Since Hiroyuki Imaishi left Gainax to form Trigger I think that Gainax is practically dead for me. Unless they decide to make Scanty and Kneesocks. I'm only interested about Daicon Film 33 ( http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=10362 ).
How the mighty fall.
Imaishi owns the copyright for P&S along with TRIGGER.
If we're going to get more P&S, it's going to be from them.
Daicon Film 33 is going to be mediocre.
Houkago no Pleiades is going to be mediocre.
GAINAX is dead.
Long live Khara and TRIGGER.
I think they still make enjoyable, somewhat interesting shows, like Dantalian and Stella.
they're definitely a bore nowadays, but at least they were the best studio around for a good decade or so
THEY STILL OWE ME A CHRISTMAS AFTER RUINING 2010's
Gainax? More like Failmax, am i rite?
Imaishi and gang obviously enjoyed working on P&S, so maybe we'll get more some day.
Not with their small studio.
Maybe in 2016 when they're a bit bigger.
God I wish. Especially so they can make more Scanty and Kneesocks merchandise for me to buy.
>Scanty and Kneesocks
if they do this I hope it starts in October or so. Just to keep everyone on their toes.
December 24th rolls around and Scanty chops up Kneesocks because she was really an angel the whole time?
I've genuinely not seen a single good show from Trigger
They only need to make a Kickstarter like for LWA and it will be funded within 24h.
its never going to happen.
just give up, like the rest of us already have.
Everyone would watch just to see how they try to ruin Christmas this time.
>Imaishi owns the copyright for P&S along with TRIGGER.
That's good news. So maybe there are hopes.
Even with this small studio the production values of Kill la Kill are so high that put many bigger studios to shame.
Never give up. That's the rule.
Don't lose your way, anon.
>P&S s2 kickstarter
>a milestone stretch goal is to make it at least one X-rated fanservice h-ova
Buy more Daicon merchandise.
PSG in MGR style game when.
Only if it's about delicious demon sister lesbian incest.
But with PSG soundtrack.
>Daicon Film 33 is going to be mediocre.
You don't know until you see it.
Im already cumming at the thought.
>dynamic PSG music during boss battles just like MGR
P&S is pretty shit, but by god that OST and worst album were good
which daicon video had electric lights orchestra? I only saw part of one and I don't remember which or what song was playing.
This is the first I've heard about Daicon 33. They seem to have missed the release date though. Maybe they'll release it next convention.
If they don't get the rights to an ELO song for it I'll be disappointed.
They've only done one show.
>Even with this small studio the production values of Kill la Kill are so high that put many bigger studios to shame.
2. They're not really that high.
I actually bought the mug out of nostalgia.
GAINAX better not fuck this up.
Inferno Cop, Little Witch Acadamia and now Kill La Kill
The first two are fantastic, and Kill La Kill is just silly.
>>100530958 is a faget.
Turning Girls was better then it had any right to be.
LWA wasn't a show.
It's a production that was shown to the world.
>that makes it a show
No it doesn't.
Season 2 by KyoAni.
I just threw up in my mouth.
>"Am I fitting in yet, guys?"
Have any post-P&S Gainax shows been worth watching?
They've all been adaptations so I wasn't too interested in them, since I've heard that only Gainax's original stuff is good. But I recently started watching His and Her Circumstances and I really like it, but that's probably more because of Anno than it is anyone at Gainax today.
So are any of their other adaptations good, or is His and Her just kind of an exception?
You're trying too hard.
Dantallian no Shoka is okay I guess.
Dantalian was enjoyable, but the beginning was slow.
Medaka Box was just annoying to watch.
C3-bu was pretty good.
Mahou Shoujo Taisen in April should be interesting
Kare Kano is only good cause Anno directed it.
I heard Hanamaru Kindergarten was good. Everything else, trash. (Thought the people that watched Dantalian seemed to think it was pretty okay)
>Mahou Shoujo Taisen
>Screenplay: Kazuho Hyodo
>Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (TV) : Series Composition
>Robot Girls Z (TV) : Series Composition
Kare Kano was only part good because Anno left before it ended because the mangaka was a cunt and threw a fit that made him quit.
Aoki Uru when?
Yeah, she hated all the heavy focus on the comedy. Should have known, when she turned the manga in the huge emo fest with RAPE but I forgive you for it!
Another 20 years.
Poor Sadamoto... go to Khara already man. Just go.
Anno was making it GOOD but she wanted the bullshit melodrama and couldn't handle Anno showing her work better than her.
I don't care where he goes as long as he gets Aoki Uru out the door.
Isn't he in Khara? He worked on the Rebuilds. I find it hard to believe that somebody that has had such a close working relationship with Anno for more than 20 years didn't follow him when he founded his own studio.
Oh, and if he does go to Khara, then Anno can direct it like originally planned...over 20 years ago.
Dunno if I'd really want Nu Anno directing it.
It would be interesting to say the least.
He worked with Anno on the first two, but I don't recall him doing anything for 3.0. He's still technically a part of Gainax and I think the last founding member left.
He doesn't have much of too heavy a hand in the making of Rebuilds. He helps to consult over certain things with the story/characters, drew some storyboards (noticeably Kaworu's scenes in 1.11 and 2.22) and made the movie posters. Also, he was the one who did all the character redesigns in 3.33.
But he's still apart of GAINAX but does Khara stuff on the side.
Oh, you're right. Honda did the character work on 3.0 and Gainax had no involvement in it (they're credited for additional animation in the first two).
Honda was just the Animation Director, but Sadamoto is still original character designer.
Trigger is the body that inherited Gainax's soul.
Gainax is just too creatively bankrupt. They're making an anime based off an iOS game of all things...
Gainax needs Anno's strong, masculine hand to guide it in the right direction.
