Let's talk about this glorious person, who's behind Paprika, Perfect Blue, Magnetic Rose of Memories, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent, as well as a handful of others.

What are your favorites? Least favorites? Why?
How do you like him compared to other directors/writers?
Should Dream Machine be completed and released without him?
My favorite is Millennium Actress, but I like all his works.
>Should Dream Machine be completed and released without him?
I'm against it.
He's easily my favorite anime director/writer.
Paprika was the first thing I saw by him, and loved it to death. It was really well made and I loved how reality and fantasy mixed so flawlessly. Even the idea of the DC Mini was really interesting and got me hooked.
I then went on to watch Magnetic Rose which was just flat out beautiful, and a really compelling story.
Eventually, I watched Perfect Blue which again really blended real life and fantasy well, keeping you on your toes for which scenes were part of her acting and which were real life.
I ended up watching most anything he's been involved with and I just couldn't get enough.

However, I didn't care for Paranoia Agent much. Wasn't necessarily bad but I certainly wouldn't go as far to say it's one of my favorite series.

I don't think Dream Machine should be completed and released without him, but I'm still really interested in what it would have been.

I wasn't impressed with Paprika, but Millennium Actress was quite good.
Only liked Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent. Love his style when there's some suspense with it.

Acress and Godfather bored me to death.
Paprika disappointed me considering that that Inception supposedly got its idea from that film. I adored Tokyo Godfathers and Paranoia Agent. It still gave me chills when I first watched it on AS. The OP is creepy as fuck.
