Finally got around to reading the last couple chapters.
...that's it? Really?
...even the anime ending was better.
I guess everyone is trying to pretend it never happened, then.
That bad, huh.
More like people have been saying for years that the manga is better and it turns out the manga wasn't better.
Whats with the japanese and the end of their mangas?
The majority beleives that good epilogues dont exist?
I dunno, man. I think it's more than the ending, most shounen series turn out shit once they run long enough.
Negima? Used to love it, shit ending.
Soul Eater? Used to like it a lot, shit ending.
Bleach? Enjoyed it for a while, then it turned shit(admittedly pretty early on)
Hayate no Gotoku? Used to love it, turned out... maybe not shit but still pretty damn bad.
And so on.
On a side note, Holyland had a good ending, sorta.
But that the thing I dont understand!
Isnt difficult to create one or two more chapters, as an epilogue. You make an ending which deal with all/the majority of the character and places after the end of the story, and you (the mangaka) earns a little more of money, by selling some chapters more.
This is not a really hard concept
Holyland was seinen, lots of seinen manga have good endings.
Don't know what you're talking about with Hayate. It's still great. Maybe you're one of the people that dropped it when the manga arc was still running? If that's the case, you missed one of the best endings to an arc of all time.
I dropped it after Athena got shat on, but I was getting tired of it for a while already. I'll read it once it's finished.
Same with TWGOK.
If you didn't expect Athena to be a tragic love lost then you must not have read/watched very many romance. I really enjoyed her arc. Also, taking your ball and going home just because your favorite girl didn't win? Come on, Anon. I like Isumi and she has about as much chance of winning the Hayate as Tama does.
yeah that happens
hope at least one piece will manage to save manga
what if tama wins hayate?
I wasn't mad because she didn't win, I was mad because she was introduced pretty late in the series SPECIFICALLY to get shat on.
What the fuck was the point of that? It's just bad writing.
