I haven't seen:
>Any Miyazaki films
I haven't seen:
Not that it's a bad thing.
Don't let that get you down from joining in the fun.
I actually liked the first 200-something episodes of Naruto before it went Shippuden, and I even liked the filler episodes.
It is a bad thing. Next you're gonna tell me you haven't finished Boku no Pico
Well yeah. Pre-timeskip Naruto wasn't bad at all. Shippuden is where everything went downhill.
I haven't seen:
Any Gundam Series
And I didn't finish Boku no Pico
I didn't like Aria, Sora no Woto, or Hidamari Sketch.
I haven't enjoyed a single SoL aside from Love Lab in the past year.
I consider K-ON to be one of my favorite shows and still rewatch it occasionally.
Only not having seen Eva. The rest are forgivable.
/a/ doesn't make any recommendations. How can it have essentials?
I would like to watch all of the ghost in a shell stuff, but that has nothing to do with /a/.
Beyond /a/ essentials, there are anime essentials for people getting into the medium.
K-On and Raildex are awful anyway.
Shippudden is good, just skip filler episodes, but I can say the same thing as naruto.
You didn't finish Boku no Pico, or you didn't finish to Boku no Pico?
Your answer is important.
I can live wihtout ever watching K-On. I feel like Raildex is an essential series though because I see it referenced so often (especially through TouMAN and Accelerator)
Why would you want to get other people watch anime? What is in it for you?
I've seen most of Shippuden. It's just not good. The manga is slightly better, but only because there's no filler. The one thing the anime has is good voice acting.
You're expected to have already seen certain anime like cowboy bebop, evangelion, or code geass.
Watching Index was the worst anime experience I've ever had. There's nothing entertaining to be had in the entire show aside from Accelerator, and it isn't worth plowing through the bullshit just for those few episodes of cool fun.
30-ish here. I'm fairly confident I've seen more 90s anime than most here, and read more manga that isn't a jump-tier shonen, so there's that.
Naruto isn't that bad but it peaked during the Pain arc
I watched an episode of Clannad, and then I dropped it. I get that I'm watching a chinese cartoon, but those eyes are just too fucking big
You should, you'll love how TouMAN roll
Index a shit
I did the same. Strangely enough I enjoyed Air. I don't even remember why Clannad didn't click with me. Might have just been burnt out.
Shippudden is much better upon rewatching it without pauses and skipping uninteresting filler.
I generally can't watch anime that comes out once a week. It is too hard for me to remember anything.
Index is a boring as shit series and I have no idea why anyone ever references it.
Oh I am so happy you say that, I felt so bad when I dropped it. I just had finished watching others that /a/ talks about (Kaiji, Utena, a few big ones I had missed) and I found nothing worthy in that show to watch. I mean, is not that bad but is nothing compared to the rest of essentials.
