>Hand to hand combat between hero and bad guy
>No powers or magic, just two guys beating the shit out of each other
>Villain from previous arc becomes anti-hero
Those are honestly the best things to ever happen as climaxes for a Japanese anime.
I don't know what's wrong with Japan but it just seems like they can't do endings right, at all.
>Simon vs Lordgenome
>They understand each other through their fists
>They team up and become bros to fight of the secret evil boss
I remember in Colour Wars, the protag beat the shit out of some punks early on in the series with just some hand-to-hand. It was far better than any of the other action we see in the series' drawn-out final battle thing.
Not an anime, but fuck yeah.
fate zero did it
>villain lets the hero live to train and come back stronger
Only time that's good is when the villain is making it a part of his plan.
It's not always a good thing.
>villain helps the mc out
>"Now that that's done with, FIGHT ME!"
>hero lets the villain live to train and come back stronger
>Implying that wasn't the best thing ever.
fuck you, that was awesome as shit
two old men, at the end of everything, fighting just to settle shit
This happens all the time, yet not enough.
>I don't know what's wrong with Japan but it just seems like they can't do endings right, at all.
That's not Japan, that's the anime industry. 90% of them are adaptations of unfinished work, so of course the endings are going to be half-assed.
And the reason LNs and mangas rarely end well is because those are industries which prize never-ending stories that can milked over a long period of time. So usually they only end when they're abruptly cancelled due to lack of popularity, or else long after they've been stretched past their natural lifespan and wrung completely dry.
In general there's just no respect for a complete story.
I'm actually really sick of villains who've planned out the entire plot in advance, and seeming setback is actually a step forward in a larger scheme.
>fighting just to settle shit
Are you sure it wasn't to release all that pent up sexual tension?
I like it when they manage to turn setbacks around. Improvising is pretty cool.
>To Arua Majutsu no Index
>Crowley's plan hyped forever
>Gets casually destroyed and is completely forgotten about in a view volumes
Wait, what happened?
Maybe up until the point where Ocelot switched back to himself.
We all know who's snake he would like to eat.
Yeah, and Snake wants Otacon more anyway.
Heaven's Feel did it better
Kuuga is the ur-example.
Kuuga as in KR Kuuga? I never got to the ending of that series because shit subs.
>Posting literally the best example
Bit of a disappointment considering how beautiful Ultimate and Daguva's suits are.
Yeah. Here's the final fight if you're interested.
Just skip a minute in, first bit is a flashback.
Actually, people have sex to relieve fighting tension.
But that was the greatest thing
Nah Ill pass, I'll be catching up to Kuuga later this week the moment I find better subs.
