Explain the plot of Madoka to me at a grade seven level.
A show for girls
Sailor Moon for little kids
Madoka's plot is grade 7 level.
PINNACLE OF HUMAN EMOTIONS
what's the point when the story itself is already written at a middle school level?
When two girls love each other very much...
5 young girls receive magic powers, but end up suffering a lot.
Moral of the story: Be careful what you wish for - you may not like what you get.
no that's completely wrong, they got EXACTLY what they wished for. The problem was the price they had to pay for those wishes was way greater than they had imagined
Exactly. Because they sold their souls without the wish reflecting the actual outcome they wanted, the moral is to be very careful (and extremely specific) about what you wish for.
Kyouko explains it really well early on. Sayaka's real wish, based on the outcome she wanted, was for him to become even more crippled so he would need to rely completely on her OR attribute his recovery solely to her support and continue to rely on her afterward.
Instead he got better and then he moved on, because her love was selfish.
Selfish love is sort of an ongoing theme in Madoka.
This is what happens when good little girls don't read the fine print and make deals with bad men. Stay away from bad men and contracts!
They should have just asked for the entire contract in writing. Verbal contracts are bad ideas when they involve magic.
friendship is magic
