Log Horizon thread
Talk about why Goblins are filthy subhuman scum that need to be purged here.
>early to a LH thread
You almost got me with those surprise boxes.
Goblins did nothing wrong, fuck you.
So, about those mobile airships..
>inb4 Goblin Internet Defense For---
They are mindless freaks that think of nothing but rape, pillage, and murder
you don't meet the necessary skill requirements to operate such things in the database anon.
no fun allowed
They seem pretty cool from the explanation I received! I wonder if, with /time/ and some considerable defense force, checkpoints couldn't be posted around mountain chains.
Fucking Chester in the back isn't even doing it. Way to ruin the whole thing.
Go to Mamare's twitter and ask if boats needed a skill level or subclass to sail. If not, then airships or blimps are perfectly fine
Mere goblins cannot defeat the People of the Land. We must fight the enemy head on. God wills it!
Even the spineless girl thinks that goblins should be eradicated.
>This nigga thinks hes such hot shit
The Gods may will it, but the nobles are too busy arguing to make a decision
To get off the gun topic, how about this
Suppose you were a Bard after the Catastrophe. Would you attempt to bring the gift of the old worlds music to the Lander populace? This is of course assuming Bard magic gives you the ability to sing good.
I don't mind being a member if akatsuki is part of the group as well.
>Akatsuki gazed up from below surprising Shiroe. This petite and beautiful girl was unaware of her own charms. She was always looking straight ahead, so when Shiroe saw her big, black and shiny eyes and lips that sparkled alluringly like pudding face to face, his heart would race and his emotions got awkward.
>There had even been signs before, but Akatsuki was getting better at sneaking up on him. Maybe it was her small stature or her tracker and assassin abilities, she was always appearing in surprising places when Shiroe was distracted.
>Without even stretching his hands, he could already feel her body warmth just by bending a little. This distance made Shiroe uncomfortable, but Akatsuki didn't seem to mind as she showed her concern for Shiroe like some small animal.
Damn, he is dense as fuck.
The Knights of Izumo would settle the debate pretty quickly
I think it does, that things Henrietta did with the talking and humming tune at the same time while dancing with Shiroe comes to mind.
>Adventurers build electric guitars/synth stuff when?
Also I know Mamare isn't a physics buff, but I'd like to see some working in electronics and electricity. Radio Market is very aptly named for the electronics task.
Don't think they are dense. Just very very awkward.
Goblins are trash that should be rounded up and aoe'd.
She's not. In the novels, she says that the reason she likes that particular kind of goblin is that they wear cloth and are easy for her to Assassinate.
It's like people are forgetting that Mechanic is an actual class.
>lips that sparkled alluringly like pudding
I seriously hope Radio Market delves into that territory further and further, their name does suggest that.
Exactly. In general, goblins are just demi-humans, they have a HINT of purpose, but it's all lost, and all they can do is move in a nigh-unending storm of rage.
Didn't even the anime mention that those skull ones are arrogant and like to waltz up to the fornt lines despite their shitty cloth armour?
Fuck you no fun allowed.
She also says she likes how they crumple to the ground when she kills them
I don't know, but Idol subclass sure doesn't make you good at singing. Tetra is horrible.
Where can I download the novels?
Well some items allude to possible magic sound systems, as Tetra has a magic wand in the style of a microphone that actually works like a mic after the Catastrophe, allowing Tetra to sing
Sadly she is a terrible singer
Anime just had her say that she thinks they're cute, which misses the point entirely.
singing isn't what makes the Idol
I think thats also cause Tetra is a cleric. Maybe if she was a bard it would fix her singing
Eastern and western pudding. Learn the difference, it may save your life.
If you have an android device look into getting their app BakaReaderEX
The sailor class makes boats easier. It doesn't make it impossible to use the boat from the subclass descriptions.
Also alternatively call the airship a boat.
Sailor subclass now gives you everything you need.
Eastern pudding is that stuff that sets in molds right? Right my nip purin?
And western pudding is more like the consistency of a thick custard like pudding cups?
Imagine all the long-time players who had to level-90 dozens of Foxtail characters so they could have the perfect min-maxed Mage/Healer class.
With that said, just imagine just how broken an optimally min-maxed Foxtail Sorcerer could be:
>Enchanter's sleep-inducing skill and immobilizing skill allowing for what's effectively free damage turns
>Enchanter's Thorn Bind Hostage + Sorcerer's AoE spells allowing you to deal damage to an immobilized target from afar and activate every thorn vine simultaneously
>Any given healer's self-heal skills or Summoner's defense-based summons
>Swashbuckler's interrupt-casting skill to stop enemy Mages/Healers
>Monk's Phantom Step to evade like a motherfucker
>Bard's Harmony Carol automatically attacking after you do effectively doubling your spell power
>Bard's Meditation Nocturne to automatically recover MP even while mid-combat
All that coupled with absurd MP thanks to the Race + Class bonus and what's pretty much objectively the best (in-universe) racial ability, Foxtail's are OP as fuck.
>A role-playing subclass teaching skills involving ships. As it is fairly easy to advance, this subclass has become a one-size-fits-all subclass to learn most of the skills involving ships. Advancing as a Sailor teaches you control of the ship (operation of sails, reading the weather and stars), how to repair the hull, and rope work (be it climbing or tying), fishing and related swimming skills, fighting on the ship together, plus skills such as seasickness tolerance.
Yeah - what Japan thinks of as pudding is creme caramel which is set in a mold and looks wet and shiny, as opposed to the western concept of steamed sponge, christmas pud etc. - hardly erotic.
I'd just sub courtesan class and take over the world via boning people's wives.
That was actually a tactic used by real spies.
They sent Ronald Dahl to the white house to bone the president's wife until she'd nag the president to do whatever they wanted.
Or was that sean connnery? or gandalf? or The writer ofJames Bond? I confuse them all the time because they ran around doing that as a group all through ww2.
Imagine all the players who had to level-90 dozens of Foxtail characters so they could have the perfect min-maxed Mage class. With that said, just imagine just how broken an optimally min-maxed Foxtail Sorcerer could be:

Well, they're filthy, yeah, and they're subhumans. But I don't see how that automatically makes them purgeable.
>tfw Foxtail Summoner with Assassinate
The word "randomly" implies that min-maxing is next to impossible.
Also there's no indication that you stop losing skills at some point so even if you got the perfect character it would only last until the database decided to fuck with you.
That's the risk you take when you're living in the database.
Build boats? You meant shipwright?
Agreed, they are filthy. And yes, subhumans. They are also in a rampant and unstoppable violence wave against the most civilized, "peaceful" forms. They don't want to reason--although that would be both a quite welcoming change and also interesting, from a scholar's point of view--, nor do they want to just grow at peace. Their very birth rate has been adjusted by the terrible curse years ago, and they are born almost all the time, with no clear sign of stabilizing or even stopping anytime soon.
They must be purged, not for sport, or for a sick, perverted sense of justice. They must be purged, else we are first.
By the way, pardon me if I get any of this wrong, I'm not as knowledgeable as most members in this honorable thread.
>Not playing heavy metal on a downtuned-lute.
I bet Saemon Havarian is behind this shit.
Sailor seems to be a catch all subclass, kind of like Maid, where you gain skills from a bunch of different subclasses, while also have unique skills of your own. I'd imagine a Woodcrafter could repair a ship much better, or outright build a ship, where a Sailor could only patch up some damage.
This translation of the class sheet doesn't mention that these skills are lost/acquired when LEVELING.
In other words, "min-maxing" a Foxtail is possible, but it requires being the RNG's bitch.
Bios or stats of each class?
>>The Fox-Tail race loses primary class skills randomly with level ups. Was this just to balance out the higher beginner stats? Were there more reasons?
>This is unreasonable for an MMO, and so wouldn't appear in a reality.
>However, it was necessary to make Shiroe's rival character special.
>demi humans were created as vengeance from alvs
>alvs were wiped out cause humans/elves/dwarves couldn't contain their jelly
>humans/elves/dwarves now in danger from demi humans
No landers, you're the subhuman, none of these would have happened if you would have just left the Alvs in peace and lived in harmonious co-existence. You bite off more than you could chew and are now paying the price. Goblins did nothing wrong, landers scum.
>LOW POLY CG
>Go out on a pleasant sailing trip with your party, maybe go fishing or searching for treasure
>Suddenly this shows up
>You have no Fishermen subclasses on the boat
thorn bind hostage
So they are the niggers of that world?
It;s not a risk when you can power level like mad and see what your remaining/new skills are. It's probably less effort than trying to get phantasmal gear with possibly a higher payoff.
Imagine being an assassin or monk with anchor howl. You could basically chain that with your skills and one shot a bunch of people once the real tank has some decent hate.
Now you're just saying anime lines.
All dat copypasting
but that's all they spam
I-I don't get this
Seems like Sailor is speialized in navigation, mapping, and swimming.
About reading the stars, are the constellations still same with old world?
I would doubt it, I mean the moon has an ocean and apparently snow so the heavenly bodies are probably different.
We turning this into a seamonster thread again?
Had to look this up after I typed it out. Imagine this guy playing for a bunch of landers.
Music of the devil.
All budget went to her
Seamonster thread, hooray!!
Samurai/Fisherman would be a bit more badass, mostly because I think a guy with a sword slicing fish monsters in one move seems more stylish than a guy doing a single punch or tons of them.
Still, Monk/Fisherman combo is also pretty great!!
Any other combos for the Sea Life?
Have you guys thought about, maybe, a Summoner/Sailor?
whys that one fish wearing goggles.
Is he the leader of the group?!
Is she that monk from the Harem Guild or was that someone else?
>Has nothing but sea monsters contracted as his servants
>Absolutely useless on dry land, but a murder king on the sea
RIDE THE SEAS ON A GIANT MONSTER SHARK
don't spoiler the name precurefag
We dont know. prevailing theory is he had a rare drop.
But, you know, actually useful.
Okay, so they probably will not see Southern Cross for south direction, Polaris as north star, and Orion for east or west direction.
Wait, so Sailor and Astronomer abities are collided?
Imagine how tense a sea raid would be. Fleets of Advenutrer ships sailing together onto the dark sea, hunting after the prey that lurks in the depths. The tension in the air as the sky grows cloudy as a storm rolls in, look outs keeping their eyes peels on the waves for any sign of the beast.
And then it's spotted, and the hunt begins
>1% votes (11%)
What? It says 197 votes (11%)
so many assassin fags
Should've just put the Log Horizon in the Subject ,so people can filter and such.
He's just not a lolicon.
Why doesn't the council just sponsor a public 'raid quest' to go to Choushi and fight the goblins for Smaug amounts of gold?
Is the question log for Mamare-san in the pastebin? Anyone got it at hand?
Glad I picked Guardian otherwise you'd all be rushing straight into the Hate.
He thinks she just thinks of him as a small animal while he's clearly infatuated with her.
Reverse the he's and she's and you'll get it right.
If Mamare came back to 4chan tomorrow for another Q&A, what would you ask him?
>Will Henrietta grow with love too, or is she too plain?
>Is there still a level cap of 100, or can you increase your level past that?
>Do you need the Sailor subclass to sail a ship or be a member of its crew, or can anyone build a raft and sail over the ocean?
>Can you negotiate with intelligent demihumans like The Goblin King?
>Does the NA server have a tribal/Native American aesthetic, or a Colonial one?
>Is he an open pervert or a closet pervert?
>What color pantsu does he wear?
>Are there other currencies in the world, or does everyone only use gold coins?
>Will Scribes see more recognition/will it be shown that Scribes can write contracts for quests to be carried out and successfully award experience points?
>Will Rudy become even more amazing?
>Are there more plans for side-stories?
>So they can pick what they want to forget while they're at the moon?
>What did Akatsuki forget?
>Why doesn't Mamare make VNs of his LNs? I'd love to play a Log Horizon VN.
>What is his favorite TRPG (Tabletop RPG)?
>Is his imouto a closet pervert or an open pervert?
>Will Touya ever find love like the rest of the members in Log Horizon?
>Why does Shiroe need so many secret police?
>Is Inctis a Touhoufag?
>Will you have sidestories that take place after the main story?
>What is Henrietta's Overskill supposed to do?
>Can you explain the stories behind the nicknames characters have, like how Shiroe was first named "Black-Heart" and how Krusty got "Berserker?"
>Is William Massachusetts actually a foreigner playing on the Yamato server?
>What do special classes like Sword Saint and Dragon Slayer provide in terms of skills?
>Are humanoid summons (Summon Sword Princess mai waifu) intelligent like the People of the Land?
Why did no one oppose the tyrannical action of buying the guild hall?
Why is this allowed?
>This petite and beautiful girl was unaware of her own charms. She was always looking straight ahead, so when Shiroe saw her big, black and shiny eyes and lips that sparkled alluringly like pudding face to face, his heart would race and his emotions got awkward
>This distance made Shiroe uncomfortable, but Akatsuki didn't seem to mind as she showed her concern for Shiroe like some small animal.
These are both Shiroe's train of thought.
>Can the creation of new tools or weapons give birth to new classes/subclasses/crafts (most obvious example being guns giving birth to a Gunner class)?
>Are all subclasses available to all classes? Can you min-max with strange combinations like Druid Berserker?
>How does the skill Insight work for a Pathfinder? How do they detect nearby enemies and players and what are the limitations of their bonus loot?
>Can Shiroe create new spells that can be learned by other players?
>Is Akatsuki small due to a genetic disorder, or is it a hormone imbalance that keeps her from aging?
Probably will set up a Gdoc for this in the future or something.
You should put Log Horizon Thread in the Subject line so people can filter this.
Frodo no, pls.
It's the Round Table's job to deal with such exceptional occurrences, and making contracts would just create a mass of confusion. Although yes, I think they will/should make some to attack the villages and keep this from happening again.
Thank you kindly fellow anon!!
"I turned around today only to find this guy taking a swing at me. I parried it! Those last two seconds of my life were filled with such pride."
I really love how Minami-chan is sort of turning into Shiro 2.0. Shes' changed so much throughout the series.
She's already a better strategist than Naotsugu
>It's simple, we kill them!
I'd say Shiroe isn't infatuated with anyone to any special degree. He just reacts poorly to pretty women.
I think they just misread it, since it specifically says 'supposed to be acquired'. Which means it's not EVERY level or whenever it just wants to, but just on the level where they get a new skill.
Still a RNG bitch.
To be fair, taking the offensive in a situation like that makes more sense than defending a city with no walls.
She just needs glasses.
I found it to be both clever and unimpressive at the same time.
It's nice that she's essentially applying the knowledge they've acquired from failing dungeon runs so many times that she understands the logistics behind "how failure works."
But at the same time, it isn't that big of a stretch to realize that playing Tower Defense without any towers is a terrible idea.
Krusty gives the best advice.
>Not playing Hero Siege
This is the solution to most RPG problems
>Cleaning and sorting my LH folder
>Over 75% of my reaction images are Akatsuki
I don't know what this means, either I really love Akatsuki or she makes a really good tsukkomi reaction face character.
Fuck you moot, that wasn't the image I posted
So what are Akihabara's infrastructure priorities right now?
>perfect steam engine
>build printing presses
>establish electrical system
>construct utility works and aquaducts
>build a highway or railroad system
>invent GPS system
>Never played Sanctum 4p co-op no towers
>More supplies so we can cook more shit
>Materials for new technologies like steam engines
Improving commerce, probably. Right now overland travel isn't safe, and they don't have the means to mass-produce ships. Mamare mentioned in one of his Q&A's that the railroad tracks could be reclaimed, so building a train network is probably their biggest long-term goal.
Anyone have Nyanta's translated stats page? I'm also missing Nazuna's translated one.
Are there any really small young kids running around with decent/high level characters? I've known some people to have their kids cover for them when they go afk and do better than most of the other healers on my server.
What happens if your cat jumped on your keyboard before the apocalypse?
There are some structures in my home country called "moongates." I was going to have them connect to the moon as a joke before i found out that the moon is where everyone goes when they die. Does the flavor text update cause them to be a secret shortcut to there?
Electricity supply isn't really a necessity atm given they have no electrical appliances, someone needs to look into building those.
Lighting is easily achieved magically or by fire/candles.
While radio tech is definitely a necessity for digital data transfers like text and stuff, it'll probably take a backseat sinced the telepathy chat system fulfills the need
eeeeh I don't know. None of the veteran adventurers gave two shits about the city, and there was no reason to fight the goblins.
They just went along with Minami's plan because Nyanta wanted to give the newbies support for acting as a party and make they feel useful for creating and executing a plan.
It's on the wiki. The real one, not the wikia.
Telepathy only works between friends on a one-to-one basis, hence Shirou having to jury rig a relay system for the Round Table. Even then it's not a guarantee in the long term, since guild chat stopped working in the apocalypse. It also can't be used to communicate with Landers.
I want to bully and tease Serara and make her cry
I want to gank you and camp your corpse.
Huh whats the closest class to SCH from FFXIV?
I'd probably play that.
Demikas pls go
>no reason to fight the goblins.
I don't really get this. I'd fight tooth and nail to defend the Landers. Maybe I'm just fucked up like that.
The idea that Landers are actually people that aren't invincible or don't respawn isn't public knowledge yet. When they went to Choushi on the way to training camp, they were still treating the Landers as quest turn-ins.
I miss Derishasu, will he ever come back?
You're thinking too small. Imagine cross server communication via radio.
It wasn't much of a question if at all in the novel either.Team noob was traveling to the town to warm em. Whatever they were going to do next wasn't discussed until the houses on the outskirts were found to be abandoned.
>Using 1% as a unit, forecast 30 seconds ahead.
>This sentence meant that he could envision the battle 30 seconds into the future and grasp his allies' remaining MP with an error of 1%.
>In high-level battles, understanding the environment was a basic principle and Naotsugu could understand this point. When he was fighting on the front-lines, he could gauge about how much MP his teammates had left, but only to the extent of full, enough, half, waning, danger, empty, these 6 levels. Mid-level player probably could gauge 2 levels of enough and not enough, if it was just your own MP it should be easy, but to know the MP of your allies of different classes was difficult.
>Minori even memorized the MP recovery speed of everyone as she checked their status. During battles, Minori used 5% as a unit to gauge the changes in MP of her allies. She was able to forecast 5-10 seconds into the future based on the rate of MP and HP consumption as she 'read' the battles. Although the accuracy needed to be improved, this forecast had been useful in preventing MP wastage.
>Minori thought this was child's play compared to Shiroe, but Naotsugu would be stumped if he heard these words.
>Using 5% as a unit meant she knew the number of times a spell could be cast by her allies, such as enough to cast a mid-level healing spell twice more. This level of observation was far beyond that of a normal level 30 Adventurer.
I thought that was why Isuzu was freaking out about the whole Rudy thing. Does she know somehow?
I wonder how Sigilmakers work. Do individual sigils cause an effect, or can an array of sigils increase an intended effect/cause something unusual depending on the array? Do certain sigils/arrays need a constant supply of MP to activate their effects, or are all the bonuses they grant passive in nature? Is there a numerical limit to how many sigils/arrays can be applied to an item/person, or is sigil space determined by both the size of the item/person and the skill of the sigilmaker?
If sigilmakers operate the way I think they do, I'd roll as a Ceremonial Tribe Monk Sigilmaker for sweet Tat array bonuses for reducing cooldowns to an even stupider level and increasing speed and attack.
A pet healer class that focuses on damage mitigation more than base heals.
Sounds like a summoner with shaman as a subclass or the other way around.
Except Shiroe and the guild leaders in the palace there, none of the other adventurers had any experience with Landers, so it's still a bunch of NPCs. If I'm not mistaken, they don't even know that Landers don't respawn after they die.
So it's basically a bunch of lvl 90 ignoring low level mobs because they really can't be bothered.
I want to tease and bully pregnant Serara. I want to poke her spare tire, slap her ass, pinch her thighs, and tell her what a pudgy little dumpling she is until she breaks down and cries.
Than I would hold her close and let her cry as she beats her tiny little fists into my chest while I stroke her hair and smell her. Eventually when she stops crying I would ask to see her swollen tummy and getting down on my knees press my face against it and feel her warmth and softness, praying for the baby to kick. As soon as I hear Serara stop sniffling I would look up at her smiling face with it's still red eyes, and stop teasing her again. I would call her fat and used goods and tell her now that herr body is ruined no man but me would ever want her. I would grab her by her hair and drag her into the bed room where I would ravage her sloppy pussy for hours.
Sex is supposed to be good for pregnant girls after all.
She didn't freak out over Rudy, she freaked out over her buddy list and was like "oh well I guess this doesn't work right either? I'll just try again later lol"
No, it's already common knowledge that Lander's die even when they're killed.
I meant during the scene where Rudy wanted to go defend the town.
Can you molest other players or people of the land sexually?
Uh... the training camp wasn't immediately. They still had to do some basic planning as the lander news spread. At the very least everyone knew that Landers dont respawn by then.
>bullying a pregnant woman
There is a special level of Hell reserved for your kind.
When Him, Shiroe and William go raid and get raped
Can someone post [adjusts glasses] with Shiroe, Henrietta?
I'd then bro up with a Guardian Blacksmith, and together we'd make Theldesia's very first Power Armor.
Kannagi. Their spells are all about damage neutralization with some healing.
you would probably need a mechanic instead
Dude. we had an entire arc based around one town turning into a den of rape.
>Sex is supposed to be good for pregnant girls after all.
Let me tell you a story mate.
There was this couple I knew and they always went at it like rabbits. Even as far ast 8 months into pregnancy. Now when their kid was born it appeared healthy at first, but by the time he reached the age of 16 he walked up to his father then started slapping him on the forehead and asked "how do you like when someone does that to you dad"?
So what's going on in the Ninetail Kingdom? Apparently the player city there is mostly abandoned?
She just didn't want to go because it made no sense to defend a town of Landers against 15000 goblins for no gain, and it was a day's journey to get there.
> Naotsugu would be stumped if he heard these words.
>This level of observation was far beyond that of a normal level 30 Adventurer.
This tells me that Naotsugu would be impressed because Minori is much better strategist than those of lvl 30, not that she's much better than him.
I'm just interpreting your quotes without context, so I don't know if it's right. Feel free to say I'm wrong.
That wasn't explicit enough.
Mmh, you're right, Kannagi. My bad, comparing SCH to Druid was a dumb move.
>When he was fighting on the front-lines, he could gauge about how much MP his teammates had left, but only to the extent of full, enough, half, waning, danger, empty, these 6 levels.
Minori calculates using 5% as a unit, so 20 levels of MP compared to Naotsugu's 6.
well no one said it was good for the baby.
Serara is not a fat girl, asshole. She is healthy and delicious.
I just now realized there's no archer class. What's up with that?
huntards are fagets
it's an MMO everyone can use bows
How does sub classes work?
Can you use main classes as sub classes?
It's a natural reaction to want to bully cute fat girls
>This tells me that Naotsugu would be impressed because Minori is much better strategist than those of lvl 30, not that she's much better than him.
>I'm just interpreting your quotes without context, so I don't know if it's right. Feel free to say I'm wrong.
Naotsugu himself, a level capped veteran of the legendary tea party, can only track MP to about 20% accuracy. Yes he'd be impressed by Minori already doing it at 5% as a level 23ish player who didn't even start trying this until a few days ago.
Oh ok, now I got it. You're right.
Assassins and Bards make for good archers I guess. That being said archer as a class concept is really shitty. See >>100626501
How is she fat? She is healthy.
You're probably right.
Imagine bringing together a Sigilmaker, Blacksmith, Scribe, and Mechanic to create Power armor: A Blacksmith for the armor, a Scribe to create bastardized spells for the armor to use (if Marmalade ever confirms Scribes being able to do this), Sigilmaker for STR, SPD, and DEX arrays, along with coding/anticoding for Scribe spells, and the Mechanic to bring it all together and streamline it.
Holy shit, if this ever happened, it'd be fucking amazing.
Not a single thing in your post is true. Stop explaining things you yourself don't know.
You're a god man Anon, better than most Adventurers.
Clerics are the best
>Look at that guy defending the mortal Landers with his immortal life he's so brave and righteous
I think it's public knowledge that they're people and don't respawn, but the mechanics behind it (Regan's talk with Shiroe) are secret.
Anime original content. They used her to point out that they could just all warp home and ignore the goblins.
Sounds really unnecessarily autistic. The overall rate that mp is dropping or coming back is more important usually.
Of course the weeblords of /a/ would pick the special snowflake 1hko solo ninja loli class.
Do you need a reason to protect people's lives?
Keep telling yourself that Americlap
Are you seriously implying thats fat and not just "a little healthy"?
Its been three months since the Catastrophe, the knowledge that Landers are people, and they can die, is common knowledge across Akiba. Even during the meeting when Isaac called them NPCs, Roderick lectured him that that mindset is no longer right and Isaac apologized calling it a habit.
I'll follow you to the ends of the earth, anon.
You asking for a fight mate? I swear I'll smack you in the gabber. She is healthy, not fat. Just because she's not a twig doesn't mean she's a big girl. She just has meat in all the right places.
>Crusty died twice since the apocalypse
>Max leveled leader of combat guild
Wat a scrub.
>the melee dps/rogue type character not being the most popular
Have you even played an MMO before
Assassins are actually really good archers, they can use pretty much every skill with a bow except for 4 melee exclusive ones.
>Assassinate with a bow
Have you seen Crusty's schedule?
He's the incarnation of 'gud'
Say it to his face and not on the internet and see what happens scrublord
Moralfag pls leave. Just kidding anons, you're good people.
Landers are still less than people from most Adventurers point of view. Sure, they *know* that this is wrong, but they just don't care enough.
If you don't think Serara is the tightest shit then get out of my face
That artist does strange things to my chinchin.
Crippled Serara bothers me a lot.
I wouldn't say that I mean Demikas of all people marries a Lander noblewoman. Even if they have that mindset right now, it will quickly change
I'd let her sweep my database.
She's a lvl 42 "maid" who's into cats of course she's the tightest
Then to the ends of the earth we go, brother.
Thats because Demikas is a little bitch
If you don't think stump feet are the tightest shit, etc. etc.
Well, yeah, I was talking specifically about the time of the goblin invasion.
But he has a wife, anon, something you will never have. How does that make him a bitch.
So if everyone adapts to life in the database to that extent if shiroe pulls a marche will it still be justified?
Anyone else think it's weird that "maid" is a subclass at all?
There is enough of us that recognize the true power and majesty of the greatest class that it almost offsets it
>IMMA BIG BEAUTIFUL WOMAN! THIS IS FAT SHAMING, YOU'RE A BIGOT! HEALTHY AT ANY SIZE, HEALTHY AT ANY SIZE.
Don't get so worked up anon, you will start sweating and have to call your mom in to help you change your mumu. You will probably need like three Big Macs to recover all your lost calories after that.
AH AH not so deeply, you wouldn't want to have to work now would you?
Now relax and have another nice handful of butter.
Don't you feel better now?
Thanks Anon, I was about to say that myself.
Krusty truly is GUD.
He's a pussy whipped bitch that likes to be spanked by cougars
Yeah. It does have in game functions, though. It's apparently mostly meant for roleplaying stuff.
I guess that's what they mean when they say Elder Tale has stuff for casuals (weird roleplaying niche shit) and hardcore MMO players
Not really. Housekeeper actually provided low level skills from a few other subclasses in addition to the ability of keeping zones clean.
That's more than an inch she's pinching there
TCELES B HSUP?
Im sure there will be a large number of folks who want to go back home
>People who have lovers or family they miss back in the old world
>Parents who lost their kids
The best solution I can find, if they ever do find a way home, is that some leave and some stay
Roleplaying. Also, there's a need for that, given places (often houses and guildhalls) are dirty. Hamelin's halls were dirty as shit, because no maids cleaned those up. Not only it's good roleplaying (from my point of view), but seems like it pays kinda okay to just level up cleaning.
>Be Summoner/Maid (or Butler--I suppose there is a male counterpart)
>Max both classes
>Work as a personal assistant and bodyguard for a guild master of your choice
Not him, but I ate a stick of butter once and it made me sick as fuck. I don't think that's very good advice.
I dont know how Elder Tales works, but if you can have multiple characters it's useful as a class for a second character as means of making money.
Thats bad how?
just dropped the show. nothing but random /b/ humor and piss-poor writing. no more
I only have one question.
What's it like tasting shit in your mouth all the time?
I was really liking the political aspects that were being explored in the recent episodes, but I'm pretty excited to see some combat happen now. Minori is turning into mini-Shiroe and I love it.
Multiple character slots, Shiroe had a female summoner as his alt.
It's funny how they haven't mentioned all the guys who were playing as girl characters. Only vice versa.
So who else would take Woodcrafter as a subclass leave the cities and go live in the comfy mountains?
Bonus points if you settle amongst Landers and live a quiet life among them
Tetra is one
Also by volume 6 theres a low qrade appearance change potion in mass production, which saves those poor souls stuck in the wrong gender
Can't stay comfy when the armies of fucking Sauron are all over the goddamn hills and forests
Eh, only if they animate something like in the OP. The battles until now were pretty weak animation-wise.
I wouldn't take the subclass, but I'd ask a Woodcrafter to build me a house near the beach, or one of those houses on legs in the water
Or maybe a house boat
You mean like The last half of SAO
No thanks. There's adventure to be had.
Yeah you can have alts, and I was considering a Guardian/Armorer, but damn.
Summoner/Butler (?) is a really fine idea.
they just rewrite everything so the main char says it. plus he is never wrong. its pretty bad writing
That's exactly how I chose to play Ultima Online when I played it as a kid. I didn't fight monsters and level up or any of that shit. I just wanted to gather wood and craft things. I died a lot, but I remember enjoying myself anyway. Took animal training too and tamed a deer.
She needs to gently corrected. I would make her stand there and watch me eat every meal, poking her in the gut every time she reached for something. I would keep her with me 24/7 and make her sleep on the side of the bed facing the wall so she couldn't escape without waking me. Every time I caught her crying I would get face to face with her and tell her "didn't you want to be thin? I thought you wanted people to think you are pretty? I would like you even if you are a fatass" I would do this for however long it would take her to break down sobbing and tell me that she didn't want to be pretty, she just wanted to have something to eat. I would grab her and hold her in my arms and tell her that everything is okay, I still loved her. I would then take her out to the nicest restaurant I could find, ask her what she thinks looks good. Hopefully she would say that she couldn't decide because a few things looked delicious. I would order everything she mentioned and when it arrived have the waiter put it all in front of her. I would drink wine while she ate. Eventually she would start to get full and slow down.
This is the moment I have been waiting for.
I would ask her if she wasn't hungry, and when she tells me she is full I would tell her, "that's a shame. I guess you are still dead set on being pretty. I guess we will have to go back on our little diet, now won't we?" At these words her breath would catch in her throat, and with a trembling hand she would reach down and mechanically start eating. I would continue drinking and watch. When she starts to get sick, I would ask her if she is full again, she would shake her head and keep eating. She would make herself so sick she would vomit at the table. I would call her a disgusting animal and tell her just how lucky she is to have someone as loving as me to forgive her terrible manners. I would make her stand and apologize to the entire restaurant. When we got home would fuck her while she cries.
That's no problem now is it? You just kill yourself and forget all about it.
>Shiroe is never wrong
>Shiroe comes up with all the ideas
Ah, you poor, poor shit-eating soul.
>one of those houses on legs in the water
>>Be Summoner/Maid (or Butler--I suppose there is a male counterpart)
Mamare said 'housekeeper' was a better translation
You could still have a comfy house and go on adventures
Hell, have someone build you a house on wheels, and strap some big monsters to the front to pull it around. An early version of the RV
You think Shiroe could manage to draw up a magical contract that allows players to access their alts? Or maybe even to just log out? The spoilers I've seen about Rudy lead me to believe that with his max leveled scribbling and high level materials, he's able to alter to games core mechanics
You might want to see a psychiatrist.
Melee DPS offtanks tend to be the most popular though.
Archeage better hurry the fuck up.
>tracking allies' MP
Fucking why? You only ever need to keep track off yours and sometimes the healer's.
Something as important as "I had kids back in the old world" would not be in the region of memories forgotten
I know this was a misquote. That guy above me is an idiot. Clearly my childhood self knew the superior way to play Ultima Online.
Why not? MP only regenerates naturally and there's no MP pots ever being mentioned. Hell, even HP pots are bad.
At first I thought you were just misspelling archmage or something.
That looks like it'd end up like Hearth and Haven or any other 'build whatever you want' sort of RPG, where inevitably you just get fucked by Russians or whatever.
I've always preferred healing classes. I get to hold everyone's fate in my hands and enjoy being in higher demand.
It would be so chill. A small, two story hut on the water, crammed with all kinds of knick knacks and shit I've gathered on my adventures. I could laze out on the porch, fishing or watching the boats sail by or the fish swim around in the water, and just enjoy the day.
I imagine people play those characters because they're the most fun to play. Tanks just sit around aggroing enemies, healers sit around micro managing health bars, ranged dps sit around spamming the nuke button, the rogues get to run around dodging attacks and hitting for massive damage and stufff. Just seems more exciting.
That's been my experience in mmos at least.
I'll tell you what needs to hurry the fuck up.
She's the group tactician.
Those are immediately getting fucked up by the first hurricane/typhoon that comes along.
It's an MMO where there are large areas of land that are meant solely for player built stuff, from buildings to landscaping. Whole cities can be raised up by players, and you can even build stuff down by the beach.
Also it has boats that you can sail and have players ride on.
If you forget hard enough, maybe you'll stop caring.
Or you can try to get back. Your choice.
Eh, people play the generic melee dps offtank archetypes because they are easy to play and often reasonably good in most content.
>Not retracting the legs and riding the storm out in your cozy hut
Yeah, I looked it up.
Like I said, it does look cool, but these sort of things are always swarmed under by hordes of player killers.
So either lost at sea or several miles inland IF the storm miraculously doesn't destroy everything?
Healers are the only part of the trinity that needs to disappear and be distributed among the skills of tanks and dps.
It's called moving, jeez.
Why not give every class CC and party buffs while you're at it
Bully-kun you are a classic romantic and I am sure you are going to make a girl very happy one day.
>Why not give every class CC and party buffs while you're at it
Most classes do have those though just not a whole lot of them.
Dedicated healers being required for content is faulty game design. No one except healer players like the need for healers.
Welcome to GW2.
That removes the point of having a party, go back to your casual mmo game nerd.
What's a brief description of each class?
A game where tanks and dps could heal would mean there's no point in every partying aside from 'just to make things go faster'.
Yeah, hence the 'Fucking horrifying'
I feel like healers are a decent idea that suck in practice. Healers generally suck on their own, so people don't want to play them, but they're necessary for dungeons and the like.
The trick is how to get rid of them without causing problems.
Not if the amount each class can buff and heal is insignificant on its own but adds up when directed at just one player.
Reynesia remove goblin when?
Then you're creating a situation where you'd have a group of dps or tanks who are backlined spamming heal on the 'main' tank or someone who's geared specifically for healing only (oh look a dedicated healer). That sounds 100 time worse.
The problem with GW2 is not that every class has their own heals. The problem is that you don't even need those heals to begin with because of stacking and dodging into walls while everyone is specced for max dps.
What if the heal skill had to charge up, and if you got attacked while trying it, you get interrupted. So you'd party with other people so they could aggro the enemy while you heal. Then you switch out when they need to heal.
I think everyone being stuck into doing just their own specialized niche is already much worse. Besides, the more things a lesser number of people have to manage do and do the more skill you need.
Mmh, thank you!
Oh god I just want to push her into a corner and tell her she is useless and holding her team back and that no one likes her because she is fat. I would grab the top of her head with one hand and force her head down and tell her to look. Then I would lift her shirt with my other hand and shake her belly. "Just look at how disgusting you are. Did you ever really think someone like you could help others? Nobody likes you because they can take one look at your body and see how useless you would be. Being a maid helps, but when you eat all the food in the house even that becomes a useless skill. If I were you I would feel ashamed that I wasn't a real person. No one could ever care about someone who looks like you." When she starts to tear up and breath heavily, I would slide my hand down from the top of her head, grab her face and start squeezing. I would tell her how lucky she is that she knows a guy as nice as me who is able to overlook how worthless she is if she learns how to make me happy. Then while she is trying to hold back her tears and breathing heavily I would grab one of her tits and twist it, licking up the tears that ran down her cheek before whispering in her ear, "you know, if you acted the right way, I could even learn to love you. Isn't that nice? No one else will, but a good guy like me is even able to find the good in someone who looks like you." Then I would strip her clothes off and then fuck her throat raw.
he members of Crescent Moon Alliance spreads out to investigate under Maryele's instruction, and they found out this purchase line is displayed in almost all the zones.
In other words, be it city, field or dungeons, all the zones are open for sale right now, the exceptions are places that already have an owner
So it sounds like dungeons ARE for sale. Huh.
>Be a rich-ass guild
>Buy the dungeons
>Charge for people to go in
Ah, the bad old times.
I miss the good old days where you could sell warps to places and buffs to people.
Only to have people waiting to kill them right after.
The zones were actually for sale before the Catastrophe, its the buildings that were not for sale, except for private buildings.
>Set it to not being able to get hurt
>Stroll through the dungeon and get all the loot.
Wait. So you could actually buy all the territory controller by Landers?
If you have enough money, which I doubt any one player could ever amass.
I don't know. Given that this was still right after the apocalypse, they may not have been able to go to the palace or whatever.
She gives her speech next episode
That's what you think.
>First half: Round Table Conference confronts the nobles of Eastal
>Second half: Fight the goblins and Sahuagin!
So the speech is the episode after this one, and then we get to action after the speech episode?
As dumb as that would be, I guess I wouldn't mind that much. It means they'd be going slow enough that we might actually get a second season.
You know, considering it took Shiroe's team a full week to get up to just 50 level random scrubs, I am not at all surprised Krusty died twice if they were throwing themselves at harder encounters until they got gud.
how many episodes are left? is this 26 episodes?
I mean the shop.
>Evict boss monster from it so it free roams the world.
>have 96+ man group waiting and ready to one shot it
>Toggle it's visitation rights back on so that you can repeat.
It's the episode after this one. Next episode should be something like:
>Adventurers vs. Landers: More Politics
>Return to Akiba, prepare for speech
Although then again, the first part of chapter 2 (which the next episode will adapt) was the end of episode 16. Even then, the speech will probably be the episode after this coming one.
>Tell Landers you discovered a way to make them see the many underground wonders of the world
>Set to no harm
>Turn dungeon into amusement park
Genetic > shit > Mechanic
Is this RO we're talking about here?
Does anyone else get this urge to treat Serara like shit? She seems like a nice girl, but for some reason I just want to make her cry, just so I can hug her and make her feel better.
Am I a bad person?
Are you the same anon who wrote paragraphs about bullying pregnant Serara?
Dammit, they're really dragging this out.
Of course they are, besides the side-LNs and short stories, there's not much material to go on.
They could have shown team noob fighting the raid boss.
They could have shown them picking Rudy as the one who got the drop.
They could have had everyone killing goblins every once in a bit as they went why are ther eall these goblins around all of a sudden?
NOPE> gotta add filler content.
They're doing roughly a chapter per volume, probably because volume 5 is the best place to stop, so it works out with the number of episodes it's airing.
If there's a second season, do you think they'll concentrate on one side as per volumes 6 and 7 (Akatsuki side and Shiroe side), or would they alternate, so one episode is vol6 content, the next episode is vol7 content?
Novel never showed the actual fight either. The only thing they really skipped was Rudy getting a new gauntlet. Though they did add the bit where they fought 2 Burning Deads, I think.
> Though they did add the bit where they fought 2 Burning Deads, I think.
Yeah, Minori mentioned it.
I mean, they honestly should've skipped the goblin farmhouse this episode, and included Raynesia confronting the nobles in their negotiation with the Round Table Conference.
Then open Episode 17 with the farmhouse or the original goblin fighting scene with the junior's newfound coordination. And the second half could be Raynesia rallying the adventurers to her cause.
Kids show time slot on family friendly network, so every episode has to have a positive moral message
Krusty's berserker scenes aren't going to be nearly as good with the censoring.
He'll plow through them so fast, they all just die at once and drop everything at once. And if the OP isn't lying, Isaac's joining him.
All you'll be seeing is him smiling like a maniac and bubbles
Mostly budget and censoring indeed.
They should have done a LOT of other things, in our opinions, but the studio doesn't have enough cash and NHK is a national channel showing the anime to a lot of kids. It's tough to get all we want, all the tidbits about development and awesome fight scenes.
I don't mind the current direction at all though, aside a thing or two.
No I am not, but I just read through the thread, and it turns out I am not the only one who wants to bully Serara
>book 6, chapter 4
>Rodericks 3 part announcement
awww sheet, more happenings
>I don't mind the current direction at all though, aside a thing or two.
Of course, I'm not very far into the LNs yet, so their could be major execution errors I don't know about. Guess I'll find out when I get there.
You certainly could, but it would have no effect on the Landers themselves.
Lander's data entries don't seem to work with Adventurer mechanics. If you can't add a Lander to your friends list, then it's more than likely also impossible to add one to a zone blacklist/whitelist.
>If you can't add a Lander to your friends list, then it's more than likely also impossible to add one to a zone blacklist/whitelist.
This sounds reasonable.
You'd think they'd be affected by the no combat restrictions, though.
They are, after all, people OF THE LAND.
While that's true, you can just impose a guard to the place.
Buy a castle, kick everyone out, register Adventurers as you see fit, and put guards to make sure people pass a registration process before entering to see you.
You should be able to tax them though.
What a cute little loli-druido-maido.
I know, isn't she
I just want to pinch her, and poke her, and tug on her hair until she starts to get upset then give her MAXIMUM CUDDLES.
NO BULLY SERARA
Would Roderick report this shit to Council?
yes, book 6 is being translated
That little land girl who owns the doll isn't really dead right? She'll appear later right?
..I have some bad news
I'm sure she's okay. She's probably off playing hide and seek somewhere. Kids do silly things like that, don't they? ;_;
She was probably raped and killed. There were so many of them that they ran out of holes.
Nothing a dagger couldn't fix, though.
Speaking of: Have there been any mentions of that kind of thing in LH?
You mean bukkake, right?
Schindler's List reference.
No, I mean TL of what's written in the picture.
What would he be reporting?
Anime original content. unless she shows up later or they decide to point out that the landers already ran later on when they should have been noticing this during the current episode she was basically put in there to die.
It's okay, I'm sure she died a extremely slow, painful and humiliating death.
Some animation of single kills straight into bubble showers. Lots of still pictures with camera motion. Cuts into him not moving with multiple enemies exploding into bubble showers at the same time.
I can only secretly hope that they'll go beyond my expectations.
Nah, I'm sure the goblins just took her to their rape cave, she's not dead.......probably wishes she was though.
Closest I've seen so far in the novels is Serara 'almost' getting sexually assaulted.
The goblins probably don't even have a sex drive, just a murder drive.
Let's not forget their favourite, a black screen with shiny lines flashing across it to show sword swings before cutting back to everything turning to bubbles (seriously, they did that like 20 times so far).
NO ONE IS HURTING SERARA
SHE IS A HAPPY SMILING GOOD GIRLS
who secretly loves it when I tease and bully her. It makes her feel special.
>What happens if your cat jumped on your keyboard before the apocalypse?
It's not really anything important. Just the standard 'Thanks for the hard work', 'continued in volume 7', 'artists name'.
I'd totally bang the princess, if you know what I mean.
You'd execute her with explosives?
You horrible monster.
>Wanting to explode the princess
I would execute an explosion in her, if you know what I mean.
Yeah, Serara is a prefect little princess.
I want to yell to her that I made some pie, and wait behind the door frame so when she comes running into the kitchen I can trip her. Then when she is on the ground crying and holding her knees, I would come over and tell her everything is going to be okay, kiss them till they feel better and serve her an extra big slice of pie with ice cream.
>Wanting to make her swallow explosives and detonating them inside her.
God, what is wrong with you?
>feeding her explosives and then blowing her up
Anon that's just cruel
You lost me.
Gorefags truly are the worst.
I know right? Seriously, fuck Goro
I'd glop my six months of semen into Henrietta's tight virgin pussy, as she used her Seven Color overskill to make a rainbow of orgasm sounds.
>I'm going to show you a whole new SPECTRUM of pleasure! Like a Rainbow~!
And the burning hot tea goes out of my nose, all over my keyboard. Thanks /a/non.
There is one question that never gets brought up in these threads, but I believe is absolutely crucial to understanding life in the database.
Is Serara a virgin, and if so is it still okay to bully her?
Thank you so much now I'm imagining Goro with Log Horizon, but it's only matter of time.
For those not in the know
Her avatar is a virgin.
IRL she's not.
So it is okay to bully her until she cries so long as you treat her nice afterwards?
captcha: keep incsi
all the healing and support classes at the bottom
Why is the best Horizon fatloli, and how much Log would you give her?
I just wanted a summonable harem.
You are forgetting about the sweet ass giraffe gear.
You know, if Serara made a mistake during character creation and accidentally picked DORF instead of human, then her body structure would make a lot more sense.
Except she is human.
I'm surprised munk is the lowest picked class that isn't support
Honestly I would pick Monk with a Prostitute subclass and roleplay Bueno Excellente
Use Steel Body when the guy is inside you and rob him?
Monk is DPS and spammable abilities, but it really isn't all that interesting. And we've only seen a Monk villain.
Where all the Log Horizon doujins at?
>only class with access to Drunken Boxing subclass
>it's actually canon
Who wouldn't want to play a drunken tank.
Isn't Kanami a monk dressed as a swashbuckler right now?
I know you don't know him because he is /co/ related so I will tell you about Bueno Escellente.
He is a gigantic Mexican crime fighter, that battles the forces of evil through the powers of sodomy. Basically he uses unarmed attacks to grapple an enemy drag them off to somewhere secluded and rape them into changing their evil ways.
Fucking retarded amerifat bullshit, I know. But it makes me giggle thinking about how I would roleplay that on a PVP server.
I tried that last night. Seriously, don't drink and mob
No. She's still wearing chinese style clothing. She likes them.
Git Gud Scrub
Also, You should have rolled a dorf for the bonus CON bonus vs being intoxicated.
I know you're not from /tg/, otherwise you would have told the story of Los Tiburon, the Shark of the Land!
He's even a goddamn Monk.
kraken fights when
Isn't there an Artist CG on Ex like that? It's some time stop one with a sexy murderous bitch?
I am a fa/tg/uy from on old. And as fun as Los Tiburon is Sodomizing evildoers amuses me.
Why would you post this without any of the charts or the wiki?
>Houses are solid geography
>invisible walls on all the docks
>Boat doesn't move
I picked Summoner mostly because it fits my playstyle (I give some fire support while my summons carve shit up), sounds interesting, and you can customise it immensely (something I love doing).
Plus giraffe hats for everyone
So, recently got into the show, 2 questions:
1)CDjapan is sold out of the first press bonus, and given how bro the author is as well as how much I like the show, I wanted to buy it somewhere (but only if I can get the boxes) does the amazon.jp one actually have the first press bonus? The page says it does, but I don't know how the stock is tracked for preorders.
2)Are any of the other areas nearly as well off as the Akib. adventurers? The government and tech boosts seem pretty advanced in comparison to anywhere else I would guess.
Ceremonial Tribe Sorcerer
Subclass would be Sigilmaker.
African quest exclusive
Well, no. I'd want that scarf.
Look at this pleb who doesn't sever jump for the best gear.
2) Red text from Mamare's notes, but maybe half of the known player cities are doing just as well as Akiba.
Thats a really hopeful assessment of server communities for Mamare.
What notes and red text?
You should see the other cities. Either at war with other cities/servers, hosting massive pvp events, or outright martial law.
Mamare's googledocs. Mainly his ideas for the entire Elder Tale world both as a game and after the Catastrophe.
Red = Unconfirmed
Blue = Sidestory
Black = Canon
Of coarse. Everybody, their cats AND their grandmas wanna be front line tanks or mega-DPSers. And that's why I always roll healbot. They are always in high demand and low supply.
Anyone who can comment about the BD bonuses?
You're overestimating the average MMO playerbase. It's not that everyone wants to be front-line, they just want to see big numbers to stroke their e-peen. That's why tanks are almost as unpopular as healers/support.
I usually play a healer as my secondary for this reason. But I just can't seem to resist the pull of rolling up a mage as my main and blasting everything to hell in an inferno of arcane might.
So yeah, Sorcerer for me in Elder Tale.
>they just want to see big numbers to stroke their e-peen.
To be fair they're the only ones that matters for. Tanking and healing is a binary role: Can your tank keep aggro and can your healer keep up with the damage? If yes, that's fine, that's all they need to do. Generating more threat or healing for more doesn't matter if it's more than you need to do. DDers, on the other hand, can always improve, do more damage, and thus increase killspeed. So complaining about them actually caring about how well they're doing their role is a bit stupid, when they're the only ones that actually benefit from going the extra mile.
What is this?
Unless it's a new game damage rotation is pretty much set in stone.
Not any of these guys but the priority for raid members are as follows
A lot of scrubs are stuck guildless on the street getting their raid guild applications rejected or looking for pick up groups because they think "oh I have good gear oh I put out big numbers" but they can't think a shit and can't react a shit and can't improvise a shit when a raid boss fight goes to shit. Thats why they're all out on the street doing fucking nothing most of the time. Raid guilds would rather make their main raiders get on alternate characters than deal with a fucking idiot that will wipe the raid 10 times over before he gets something through his thick skull.
That is the true mark of a scrub. Some fucking dumbass that can't even follow crowd control assignments right or stay out of suspicious glowing shit on the ground.
I figured that went without saying. Of course the most important thing is whether or not they're retarded, but I'm just saying that, in terms of how well someone performs their role above the bear minimum required to succeed, it can make the biggest difference for damage dealers, giving birth to the "e-peen" competitions.
Healers always are in demand and an amazing healer can get a lower geared tank through a dungeon.
Yes because the people who push 3 buttons to get max damage is more important then the people timing their skills to hold the bosses aggro even with button mashers who don't care about their own aggro.
And here comes the butthurt healer. Reread my post. Nothing I said was about what was "more important," nor did I make any comparisons about the average skill level of tanks vs. healers vs. DDs.
Dude I always play a damage dealer or anything with a lance in MMO's.
But even I know that DDers don't improve they just get a stronger spell to button mash.
Going the extra mile, ha. laughable.
Can we all agree Log Horizon is an anime everyone can admit is okay or better?
Demikas pls go
Thats just e-drama, which will take any form. At the end of the day, who gets a raid spot and who doesn't is up to leadership policies. I remember when Ensidia was still a world first raid guild that the rogues in the guild absolutely hated the shit out of each other and constantly tried to one-up each other for raid spots. Unless a specific fight is a damage race, most circumstances with top guild leaderships will call for someone that can stay composed over someone that will blow all cooldowns on a dime.
Of course, circumstances will vary from guild to guild. And by that, I mean between serious top raid guilds and guilds that don't really matter.
I wasn't talking about some tailor-made-for-plebs 5 or 10 man dungeon smartass. Those are designed to be scrub friendly on most counts. Otherwise nobody would do dungeons. Any moron can spam one heal. Any meathead can taunt and autoattack.
I'm talking about things that matter. Things that drop loot of longlasting material worth. Things that require strategy and memorization and rotations and specialized equipment. Things that make or break top guilds.
That's not entirely true. Can your healer use his or her mana effectively? Can your tank take as little damage as possible through the use of his cooldown ability?
It's not entirely a "can you do x, if so then you're good, if not you're bad" question here
Most post-WoW Cata MMOs put all of that on autopilot, though; such that mana management is no longer a question of personal management as it is entirely a question of gear, and aggro management for tanks as well. Its disgusting whenever I read about it, really.
>I know that DDers don't improve they just get a stronger spell to button mash.
Not that anon, but you obviously have poor reading comprehension. It's okay to take it slow, just read >>100644566 again a few times until you understand. English isn't my first language either, but practice makes perfect.
The difference is, as long as you complete the content without problems, it doesn't matter if healer #2 was 20% more mana efficient than healer #1 or if tank #3 would have taken 25% less damage than tank #4, however if DD#2 does 30% more damage than DD#4 and doesn't take aggro, that actually makes a difference in how quickly content is completed. Once you have something on farm, it doesn't matter how efficient your tank/healers are, DDs, it does.
a 30% difference in damage is a big fucking leap in performance friend, even for a hypothetical situation
All the rape thus far has been by Adventurers. Monsters don't care, and Landers are probably too scared shitless of the heavily-armed murderhobos running around to try anything.
Fine. Let's make it 5 or 10%. If both of the DDs don't take aggro and one does 5 to 10% more damage than the other consistently, obviously you're going to be better off with the more effective one, and thus complete the content quicker, especially if you apply that across multiple damage dealers.
More like all the lawbreaking Landers are conveniently grouped up in outlaw bands outside the cities. I'm sure Landers stuck in a miserable city will eventually do desperate things to survive.
late to catching up with LH but now that ive had... whats the deal with the blonde dude who spams engrish? What was that scene with the adding friend not working? Is he actually a person of the land? or one of the guardian people (i forget the name)
I agree, but there is still a manner of degrees.
There's also the question of how many healers are required to complete the content. If you have four healers and they're all 80% overhealing, you could probably afford to replace two of them with DPS.
He's a spy from another guild, Ducklings, that rules another region of Yamato through guile and corruption of Lander nobles.
Such a difference can only be attributed to two things at the top raid level
Gear gap is natural during progression, but no main raider is going to lose a spot over it. If in the case of a performance gap, main raider will be told to find ways to optimize his performance. You speak of hypothetical situations where main raiders are thrown under a bus for raid optimization, but in reality consistency is #1. Most server leading leaderships will favor consistency over numbers.
Posting meters publicly only encourages people to find ways to get better in their free time. Its not supposed to mean "well I guess we better shitcan rogue B in favor of a rogue that can beat his meter score!"
Do Landers start at Level 1 of some Commoner class, and level up as they age?
Or do they actually have to grind at their classes and gain EXP and level up?
I'm just trying to understand how Rundelhaus gets to Level 20 without dying.
>Posting meters publicly only encourages people to find ways to get better in their free time.
And that's exactly why these "e-peen competitions" everyone complains about are actually beneficial, which was my original point in >>100644566
I wasn't suggesting people should replace their guild members, the whole "role#x vs. role#x" thing was just a point of reference.
>posting meters is so people get better off the raid clock!
That's complete bullshit and you know it.
All this discussion is pointless really. The secret to being an in demand highly skilled play is this:
They normally start level 1 and gain some exp while living(Get exp a different way from killing monsters)
If they want to become a summoner or something they have to train and study for it.
also he got to level 20 by getting gud
>All of this arguing about raid efficiency
Hey guys, remembers when MMOs where about having fun? What happened?
What those meters mean to the guild members and the public at large is anyones business. If raid leaders feel those numbers would serve to embarrass and divide more than encourage than empower, they wouldn't post numbers. Responsible raid leaders would post numbers for the week, post say the #1 world first guild's numbers in comparison, and talk about how people can match those numbers.
But raid strategies always take priority, not pushing numbers.
I have overflowing amounts of Gud and I don't have a dozen bitches begging me to join their guild!
sure thing anon, sure thing.
>Remember when there was more than three ways to have fun in an MMO?
fixed that for you
The problem is that, if you remove the grinding aspect of MMOs and toss everyone straight to endgame fast, they spend a lot of time being scrubs but the huge levels means their ego doesn't make it easy for them to learn to git gud.
You know, are there dragons in Elder Tales? Or intelligent monsters like dragons?
You're not in an anime. You have to file job applications like everyone else.
I believe a beast that resembled a dragon gets taken down by a pug in one of the earliest episodes
I play EvE Online for fun.
Maximum mining efficiency.
Never been to a high level dungeons or raids before have you? Even in pvp the bruisers or tanks will slap all those dps.
>file job applications
This is what boggles my mind most of all about modern MMOs. Do people really fill out applications to join guilds? Every single guild I've ever joined has just gone like
>join random group for a dungeon or something
>"Hey, you're pretty good! Wanna join our guild?"
Did you seriously just say that WoW removed the grinding aspect?
As long as they don't take aggro there is absolutely no problem with it. Sure, if there's some asshole constantly taking aggro to stroke his e-peen, fuck him, but getting the fastest kill without creating problems is a discernible skill.
Yes. I did, casual.
A lot of games had a longer grind than WoW, with a lot steeper challenge curve.
Google any world first raid guild and check for an application process. I guarantee you that you will find a form that must be filled out, and that form will require some personal IRL details.
I really want to talk to you guys about MMOs because Log Horizon is so fun, but I don't want to be laughed at because the only MMO I played and enjoyed was RO way back in the day.
I ground myself to hell and back making the ulitmate AgiMasa build, but I am going to get laughed at I know.
To everyone referring to people as "DPS," can you please stop being idiots? A person is not "a damage per second," they're a DD, damage dealer. I don't care if it says DPS when you queue up for your casual WoW shit, that's no excuse for you to make the same mistake.
That's not removing the grinding aspect, you fucking idiot.
Are you telling me that having to work to get better gear isn't grinding?
Instead of having to spend an enormous amount of time getting levels, you have to spend an enormous amount of time getting good gear.
Yes. People do.
There are at least Wyverns. Similar to how Shiroe and co. obtained Griffin mounts from a special event, Wyvern mounts were also distributed in a similar fashion.
Are you really getting this autistic over two terms for the same thing? Really?
I bet you hate people calling monsters mobs
>Instead of having to spend an enormous amount of time getting levels, you have to spend an enormous amount of time getting good gear.
Right, as if grinding for gear actually matters in a P2W game like WoW
It was stated that the "Magic Bag" item is constructed using a dragon wing skin ingredient so I would assume that there are dragons around somewhere.
Well, now I know I'm being trolled
You could have played me for at least another ten posts, anon. C'mon now. That was just too obvious.
If the wiki is anything to go by there's a subclass called Dragon Slayer.
Not that guy but WoW really does put a lot of emphasis on gears, hence why its a really great way to make a profit.
At least RO had equal opportunities for everyone to grab good gear and didn't require a very rare drop rate. Though, yeah 'cards' on the other hand...
Open your eyes, anon.
There's the occasional BOE that I could see being sold for actual money, but besides ~2 pieces every patch, you cannot buy gear
You too buddy
WoW is pay to play, not pay to win
>At least RO had equal opportunities for everyone to grab good gear and didn't require a very rare drop rate.
Tell that to the 0.001% drop rate guns my gunslinger require for his build.
Depends on the server.
PvP servers give boosts to xp and drop rates so that most people jump straight to the guild wars where it matters.
>12. Druid 80 votes (4%)
Good, less competition so best class ends up with all the best loot.
That doesn't make WoW P2W.
Pick any MMO at all. Could you pay someone to play it for you? Does that make every MMO P2W?
I remember that it literally took me nine months to get my Masa.
>rolling a gunslinger
Wait, I'm confused,
Why was Shiroe surprised by Nureha using an ability which allowed her to mimic another player, despite the fact it's her racial ability?
And do all the races have some racial ability?
You are wrong. I'd explain why you're wrong, but when I try to 4chan thinks my post is spam.
Perhaps because Foxtails are rare.
Must suck being a looter when you're stuck in an MMO
The site agrees with him. Checkmate. You're one, kiddo.
>it must be BOE gear
But he would of heard of it regardless surely? Isn't that one Tea party bitch who follows Soujiro around a foxtail? He would know of some surely.
Foxtails are only said to be have a deceptive image as part of their lore. The game translated that as fox ears able to show and hide their ears and tails at will.
Nureha put that to the next step, by masking her character screen, making her stats appear similar to a lander's or another adventurer's.
Didn't she change her appearance too?
And does anybody have a screenshot of the different race lores? I'm curious if all the races can utilized flavor text like that.
She can change everything really.
name, class, subclass, etc.
They're all fake data anyways, so even if she rewrote her class to sorc, she still wouldn't be able to cast spells.
The realization occurred at a point in the story where flavor text is starting to become increasingly relevant.
Re=gun and Rudie were the first instances where flavor text possessed weight, but the extent to which flavor text has changed still hadn't become clear.
There's also the mishap with Misa's Scythe, for example.
What was the scythe mishap? And I recall reading something about the flavor text being researched by the Rodrick Firm, why it would be important though hadn't quite gelled for me until now though.
Will Shiroe and co. ever come across rare artifact items that were never mentioned in Elder Tale? I think that would throw them for a shock.
Anyone else notice that there are a lot of players in ET rolling a human, elf, wolf fang and cat race?
But there are only a few people rolling a dorf, a race of ritual or a foxtail?
Nobody wants to roll Dorfs for some reason.
Even our D&D table is dominated by humans, and half-eves (but not full elves, else they risk getting raped)
Yes. It seems weird, wouldn't those races have higher population because they're exotic and such?
Phantasmal items are never mentioned and about 200~ are released with each patch and can only be picked up once, apparently.
So no one would know about those items, and Shiroe has gotten 3 of them. A staff, a robe, and a trinket.
Dwarfs are short and stocky and the exaggerated fantasy version of basement dwelling neckbeards, so a lot of players steer clear from them.
Race of Rituals get the crappiest HP growth amongst every race, offset by their fuckhuge Magic growth, but since a dead wizard can't cast spells, some survivability must be considered.
Foxtails forget a random skill point per level up. Thats a tedious thing to monitor for your character, regardless of its really good stat growth.
>God of Deaths scythe, which was said to cause calamities with a single swing. A cruel weapon which grants high critical rate with multiple hits. A rare item with high popularity due to not only its performance, but also due to it's ill-omened, divine design.
I can only assume it's related to calamities.
There's a subclass called Dragon Slayer, there are wyverns, and the Europe servers have turned into medieval knights and princesses and dragons, apparently.
So yes. Maybe not so much in the Japan server, but definitely elsewhere.
>the exaggerated fantasy version of basement dwelling neckbeards
/tg/ please. Or rather, I'm guessing half the posters in Log H threads come from /tg/
It's always the special snowflakes who roll up half-elves. I like Dwarves, but I enjoy playing half-orcs and orcs even more.
I browse both.
You mean in the series? Or some poll we have?
It makes some sense, Race of Ritual sounds heavily gimped to the point where the benefits don't really outweigh the costs, their absurdly low health makes them a liability in everything except for the safest raids where they don't need to worry about AoE damage. If they had a mana shield of some sort though I think tons of people would roll that class.
As for dorfs and foxtails, I don't really know why people wouldn't pick those classes, as I would personally pick them over the wolf fang and cat race at the very least.
And does anyone have an image of the flavor text of the races? I know it existed here once.
Can't recall the exact details and I'm not sure whether or not it's true but apparently Misa's scythe is responsible for causing her and Krusty to inexplicably disappear, and they haven't been heard from since.
There's also the "cursed sword" that's given to a city Guardian which causes him to go berserk, which is one of the main events of Vol 6, I believe.
>Maybe not so much in the Japan server
In Asia, dragons are deities that bring good fortune, luck and long life.
It would be bad form to make dragons a monster in an asian server.
Western dragons are attributed to burning crops, famines, the devil, etc.
So they make for good end boss baddies.
I pick half-elves because infravision, and not as restricted as real elves.
I'm guessing it was an awesome weapon, until it suddenly started making everything shit around the user.
I was kind of wondering about Asian dragons. I mean, imagine if hyper-intelligent dragons of ancient wisdome were ruling the seas around Yamato with Sahuagin servants, and their appearance during the Return of the Goblin King was actually to stop the Goblins?
Wait, they disappeared? When? I thought they were off raiding the goblin king with Isaac?
I hope Krusty/Misa and Krusty/Raynessia don't become things.
I always love that comic.
Who cares about Krusty?
The only OTP in LH I care about is ME/Serara
>I only care about shit
That one makes grammatical sense though, whereas the other doesn't.
I'm not shit just because I want to bully fatloli
>an abbreviation used to refer to a pivotal role
>IT HAS TO MAKE GRAMMATICAL SENSE
No no, this happens much later in the novels.
If the anon that posted the information is to be believed.
>But as of the newest novel, seven, Goblins were seen organizing training camps and learning war formations and shit. It's part of many clues that shit is about to hit the fan.
Krusty and Misa witnessed it, then something happened with the cursed deathscythe.
>Is Great Britain
What the fuck, Mamare?
Maybe if support classes didn't exist. Take ffxiv for example. If the tanks take less damage, and the healers conserve mp better, and then further conserve mp better because of the tanks taking less damage, a bard might not have to sing Mage's Ballad (which reduces his damage by 20%) and then the enemy can die faster.
There are numerous problems with other things you've said, but I'll simply leave you with that counterpoint to that specific argument.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
I almost like the development, I just hope that we don't end with an UNDERSTANDING ending between the evil demihumans and the Landers.
It looks like the Wolf-hairs, Half-Alvs, Race of Ritual, and Fox tails have potentially the most overpowered flavor text, depending on what their racial abilities are.
Could you offset the Ceremonial tribe HP penalty with a class with tons of HP like a monk?
I don't remember saying it has to, but I guess I shouldn't expect any better from someone who doesn't understand why something not making grammatical sense sounds silly
I'll make a new thread when we hit 540/page 8, whichever is soonest.
>Pick a caster race
>Make it a monk
They look like they're designed to be glass canons, the problem is though the penalty from the sounds of it is far too great to be worth the benefits of having a larger mana pool.
The strong aptitude for magic flavor text is nice though, means the Rodrick Firm guy will probably be great at developing new magics, while apparently Shiroe will get the benefits of a strong affinity towards 'ancient magics' and get traits the Alv had, whatever that means.
What is the source of their penalty? Just gaining less HP per level or having a lower HP cap per level?
Open it with Serara so I can find it.
Or you could just use the catalog an ctrl + F Log Horizon like everyone else.
The Race of Ritual/Ceremonial Tribe flavor text says:
>"They are frail due to the great HP penalty, so there are hardly any players who choose this race."
How great is great is up to debate, but while I originally liked this race from what I've heard in threads the HP penalty is supposed to be pretty extreme.
Or you can just Open it with Seara so I get to see her bright smiling face while I browse the catalog and think about all the mean things I would do to her.
So Shiroe is already around a century old according to the sage, right?
But that wiki says only the elves live a long time, are the adventurers immortal in terms of lifespans?
Caster Monk! Tons of mana and maybe reduced cool downs, so you can spam skills, probably a boost to your magic damage, so-so health from Monk, hopefully penalty doesn't scale with class.
What has been said about Minami? I know everyone was forced to join one guild but are the living conditions bad or something? Do they give people of the land rights like Akiba does?
Let's look at Roderick's stats.
I don't even know if he had a stat screen in the anime...
He's 280 years old at least.
We haven't found out how long-lived Adventurers are, or even if they can age.
Wait, so all this happens in Vol. 7?
I don't think he's been given one, I think Shiroe has around 12k health though?
If we took Shiroe's health to be fairly average for a well geared level 93 caster, we could probably assume that if Roderick is above 8k health that the health penalty is manageable, if painful.
My theory is that Adventurers age, but it is with the same time dilatation effect that is implied in the conversation with the sage.
The implications of the cathedral seems to imply they are unchanging.
So Serara will always be pudgy.
I thought we saw someone with around 8900 health at one point at level 90. I could be totally wrong though.
What if she uses a changing potion to redo her character into someone I couldn't bully?
So 12x slower?
Hm, you know, a lot of people commented that being in a body not like your natural one in the real world causes problems. Maybe that's why Serara doesn't use an appearance-change potion? And maybe that will be what keeps Adventurer's from aging?
Yes I couldn't remember the exact rate but that sounds right. Again that is pure speculation, and probably won't hold true. It's just a wild hair I pulled out of my ass.
Maybe, Shiroe did have problems with his body in the beginning though since he made his avatar taller than his real life one. So he kept tripping over his feet.
And that's why Akatsuki asked for the appearance potion too. Though gender also played a part, I think she mentioned being way too tall.
Man, I hope Akatsuki wins the Shiroe, Minori is nice and all, but she's a literal kid and she fills the same capacity that Shiroe does.
New Thread, living in the Matrix now yo
10/10 would pull hair and make cry
280? The earliest references to him that the Landers have was 98 of their years ago, which roughly syncs up to when he started playing.
~11000 at level 93.
wasn't the level cap raised?
how come we haven't encountered anyone lvl90+ yet?
Goblin King will probably be 100.
Goblin king is around 60
