So /a/, what's a good horror anime?
>good horror anime?
No such thing exist.
Anime and horror don't come hand in hand.
Never seen Higurashi?
It was a pretty good comedy
Higurashi wasn't inherently scary.
Still a horror nonetheless.
Yes, I have.
Corpse Party was pretty good. Even more so if you've played the game.
This, can't really think of any.
I liked how they deviated most of the plots in the game
Master of Martial Hearts
its pretty good, very atmospheric, above average direction. Just turn off your brain and enjoy the ride before you watch it, its supposed to be like a ghost story told by kids, not The Shining. Laughing out loud during the last two episodes is normal.
>time loop animes
>ever being good
Shiki was the only anime that ever felt like it could qualify as a horror. Anime just isn't a good format for horror. 99 times out of 100 it's either a gorefest devoid of anything scary ( Higurashi ), an unintentional comedy ( Another ), or some philosophical acid trip ( Ghost hound ).
Yeah those watergun fights had me on the edge of my seat. What if they dress up him as a naked catboy and shove a vibrator up his boypussy before parading him around school?
are you a little girl or something? or do you want to be one?
I mainly agree with this anon. If one likes "horror" like Final Destination, then Another will be good.
You haven't watched Yami Shibai and such?
Not that it was good, but it was closer to pure horror than Shiki, which really dropped the horror pretense around the time vampires started running amock.
Is..is that in the next OVAs?
But it's the one of its kind
The rest is Adam Family tier
Huh. Thats true.
Theres still a bunch of modeling pictures left on the archive. I never thought Samumenco threads would end up like that.
God, I hope so.
There is some fanart like that though.
Yami shibai was pretty okay
Are you really that scared of butterflies?
The shamelessness of this rec thread is in very poor taste.
Not that anon but butterflies are fucking creepy
Jumpers or whatever you call those instant scares are the absolute lowest level of horror though.
The good bits are the tension it builds before the scare
The atmosphere is actually pretty good
The episode with the hair was the best with that
Hey man, Yami Shibai is cool, they do have lots of subtle scare going on.
That wasn't even a jump scare.
i still dont get it
this looks like genuine horror. its never a horror without jumpscares of ghost women coming out of the shadows
It totally was a classic jumpscare
Yami Shibai is built on those but like I said, does the pre-scare atmosphere well
My silly anon can't be this cute.
