Great anime or greatest anime?
It's in the top 5.
Second season when?
One of the best.
But by a statement like that, you are inviting trolls.
Only saw first episode. Does it go from decent to FUCKWIN from there? I didn't find it particulary good from episode 1.
Granted, judging a whole series from a single episode is stupid, I do realise that.
episodic. some eps are better.
best anime that promotes smoking
FUCK YEAH MUSHISzzzzZZzzzzzz
Vapid animu is vapid. Sage.
Not sure about greatest, but in the top 3? Sure.
ADD kid, gb2/gl/
Not the best episode, but it doesn't change much. Second episode is much more on the fuckwin side.
It has a few dull episodes but the majority are amazing.
Sage doesn't work that way.
i loved it. but i had a 'friend' who dropped it after the 1st episode. said it was 'all talk no action' series and he got confused most of the time. also he thinks TTGL and bleach is awesome a somewhat a self-declared /m/oron. what do i do /a/? what do i do?
it's really very good. has a totally unique vibe to it.
bleach is better, if you disagree you have horrible taste
FUCK YEAH MUSHISHI
The best animu ever in my book.
Wow, I was just planning to read the manga but I didn't get far in until I found something else to do. Should I go back and read it or is this thread an elaborate troll construction?
Fuck yeah, Bleach!
make him watch episode 2
but honestly he won't like it no matter what
second episode is what honestly hooked me
cap from episode 2
Every time the ending theme rolled it was like an emotional release. Beautiful anime.
it's a pleasant watch
He isn't even trying.
I know what you mean. The ending themes were brilliant.
yup my favourite ep by far :)
I watched 5 episodes so far, and I really liked it. But I'll be waiting for my new TV, because watching it on a 15" kinda ruins the scenery.
the manga is exactly the same as the anime, but I doubt it's appreciable
the art of the anime is really what keeps you going
TTGL is awesome but it's to different from Mushishi for any comparison to make sense.
TTGL resides in the top 5 for last year, Mushishi resides in the top 5 for all time.
I found the manga dire compared to the anime.
i'd love a 2nd season but seeing all the 2nd season of my personal favorite turned to trash and copy pasta saddens me. its good enough as it is, let it rest and gather dust and someday brings smiles to us again when we're finaly 'old'.
The only anime I felt the need to show my parents.
I WALKED TEN THOUSAND MILES
TEN THOUSAND MILES TO SEE YOU
AND EVERY GASP OF BREATH
I GRABBED IT JUST TO FIND YOU
I actually have both soundtracks and listen to them regularly
one of my fav OSTs
Greatest fuck yeah
Most of the stories are excellent as well. The art and music in the anime do add a lot to it, though.
is Mononoke really half as good as this? Been contemplating watching that.
puts most other anime's to shame. awesome.
I like to leave the soundtracks on when I go to sleep.
the storytelling is different, but it is similar in that it has a slow pace. both are excellent. do watch it.
Ginko is too cool ^__^
Are there english subs for this show? The only subs I found were German.
Threads like this make me wish I had that extension for dumping folders of images.
Mushishi is my all-time greatest anime. It's so untouchable that I don't even respond to trolls, even when I'll defend other series on /a/. It's still the only anime AND manga I've ever spent money on.
Yes, there's even a dub. Pretty good dub, actually.
It pisses me off that I can't get get half my anime-friends to like it..
Anyway, isn't there enough manga for a second season? Do want!
mushi-shi presents the surreal and mysterious without blundring into sophistry of many a pseudo-sophisticate. thus in my view it stands alone as one of the most important pieces of anime produced this decade. Ginko our hero, is a deep and well developed character whose purpose is self evident. his ''walkabout'' is not exactly explained in any conventional sense, it is however revealed in a non-linear fashion, in different unrelated epispdes. the tragedy of ginko is not stressed; he does not come across as a cliche (do-gooder) archetype. instead he is a man who understands his doom. he is a man who understands ecology and the need for pragmaticsm in the world, he is the supreme geometeric-ecologist....
Episode 8 is my favourite. I was speechless when the ending theme started playing.
Episode 20 is mine.
I wish I could find the dub online past episode 18. I have all but that.
And yeah I have stuff worthy of folder dumping too but I don't have time.
Heh, episode 8 was directed and storyboarde by the director and storyboard artist of FLCL 3 and Gurren-Lagann 26.
Only the first 5 out of 6 DVDs have been released in North America.
I like Mononoke much better myself, but it's a completely different show.
thank you for killing mushishi for me
I should add that Episode 18 is the last one in volume 4, so I would guess that nobody has gotten around to ripping volume 5, which goes up to 22.
I've never liked that wall, this is one of my favourites.
MOAR MUSHISHI PICS
HD version of Mushishi would be epic, amirite?
Anyways, I have stuff to do, can't dump my whole folder.
Huge files are huge, should I bother to get the DVD version or should I just watch the AF-F/ANBU ones I already got?
What's the resolution on those?
Behold! For $150 this can be yours!
k i g2g no more from me
How about some scenery pictures from the anime?
hey look I'm back
stupid sexy Ginko
why is he such a slut
no anon, you are the slut.
I'm in your thread postin' cute mspaint picture...
well I've posted all my best stuff anyway so i'm done
