They... they didn't make it up, guys.
Why is it so boring?
Why is there barely connection between episodes?
Why is Dandy so unlikeable?
Why is there so much wasted potential?
> "being oh so poor" setting
Because it's made for people from /co/ and /v/.
I tink you're being a little harsh on it but I do think there's definitely something missing.
My H key is broken.
Space Dandy is sugar for the common masses.
How did you write harsh, think, there's and something then?
The show is missing a human straight-man for audience to relate to.
Imagine this show with a character like Kyon in it. Slightly more bearable, isn't it?
It only works half the time. I need to press it like 4 times.
WE DON'T FORGIVE YOU.
Stop. That is not how you enjoy a comedy.
QT does a reasonable job in my opinion.
goddammit i'm sorry just
i'm sorry okay
Fuck no, 'straight men' add pretty much nothing to outlandish comedies like this, Kyon is a good character because Haruhi is more drama than comedy, and he actually has a personality of his own. Shinpachi is a whining pair of glasses that gets in the way.
And thats why shinpachi is so great
>someone shitting on Shinpachi
Thank you, he manages to ruin so many funny moments and it's so unbearable sometimes.
Hmm. I think you're right but how about we turn it up a notch. Noir Kyon.
> I was sitting at the bar, trying to quench my thirst with flat water and sarcasm, when he walked in.
> With an outrageous hairdo reminiscent of a delinquent wannabe spirit shaman from an old anime, and a strut like he had weasels biting at his balls.
> I could tell he'll be trouble, but with some luck, he'd only be his own trouble.
> Unfortunately, today my luck was worse than /a/'s taste.
> And my Mushishi thread just got flamed to oblivion for the second time.
I agree that it's disappointing so far but I'm still willing to give it at least a few more episodes to get going. So far I'm happy just enjoying it for the super-slick animation even if the writing is regrettably underwhelming.
You didn't know about Hooters?
Haven't seen ep3 yet. Did they explain how they survived ep1? Or is it really that the entire anime after ep1 is just Dandy's brain asphyxiating in the void of space and hallucinating?
Think there's going to be any easter eggs or obvious references to Bebop? Only thing I noticed so far is that the two both use Woolong.
Speaking of Space Dandy
What video does the Commie dual audio use? The nip one or the localized one?
I didn't know the term "breastaurant" was a thing. Let alone enough of a thing to have its own Wikipedia page.
my guess is nip since the op is japanese when commie release
Because you're expecting something other than what it is. What you're doing is going and watching lain and expecting aerial dogfights and getting upset when you get drama and mindfuck.
We don't know. Some people have speculated that every episode is happening in its own alternate universe.
Also, the cat dude dies, and no one in the show really cares so if he comes back next week, we can confirm that speculation.
I'm pretty sure I saw him again in the preview.
I like the "dandy is dying and these are just his near-death hallucinations" theory better.
No, this is the lame excuse you babbis use to justify this lame crap.
I wasn't even expecting Samurai Champloo and got disappointed anyway.
Like another fellow put it: it's a sci-fi comedy that's neither scientific nor funny.
Yes, it would help A LOT.
I know QT is supposed to fill this role, but she's awfully miss-used. Which is the key word for the series, apparently.
Well at least he finally caught one and made some cash, It feels too entry level for me like nothing is happening and its just aload of shit mixed together.
Feels more aimed towards the young kids.
tbh i think space dandy does nothing wrong...
-has a fitting and dedicated op and ed (unlike 99% of all the other anime where op/ed are expendable and you wouldn't even notice because they all sound the same...imo)
-great animation (apart from the stills in the intro)
-i get the feeling that this show knows its genre and it doesn't take itself too seriously (its title is "space dandy" goddammit!)
-meow prolly died last episode but comes back in the next, which could mean wibbly wobbly timey wimey plottwists or...lazy writing (which, i have to admit, would suck)
-no false "japanized" depiction of other cultures (might be just me, but i hate their shallowness regarding this topic i.e. those marines in nobunagun last ep.)
Stop typing like a fucking faggot.
Fuck off retard.
Fuck off back to /v/.
>-no false "japanized" depiction of other cultures
Except that there is a space station where aliens cook Japanese ramen. Totally nothing Japanese about it.
Confirmed for faggot
>enough of a thing to have its own Wikipedia page.
that's setting the bar pretty low
to you guys complaining about everyone dying at the end of episode 1, you remember the Bebop crew dying in "Toys in the Attic", right? Or the Samurai Champloo gang getting killed by a comet obliterating them in the zombie wasabi episode? this is the same lack of continuity.
the fact that other events in the first episode seem to have still happened does sort of stand out, though.
Next episode is zombies.
Also, Meow dies.
So it's a lolrandum anime pandering to /v/.
Well, I guess they need the money and that's an untapped niche. Honestly, it feels a bit weird, but not more weird than fujoshi manga and anime. Seeing an anime that panders to a different kind of otaku, I mean. I was getting used to the unending cute-girls-doing-cute-things series, but it seems that well is running dry.
>anime having fun is pandering to /v/
> Space Dandy
I didn't really feel fun while watching it. It really felt more like some artificial fun-like synthetic feel made of cliches and buzzwords. Isn't this exactly how /v/ likes it?
/a/ never ceases to amaze in it's inability to understand the most basic concepts.
What anime is funny? Seriously, what anime is unbelievably, side splittingly, funny?
Watanabe was probably just angsty about not getting to do an ep where the whole cast dies in 'kids on the slope'.
Give me an example of anything that is, doesn't need to be anime.
My biggest problem with this is the episodic nature, I'm not very fond of anime without a storyline. It's really not what I expected but it's decent enough.
The Simpsons cracks me up little buddy
Old Simpsons, that is
>Why is there barely connection between episodes?
Why do you need perfect continuity to enjoy something?
Is it going to be 2cour? Why is that evil group after Dandy, and why is he entirely unaware of it. I'm waiting for the show to take some sort of horribly serious turn.
Humor is subjective
I want examples of anime.
No, Watanabe and the producer textually said that they want to make the most stupid anime of all time.
>i had no fun
>/v/ hates fun right?
I felt fun while watching it. It really felt like innocent and simple adventorous fun that can be enjoyed when you don't take things too seriously.
now go ahead and hate my opinion, kiddo
The strange thing is, Excel Saga was enjoyable, while this is somehow not. Is it because Watanabe is old now?
One of the only anime I've watched that's intentionally made me laugh out loud multiple times.
Detroit Metal City
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
Arakawa under the bridge x bridge
It's true though that anime can't get into comedy.
Because it is WAY too meta. Also, the first episode's bullshit unfunny ending killed any possible tension that we could have gotten later on, because you know whatever it happens they can always brush it off as a joke. So the jokes are not funny, the action is irrelevant, and Dandy's job is bullshit, so the whole thing is just boring as hell.
>Why is there so much wasted potential?
Disappointment of the year, undoubtedly.
Excel Saga had much better jokes, in my opinion. Also, better characters and a greater variety of scenarios.
Space Dandy gives me the impression of something which tries too hard to be funny, but it actually isn't. I watched all three episodes and all I got was a couple of chuckles, and this is bad, since this looks like the kind of anime which should be watched almost exclusively for the comedy.
It seems like most anime this days try way too hard.
Sometimes you need to try hard to distinguish yourself. But this anime with this unique and vivid graphic style didn't need to try this hard.
I'm just not feeling this show. I haven't watched it and probably never will.
Nah, probably just your opinion.
>all this people expecting this to work as a normal anime instead of as an american cartoon.
cartoons now sure seem care about realism and continuity
>I haven't watched it
>I'm just not feeling this how
>I haven't watched it
Behold, the source of all shitposting.
Fuck yeah, new season.
Also Space Dandy is great.
I somehow like it.
The first half of the first episode made me want to drop this but the second half had great action, like better action than any anime can offer this season so I stayed.
I have a blast watching this show. After sampling the new line-up I think this is the only one I'll stick with. Enjoy it for what it is, or don't, I've stopped caring about /a/'s opinions long ago.
>Mater of bait.jpg
I bet you are the kind of guy that thinks whoopee cushions are the pinnacle of humor
This Archer is actually a funny show.
Sheryl is best girl
Better action than nothing. If there's nothing at risk, the action becomes inane.
Then why do we still watch James Bond movies?
Also in most action movies it is pretty clear that the hero will come out victorious.
You know you're talking about two different Watanabes, right? You've got shinichi and shinichiro.
Well now I feel dumb.
>No character development
>Protag is a douche
Literally the worst anime this season.
Or any anime in general. Anime can't get into subtlety.
Why people don't like of Space Dandy? Care to name the points of the anime that is so unlikeable?
How this potential could have been used right them? How the show could have been better than it is?
I was talking about the two shows actually >>100595839, not about the director.
>Anime can't get into subtlety.
Watch more anime, nerd
It fucked with me for years because NabeShin looks like spike, mugen, dandy, et al.
/a/ hasn't had an opinion worth shit since 2007
Utena isn't subtle.
My only issue with Commie is that they leave in the anti-epilepsy filters.
Because it's Trademarked, which means no one can use the word without permission.
episode 3 was better than epi 2 but still... kinda bad
Pure carbohydrates; most species should be able to metabolize it.
>HURF DURF DIS IS SAVIN ANIMAY, I HAVEN'T ANYTHING DIS GUD SINZ DBZ OR COWSHIT BEEBOP
>lol so randum
>protag is an ass
Are cartoons and anime declining?
What are you talking about? I don't watch that.
In most movies you assume the good guy will triumph at the end, but even then, they don't need to get a flawless victory. They can get harm, their friends or family may be at risk or they can even die themselves. In Space Dandy you see them getting vaporized and it's treated as a joke and never mentioned. Even Wile E. Coyote got visibly hurt... So with such an extreme cartoony setting there's nothing at risk, and the action becomes completely pointless.
Come on, guys.
>are cartoons and anime declining
I don't watch cartoons but anime for sure is getting worse and worse.
No, but /a/ posts sure are.
>adult swim blurs the emerging sea of boobs
>Animax just cuts it out entirely
Dub a shit, as expected.
>implying pleb media was ever good.
There are exceptions to the cashcow that panders to children and perverts, but they aren't even near 10% of the whole.
The thing to remember is the last thing NabeShin directed was Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. If you hear "new anime by watanabe", it's probably not him.
It boils down to it not having your standard anime narrative and having to much hype.
I agree that anime is mostly complete shit but there is some god tier stuff out there like ashita no joe.
Why is not having continuity or an overarching plot such a big deal? And it clearly has, it'll probably be a lot like Bebop in that regard at least, where bits and pieces of the story are suggested here and there, and then you have a small arc to advance it.
It's amazing how the director went from two solid 8/10 anime to a shitty, unfunny 1/10 anime.
It has no plot yes, but that's why it needs to be at least funny. Space Dandy clearly is not.
It's just like a big nothing...
>cartoon openings are barely a thing and it's just a 5 second tune or a title card
>generic lul so randum shit
Oddly enough certain comedy cartoons actually care about continuity now.
Why is no one predicting that the kung fu girl from the ramen shop will join the crew soon?
It seems obvious as fuck to me.
Because it tries to be serious.
>And it clearly has
Explain to me the transition from ep1 to 2 then.
I would give SD a 2/10 but yeah, I kinda agree. It's disappointing
>Because it tries to be serious.
Is this all just /a/ trying to prevent a fanbase to form around it? I can't believe people can genuinely dislike this show so much while gobbling down other seasonal shit as usual.
I think that in time, space dandy could reach classic status by the sheer fact that there's little else like it and there's a studio and director attached that means something. It's been working for miyazaki ever since he started making the same movie over and over again.
I'm already a fan. Dandy#1!!!
See, this is where it fails. It tries to be different from those clichés and it is - but it's not good. It's not funny, it's not captivating, it's not endearing or cute.
If there's a main plot, then yes you fucking nees contunuity and SD seems to have one with those people wanting their hands on him. But when everyone keeps fucking dying for so many randum reason, it's like watching a kid's cartoon. It feels like they're just shitting on our faces and expecting us to forget it the next day.
When you watch the seasonal shit you know what to expect. When you watch Space Dandy you get extremely disappointed. That's the difference.
Cool opinion you got there.
Cool rebuttal. As expected of a Snore Dandy fag.
I quite like it. I don't know why people make such a fuss.
I'm not sure if your experience with media and entertainment is extremely limited or if you are trolling.
What you said amounted to "this sucks". There's nothing to rebut.
Did the parallel universes thing completely flew over your heads? What makes you think they won't tie them up eventually? I mean, Dandy is explicitly shown to have vague memories of a timeline where he died, if that's not a hint that there's some form of continuity going on I don't know what else you dense motherfuckers need.
What a dry line.
Kill la Kill sucks way more than Space Dandy but seems to have a bigger fanbase and far more shitposting.
Sounded better in japanese.
I wouldn't call it awful. It's just not good. It reminds me of Johnny Bravo (with worse humour) and MiB TAS (with worse characters and plot). So yeah, I'd rather watch these shows than Space Dandy.
I am continously amazed how absolutely ignorant /a/ can be of even the most simple concepts.
I'm sure it did, weeaboo.
If everyone hates it as much as they say, then why do they post so much about it?
I think they protest too much...
man... Space Dandyfags are delusional
It's your own fault for being a humongous faggot that still hasn't learned to keep his expectations in check. Only stupid little shits buy into the hype. And they always end up angry and disappointed.
>Johnny Bravo (with worse humour) and MiB TAS (with worse characters and plot)
So... "shit", right?
>implying I'm a hardcore fan
Fuck off, I can enjoy things without sucking dick.
That alien speaking jive really got me good
Thanks, I won't be able to remove this image from my head for a while.
That was actually pretty well-written. Kudos. And thanks for trying to redeem the thread.
Best show this season so far hands down.
If you have another opinion, it is objectively wrong because I said so.
Protip: At least half of these people haven't even watched it, or watched it with the intent to dislike it and and shitpost about it. They were ready to do this the moment this was announced, because Watanabe and Toonami.
Ramen's Chinese, yo.
>>/co/ is that way
That much is pretty obvious
Space Dandy is nothing special but it's watchable. I sure as hell hope you didn't just imply KlK has any redeeming features. That show is offensively bad and it has the worst fanbase I've ever seen.
It's worth watching for the animation alone, but it's certainly squandering a lot of its episodic potential.
The noodle guy story in episode 2 felt like something that could have touched home if it had more screen time. But they keep giving that time over to repeat gags. Why have that evil guy show up every episode if he's just going to scatter off without actually doing anything?
Ramen (ラーメン rāmen?, IPA: [ɽäꜜmeɴ]) is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or (occasionally) fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork (チャーシュー chāshū?), dried seaweed (海苔 nori?), kamaboko, green onions. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido.
Well, the important thing is that everyone is angry.
I love you all.
>mfw there's one called Twin Peaks
I'll bet their coffee is TERRIBLE. And their cherry pie probably isn't anything to write home about.
>butthurt crybabys mad because it's not about little girls forming a high school club
>flaming space dandy although haruhi is noting above well tier
if it was not watanabe would you give it a chance? YES you would
It's not about the hype. If you see any trailer you expect some really fun space opera with a suave main character, but when you watch it you only get a ton of stupid meta jokes, nothing making sense and a MC that's just a loser. It's terrible and boring.
>tfw no damn fine cup of coffee
What's the Twin Peaks of anime?
KLK is a masterpiece compared to this piece of shit
>nothing making sense
Well, unlike you I expected that.
>MC that's just a loser. It's terrible and boring.
That just like, your opinon, man.png
To me, it was yet another pathetic attempt to be funny.
The sub had the sense not to do that shit.
>Most of these niggers that didn't watch episode 3
This is what I needed after that mellow second episode, not that I disliked episode 2 but god dammit I needed that transformation sequence.
Utena, or Monster
Sorry you have an abysmal sense of humor anon cuz that shit was hilarious.
I got no such thing from the trailers. People just went in expecting another Bebop and got upset when it was a light-hearted comedy.
I thought it was great, really cracked me up.
Maybe it did, or are you an expert on jap accents?
No, I am mad because I wanted Space Cobra with jazz-funk and I've got fucking South Park or something.
>tfw you will never be in the breastaraunt-bu with shota space dandy and a cat
>and it has the worst fanbase I've ever seen
WAIT I'VE SEEN IT
Stop this shit with fanbases.
>If you see any trailer you expect some really fun space opera with a suave main character
Not really. From the PVs, I expected more whacky adventures in space than anything. I agree a lot of the jokes fall flat, but it's still entertaining enough to watch.
In your defense, I can see watching Space Dandy expecting it to be another Excel Saga and feeling let down. There's no chance that a team of comedic geniuses and mentally ill people the like of the people who made that will ever be assembled again.
>WHERE WE GOING GENERAL?
>WHO CARES? WE DON'T HAVE A SPECIAL REASON
>BUT SIR, THEN WHY SHOULD WE FLYING?
>IT'S JUST FOR THE DUCTION OF LOW-BUDGET MOVIE
There are no bad fanbases, just bad posters.
And the more you mention fanbases, the more you become one of aforementioned bad posters.
well haruhi has a shit fanbase which thinks of them as the alpha of anime
but yeah never judge an anime by the fanbase
Latest episode was great. Can't believe Dandy finally caught a break with the tittymonster.
People forget that, as good as it was, Cowboy Bebop was one hell of a pastiche. The great writing and loveable, memorable characters (and the music/high production values) were what elevated it to classic status; story-wise there weren't a whole lot of new ideas there. It was mostly just Watanabe and co. alternately paying homage to and poking fun at their favorite Western films. Sounds familiar, eh?
>Motorcycle handles for controls
>dandy got paid
You haters must be blind or retarded
hmmm he sort of did as disney still does but miyazaki still has the better storry
did a good job in its context
I gotta admit, the smooth drawings are probably the best thing about this show.
Nah man, Monster's way too conventional. Utena you could make a case for, especially on the "cool bizarre imagery" score. But my vote goes to this fucking show, the all-time champion of the "what the fuck did I just watch" anime Olympics.
and as for op
you did not know that such things exist?
Your Penis has leaded you in a wrong way
While I sort of agree, posting /co/ reaction images doesn't help your point and just makes you look like a shitposter reverse trolling.
Joke's on you, I saved it from /a/.
Also Ed, Edd n Eddy is great
Here, I post 404 girl to show I'm really part of the secret club.
>Zombie episode next
Dawn of the Dead homage ahoy
>tfw no Badalamenti on the jukebox
now if instead of dressed like lumberjack hookers the waitresses were all Audrey cosplayers instead...
I would enjoy a comedy, if it was actually funny.
Not sure if it can beat PSGs zombie episode, but I'm hyped for this.
Also it looks more like Dead Space from the preview.
I liked it. All of it. Every episode that has aired until today.
And I will continue to watch it probably even enjoy it. What are you gonna do about it, nerd?
>There's no continuity
Nigger, there's some Virtues Last Reward shit happening after they pulled that thread.
Look at all the quantom theory junk in the ED
The ED should lead you to believe that there are alternate dimensions. The events in episode 1 and 2 were not the same people.
>I saved it from /a/
>Ed, Edd n Eddy is great
>I'm really part of the secret club
Irrelevant. It doesn't take a genius to realize why posting it is a bad idea in Space Dandy threads. This has nothing to do with who you are or which board do you hail from, but with what impression and consequences your post causes.
sage for meta crap
>There are still people who havn't figured out this is the tale of Dandy so it doesn't matter if they die. This is just some old fart telling his kids the stories
That has nothing to do with the dub, that's the FCC. Even if it were subbed and airing they would have it censored, you retard.
Your opinion is irrelevant and if I cared about some kind of board political correctness I could just go to reddit.
I think the comedic efforts are put primarily into the visuals. The charisma with which things move is very entertaining.
Ep 1, he was an ass man. Then ep 2, he's suddenly a boobs man? Yeah, something's going on.
I'm not. This place is seriously a vacuum.
You're too dense, needlessly confrontational like some kind of teenager and missing the point completely. I'll not waste our time any further.
Fingers crossed hard for Evil Dead riffs. If they don't it's a waste of a perfectly hammy character archetype.
You are now hearing "DEAD BY DAWN DEAD BY DAWN" in QT's autotune voice.
Did you miss the "no redeeming features" part? There's nothing good about it.
>There are no bad fanbases, just bad posters.
There is when it's the majority.
>sub having the common sense not to put jive in.
Because Japs have such a hard time not putting english, african american slang in their shows.
I like both. I like the directors and teams working on them. Feel free to tell me to go back to /co/.
I haven't found it fun since the first few episodes. The characters are boring and static and just yell loud. The humor has literally not made me laugh once despite how hard it tries. The "Oh look how silly we are it's like a cartoon!" attitude means they can remove tension or any sense of risk from any scene at any given time. The plot literally went nowhere, and just when you think something happens, they show you 5 minutes later that Senketsu isn't really dead, and the next episode is just cuts of "Don't lose your way!" followed by Ryuuko one shotting everyone with a "Oh shit you're suddenly super strong!" explanation to move the plot along, instead of an actual journey arc where she grows as a person.
It's bad and it just hides behind the fact that "It's not meant to be taken seriously" too much. I don't care if it's a joke or a parody or an homage, it's boring and stupid.
I enjoy Space Dandy a bit. I like Bones and Watanabe. I like Triggers staff as long as Imaishi isn't directing, because I think he's a hack.
I'm not redirecting you because you're not shitposting like an idiot and I'm not shitposting either, I'm just expressing my opinion.
I really want to say "the last two episodes of Evangelion", but they don't work without the other 24, which really aren't anything like Twin Peaks.
That one episode of Panty and Stocking?
I don't think the japanese in general make things like Twin Peaks.
Read more manga. Anime is a terrible example of the quality of japanese media and twin peaks is already an exception to television.
The question was about anime. As far as manga goes, Qualia the Purple new chapter never ;_;?
What I want to know is how OP has lived long enough to post on 4chan without ever hearing of Hooters.
I dunno, some manga can get really wired and out there.
It's fun for me and for many other anons.
Guess what? People like differen things.
Some people like Kancolle or Idol@master which and call it fun, I don't.
Deal with it.
Disredard word "which"
We don't even have hooters over here.
What's it like?
I can't really see the two as separate other than that the best manga are completely unadaptable and equivalent in anime is rarer than one that's funny.
Sage for shit thread.
Not that good. Food is meh and the waitresses are the trashiest white trash you will ever find
>Getting mad over opinions
>Can't actually form a thought outside of "It's fun"
>Deal with it
>3D reaction image
>Feels the need to bring up Kancolle and IdolM@ster
The girls are ugly and the wings aren't good. You're not missing anything, don't worry.
Bad hotwings, single moms giving you compliments for tips, sports you don't care about on tv. It's like any other chain rest
>Getting mad over opinions
Where is that mad?
>Can't actually form a thought outside of "It's fun"
Because it is, and it's subjective, can't be helped.
>Deal with it
Deal with it
>3D reaction image
What a faggot you are to have problem with the Dude?
>Feels the need to bring up Kancolle and IdolM@ster
To prove that some things I consider shitty are popular and liked.
So what kind of show is made for /a/? Judging by the other threads on this board its little girls and waifus. I'd rather have a dumb action comedy than another creep-catering fetish-fest. I'm sorry Space Dandy doesn't arouse you.
>Because it is WAY too meta
THIS from the board that sucks EVA cock?
>Shows cater to 4chan.
>Valuing a show on its fan base
Do you know just how retarded you sounds?
A show having a "shit fan base" is never a valid criticism.
I think a lot of people don't actually know what meta is, myself included due to the constant mixed definitions. Is is referencing stuff or is it a show thats self aware?
We don't have Hooters here either, but how have you never HEARD of it?
Is the fanbase really this sensitive in the anal region? I said it's bad and the fanbase is shit. Not it's bad because the fanbase is shit. If you bothered to read the thread you would have seen my reasons for saying it's bad right here
Try learning reading comprehension.
Somebody recommended this show further up the thread. I haven't even seen the show and I already want to put my foot through those little cunts heads.
I got new for you.
You are faggot too.
And Anon was faggot.
But I have. I'm not OP, dude.
because she's subservient to Dandy, not an equal
>I haven't even seen the show and I already want to put my foot through those little cunts heads.
You're a bad person and you should feel bad.
I think I understand the problem. Dandy is set in an insane universe with an insane man, with only QT to act as a grounded person, but that's not enough.
Now Futurama had an insane universe, but Fry was more of a straight man in the beginning before the modern seasons; he was the link between the modern world and the crazy future, so I guess that's why the show clicked.
It can be either/or, as well as the show itself making a commentary (whether the characters are aware of it or not). The "I'm so fucked up" scene in EVA was pure meta
The constant whoring out of it for snarky reaction images has forever sullied it for me.
No. Take responsibility.
No I will not. And I will never lower myself to watching 'reaction images' the anime.
>And I will never lower myself to watching 'reaction images' the anime.
I'm trying to hate you to death.
Let me know if it works.
This board is falling. What is the point of trying to have discussion with a bunch of mentally impaired? Goodbye /a/.
Thank you for saving us the time of arguing with one.
Thank you for proving my point.
Wouldn't that be 1/4 of the time, then?
Goodbye. Never return.
Or, you know, you could try watching it and keep your autism to yourself instead of posting it on /a/.
Just watched three clips on youtube to be reasonable.
>Yell a lot
>overact about every day mundane things
>Yell a lot about about everyday mundane things
> lol, funny faces
Yeah, not for me pal. And if your implying you don't have so called 'autistic' opinions to post here, then I think it's only fair that i inform you that you're in the minority here and should probably leave.
Good choice. 4chan is a hole.
Go outside and enjoy things anon. LIVE!
Basically this>>100602635 but with a polite sincerity.
Cromartie High, Excel Saga, Abenobashi.
>planet blows up on the first episode
>comes back no problem in episode two
>no reference to dying
well gee, ok then.
How so? A show having funny screen-capable moments doesn't mean it's not good.
Would Space Dandy be considered Entry-level anime?
> The "I'm so fucked up" scene from Eva was pure meta
It really wasn't though, it fit perfectly into Shinji's character arc and is mirrored with the final scene of the film. If you want a good example of meta in Eva, try the live-action sequence with footage of a theater full of fans or the bit with shots of emails sent to Anno.
>All these autists trying to formulate theories to explain the lack of inter-episode continuity
I don't care that there's no continuity. I find it kind of funny and kind of interesting. They're clearly not going for a big overarching narrative and it's just episodic comedy with a bit of action. It is what it is and I'll enjoy it as best I can as long as it stays entertaining.
First time on /a/

Someone didn't watch the stuff post-credits.
You've answered your question yourself. Would "normalfag" watch "little girls doing mundane activity"?
But the sub did pull the same thing .
