Discuss the pain of waiting for the next episode, how cute [CharName] is, when Chinese volume 8 comes out, etc.
>>

I'm sure they're official, I'm just saying they're not a complete list.

I did notice Mind Bolt has a minor MP drain effect though, so I think we can infer MP drain is a thing that can be done.

Fellow guildmates!

If Mamare came back to 4chan tomorrow for another Q&A, what would you ask him?

>Will Henrietta grow with love too, or is she too plain?
>Is there still a level cap of 100, or can you increase your level past that?
>Do you need the Sailor subclass to sail a ship or be a member of its crew, or can anyone build a raft and sail over the ocean?
>Can you negotiate with intelligent demihumans like The Goblin King?
>Does the NA server have a tribal/Native American aesthetic, or a Colonial one?
>Is he an open pervert or a closet pervert?
>What color pantsu does he wear?
>Are there other currencies in the world, or does everyone only use gold coins?
>Will Scribes see more recognition/will it be shown that Scribes can write contracts for quests to be carried out and successfully award experience points?
>Will Rudy become even more amazing?
>Are there more plans for side-stories?
>So when blacksmiths make swords is there a difference between swords they make using real world techniques vs pressing a button? Like the difference between the real cooking and pressing the button disgusting cooking.
>How are Alvs different from Elves?
>So they can pick what they want to forget while they're at the moon?
>What did Akatsuki forget?
>Why can't adventurers force the People of the land to do manual labor for them? Is it just a moral reason?
>Why doesn't Mamare make VNs of his LNs? I'd love to play a Log Horizon VN.
>If they can make a repeating crossbow the size of a SAW could I get a working bommerang sword?
>What is his favorite TRPG (Tabletop RPG)?
>Is his imouto a closet pervert or an open pervert?
>Will Touya ever find love like the rest of the members in Log Horizon?
>Why does Shiroe need so many secret police?
>Is Inctis a Touhoufag?
>Will you have sidestories that take place after the main story?
>What is Henrietta's Overskill supposed to do?
>>
>>100589192
That'd be kinda scary though, considering MP is your "Psyche".
Couldn't it be trained up to a point where someone essentially just drains your will to live?

Nevermind me though, I'm probably going on like this due to a lack of rest.

This question does not need to be asked.

The answer is obvious

That could be interesting. It would explain how Shiroe and the rest feel when he gathers and redistributes their MP. But I don't think it permanently affects their psyche, just temporarily saps their energy.

Mmh, yes. Still, consider the following: Ri Gan mentioned there are many, many types of spells, some even unknown, others artificially created.

Is Soujirou actually a dense harem MC, or is he a brilliant one? It's shown that he's aware he's a harem character in Volume 2 of the novel, even though he seems somewhat dense in the anime.
>>
>>100589389
I'd say he's brilliant, he just doesn't want anything at the moment.

Or wants Shiroe's dick.
>>
>>100589389
He knows exactly what he's doing.
>>
>>100589315
I feel like there should be deeper story though.

Who first called Krusty a berserker and why? What kind of quest was he on that he revealed his battlelust?

Why is Londark called The Gray Steel? I mean, they could've just called him Londark the Gray or so.
>>
>>100589389
He knows exactly what role he's in, he's just a pure boy who gets easily embarrassed, like Naotsugu.
>>
>>100589389
Honestly, his characterization is all over the place. I can't still decide if he's brilliant or if Mamare just keeps forgetting what kind of personality he gave him last time.
>>
>>100589373
Maybe Inctis will create one, becoming the Chronicler of the West.

And she uses that to control Nureha and all the others who might rebel against her.
>>
>>100589433
While I still believe that the nickname origin is simple, Mamare seems to enjoy writing backgrounds, so I wonder...
Krusty's battlelust would be fucking amazing to see/know of.

Most people don't take on their subclass as the nickname though. I'm sure there's a story behind why he earned it, and I want to know it.

I mean, Shiroe is "Black-Heart Glasses," not "Enchanter Shiroe."
>>
>>100589225
I was wondering could a magic user with the scribe subclass and a high enough levelwrite new magic spells if he used his bare hands

Well technically Shiroe would be "Scribe Shiroe" if people got nicknamed after their subclass however, it is hardly a stretch for Crusty to be nicknamed berserker because he is the most well known player with that subclass. That said it would definitely be more fun if he had some backstory of going completely nuts on the battlefield.

>reading Summoner skills
>see Summon Sword Princess

>A Combat Summon spell that summons forth the Sword Princess, a sword maiden clad in armor, for a single moment to strike all enemies within her attack range. This spell has a high Damage-to-MP ratio, a wide attack range, and is very easy to use. Sword Princess has a very beautiful face and elegant sword style even as she delivers judgement to her foes. Early Elder Tale lacked moe factors and implemented skills to fix that, Sword Princess being one of them. There has been overwhelming support from the userbase. Sword Princess debuted as the poster girl on a banner ad. Sword Princess has different patterns (her sword, dress, armor, etc) depending on the user's race. As proficiency level increases, the Sword Maiden's gear, hairstyle, clothing become more gorgeous. At the most basic proficiency level, this spell summons forth a Sword Maiden with an extremely simple sword dressed in plain clothes but there are many fans who prefer her this way. These interesting people choose to never increase their proficiency level.
>This skill has been very well-received, along with "Combat Summon: Samurai Girl", "Combat Summon: Hammer Maiden", "Combat Summon: Whip Queen", "Combat Summon: Slinger Kunoichi", and other spells of the same family. Many skill families of were soon implemented one after another. While this has greatly increased the population of Summoners, there are hardcore players who dislike it, saying "Enough with the formula!". Also, the popular "Sword Maiden Summon Race-Changing Earring" (only outer appearance changes, abilities do not) debuted in a game magazine, where an item code was randomly included in its appendix. The Werewolf Earring was especially rare. Because of that, there are reports of those earrings going for 180,000 yen at Auction Houses.
>After the Apocalypse, Summoners in love with Sword Princess have had serious discussions on the ultimate question: "How do you get her to wear clothes you like?"

I like that suddenly lots of people have stopped playing as Necromancers:

>The Skeleton is the representative summon of the Necromancer build, which focuses on Undead monsters. After the Apocalypse, Adventurers using this build quickly decreased due to the horrifying visual effects of the summoning.

Sounds like they bitched out. Either way, I'd totally pick the Summoner class if I was playing ET.

>>
>>100591112

>>
>>100591112
It is tempting to pick a Necromancer build Summoner
>Graveyard Walk Requirement: Undead. Commands all Undead monsters to group together and focus one enemy as a unified army. Accuracy rate is decreased but damage is increased. Necromancer-build Summoners, who specialize in using Skeletons and Phantoms, using "Graveyard Walk" can rival the Sorcerer class in clearing enemies. Marching forward with groups of Undead as if it were the Hundred Ghosts Night Parade can feel quite exhilarating.
>>
>>100591170
>Marching forward with groups of Undead as if it were the Hundred Ghosts Night Parade can feel quite exhilarating.
More games need to be like this. Lately every MMO with a summoner class has been either very few or just a single summon at once. There need to be more games like Guild Wars or Diablo where you can have dozens at once.

>Mystic Summon:Clew Rat Mystic Summon. Calls forth a sacred beast, an omen of fortune, and receive its divine protection. It has no combat abilities at all, but for a certain duration after summoning, the Summoner gains a random buff("Nullify all critical hits", "All attacks become critical hits", "Nullify all status effects"). As proficiency level increases, the certainty increases slightly, but is still very low.
Has the appearance of a house rat with red eyes and a coat of pure white fur. On top of its loved abilities, it is also very popular as a mascot. It was originally fanart. When they launched the expansion pack, F.O.E. officially contracted and implemented it. Not just Summoners, but all Elder Tale fans in Japan love it.

>>100591273
It hasn't even been released yet.

And speaking as a fa/tg/uy...

We're still struggling with Nechronica (Japanese TRPG where you play zombie lolis in a dead world trying to survive being mind-broken by vile necromancers and their undead servants) and working on translating more than just the character creation and sample replay. Japanese TRPGs in general are basically unknown on /tg/, except for Nechronica, Meido, and Meiyuu Kingdom. While some Anons have in-depth knowledge, like the group working on translating Quick Start! (Japanese manga focusing on cute girls playing TRPGs and making TRPG jokes), there really is a dearth of knowledge about JTRPGs.

I haven't slept in over 24h and I can see beyond the Horizon.

Does anyone believe Krusty has the ability to become a good strategist in the second part of the LNs (Volumes 6+)?
Anime kind of felt like it wanted to make him someone equal in an intellectual level to Shiroe, but that might just be me.
>>
>>100591492
Elf Hitler killed 20 billion goblins who were doing nothing wrong
>>
>>100591613
Krusty tends to be lazy. But he does manipulate Shiroe to an extent, such as dumping piles of work on him to keep him occupied until the Round Table needs him to plan a way out of something.
>>
>>100591485
Nah, the summons is like skills. I don't heard any Phantasmal skill types, so does the summon. Anyway, you need item like staff to summon, isn't it?
>>
>>100591613
Nah.

Krusty has subordinates for actually handling battle planning. He just likes to FIGHT and WIN. He's manipulative like Shiro, and can read people better than him, but he doesn't really care for grand strategy, preferring tactical planning in raids and such, where he can best apply his berserker desires.

It seems more like Overskills are things that work outside the rules, like Kirito dual-wielding in ALO, rather than just being better skills.

A Summoning Overskill might be something like a rotating door of summons, or being able to give commands to two summons and have them coordinate their abilities to cause beneficial effects.

Yup, you should go read them if you like it so much, it's very close to the anime but with a lot more of the stuff you like about the show.

. It's funny that I get so excited watching it, when it's really quite slow paced and has barely any action and sometimes 'nothing' happens, but still just so interesting and enjoyable, I just love the world and the characters he created and the plots that incorporate them in such interesting ways.

She was obsessed with Kanami, the leader of DTP. When Kanami had to leave DTP to move to Rome, which lead to DTP breaking apart, Inctis' love turned to hate and she thus made it her goal in life to drag the DTP's legacy through the mud and destroy their name
>>
So, do you think that, at the end of the story, they'll be able to open portals to the ET world at will, or will they return permanently to the real world?
>>
>>100592580
I would believe so? It's not out of context for quests to happen, and they give experience points for completion as far as I understand, something the scribes can't just produce out of nowhere. It's due to the magical properties of the ink and parchment...? Maybe.
So yeah, probably possible would be my guess, given a very high level set of items and skill.

You know I just watched the first episode of the LH anime for the second time and realized that the plot of every episode we've had so far is referenced in that episode in some way or another with the singular exception of the People of the Land Nobles (though some of the references are very minor) and every recurring character they've met so far appears in it at some point (with the sole exception of the characters directly related to the People of the Land Nobles). So now I'm wondering which other characters and plot points might have been foreshadowed in episode 1...

Ah, that clears it out. And honestly, I doubt it that raid bosses who went self-aware and their AI skyrocketed after the Catastrophe are the big bad. Sure they are going to make a lot of mess and make things bad and complicated for Shiroe&co. but so far Mamare gave us more pointers towards Inctis, with her let's shit up DTP reputation tactic, to be the villain, at least for current arc. Then there's the whole what caused another World Fraction thing and brought them there thing and whenever there's a culprit behind the big picture.

My personal theory is that the final boss of Log Horizon is going to be a GM. It's the perfect final enemy for Shiroe, because unlike a raid boss, you have to employ mind-boggling levels of rulefuckery just to put a scratch on a GM.

Not to mention, in their own way, GM's are a lot more intimidating than dragons or monsters. Imagine a guy in his underwear just casually strolling through the city, one-shotting everyone in range and teleporting anyone who runs into space.

Finally, there is some indication that the "Gods" of the Elder Tales world are actually the game developers. Imagine how many bricks the Landers will shit if Shiroe kills one. A thousand years in the future, terrified parents will whisper to their children the tale of the Villain in Glasses, who slew their God and disappeared.

He's already actively repressing Shiroe by all the bureocracy, therefore making him indebted to do anything since he saves him from all the work at the same time.
>>
>>100598441

I suspect that the reason there's a stereotype about men not being able to aim straight is because the men that miss are so drunk that they cant see straight so aiming straight is nigh impossible.

4 types of coins exist in <Elder Tales>
1G = A dull gold, has a '1' on the face of it, on the back is a flower bud, about the size of a ¥100 coin.
5G = A dull gold, has a '5' on the face of it, on the back is a flower with 5 petals.
20G = Golden, has a '20' on the face of it, on the back is the profile a woman(there are various kinds).
100G = Golden, has a '100' on the face of it, on the back is a crest with crossed swords.

>>
>>100603309

His breakdown of the class distribution is pretty close to /a/ strawpoll vote:

in Japan, as giving by Mamare:

Assassin: 12.09%
Cleric: 11.29%
Summoner: 10.48%
Guardian: 9.67%
Swashbuckler: 8.87%
Kannagi: 6.45%
Samurai: 8.06%
Sorcerer: 8.06%
Monk: 6.45%
Druid: 8.06%
Bard: 5.64%
Enchanter: 4.83%

Result from /a/ strawpoll http://strawpoll.me/512293/r

Assassin: 13 %
Summoner: 11 %
Sorcerer: 11 %
Swashbuckler: 11 %
Guardian: 9 %
Samurai: 9 %
Bard: 8 %
Monk: 8 %
Cleric: 6 %
Kannagi: 5 %
Enchanter: 4 %
Druid: 4 %

The only ones where he's significantly off is on bard, cleric, sorcerer and swashbuckler and I suspect more people would vote Cleric if they knew that that's also the class if they want to play paladin types.
>>
I've been thinking a lot about subclasses. Are all subclasses available to every class? Can you mix weird classes and subclasses? Like, have a Sorcerer Knight or a Druid Berserker or something like that? Are there any weird min-max exploits to be had with such combinations?

Really, though, if I was playing Log Horizon I would just want to play a Sorcerer Knight and not have it be an awful mess.
>>
>>100604123
Playerbase. IIRC, it was mentioned in Vol. 1 in some narrative about Elder Tale before the Catastrophe and how the came was casual-friendly while also having a lot of end-game content for hardcore players.
>>
>>100604238
I don't think we've had anything to imply subclasses being restricted, but there is a build for a melee-ranged Sorcerer so that might synergize well with Knight

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

There's so much depth inherent in the system, its no wonder there's been so many calls for fanfiction. You wanna see a Cleric/Vampire? Druid/Courtesan? Writefag that shit, Mamare is busy.
>>
>>100604238
Why?
Krusty made a Guardian build that ditched high defense.
It would probably go melee magic with quick short range spells.

Actually the gun one is pretty interesting since it essentially boils down to how far they can take the production of new technologies and the answer makes it apparent that skills are the limiting factor for what new technologies can be produced.
>>
>>100613899
It would be interesting if it wasn't answered a hundred times, even by Mamare himself. Then even when it's said how it will never happen, people still go on about how it should be done
>>
>>100614018
It would never happen cause it would just break his story, of course he's just going to say that it can't be done.
>>
>>100614018
It's not Marmalade's fault that players are the most devious creatures on the planet. If we want to find a way to abuse the rules we will.
>>
>>100613899
I believe the answer is that, while they CAN make guns, they'd need an incredibly high proficiency level to use them (~200? Can someone confirm?), so they end up being entirely useless.
The gun thing was asked because of the SAW-like crossbow we saw in the anime, but that was already part of the game.

>>
>>100614077

>>Mamare-san, can people create modern technology like guns or television if they have a high enough skill and real-life knowledge?
>There's a possibility, but there's a difference between making things and actually using them.
>Even if you make a very powerful weapon, you might need to be level 200 to be actually able to use it.

Plus theres the realization that even if they make guns, and can use guns...why would they need to. The ranged weapons already in the setting can outshoot and out damage guns with ease.
>>
>>100614131

And it's still ambiguous because it seems like Mamare was thinking of modern gun technology, assault rifles and stuff. Whether you could make matchlocks, flintlocks, and cannons is still undetermined.
>>
>>100614077

>>
>>100614288

>Why would you need to

Arming Landers with weapons that can actually hurt monsters with minimal risk to themselves. Maybe some of them would make it past 20
>>
>>100614396
Why not just teach them magic instead?
>>
>>100614396
If they can even wield the weapons, and again, there are ranged weapons that can do far more damage than regular guns, and since Lander knights, on average, are level 50, possess those kinds of weapons

>>100614298

>>100614396
Landers already have proper weapons, at least some. And they know how to use them, they're just not superhuman like Adventurers, so it's not a matter of lacking skills, but rather not being immortal and brave/reckless to the point of "leveling up".
>>
>>100614396
WHy not use Magic or Crossbows, though.

Even if you had the appropriate levels for using and creating a gun, at best a gun would just be a stronger Crossbow. It's not like people can walk away from fireballs and arrows to the chest but then suddenly guns 1-hit kill people.

What you're suggesting is to give (beyond) end-raid equipment to Landers so that they can make it past twenty, when they wouldn't be able to use it anyways.

Magic casts from MP. Landers necessarily have a small MP pool, and who knows how easy it is to teach it to them anyway?

Crossbows are fine weapons, but matchlocks are cheaper to make and easier to use.
>>
>magic requires ages of training and is class restricted
>bows takes ages of specialized training to train in their use

>crossbows takes less time to train, uniform and streamline manufacture
easy to pump out in mass quantities and arm quickly trained troops
>firearms same thing as crossbows, except with mechanical parts
>Even if you make a very powerful weapon, you might need to be level 200 to be actually able to use it.

We aren't talking about battle class spells here that can obliterate mass numbers of enemies.
We aren't talking about a gun that can fire a fucking nuke.

You just need something that is easy to operate, manufacture and can punch holes in enemies that EVERYONE can use, it doesn't even have to be a fucking gun.

Sure you can have that one mage that can cast that fuck huge battle class spell, but if he falls, you're kinda fucked
>>
>>100614697
Why would a rifle be better then a bow with an equal level requirement?

Weapon damage seems to be mostly if not completely arbitrarily. A Phantasmal kitchen knife is likely going to do more damage then a store bought two handed axe.
>>
>>100614815
All class changes are cosmetic and are gameplay-wise exactly the same.

>>100614861
Except matchlocks don't exist, and from Mamare we can tell that nobody in the game can actually make guns, so they would be ASTOUNDINGLY more expensive to make than a crossbow. You're using some weird amalgam of real-world and in-game logic that just doesn't work out. If your idea has guns in any part of it, it flat out just won't work.

Working off of precedent, swords are not easy to use in real life as they do in Log Horizon, but depite this when the Apocolypse happened, warriors were still extremely skilled in their use. Therefore we can extrapolate from there that the combat mechanics of ET follow at least a psuedo-MMO style and that bow-users would stil be able to easily wield a bow if it is a combat skill.

Nope. If modern, or semi-modern guns can be made but not used, there's absolutely no reason to think a simple matchlock gun would do this.

Stop thinking about simple old guns as overpowered or out of setting. It's simply propelling metal down a trajectory, its damage would be comparable with a normal magic spell.

Muskets and matchlocks are gimmicky in the ET world. There's no point in crafting guns when bows and other ranged weapons that Elder Tale actually supported have skills attached to them.

Unless the hypothetical gun happened to be stupidly overpowered like in real life, but you wouldn't be able to equip it in that case.
>>

Mages have max range.

>>
Again, the advantage of primitive firearms isn't that they're better weapons than what is already available. The advantage is that it's really easy to mass produce them and train people how to use them.

If you're giving a weapon to a Lander, you want to give them the best weapon you can. If you're trying to give weapons to 200 Landers, all you can hope for is to get the most bang for your buck. Matchlocks were insanely effective for their price in open combat.

Yes, in the real world, where people die from one shot

In ET world, what would work better, a gun, that has to be reloaded, which takes a lot of time and uses up not just ammo, but also gunpowder, or whatever consumable they use for ignition, and deals moderate damage as a simple projectile, or a mid-level bow and arrow, which only needs to be notched to fire, and uses up only arrows, and can deal moderate to high damage

The point isn't making an exact replica of a gun. The point is to find a way AROUND the restrictions to make something that resembles the effects.

No canons but catapults are apparently fine?Load them with potions and set them off.
Aerial bombs? Drop em from a griffin.
Missles? find something that moves fast, attach said explosion or imbue them with sigills to explode with x magic and let fly.

Instead we get a bunch of people with sticks up their asses about the laws in a series where every plan is about saying fuck the rules.

Jesus christ, this is a fucking MMO for god's sake
If you go by that logic then using a matchlock and a musket requires more training than say, using a goddamn bow

Bow
Get arrow, pull the string, release

Crossbow
Pull string, load bolt, pull trigger

Matchlock/Musket
>push frissen/striker forward, pour a small amount of powder and return to position
>pour powder down the barrel, insert ball, push wadding with the ramrod
>raise it and brace it to shoulder, aim pull the trigger

Now which of the three has the highest chance of fucking up?
>>
>>100617067
On the contrary anon, I'm not thinking with real world setting or logic in mind at all. I'm thinking exactly the way I would if I was tossed into the Elder Tale world. "What are the boundaries of possibility. What can I do, and what can't I do."

It doesn't matter if simple matchlock guns are good or not, it doesn't matter if they can't currently match up to high class bows. It's simply an exercise in turning the idea in your head into a reality.

If this type of experimentation wasn't possible then the akiba production guilds never would have completed their steam engine.

You're now an immortal being with all of eternity to fuck around. the correct way to look at things is "why not?"
Also that's just the beta version. As time progresses people with find overskill versions of said tricks to expand the power and range.

It does, thats actually the major difference between menu made and hand made equipment
>Menu made
>Repair it via menu, cleans and fixes the whole thing

>Hand made
>Only repairable by hand, has to be cleaned on its own and maintained like real life gear
>>
>>100617412

Have you ever actually fired a bow in your life? Particularly a historical-style bow, not a modern-quality compound bow. It takes considerable (read: above-average) strength to draw a bow capable of piercing armor, let alone the hide of some horrible monster. Even if you have the strength to draw it, having the technique to hit what you're aiming at does not come easily.

Bows are only simple on paper. Why do you think the earliest samurai spent all their time trying to master them?
>>
>>100617541
Now that's just silly anon
As some faggot said before, bows needs the appropriate skills to use and if that character didn't have that, then he/she can't even equip it , let alone use it
>>
>>100617657
Well, there could be a few hipsters that handcraft the weapon of their dream and use that instead of their class weapon, but that won't be the norm.

>>100617726
Good thing ET doesn't conform to real life restrictions, and level 20s can easily use bows.
>>
>>100617246
The explosive potion itself was an item from when it was a game, that had no (or at least a very low) level limit on it since it only dealt 500 dmg per throw.

Filling a hole in the ground with a bunch of potion is not a 'creation' of a 'trap' item.

It's not something he whipped out of his ass.

Ok, your good but
>>100617726
Needs to read what I said again.
>>
>>100617849
Its an MMO setting mixed with real life, what do you people not get about that. The world is real, but MMO mechanics are melded into the physics.
>>
>>100617808

It is not. Everything has to be done manually now--dodging, blocking, attacking. Being higher-level makes it easier via muscle memory, but it's not automatic.

Bottom line, leveling up in everything is a lot harder than it used to be.
>>
>>100617726
This is a goddamn MMO for fucks sake,
It Bows only need a fucking stat(skill/level) requirement to work
>>
>>100617901

Level 20 adventurers can, IF their class allows them to use bows.

Landers can't as easily. They have to raise their skill manually.
>>
>>100617970
No. Skill goes hand in hand with the ability to do such.
Everyone can ride a horse no matter their level. It doesn't have anything to do with muscle memory.
>>
I didn't realize that guns would also create a shitstorm in LH thread as much as in the real world.
>>
>>100617803
You have an entire world to do mad SCIENCE in. Also the crafting guilds all basically have large research divisions so you can basically get paid to figure this out.
>>
>>100618156
Well, what can do. They sometimes spill out from their GuP threads.
>>
>>100617909
How can you figure out the answer to what you're being told and yet not figure out what's being told to you?
>>
>>100618065

Because horse-riding is a base skill all adventurers possess. I guarantee you random Landers don't know how to ride horses. They have to learn the hard way, and as they learn, their level rises.

Just because you had a 90% dodge rate when it was a game doesn't mean you dodge 90% of all attacks after the Apocalypse. You have to manually dodge everything. It's the same with every other skill.
>>
>>100618245
GuP?
>>
>>100618306
Are we going on about Landers using guns instead of bows IF they decide to fight with Adventurers?
Even EU kingdoms hired them as WMDs, not fought against them. And if there was a server that could go witch hunting and inquisitional, its EU.
>>
If I was an Adventurer and had a large guild, I would employ Lander knights as a form of large scale ranged support. I would equip them with the strongest mass produced bows and arrows they could equip and have them strap explosive potions to their arrows, and march them along with my guild on dungeon battles. Imagine a large line of Lander knights launching salvos of explosive arrows at dungeon bosses as the Adventurers hold the boss down.
>>
>>100618347
Girls und panzer. Famous for bringing many World of the Tanks fans and /k/ to here.
>>
>>100618513
And then dying to boss AoE. And you having to explain to their families the reason they died. Unless you went to low level dungeons, but why?
>>
>>100618415

No, the point is to equip Landers to make them capable of defending themselves. Landers have a siege mentality--the big cities are perfectly safe from monsters, but anything that is more than a day's ride away from such a city is pretty much on its own.
>>
>>100618636
>giving a damn about lander families
I paid them good gold, they knew what they were getting themselves into.
>>
>>100618565
Eh. whatever. It just seems silly that everyone goes berserk at the mention of guns when a few weeks ago we were making plans for mobile airship fortresses/fleets entirely within the constraints of the game.
It just makes it look like we're butthurt about the mention of gun for arbitrary reasons.
>>
>>100618721
It would be good except they don't have bodies you can return
>>
>>100618672
Well, since cannons and guns won't have stats, as some assumed, their damage would be through physics.
And will be as efficient as a high strength Adventurer throwing pebbles, or fist sized stones.
>>
>>100618513
How woudl that work for exp? Seems like you'd be basically making a lander powerleveling service if you set things up right as normally landers cant do shit..
>>
>>100618767
just no fun allowed fags ruining everything
>>
>>100618513
I wonder if you could make a profit by hiring and equipping Landers and make them raid low level dungeons for you?
>>
>>100618513

In most MMOs that allow zerg-style play, having a massively lower level than the boss actually increases the amount of threat given. Your tank wouldn't be able to hold aggro, and the lowbies would all get slaughtered.

The other countermeasure is, as was already said, a periodic AOE that wipes out lower-leveled players.
>>
>>100618767
Did we ever reach an agreement over mobile airship fortresses? I think they'd be possible if enchanting large stones with elemental properties was a thing.
>>
>>100618820

They would have stats...they've already begun making weapons via real-world methods, and they have stats.
>>
>>100618767
Well, " wouldn't it be cool if Landers and Adventurers got cannons, guns and such? They would wreck everything" gets tiring after a while.
>>
>>100618932
It was fairly easy. all you have to do is make a giant hot air balloon or blimp and staff yourselves with wizards and the like for defense. Probably a few different mage types for "fuel"
Dragons might be a problem but consideration was made for abusing the magic bags and having monorails go through the mountains if one couldn't just zap them all out of the sky..
>>
>>100618889
>>100618636
I would keep the Lander squads as far back as possible for their range to allow, and I wouldn't have one tank, it would be split into multiple brigades. Tank brigade at the front keeping a constant chain of skills to tie the boss down, combat brigade in the second line to dart in and attack between the tank brigade, first archer brigade to strike the target with arrows, spell brigade for dumping spells ontop of the monster, and in the back would be the explosive brigade, made up of lander knights wielding arrows with bomb potions strapped to them
>>
Time for a new thread?
>>
>>100618940
Then they will have level limit as well. And given that gun have twice the level limit of usual weapons, I doubt any lvl20 peasant could equip them.

Maybe they could, maybe they could equally fight some level 20 mobs even. And maybe it would be a good thing for servers like EU, where both nobles and Adventurers let mobs kill Landers outside of their castles.
>>
>>100619117
WHOA WHOA WHOA
Are you sure you have the right skills and met the necessary skill requirements to operate those things in the database?
>>
Thread is about to auto-sage away.

>>100619134

Time for a new one
>>
>>100618835
Well even if they are fighting bosses, they still level ridiculously slow
