Otaku USA on Beyond the Boundary
The main problem with that show is that there was too much material to cram into a 1cours season. That and Kyoani changing too much shit and adding characters that didn't really belong.
>Through the introduction of main and supporting characters
Was this good? Should I pick it up even though I dropped it after 5 minutes?
That dude looks like Hei.
It was alright. Not amazing, certainly not a bad show though. Seeing as it's only 12 eps you might aswell watch it, and ofc the art and animation is very good.
It's a very typical Kyoani show. The art and plot isn't that bad, but there's so much "Look, isn't this cute? Isn't it cute how this girl is shy and wears glasses? Isn't it cute how this guy's mom is a slutty cosplayer? Isn't it cute how this girl can transform into a cat? Right?"
Watch everything but the last 2 minutes
Otaku USA seems like a pretty decent magazine. Should really subscribe to it sometime.
last 2 minutes fucking sucked, i was hella pissed.
Not even once.
This so much. They could have kept the same plot and structure but lengthened it to two cours easily. The halfway point would still be the hollow shadow, and the ending would still be the beyond the boundary youmu. The extra time could have been used to flesh out the secondary characters as well as properly build up the main threat. As it is, everyone other than Mirai and Akky got little to no development and the beyond the boundary youmu reveal was rushed to hell.
If they were adamant on one cours, they could've still done that, and left it on like a cliffhanger/unhappy note.
something with something bad happening to mirai would be nice.
Nobody could have put up with such an awful show where nothing happens for so long.
