What the fuck /a/? I just finished the manga and... damn. I picked it up because the anime became one of my favorites. With Rin being the cutest thing ever and Daikichi dealing with the changes in his life Usagi Drop is a beautiful anime. But what a way to end the manga, seriously.
I actually liked the idea of the timeskip and how the manga focused more on Rin by the second half. I also enjoyed seeing Daikichi still acting as sort of a father to Kouki. But I would've preferred nothing happening at the end or Rin dying or something instead of this "Oh, we're actually not related at all so we can have feelings for each other. Let's get married and have a child!" bullshit. And Daikichi actually going for it is what really pisses me off.
I'm really glad the anime ends before the second half of the story. If you already watched anime, stay away from the manga. Please /a/, I saying this because I love you.
TL;DR: Usagi Drop is a wonderful anime. NEVER read the manga. 10/10 I'm so fucking mad right now.
Why didn't you listen
You could have prevented this.
>If you already watched anime, stay away from the manga. Please /a/, I saying this because I love you.
No shit retard, this has been said until the end of earth.
>being so dense that you can't appreciate why the manga ended the way it did
The reason why people also dropped otaku no musume.
I whish I was never spoilered about the manga.
Or theres a reason why the anime stopped there ahah.
That manga ending is some twisted shit.
Why does Japan always have to taint pure familial love with incestuous feelings?
Kyousogiga is the only anime I've watched where this doesn't happen (although I can't speak too soon since I haven't finished it yet).
In every other anime where MC has a family there's always an incest element, or some family member getting jealous of the MC's love interest. Why?
What was up with that almost kiss the dad gave to kid koto?
I WARNED YOU ABOUT THE MANGA BRO!!!
I TOLD YOU DOG!
I TOLD YOU MAN!
I -TOLD- YOU ABOUT MANGA!
Though in all seriousness I always thought the ending fucking REEKED of editorial interference, like the editor/publisher was like, "Yeah, its selling pretty well, but you know what would make it BETTER?!? Wait for it... wait for it... INCEST! YEAH! DO IT FAGGOT!"
When I was told about this I went ahead and looked straight for the end, I haven't felt anything since fuck my curiosity
>But what a way to end the manga, seriously.
The problem is that Rin and Daikichi are perfect for each other. They essentially complete each other and compliment each others' personalities.
Their own problem was that they were born too far apart and forced into some weird ass family situation because of it.
>"Yeah, its selling pretty well, but you know what would make it BETTER?!? Wait for it... wait for it... INCEST! YEAH! DO IT FAGGOT!"
Bullshit. If you didn't see it coming near the very second you saw the timeskip, you don't know how jousei works.
For all the shit everyone gives the manga ending, it didn't stray from the writers actual style. There were hints throughout the early portion of the manga that were foreshadowing the ending ever so slightly. The ending worked perfectly and like >>100616147 said, they were made for each other.
tl;dr Writer meant to write that ending, it was foreshadowed, Usagi Drop was an amazing anime/manga
What's with all these Usagi Drop manga threads recently? I'm getting tired of defending the manga. I like it and I'm one of the only ones. Fuck you.
>I always thought the ending fucking REEKED of editorial interference
Welcome to manga for women, they aren't afraid of their weird fetishes.
I don't have problems with how the ending was, I didn't like it but I thought it made sense and was explained, my only complain is the reason the single mother rejected Daikichi.
The anime had made me consider one day becoming a parent.
I like it. Fuck everyone who doesn't.
The only thing I didn't like was how the author handled the MILF. Daikichi confesses and she even admits to loving him but she can't be with him because of.....what? Then she turns around and marries some other guy.
It was so fucking dumb and I actually felt bad for the MILFs character having to be pushed off the stage like that. It was handled really poorly.
I'm actually surprised that the ending is as hated as it is on /a/. I thought you guys were into that shit.
Anime Gentleman and Scholar
Nope, daughterus are sacred.
>Do I fit in yet?
I guess he decided his daughter-fucking incest fetish was more important
Yeah, because it would be totally fine if Koiwai fucked Yotsuba in the end of the manga, right?
I'll even tell you why it isn't: When you write a story about a father and a daughter, and there's no romantic element, just cute things and fathers rising girls, by introducing the romantic development later, you ruin everything that was cute about it. It becomes something sexual. You can't read the previous chapters with the same eyes, knowing that they end up fucking each other.
Yeah, no. I like loli as much as the next guy, and incest makes my dick diamonds (specially the imouto kind, but that's irrelevant), and I still think Usagi Drop's ending was terrible.
They look like fish.
Literally this. How can people be so dense that they didn't see that ending coming? It was on my mind since, well, chapter 7 or some shit. And I'm not even enlightened by my own intelligence.
And then manga made you consider fucking it when they grow up.
>Yeah, because it would be totally fine if Koiwai fucked Yotsuba in the end of the manga, right?
It's not really comparable, since as other anons have said, you can smell Usagi Drop's ending coming from a mile away.
>about to reread usagi drop because I liked the ending
>find out /a/ doesn't like it
>huh? huh? wha-huh?
Women dig pedophilia even more than male otakus do
After the timeskip? Maybe. Before the timeskip? Nope. You guys keep talking about how the name changing issue was foreshadowing, but when I saw it, I thought it was pointing out how Rin didn't want her past, her live with the grandfather, to be erased. So you guys can say whatever you want, but if that's foreshadowing, it's a very poor one.
Must have missed the part where it said " They will eventually fuck."
>Oh we're not related
>This negates all the years of parental bond
>Let's fuck, dad
This is what nips actually believe.
Wait this is jousei?
I thought it was seinen.
