What was your reaction when you first heard DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY?
I didn't like it and couldn't understand what /a/ was talking about.
It's grown on my since then, mostly because I liked 'I gotta find out who killed my dad'.
I'm looking forward to a slower version with hopefully no rap.
"Oh it's another 'hero is fired up' song"
It's shit. back then I had no reaction, but now I just sigh and look at my desk
I literally orgasmed. Kill la Kill saved anime.
I honestly didn't pay it any mind until it got hyped on /a/ and I appreciated it (or tried to fit in, can't tell if it was subconsciously that) a bit more.
It's not that good a tune, honestly.
>mfw the rapping
I didn't pay it much mind.
Blumenkranz is a better song all around.
A solid 7/10.
Although seeing it spammed so much is kind of ruining it for me.
i wished they had contracted death grips for the OST
The second half of goriLLA蛇L is a much better ass kicking song.
I enjoyed it, but 14 episodes of nothing happening has dulled that enjoyment. Might as well play dont lose your way when she's walking to school or sleeping.
>Not listening to the rap free edit
That version has been out for a while now.
I always get choked up on power up scenes, not sure why that is.
>what was your reaction
I didn't have one. I was just watching it.
In fact when people started quoting it I was wondering where they got that line from because I didn't remember it. Am I weird?
When the fuck did a 2nd CD come out? I totally missed it. What's the name oft he disc so I can download that bitch.
It was the most awesome moment in anime in recent memory. How did you not notice it?
Sadly I have yet to hold that feeling for the rest of any other episode because trigger seems to be doing it's hardest at fucking up any and all other scenes that reach that point.
God dammit I miss Boxing-kun.
Are you me? That was exactly my reaction as well.
I don't really like it. The tempo is very slow, before the drums come in I always think it should be faster than it is and it's kind of distracting.
The best song was Gorilla by far
Yeah all the recent fights suck.
Nah it was the same for me, this show is underwhelming as fuck. Not saying I don't enjoy it though.
I'm not actually sure what the name is. It came with the BD I think.
I'm listening to the full song right now.
The verses are the best part, and the chorus is solid, but holy shit the male vocals in the middle section are terrible (both the rapping part and post-rap). 6/10.
I didn't really take notice of it until the part in your image which is probably the best time it's used
It's a solid song but I really wish it wasn't played almost EVERY SINGLE EPISODE, even multiple times, since it really lessens the impact even when it's used appropriately.
On the other hand, I could listen to Kiryuu ga Kill and Blumenkranz all day
Followed by the awesome guitar rift that the ED provides at the start. Very nice when as it compliments cliffhangers nicely.
guess it just didn't leave much an impression on me
sanbika on the other hand was awesome
Should I buy the BDs?
I thought the english was kinda bad and then I heard the full song and was completely turned off. and then I watched the latest episode and it repeats like 10 times and now I hate it
Do you like the show? Do you have the money? Do you want to give that money to the people who make the show?
Did they fix Satsuki's walk in ep3 in the BD's?
Yes. Sort of (kind of been wanting to build a PC instead of being stuck with this shitty laptop, though). Yes.
The English in all the songs except for light your heart up is bad. And ping pong circulate if you count that.
It's too slow. The song works better around a mid-tempo. Still a 6/10.
Weak song. Not as good as BIOS and Attack on TITAN.
Bios was good but Guilty Crown was fucking terrible.
kill a kill is fucking godawful so no big deal
I had the same reaction as with most anime music; I turned the volume down.
I hate pretty much anything that involves singing.
Sounds like you need more money.
singer of the OP right here
Doesn't a bad show sometimes make you dislike other parts of it? Like it's music.
Row Row was better, especially when moot embedded it
"this song isn't very good, its vocals are out of tune and the tempo is too slow for the action scenes it's used in, hopefully they don't use it too often"
I didn't like it. Found it cheesy. But the whole soundtrack was top notch.
>when you first heard DONT LOSE YOUR WAY
trigger tried to force a meme and recreate the magic of ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWA, but failed because it was such a bland and horrible anison that was more cheesy than funny
No, I have enough money saved up. I'm just scared I'm gonna fuck up the assembly or screw something data-related up. I'm better than a normalfag with computers but nowhere near /g/ level.
Eh, close enough.
There is really no way to fuck up building a computer unless you're a drooling retard with no arms
Shit I'm the same way. I've got the money but I don't want to fuck it up.
>listen to the song for the first time
>actually put I gotta find out who killed my dad
you have got to be kidding
Well get the BD's then.
The only thing you'd need to worry about fucking up is the CPU. As long as you don't try to force it in you'll be fine.
They put it in there so you wouldn't lose your way
Look at this hipster fag
The instrumental version started seeming like a joke when they played it two scenes in a row in the most recent episode.
I'm more worried about configuration after the build. Things like "If you have an SSD, move all things that aren't your OS onto your storage drive" and opening command prompts to disable and enable stuff.
Yeah I think it was.
>mfw I just realized the song was in English
I work at a shop were people who fuck up building their own PCs often bring there failures.
I've never seen anyone fuck up a CPU or motherboard CPU socket. Most common fuckups include:
USB pins ripped off mother board.
SATA plugs ripped off motherboard.
Hole drilled through mother board trying to take out stripped screws when they realize they forgot to put the risers between the case and the board.
Heatsink ripped off expensive video card and then glued on with super glue.
No thermal compound on aftermarket heat sink.
Risers only used on some parts of the motherboard; motherboard warped or snapped.
Power cords randomly forced into crazy places they couldn't possibly go with what had to be a sledge hammer.
Most people are smart enough to not make these mistakes. If they sound funny or unbelievable then building a computer should be easy for you.
The "Don't Lose your Way" version on here is way better.
You've gotta be shittin' me.
when I first heard it? Hype I suppose
What a bunch of cunts.
First heard it with the big PV, and it sounded pretty great. I suspected that the song that played after, and in some of the shorter PVs, was the opening Sirius, but I was hoping against hope that it would be "DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY". It was the song everyone was talking about in the threads, the "I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THIS OST DROPS" song, and it was only the third piece of music we had at that point, with one of them being Sirius.
When I was in that first livestream, when it started playing "DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY", everyone in the chat lost their shit, because here was that fucking great song playing as Ryuko went to town on Fukuroda.
Episode 2 probably could have done without it to save it from being overused, but whatever, not a big deal.
Episode 3 was pretty great with its Sanbika to DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY transition.
Episode 4 used a sped-up version, as did episode 6. There's also that one song on the OST that uses an orchestrated version that was used at the end of episode 3 and when Ryuko beat Sanageyama in episode 6. However, it only really orchestrates the chorus.
But every time they go with a different vocal song and surprise me (like Suck you blood in episode 10), it pretty awesome.
A mix of hype, an adrenaline rush, and the chills. That went on every week when it came on. When I heard the rapping during ost week I lost that feel. The latest episode where Ryuuko finds her way again brought it back though.
This week's episode:
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAY
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAY
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAY
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAAAAAAA—
What would you expect?
They always do everything in zip for some godforsaken reason.
Not to mention everything's solely in *.mp3.
Can you explain your preference for FLAC ? 90% of the media players I own don't play FLAC, even if it is a Lossless format, why not use a format with slightly less quality but more playback compatibility ?
maybe you should stop living in the 90s
>not using Foobar
>why not use a format with slightly less quality but more playback compatibility ?
>slightly less quality
I'm not that guy, but you've already answered your own question.
I thought kill la kill is the best animes ever so cute and yet a masterpeace! Can't hold all that qualities this show gives us!!!
Because you can always convert a lossless format into a lossy format, but you can't really reverse it.
Your sarcasm is leaking through my router, and it's coloring everything in the room a dull brown.
I'm deaf anyway so it doesn't make much difference.
FLAC is placebo. Stop being in denial.
I listen to rap and this is a pretty shitty rapper.
Me too, in my opinion its a pretty generic song.
I dont really get it.
>I am going to like this anime
>if they are playing their ace this early, this is going to get repetetive
>not as good as TTGL "Happily Ever After", "Sorairo Days", "To Hell with Gattai", or "Libera Me from Hell"
This show SERIOUSLY reminds me of Needless, but worse.
the same way i feelt right before Aniki died
Epic send chills down my spine
>I gotta find out who killed my dad
I lost it at that part.
>Can't open a zip
I guess you have a shit computer.
I lost my way ;_;
First time she life fiber synchronized and got jet boosters and started trekking satsukis shit gave me goosebumps
Why doesn't Junketsu talk?
Either it does talk, and we haven't heard it yet, or it doesn't talk because he's so fucking crazy. It has to be kept forcibly restrained when not being controlled by Satsuki.
Maybe he does and you just can't hear him.
There are a few theories:
1.- He really is a mindless bloodthirsty beast.
2.- Only Satsuki can hear him, not even other Kamuis can hear him.
3.- Satsuki's domination of him is so complete that he can't talk.
I thought I was watching Gundam Unicorn for a second.
They're not all that similar, but that's the vibe I got from the intro notes.
Wasn't a fan of.
It's good, but it's certainly not RECKLESS FAIYA or ROWROWFIGHTDAPOWA
The song makes me cringe for some reason. Sounds incredibly cheesy and this is coming from someone who enjoyed the TTGL OST.
At least the rest of the soundtrack is great.
i read that as "mfw the raping"
Quite honestly, i didn't even notice.
Even after the hype on /a/ i didn't know what song they were talking about. Only after like my fourth rewatching of episode 3 i noticed "Hey, is this the song they were talking about? ... WHY is everyone talking about this? This is boring."
I didn't even notice it had english lyrics.
Too generic to register.
>Clothing and people cannot communicate
The only people that have heard clothing have colored hair
It's possible you need life fibers in you in order to communicate with them and that's what has created their oddly colored hair.
> lessens the impact even when it's used appropriately
I try to put myself in a mindset that leaves cynicism behind so I can enjoy imperfection more often but this hits the nail on the head. I like the song and I often like tracks meant to display a 'hero' has been psyched up but if you shove it down my throat three times an episode, its going to have a negative effect.
Has the fast paced DnB version of it/Mako's Hallelujah been released too?
downloading the flac at the speed of a turtle so just wondering.
Shit, I never noticed they had similar hair before.
now that's something
C'mon now man, get your speculah hat on
Let it take you to wild and dangerous places!
I realized it's the music that signals kickbutt time, which made me like the show.
That was cash.
I'm not sure Satsuki is interested in talking to him.
An alternative or adjacent proposal.
>Thinking the problem with .zip is being able to open it or not
>>>/g/ pls go
Don't knwo cause i skipped the fight scene
Just like MGR's soundtrack
I wish after this scene they didn't play it until the finale when Ryuko and Satsuki finally team up
is this true ?
Haha same.Damn moonspeak.
Not much, but this
It's possible that all the dresses that ragyo have are kamui, you can hear whispers on the scene she goes to her wardrobe and says "what shall i wear today"
I don't have a problem with rap in any way. I don't even hate that guy's rap single.
But him rapping over the refrain absolutely enrages me. Jesus christ WHY did they think that was a good idea? It just fucks with the flow of the song and contributes nothing to it. His part should have simply ended when it ended.
>implying you didn't lose your way
>Someone actually bothered drawing this
>Ryuko has two gloves which obviously means they didn't even watch the show
Generic Sawano and Mika. "I swear I hear the same song in Guilty Crown" type of feeling. The soundtrack would've been miles better with Taku Iwasaki.
I'll tell you what it fucking wasn't m8.
My reaction wasn't to lose my way.
Made me want to kick my real fathers teeth in for all the shit he did to my family.
Made me want to drag my step-father out of Hell with nothing but comfortable pants and a packet of Tic-Tacs, gritting my teeth as I bring the only person worthy enough to be alive out of the place where he was wrongly puked in.
It was alright.
I thought it was the second best song on the soundtrack
First heard it in the 3-minute PV after all the waiting.
This and the hair on my arms standing, as cheesy as the track was/is.
This anime has honestly changed my life.
I went into it not expecting much, considering that was hyped to shit. Holy fucking shit, was I blown away. I was hooked, like a baby to a tit with creamy foamy milk. I could feel the energy and hype flowing through my body, bringing light to my dull life. I resonated with Ryuko. I could feel her struggle and her desire to surpass her limitations, something that struck me hard. Everything suddenly stopped when I heard the words:
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY
and I started trembling. That was me, I feel like I've been "losing my way" these past years. I haven't been able to hold a steady job, my grades were starting to slip, and my parents suspect that I'm gay. It was right then and there that I knew that I had to get my shit together. I can't think of any other anime that has had such a profound effect on me, let alone on the first episode. Tomorrow, I'm going to be a better man. Thank you, Kill la Kill, thank you Trigger.
I won't lose my way.
I was going through a really stressful time. when I first heard it, I broke down crying.
Trigger saved me from losing my way.
Don't lose your way gets boring really fast
Gamagoori's theme however makes me rock hard every time I hear it.
This is the gayest post on 4chan
We really need a better, less corny, pasta praising this show.
I lost my way
You think being suspected of faggotry is losing your way? Try pretending to have DID so that your best friends girlfriend fucks you with her thinking that by your NTRing her my "other self" goes away, thus her and her friends won't die a painful death Nosferatu style, then recording said fucking, showing it the best friend and jerking off wildly as their 8 year relationship crumbles before your eyes in a symphony of pure lust and laughing at her areolas calling them pepperoni slices.
Every other song on the OST is better than Before my body is dry. With or without the rap.
I knew, in that moment, that this was the true spiritual successor to Gurren Lagann
It feels so weird knowing that the TBF crew really likes it. It's like, c'mon, guys, I expected better from you. Then again, they love Metal Gear too.
It's grown on me some, but my first impression really was 'budget, bad Libera Me knockoff'.
I... actually kind of like the rap.
But anon, females go through puberty earlier than males and Ryuko is 17 at the beginning of the story, while Simon was 14 in the first part and 21 in the second.
Neither is within the average ages for puberty, as females usually complete theirs by the time they're 16 and males generally go through it between 16 and 20.
>DON'T LOSE YOUR W-
Not that anon, but "coming of age" might be the better way to put it.
Why don't you just go look at the archive if you really want to know the answer to that question?
It's this magical place where you can actually SEE all the posts someone made at any given time, and search by different keywords to find specific posts!
Where's the "Don't lose your way" version of this?
I saw it on /a/ a while back, it was titled "never give up your waaaay", but I can't find it.
>I GOTTA FIND OUT WHO KILLED MY DAD
I was thinking of why Satsuki wore Ryuuko's glove, do all Kamui's drink blood or is it only Senketsu?
How can we be sure Junketsu does?
Or Is it shown in episode whatever the fight was in which I can't remember.
It's sounds like she's singing DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY KETSU WO.
I can't help but think of anuses.
Yes, Junkestsu drinks blood as well. You see it when Satsuki first activates her kamui, and you see it in every transformation scene where the needles jab into her bloodstream.
>not using FLAC
>zipping an mp3 file
>mp3 is already compressed better than zip could compress a WAV
>compressing a compressed file
>bittorrent can handle more than one file and doesn't need them in a zip
>can pick and choose the files you want to download from a torrent
>zip file contains time stamps, so you can't re-zip the files to re-seed
But I don't care myself because they're only like 50 megs anyhow and I'm not anal retentive about having FLACs.
>Do the impossible, see the invisible.
>Row! Row! Fight the power!
>Touch the untouchable, break the unbreakable.
>Row! Row! Fight the power!
>DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY
I was thinking sorairo days and libera me from hell is way better than this or any other shitty ost in kill la kill.
Official Mika Kobayashi songs ranking:
Bios > Attack on Titan = Bauklötze > βίος-δ > REMIND YOU = EGO > that song in the X trailer > Before my body is dry > This is a Fight to Change the World > Assiah Fantasia First Movement Call me later > Exorcist Concerto First Movement Me & Creed > CR€SC∃NT
I like the rap parts of Libera me from Hell, but on this song it just felt tacky
I GOTTA FIND OUT WHO KILL MY DAD
I said "wow I'm gonna make that my ringtone"
now it's my ringtone
You forgot α≠a, THE GONG, and Illusion, but decent list otherwise.
>get around to downloading the OST, hyped as fuck
>DON'T LOOOSE YOUR WAAAAYYYY still sounds awesome
>suddenly shitty rapping and "I've gotta find out who killed my Dad"
"Dammit, this show is gonna suck."
And it did.
Blumenkranz > All
Aren't those songs from some Dramas? I only used those from an anime OST.
What do you get when an actual German sings Blumenkranz?
>What was your reaction when you first heard DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY?
The same reaction I had when I heard RULES OF NATURE
Thank you very much, anon-kun
ryuuko is shit compared to simon
Man kann eigentlich die Worten hören
When I first heard it in the PV I thought it sounded boring and generic, and completely unfitting. I grew it like it somewhat over time.
That's a funny way to spell Kiryuu G@ KiLL
