Oyasumi Punpun thread?
You mean general?
but why not
136 coming out any time soon?
Nobody cares about this manga anymore. The despair was only fun when it was shared with /a/.
reminder that seki and shimizu will always be friends
just finished the last chapters. i tried not to cry.
nobody cared about your mom until she was shared with /a/
I'm glad its over
Hox scan where
you read the raw scans? does he end up with rabbit teeth or glasses girl?
That's a cute post, but you're only proving my point.
I was hoping Punpun would have fucked Aiko and left, since she pretty much ruined his life.
But I guess murdering her mother is almost as good.
The ending would've been much better without the whole cycle thing going on.
It was only logical.
Decent translations, okay quality. Lots of great scenes drawn in these last 12 chapters, so you might wanna hold out for Hox.
Legitimately going to spoil shit right here.
He ends up with glasses girl after Aiko kills herself.
Came here to post Aiko is best girl. Seki a shit
God this was a feel coaster
I felt sad every time I read this.
It had a nice ending.
Damn straight she is.
I felt like Aiko was the one who got the short end of the stick in the end though
Asano self-insert a best girl.
I'm still mad.
Aiko killing herself felt like a giant "Fuck You." to the reader.
Punpun ruined his own life. With his obsession with Aiko!
If anything, they ruined each others lives.
w-wheres the scans hox
d-dont keep me waiting
Are you even real?
I don't know what to believe anymore
believe in me tom
believe in me
When is that one story about the horny boy and girl going to end? or get fully scanned? I actually liked it a bit.
i wish he got to fuck midori one last time
Check the trip.
is v13 translated?
I already did a live translation/typesetting for it.
A girl by the sea? It's finished but nobody translated the second volume.
that's sort of a bittersweet ending. Also a sense of "closure" that this is just one person's life and somewhat unfortunate experiences, and that the next generation will have kids going through the same in a way.
Nothing really got resolved, their problems didn't go away, it isn't a grand happy ending. Sort of like how reality works most of the time.
I wonder if the author went through or knew someone who went through something like this, because this isn't really something you'd just think up for a story to publish.
It's actually getting translated now.
I like how a background nurse that played a very little part ended up being one of the nails in punpun's mental disturbance coffin.
He's trolling you, in case you still haven't caught on.
Interesting ending. So did pun-pun revert to his old self"? I'm not quite sure if this was a "happy" ending.
Not really his oldself, just himself where he accepts his life as if. He wants to live a better life and accepts it as it comes
I wanted to love Sachi the whole time, but my heart belonged to Aiko.
Am I also an autistic fuck like punpun?
>>Then Anon thought to himself "I'm probably am retarded"
You're not autistic for liking the best girl. I don't even get how some people can prefer Sachi.
Sachi was like... the ultimate bro for punpun. She had her shit together and wasn't batshit crazy like Aiko. Possibly the only person in punpun's life without severe ass-burgers.
And just when was Aiko batshit crazy? Of course killing her own mother had an impact on her, but if there's someone who went batshit after that happened it was punpun, not her. She even stops him from killing that random guy from the convenience store.
This series man this fucking series
I've never felt a feel like this before reading the last volume. Not to mention all those initial feels that hit like a truck.
also surprised pun pun got a semi happy ending
unless it was a metaphor i missed, she also did nothing to stop a fork to the eyeball.
but punpun was definitely crazy by that point as well. I guess they deserve each other.
That was the same thing she did as a kid, telling him she'd kill him if he broke his promise, and of course she never intended to do it, just like she wasn't really going to stab his eye.
Aiko isn't a real yandere, she just likes to pretend she is, and making those kinds of playful threats is the way she shows how she feels. Except this time, punpun doesn't put up with that shit, and he taunts her and forces her into action.
Not to say that it's not her fault, she was the one who drove the fork in. But breaking down into tears right after doing shows she never intended to go through with it.
Aiko is the pure waifu that /a/ and other manchildren want so they can live happy lives. Having a stupid, childlike girl will do more harm than good if she never grows up. Sachi is the realistic woman you can expect to find in Japan: has her shit together (some what) and doesn't like putting up with immature people but will do so anyway for the sake of her child.
A good bittersweet ending, as expected from a manga like this. It was total bullshit that the poop god kid lost his memory, or at least forgot about Seki. Also, I thought we were going to see PunPun's "real" face in that last panel of him, but seeing him back in bird form is a nice way of showing that he is back to being "normal".
For some reason, I thought PunPun would be the author's opus magnum but it looks like he's still doing work. Good for him/her/it.
The lost memory stuff happened because his crazy party was supposed to be gone with the SS Poop crew and Seki's memories in particular were the most related to his dead mom trauma. It makes sense for that surreal sub-plot. I liked it because it keeps coherence with the story itself.
All the craziest shit disappeared and all characters went back to "normal" life after the sect saved the planet. I also loved how, after being taken by the Poop God, they went to Punpunia and used Punpun's and Aiko's family house as headquarter.
That's not really fair to Aiko. Even if you don't think her regressing and going back to acting like a child was because of the trauma from what happened with her mother, she was trying to get her shit together and live a normal life too.
