Why did the pacing of this go to shit that badly? I really like it, but it's going on at a snails pace by now. The side plot with Hatsu was completely pointless. I feel like since he's actually able to draw good fighting scenes by now, there's way too much of them. That and fucking reaction faces.
Baam needs to cut his fucking hair
I actually prefer his long hair by now.
>You just needed someone to hate.
>You're the victim in all this, but you had your free will all along.
>Because you broke all sensibilities of human righteousness, you are now a monster.
>Get struck down by my righteous hyper-weapon.
such is the fate of all weekly webtoons
Baam just needed to cool his head a bit.
>Why did the pacing of this go to shit that badly?
Because the author's wrist is gone to shit. Nearly every comment at the end of the chapter mentions that he couldn't draw things the way he wanted to.
Why doesn't the author sue Naver for criminal-level professional endangerment, take the money from the suit, and live off of fan donations for the rest of his life while turning out one chapter every other month?
SIU is way too nice for that.
Too many side characters who the author feels the need to give their own time in the spotlight.
He should just kill off half of them or something. But what does he do instead? He adds even more.
Honestly, his whining is pissing me off.
Remember, /a/. This is important advice.
I like the large cast and long, convoluted games. Feels so HxH/YYH.
Yeah man, I agree with you. This whole Beta arc has been shit. It's a shame because I was looking forward to Test Floor/Crown Game/Qualifier shenanigans again.
We've got a good team and good characters and Baam is powerful enough so get to the fun shit already. Fug FUG.
Sure, it is nice. I would rather the plot take a speed higher than turtle.
Yeah, I agree. It's been over 200 chapters and he still hasn't fucked Yuri even once.
Beta's abilities looked lame and the thorn is stupid.
There was no good planning in this arc, it just got handwaved away with summoning symbols.
It's not the pacing it's the overall quality.
Also acceptable. And that red head too.
You're a funny guy.
>It's a shame because I was looking forward to Test Floor/Crown Game/Qualifier shenanigans again.
Beta's character is pretty underwhelming as a bad guy too, his motives are fucking elementary school level.
I even liked the idea behind it all. The ships, the thorn, the battles, the different teams for Baam, etc. pp. It's just that he's not moving on, way too many panels in between shit, unimportant fights dragging, unimportant people get focussed (not even characterised).
That's because Lahel is his waifu.
It looked like a really good setup but the games weren't anything, just fights and the betting was around for like one chapter and ended up not mattering.
It's not over yet though I guess. And they're going to have to fight a Ranker, right?
Not even if she were the last woman in the tower.
That chapter is what sold me on this completely.
stopped reading there
>It's just that he's not moving on
At this rate this series will probably have another 10,000,000 chapters. I mean fuck, even after he climbs to the "top", isn't he going to have to climb to the actual top? I can't even imagine how long that will take.
How would you call it? I believe it's an appropriate term for the speed of progress
Well, I guess they will kidnap someone important to him, maybe Rachel, and force him to fight or something. Anyway, I feel like the thorn has been way too much of a power up. It should've been wrapped and forgotten for at least 50 chapters until something happened. He's just straight up killing some weapon guy made by the workshop people, that has full control over his abilities. It's nice that Baams shinsoo abilities developed, but I want the days back, when having 3 bangs was something special and there were more interesting abilities, like the summoner tongue guy. Now we have a guy killing people without touching them, 3 guys that are living ignition weapons and a protagonist with a deus ex machina for winning fights.
>I feel like the thorn has been way too much of a power up
I'm OK with it. I'd like to see Zahard before I die from old age, and for that Baam needed to get seriously upgraded.
What happened to Baam was kinda whatever. But what happened to dan made me mad.
Speaking of, when is Wangnan going to be relevant?
When are we going to find out why Baam was in a cave?
How come Baam changed so much looks wise but no one else did.
Right, like we needed anymore reasons to think Rachel's a bitch.
This shit just isn't as dark since that hotel game back in the start of volume 2. Maybe also what happened to Dan in the middle of the volume but even that was lessened when you find out he isn't actually dead.
Before it used to be a typical 'shounen' story with some dark twists now it's just crap.
SUI probably feels compelled to make it this way since there's a huge popularity of his comic in that demographic. It's like that interview with the guy who made Attack on Titan which said that he'd change the ending because it's too dark
He looks the same. He just has long hair that covered his face most of the time.
>he'd change the ending because it's too dark
Right. He isn't dead. He just had the only thing that made him useful and that he took pride in crushed. So much better.
>but even that was lessened when you find out he isn't actually dead.
You know, there are "darker" things than just dying outright.
I'll concede on that point but I still think there's a large tonal shift from volume 1 to volume 2
Call me back when she dies.
No lie, I thought it was a girl. I'd fuck Baam right here. That's gay, but i'd fuck it.
Half the male cast are great traps. I'm surprised we don't talk about that more often.
You're not alone.
I just imagine that's a sailor uniform that he is wearing and his hair is in a ponytail. It's all good!
That whole section, with ceasar and the gangster water-user, and everything else, had the best art.
That director from floor 2 is prettier than most of the actual female characters.
Holy shit that lips.
Also whateverth for Leeso actually doing shit in this chapter.
I don't agree, at least not completely. It's not nearly as bloodthirsty as the first part, simply because it's not the floor of test anymore. When the manwha started, it was imidiate action until after the crown game, with people dying left and right, I don't think you can make that happen the whole time. I don't think that's too bad, he's still creating a darker atmosphere, like the constant Fug threat to Baams friends or Dan or that little girl getting killed or the workshop people killing a lot of people, and so on. It has a lot of bright colors in comparison to before, but that's somewhat the location, I'm sure that will change again.
Pity we only got a quarter of a panel for his amazing killer arts...
The only thing thats going near her vag is the thorn
If Rachel gets anything but a steaming piece of shit at the end of ToG, I will seriously flip my shit. Granted, this will be the end, so the joke is on me...
Dammit, SIU. Just make her suffer.
Guys, what if Rachel had a good reason for being a bitch?
I don't think all the speculah in the world could come up with an explanation for Rachel that would not make her a bitch.
You can give her leeway here and there for being weak and scared or for having a shitty childhood, etc etc, but the final total is still ABSOLUTE BITCH.
Unlikely. She enjoys herself too much.
She needs to get to the top of the tower to save her sister from a great evil that just awakened.
Dunno, use your imagination. I could think of quite a few reasons that would make someone desperate enough to fuck someone over.
Okay, I forgot about that.
She's a bitch and nothing can change that.
Nah, I think she may have started as that kind of pushed into being bad, but now she just seems to do this on her own.
Way too many characters at this point. He should kill off half of them so that they can get back to climbing the fucking tower.
I also fear this is going to be the case. It's going to be something about the place Baam was in before and the way they went into the tower. Some shit about making Baams life harder for him to get strong quicker for some foreseeable event or an entirely higher plane of shit. At least it doesn't seem like Baam is one of the regular folks from the outer towers. But there are a lot of egotistical characters in this, so here's hoping it will never happen.
Of course she did. Remember when Headon told her "you're now the hero of the story".
It's K, Rachel's working on it.
Is anyone surprised at all that Beta is getting a friendship bracelet?
well if prince can get it anyone can
