Nobunaga the Fool thread, IT WAS INEVITABLE edition.
How much will Himiko suffer? Will Jeanne win the Nobu bowl? Will Ranmaru be useful again? Who is the most fabulous character, Caesar or Da Vinci?
Mitsu-sniper edition too.
>People caring about this awful show
And so does 50% of shows thread that /a/ have daily, your point is?
Is this really going to be 26 episodes long? It already feels like a 26 episode show condesned down into 1 cour. The pacing during scenes is awful.
I keep wondering when they're going to finally introduce and have his sister be relevant
It was inevitable.
I guess it's a 52 episode show condensed into 26 then
The show's twitter said it's going to be 24 yesterday.
>The pacing during scenes is awful.
I think it was very good. So far there was nothing really rushed and they are taking their time introducing the characters.
>So far there was nothing really rushed and they are taking their time introducing the characters.
What? Jeanne made the transistion to being Ranmaru between episodes. Her entire personality has changed without showing it happen.
I think she's already relevant. She has ninja spies and shares information with Mitsu to help her brother since his father doesn't give a damn about him.
Also, I don't think she and Nobu are lovers. 3 girls after his D with a historically cannon winner is too much.
I wonder what'll be her reaction whe she finds out that he got married.
>I wonder what'll be her reaction whe she finds out that he got married
This will be interesting, he was afraid just to have Jeanne around and here he accidentally agreed to marriage.
She has still doubts and is insecure, she is just taking her role seriously because of the visions and because she has to follow Nobunaga if she wants to know more of her fate.
I see nothing wrong with her transition, not to mention they are introducing Ranmaru's personality (he knew in advance what Nobunaga wanted, he argued with him etc) bit by bit.
But there is only 21+1 major arcanas in tarot...
You're talking out your ass retard
Can't argue with that.
Who designed this fucking mechas?
Why would I build a mecha where the pilot can be killed by a fucking arrow
Some can be reversed and thus more than one time
b-but nobunaga is teh dem0n 10rd :3
Well they don't have the technology for some sort of viewport, and the mech pilot has to have some sort of way to see out of the mech.
At least thats how my autistic brain is desperately trying to rationalize it
Oh god then I drop it better now
Sasuga Jeanne, not only she did nothing useful again, but put herself in danger and had to be rescued.
She is the VIP to the whole prophecy thing, too
So are her prophecies ever gonna actually change anything?
What the fuck
She's afraid of fire. Why don't you question this instead?
Certainly, next episode I will be useful! For sure!
The tension between Jeanne and Nobu is hilarious is like if jeanne was actually a guy and Nobu is trying to figure out whether he is turning gay or not
>and Nobu is trying to figure out whether he is turning gay or not
You have zero standard.
>>and Nobu is trying to figure out whether he is turning gay or not
He's Oda Nobunaga, of course he's gay.
Isn't what this is based off have Jeanne as a man? I swear I remember reading somewhere that said they changed Jeanne to a girl for the anime because of homophobia
They don't even seem to have radio or phone communications so them not having internal monitors like the west units have makes sense, their technology is lacking.
So the East Star is as powerful as the west, it was just that the Nobunaga Clan was the weakest in the region.
What? No, you're probably talking about Buddy Complex.
She saved those kids.
Instead we get the sexual tension of him wanting to cover that "golden hair" in his cum since episode 1
Isn't that just the power of Regelia?
I'm torn between watching each episode week by week or just waiting for the season to finish first.
Not him but I disagree with you. Of all the seasonal shows that we have threads for, this one is the only truly awful.
>Small mechs need little slits to see
>Big Nobu mechs have VR
>They don't even have electricity and the still live in wooden houses
This fucking show oh my God.
That awkward moment when they both averted their eyes after they perform that rescue scene from her dream. I could understand Jeanne but even Nobu did. I expected him to make a smug grin as she gets off his lap.
On a different note, I had to pause the show for hours before I could continue after that scene where Nobu shoots down mechs with a bow.
But the chariot was reversed in this episode, and it was still just called "The Chariot."
I'm guessing two pairs (guessing11-12 and most likely 23-24) are [Card] Part 1 and 2. 23 and 24 will be "The Fool" obviously.
She's a dirty gaijin, dude. It's worse than she had been a man.
He really looks like Kagura.
I originally said the way he draws his sword is fucking retarded but after this weeks mlg archer action I'm not sure anymore
I can't be the only one that actually really likes this show as of ep 3 right?
You aren't. This is my favorite show this season.
No they're other retards like you who like this tripe
Better question is why would you unless your tastes is just bad.
Episode 3 has permanently classified the show as "stupid silly shit but hey I'll watch it anyway"
Ironic shit posting is still shit posting
What's funny is how one bad show in a sea of great has made people think that Kawamori doesn't know what he's doing. Then again, I guess I couldn't give a shit if the worse character in either Aquarion show got the shit end of the stick.
>What's funny is how one bad show in a sea of great has made people think that Kawamori doesn't know what he's doing.
>sea of great
He's done several bad shows, what are you talking about?
All I'm saying is that everyone seems to like Escaflowne and at its worst (7) Macross is still decent.
Why do people who defend this tripe seem to believe Kawamori has done no wrong?
Protip: Kawamori was barely involved with Escaflowne and only handled it's conception, the reason why it turned out the way it did was because it went through several re-writes and story drafts until it got approved so Kawamori's original plan never came to fruition,
Frontier and 7 were both garbage. SDF and DYRL have not aged well either also Escaflowne was not Kawamori's doing,, it turned out the way it did because they completely changed his original idea for it.
I know you're mad about your green bitches, but Frontier was decent as well.
These right here. Escaflowne and Macross are Kawamori working with a group of people while tripe like Aquarion and Arjuna are all Kawamori.
I didn't even like Ranka and Frontier was still shit.
I really enjoy it aswell, wonder where it'll go from here.
One thing I liked was when Jeanne was being Ranmaru. Talking back to Nobunaga about his duties, trying to understand Nobunaga (due to the request of his brother), training with the bow, knowing what Nobunaga needs before he needs it and then saying she's not a woman but Ranmaru on the battlefield. All are aspects of Ranmaru and made her feel involved in the story since she felt like an outsider the first 2 episodes. Even though being an outsider was intentional (looking listless and being asked if she's homesick), I'm glad they didn't drag that on.
The thing I hate though is when Jeanne is being Jeanne. Bitch was like the Martian Manhunter when she saw that fire and got reduced to a crying wreck because of the visions. I do understand that saving the kids was all a ploy just so we can see her having visions about her past life. It was also so that she and Nobu can do that scene she saw in her dream back in ep1. Hopefully now that Nobu gave her that speech, we're over that phase.
I'm actually hopeful for the character because the preview had her saying "I am ... Ranmaru." Plus I prefer her look as Ranmaru rather than the titty monster. I couldn't take Jeanne seriously.
Woman please nobody here likes the show that much to talk about character depth
This show has character depth?
Thank you for the flattery but sadly, being a woman only happens in my dreams. I just like talking about the characters regardless of the show if I've watched it.
>not first girl
>fighting the girl of destiny named Ranmaru for the affection of Nobunaga Oda
>tricking Nobunaga into marriage when historical Nobunaga neglected his wife and loved a concubine + a fag boy more
That sort of over interpretation is actually what is fun to discuss anon.
By anime standard she's hardly a titty monster. It's just that DaVinci is a terrible fashion designer. Her boobs looked fine in her peasant dress.
I also hope we're over the DID phase. Nobu saved her life once , he now deserves her love and yada yada. It's enough, don't overdo it.
At least most of us knew in advance that Kawamori will fuck over every boys and girls that has any traces of green on them.
>the DID phase
Yeah, I do too.
That entire scenes was hilarious, Shingen and Nobunaga laughing in that style was too much.
Did you mean over analysis? I don't really think I misinterpreted any of the events or characters but I do admit I went tad overboard in analyzing.
I guess I just found her tits ridiculous for the setting when she's in that armor. They did look fine in her peasant girl dress. On another note, the 4 (Nobu, Jeanne, Mitsu, Himiko) are all involved somehow in the story now. All that's left is Saru. My guess is he'll be a joke character until Mitsu's betrayal and then he starts being serious.
I guess he means Dissociative Identity Disorder.
What if: she won't suffer a lot? What if: Kawamori punched the fuck out from the punk with green hair who bullied him?
If anything, Kawamori will double the fun and torture both the little princess and the monkey.
The face of man who is not amused by the edgy twins.
He is going to betray Arthur, I feel it.
I seriously didn't expect the twins to be that "edgy", wonder why Ceasar employ them.
And I hope so, a Space Pirate shouldn't be serving under anyone.
>wonder why Ceasar employ them
They look strong and I bet he saved them when they were close to die (maybe he lost his eye/injured his face doing it?).
When Caesar said "strange Regalia and beautiful women" I wonder who he'll get involved with. Jeanne and Himiko both have a regalia. It'd be hilarious if Caesar joined in to form another love triangle. Triangles everywhere.
Damsel In Distress
Caesar ending up NTRing everyone and building an harem with Himiko, Jeanne and Ichi. Besides he's the prettiest of them all and he's smart and classy as fuck. It would make sense.
I would love it.
I think he refers to the fact they use eastern weapons with their regalia.
I want to fuck her asshole, how do I get myself a Jeanne?
Fuck a little boy named Ranmaru, then kill him & yourself and hope that when you both reincarnate again, he will be reincarnated as a reincarnation of Joan of Arc.
She was cute in that dress. Curse DaVinci for giving her that retarded armor.
>Bitches, I'm fabulous!
I can't stand the plastic clothes.
Is it just me, or is there something wrong with his mouth?

Event with some VAs from The Fool.
Buddy Complex is so much more superior it's not funny.
>that ED song
How preorders are doing?
Does it matter if card is reversed?
It's a tarot thing. I don't know shit about tarot cards though.
> Some prick did not care the shuffle correctly
> "IT'S A SIGN!!!"
>Conflict, misdirection, litigation, dispute, defeat, quarreling and failure.
>A dictatorial approach, recklessness and extreme ambition can be negative qualities of The Chariot tarot card.
>Reversed in a reading, The Chariot may suggest a possible loss, so be security conscious. Pre-warned is prepared.
Wait a second.
They'll pull out the Egyptian tarot deck.
I was about to drop it but then I got Nao
I still want to frop it though
>Toyama Nao character already in love with MC vs Hikasa Yoko character who doesnt care for MC but will still win.
Oh where have I seen this before.
"Hey, Shingen, put a spin on this."
Where was the ananas?
I find it hilarious that they began to have actual sexual tension when she became Ranmaru.
Chariot - Takeda shingen
The fool - Nobunaga
Lover - Oichi
The star - Ranmaru / Jeane.
How about the rest?
Magician - Himiko?
I found it funny that Nobunaga's brother who was told she was a man still complimented Ranmaru that he "smelled of flowers."
I think Da Vinci is the Magician.
That would fit aswell, he's a genius afterall and high level technology can be class as magic.
Fuck it. My favorite new show this season.
Love them facial expression especially.
Black and White hair is the High Priestess
Mitsu is the Hanged Man
Nobunaga was into boys, it makes sense.
I don't think Nobu was 'gay' in the sense we use it now. Homosexual relation like that were the norm back then.
I find it funny that no one realize she was a girl with that womanly voice. She's not even trying.
I watched three episodes convincing myself that I was going to drop the show after them because it would most likely get pretty silly with that premise and everything. Now I'm enjoying it exactly because it's really fucking silly. Or maybe it's because of the princess?
Back then people were bisexual, if it's hot, fuck it.
Why can't we just go back to that? The world would be much more peaceful.
You can thank judaism/Islam/christianity for that.
Bring back Hellenic Pantheon! Bring back the old gods!
Appollon a best.
Didn't someone say Da Vinci fits more the Wheel of Fortune because he has the cards?
That was yesterday thread, wasn't it? The guy also made an entire list of who fit which cards.
That was me. I think the dragons should be the wheel of fortune while Da Vinci should be the Reversed/Inverted Pope (now that inverted cards are options).
Yep, it was. But in the list Da Vinci is not the Wheel of Fortune, I think those were different guys.
>The Fool: Nobunaga
>The Magician: Himiko
>The High Priestess: Machiavelli
>The Empress: Hannibal
>The Emperor: Caesar
>The Hierophant (Reverse): Da Vinci
>The Lovers: Ichihime
>The Chariot (Reverse): Takeda
>The Hermit: Kenshin
>Wheel of Fortune: The Dragons
>The Strength: Nobukatsu
>The Hanged Man: Mitsuhide
>Death: Those twins.
>The Devil: Brutus
>The Tower: Magellan
>The Star: Jeanne/Ranmaru
>The Moon: Cesare
>The Sun: Hideyoshi
>The World (Reversed?): Arthur
The lovers tarot card :
>Lovers depicts two people standing side by side and coming together in harmony, and asks to look at the harmony within the self. It also tells of a combining of understanding and beauty to have a satisfactory relationship.
>The man looks to the woman, but she looks to Archangel Raphael to obtain Divine guidance and wisdom. The man symbolizes the ‘conscious intellect’, whilst the woman represents the ‘subconscious.
>The two Lovers have their hands open and up-turned, signifying that the right decision will be made if there is careful thought and consultation.
This is about the chemistry between Nobu and Ichi.
>The angel depicted is the ‘Angel of Mercury’ - the Archangel Raphael - the Angel of Air. Raphael bestows blessings upon humanity. Raphael represents Divine Wisdom and guidance from the super-conscious.
Not really sure about this, but he might be Mitsuhide, he helps/guides his friend and collaborates with his sister. Of course this will change when he turns from good/angel to a demon by whatever means or situation.
>The tree behind the man depicted in The Lovers card displays twelve flames, indicating the Zodiac
>Behind the woman depicted in The Lovers card is the ‘Tree of Knowledge’ representing good and evil.
Ichi may cause some problems in the future?
>The green snake on the tree tells of wisdom and redemption. The clouds indicate spiritual love between two people.
It's also noted that this card applies not only to love relationships and marriages, it is applicable to any relationship where people may be drawn together.
Reminder that tarot reading is a huge BS.
Nobu is a pretty unique MC. At least by nowaday standard.
>he isn't a normal high school boy
>he looks manly instead of looking like a little girl with short hair
He's a bit of a Mary-Sue (can defeat 10+ robots with a bow), but a loveable one.
Like I say >>100656199
There a few characters I just added randomly because I didn't know where to place them like The twins.
Ah, my memory is messing with me, thank you.
The Twins are indeed the death, seeing their edginess they seem to fit.
Most of the Round Table picks are ass pulled until they get characterization.
>Nobu is a pretty unique MC.
You're pretty fucking stupid aren't you?
I haven't even tried this show yet and know virtually nothing about it. I'm just dropping in to comment that OP's image looks like Yagami Light keikaku doori-ing if he were explosively homosexual
I'm already there. Traps and girls.
I fucking love the Hellenic gods. I should put that on the next census as my religion.
Well there's people that put Jedi on theirs, so that should be cool.
That loli lost so fucking hard last episode. Nobu is not the type of character that enjoys being tricked. If she hadn't being such a sneaky little shit she might have had a chance but now she wont even show up in his radar as a posible love interest.
>inb4 he dumps his brother on her to complete the family bond part of the contract
Shoutas are the only acceptable kind of love interest for a loli.
Since we're aware of historical Nobunaga who didn't really got along with his wife, I think being married to him won't work out too. I think Nobu will appreciate the trick but will want to get her back.
Your suggestion of marrying her off with his brother would work as a counter trick. Combined with the fact he didn't really complete his sentence so he can go off on that technicality.
Episode 3: Nothing Happens edition.
Jeanne's tits jiggled again.
But a lot of things happened.
Himiko is probably going to be the entertaining and sympathetic kind of crazy. But still shit tier waifu. At least to Nobu. I don't like to ship fangirls with the object of their obssession, in general.
Barely anything happened apart from Jeanne's sideboob jiggle, admit it.
Nobu almost got tricked, Jeanne is a boy, westerners are scum, Takeda can't into dominance.
Have we watched the same episode?
Ah okay, you're just retarded.
I would say all the thing you said count as something happening, Nobunaga also got his first Regelia and first mecha power up.
>Barely anything happened
Nobu did crush an army of giant Robot by himself.
Magic loli came out of nowhere and proposed.
That's not waht I call nothing.
>westerners are scum
Only the crooked teeth king. As expected from teabags.
Chill, I was kidding. Are you guys seriously hyped with this show? Because it is a pretentious snorefest.
A lot of things happened, just nothing really spectacular.
>Oh hurr durr, I get a regalia from the loli that wants muh D.
>Fear muh giant flaming samurai
>calling over-the-top BS pretentious.
>not watching this solely for Jeanne's Jeannes
Funny that you should mention Escaflowne.
The parallels between Nobunaga the Fool and Vision of Escaflowne are starting to become hard to ignore for me.
We have a girl with apparent precognition ability transported to a world parallel to her own. There, she meets the hero, who has just come to possess a mecha whose abilities are just beginning to manifest. Then, there's the magical pendants, warring kingdoms, heroes and villains with historical backgrounds, and some good old fashioned tarot card reading thrown in for good measure. Not to mention DaVinci and Dryden could be twins.
Da Vinci is also a Fudou's clone.
Da VinChi of course
I thought it was just a tease to the inevitable RanmaruxNobunaga.
Whatever, I'm fine with that too. Do you read tarot anon?
>Reminder that tarot reading is a huge BS.
That is like saying: I wasted my time.
Are you kidding? He looks like every shounen MC ever made.
But its the best show this season. Even the ugly mech Oda rides fits him.
2nd episode ratings on Niconico.
Those are just assumptions. They are close brothers who support each other. He gets along with her, she understands him (brings him his bow before anyone else) and helps him in secret.
I still don't think they're lovers, just close siblings, but if they are then their bond is too strong and for Jeanne to win she'll have to die.
There are too many meanings to those cards that you can choose whichever you like and go along with it. Reading about it is fun for speculation, but in overall it's a pack of nonsense.
Jeanne isn't blowing my mind with her battle feats or charisma, but she has good chemistry with Nobunaga and she doesn't irritate me.
Himiko seems funnier, but probably not that good of a match for the MC.
It's like this show doesn't even want to try to have a coherent plot. Anyway I'm only following this for Jean for now.
>she has good chemistry with Nobunaga
Was he embarrassed about getting a boner?
Ranmaru > Jeanne
It was heavily implied that Alto fucked Sheryl in MF. Will Nobu get his dick in Jeanne?
>nips actually think nobunaga would be able to make jeanne forget about god and become a slut
the good: jeanne's oppai
the bad: everything else
veredict: bad. and not "so bad it's good". just bad
For me Jeanne is more about hating Teabags than being a godfag.
I guess, as long as Nobu kicks King Arthur's butt, there is nothing wrong about her spreading her legs for him.
Nobu's mecha is from the western star though, which IRL was more technological advanced anyway. What's your point?
Takeda's mech is similar to Nobunaga's.
There's a possibility he might have gotten it from the west too. If not, they're probably hard to make and require more resources, so they only give them to the more important people.
I'm enjoying this show. But not because it's good, I just like to watch this confrontation between eastern and western culture. I find it amusing how people get easily impressed by different perspectives and appearances.
Other than that, I'm also enjoying Nobunaga and Jean chemistry, I guess.
>We have a girl with apparent precognition ability transported to a world parallel to her own. Nobu = Van
Monkey = Merle
Jeanne even has a mystical pendant.
Jeanne is a girl with visions from another world with a pendant of mysterious origin
Nobu's a sword-wielding kind of wild prince from a small country with samurai themes to their soldiers/weaponry
There is a sidekick with animal qualities
A Western inventor/philosopher features as a character
Nobunaga is FAR more Escaflowne than it is Aquarion EVOL.
Jeanne is Ranmaru too, and he loved getting the D.
