>That manga that had a sudden, rushed ending that left you unsatisfied
What's her name /a/?
Franken Fran. We didn't even get to see the fucking professor and instead got 5 chapters of Kamen Rider shit.
>starts off OK, I wonder who will die next on this island of killer animals
>100 chapters of nothing really happening and no one dying
>sudden, rushed ending that's fucking stupid
I felt that way about KnJ
Isn't that the guy that slapped around Lyoto Machida?
I also came here to post this. We will never know who that masked murderer was.
>100 chapters of nothing really happening and no one dying
God I had hopes for the MC not going full beta after saving his waifu from rape yet he went full betamax in the romance department.
The ending didn't enrage me as much because it didn't feel like an ending, more like the end of an arc of a series that will never be completed.
What is double arts ?
The last we saw of Keisuke he was passed out drunk in a park and Takumi's 86 just gets scrapped and he doesn't even really seem to care.
This is why I check reviews before I pick up completed manga.
like Love Hina I think it would've been more satisfying if they didn't tack on a horrible epilogue at the end
Yu yu hakusho is the fucking definition of this.
Hunter x Hunter
in 5 years
No. Just no.
I am a hero
basically the Mangaka just up and gave up on it in the last minute
Candidate for goddess
ended just when it left off at a cliffhanger
Togashi always sucks at ending arcs.
I think that was his sensei.
Eitheir victory slaps or dissapointment slaps.
Thankfully the anime added 10x more depth to it...and then ended with even more questions and unfinished character stories.
Attack on Titan
2nd half of Railgun S1
Fullmetal Alchemist 2003
There's probably a lot more but it strikes me that all of these were manga-based
Manga you fucking idiot
Basically, they've compressed a 3-4 volume arc into 1 volume.
That fucking hammer ending
Yeah I just realised that
Excuse me I'm retarded
Nope, I'm wrong.
That's his father-in-law and he punched him as some sort of baptism to MMA
FUCKING THIS, I WAS FUCKING FURIOUS, I STILL AM.
I am still mad.
That was in no way sudden or rushed. It was extended so bad and the end was a sweet sigh of relief.
I'm still mad
Gantz had the opposite problem.
This is one rushed ending that actually left me satisfied.
Fuck you JUMP.
I'm still somewhat happy I dropped this before I got to the end.
satsuki best girl
Veritas was so good but it got canned why
>Just ends after inter-high
>love triangle unresolved
>real identity is still declared dead
Should've had at least two more arcs.
The author and artist had an argument. That was pretty much it.
That coupled with a cancellation left me dead inside.
Shame, this is one of those rare shoujo manga with good art.
From the top of my head? Pretty Face and Ai Cora
This. This. This.
Fuck you Jump.
looks more like warm-up slaps to me
Rozen Maiden. Fuck you Peach-Pit.
Not like it was any good on the last quarter or so, but hey.
>Mope around 10,000 years with godlike powers
>Needs to be rescued by the third clone of his waifu he encounters
Yuki is the betamax for me. Shinji doesn't even come close.
Pajama kanojo and Hozuki Island
That whole series got rushed, so sad because I loved it
Not technically rushed, but my rage will last always and forever.
Season 1 was made without intention of a Season 2 and had a perfectly fine ending, even if it was a cliffhanger.
Season 2's ending was made with the intention of a Season 3 (that got its funding pulled by AS) and as a result is awkward and confusing.
I talked with a dude at Williams Street and asked him about Big O since Toonami came back. He told me they still have the sweet 6' tall Big O statue in their office, but "the ship has long since sailed" on a season 3.
I never read action manga, most of the stuff I pick up is romance and/or comedy. So I started this one and a year later when they were still looking for the other avatars, the final boss forces the final fight and everything gets solved in 2 chapters. Fuck.
I liked the mindfuck ending.
Dear god, I still remember the amount of rage in that sticky.
This manga would've got 10/10 from me had it not been for its ending.
>Doesn't even solve the puzzle
>Expects us to figure it out
>Literally nothing to go on
I would have liked something more coherent than "it's the Truman Show with robots"
Karin also known as Chibi Vampire, loved the manga but the ending just pissed me off like hell and literally kept me up for two days. They could have made a much better ending but they just had to fuck everything up. Man even now it still pisses me off
Katsu! and One Outs.
>mfw Adachi leaves that unsatisfied taste on me
Well it WAS cancelled, so no choice really.
Don't remind me.
But it was sooo good.
A fucking MC that is asertive to his love interest and doesn't mind killing people for fucks sake.
Surprised no one posted this yet.
I erased that shit ending from my head long time ago.
Remember to read my new work UQ Holder!
>...That's just how RJ plays.
Who is that dangerous looking man?
FUCK THAT MANGA SO MUCH
No. It's shit.
>Engaged to Eri
>Living with Yakumo
>Tenma completely gone
It was all set to enter the greatest arc, but nope. Timeskip and end.
Literally and objectively the best school comedy. I don't know what you're talking about.
Six chapters, and the faggot didn't go for the reverse trap.
The man who invented Blues, and by extention, Rock & Roll.
I still can't believe that the author of that went on to make Prison School.
MxO artist gets no breaks man, his next manga about that mirror thing was cancelled as well despite being top tier
Gatchaman Crowds, seriusly, that was anticlimatic.
Devil Blues mind.
What I can't stand the most is that the dog chapters themselves felt like a filler arc or something that wouldn't be close to the end of a series. There was no resolution to the main story whatsoever.
I hate timeskips so fucking much. Such a cheap plot device.
The ending, motherfucker. The ending.
It's like the mangaka just thought 'I'm bored with this, let's just end this quickly'.
making you forced swallow the ending.
Well... I can't argue with you there... I was wrong sorry
IM RAGING SO FUCKING HARD RIGHT NOW. I'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THESE TWO MANGAS UNTIL THIS THREAD.
Being a mangafag is suffering
Banana no Nana.
I wouldn't say it left me completely unsatisfied, though. The author just went "fuck it" and decided to end the series with hot lesbian sex on the moon.
his 86 gets...
I will never forget this day.
What's up with that banana?
I wasn't aware it'd ended. Last I checked, they were still trying to convince the Maid to join them
>kagami no kuni harisugawa
the mangaka is cursed, not one of his works made it to 100 chapters
Maybe his next work will have Saki too
What isn't up with the banana?
You do know a series can not be fully translated, right?
>last oneshot didn't get continued
>nothing heard from Kano since then
It's just that both of them are polar opposites and I was honestly expecting the author to make something similar in the vein of Devil Blues, rather than something in the vein of To Love Ru. At least his new work is successful and he's making a decent amount of money off of it.
What about manga that went on for too long and you just wanted it to end already?
the mangaka himself is still butt ravaged
That is a page of completely inexplicable Lunar Lesbian Lovemaking, and you are concerned with the banana.
I think your priorities are a bit off.
was just about to say that
I feel like they could have pushed their relationship further.
You mean Bleach?
Damn I totally forgot about that, hilarious.
I always saw this in this kind of threads.
What's really happened? Did the author rushed its ending? Or was it the publisher that cancel it?
That is good example.
That was horrible.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
No one could make the life of a mangacka so boring.
Hell even Gin no Saji makes the life of a farmer look better.
Why would you wish suffering upon other people?
>the author of that went on to make Prison School.
Got canceled due to low ratings.
So now that you know, >>100509757
Bleach at least is ending in a not so bad note.
At this rate is gonna take like 2 years but still it's ending.
and become like the rest of you?
SJ will can series that make money due to their retarded rating system, if you are not super popular your neck is on the chopping block constantly.
I liked it at first but then it on and on with the same shit happening over and over again. They made countless successful manga but never getting the goddamn anime. The ending was rushed and terrible as well.
By the way, the life of a mangaka isn't really exciting anyway.
They had it all set up for the best girl to win, then they cut the manga short and ended up going with boring one.
Didn't the magazine this was in ended its publication?
Are those the bounty hunters that Nodoka was traveling with?
>but then it went
I'm reading Psyren right now on chapter 127. I hope the ending isn't too bad.
COLONEL MUSTARD IN THE KITCHEN WITH THE ROPE
Professor Black is the true killer anon.
I felt that Eden: It's an Endless World! was pretty rushed towards the end
Oh wow, he's actually called Professor Plum in the american version. Don't know why they changed the fucking name here.
Thanks for opening those old wounds /a/.
I don't think there was a single reader of this manga who wasn't rooting for best girl. Seriously. And as with all mangas that have a main girl from the start, it was doomed to failure even if it wasn't cancelled
I think I do remember some Maofags.
americans hate blacks
I felt like it was shit.
Also the ended wasn't rushed the author just got canned because of spending 80+ chapters with filler episodes that added nothing to the story.
Steel Ball Run
The ending to Escaflowne was bullshit.
yeah :( disappointing
Then LO came out but everybody knows how that turned out.
You need to leave.
you mean hades?
Is there any manga where, after introducing the best girl, the author just stops trying to shoehorn in the "main girl" later on in the story?
Needless, KIND OF. The actual ending was fine but the finale was so rushed that a couple of fights were skipped entirely, two characters died off screen while everyone acted like they knew about it which they couldn't possibly have, etc.
So really it's just how the finale was handled I think that was disappointing.
Hourou musuko and aoi hana
The author just decided to end the two manga at the same month. I swear it should be illegal for authors to half ass their long running manga.
UQ Holder isn't Negima.
This. I really enjoyed this one but the end left me hanging.
He was pretty pissed by the end of his last series.
I fear we'll never read anything new from him again.
Isn't Needless supposed to continue in Needless 2, or is the author not planning on continuing that?
I only read this for the pretty girl squad. I lost interest when two of them appeared to be dead.
I don't know. Maybe Gantz? I liked Tae-chan though.
Well as I said, we already got another one shot last year, "Brand New School Day", but nothing came out of it.
Recently? Reversible. It ended pretty abruptly.
I wanted more boys in skirts!
Mm, well. As far as I've heard the mangaka was pretty rushed during the writing of the finale. Teruyama's fight with Setsuna was never resolved and then Setsuna has apparently died and comes back as some sort of zombie.
One chapter was left with Solva and Seto being lead into a room by Uten and Kafuka, there was a shadowy figure and a fight was supposed to happen but never did. This is the last you see of them until the end. At the end of the story Adam Blade makes a wish so that Seto and Solva come back to life, it would have made sense but there was no hint that they had died or even fought a battle for that matter so it was pretty all over the place.
Wait, that ended?
It's not finished yet, but I'll probably be disappointed with Last Order's about-to-be-rushed ending, especially since we don't know if anyone will bother with the announced sequel.
At least with Battle Angel he had the excuse of thinking he was dying from something.
It wasn't really serialization material, unless he went the way Nisekoi went and just kept the gimmicks without advancing the story.
But we have Nisekoi for that.
Well the pretty girl squads died off-screen but it's pretty obvious that Solva and Seto got owned by Gido/Adam Z. Then they got eaten by fake Arclight, they died on screen dude.
Yep, newest chapter was the last one, the ending came out of fucking nowhere, it was alright I guess but it caught me off guard.
Sure, but at least there were some signs that he's still alive.
Maybe this year.
Well there's must be a batch somewhere with a missing chapter or two or something because I read that 5 times because I was so confused as to what happened and I couldn't see shit.
Also posted it in a Needless thread once and a few people seemed to agree. Gonna have to re-read it with a new batch I guess.
Fuck! I remember reading the manga and getting really into it. Then suddenly reaching ch. 99 and what the fuck, I thought I had caught up with the weekly releases, but no, it turns out it got axed. Fucking Japan and it's shit taste!
Wow, time sure flies, I still remember the thread we had when the first chapter was translated.
It was pretty gay.
>try to be there during the new years
At least he ended up with the best girl.
Unbalance x Unbalance
NO FULL NUDITY
DRAMA BUILDUP CUT SHORT
All that potential...gone.
But he didn't.
Lotte no omocha
It took me a lot of willpower to follow it because of all the blood sucking in the first chapters (phobias kicked in) and then it suddenly ended.
>phobias kicked in
>Are those the bounty hunters that Nodoka was traveling with?
No, they are some hitmen hired because they are good at dealing with immortals, one of them happens to be named Chao.
>UQ Holder isn't Negima.
Of course, but its set later on in the same world (all of Ken's manga are in the same world apparently) and has several characters from Negima already.
>Lotte no omocha
Wait this ended?
This was a rushed ending?
Yes and yes.
Goddamnit anon, I had already forgotten how butt devastated I was after it suddenly ended!
Chibi Vampire Karin was excellent, even the anime was great.
I have trypanophobia
scared of needles or all pointy objects?.
Alita LO manga are going to end abruptly
Needles, but vampire fangs have the same functionality, so I panic.
i dont get how someone could be scared of needles but, well up to you.
Try to remind yourself that *vampire* fangs only extract, needles and poisonous creatures' fangs infuse. Not sure if it'll help, phobias are notoriously poor responders to logic.
GE – Good Ending
THEY FUCKING LIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!
>He would later die under a rock
i liked that oneshot a lot.
WHY ALL GOOD THINGS DIE?
That doesn't mean Negima didn't end.
Negima was a story about Negi, whilst UQ Holder is about Touta.
Even if the works are connected, and take place in the same setting, the stories are different.
The point of this thread involved endings that came with unresolved issues, and UQ Holder is unlikely to solve some of Negima's stuff. At best, we'll learn what happened to Negi and to some of the girls, but other than that, I doubt it.
wtf are you talking about?
the ending was rushed but really good.
9/10 manga, but the last 15 or so chapters kept it from being 10/10
It should have went the whole distance until Nono won the gold medal. It was entertaining as fuck.
I will never ever ever ever get over this, ever.
If I someday rule the world, Japan will straight up pay for this in blood.
become one of us
one of us
one of us
one of us
one of us
one of us
I wanted him to get both.
Unless we find out that Negmia et al had their series slely because they were in that part of that world at that time, and the story wasn't really about them but about the events they triggered and participated in and the effects they caused through them.
Shit's about something scaled far grander, becoming too attached to minor players is pointless.
I read a short series like that once where everything the main cast did was orchestrated by outside observers to advance a small aspect of a much larger plot, something like awakening the third of seven objects. I don't think the author ever revisited it though.
Even if it's Fujoshi pandering crap it still had a lot of potential
It doesn't change the fact that Negima was about Negi and his journey, regardless of what it meant on the grand scheme of things.
And again, your point has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
ha im glad i dropped that shit, for me it looked like a beelzebub with guns, but the MC is a wimp and the mascot is an ass
I think that's Antonio Inoki, big name in Japanese pro wrestling. Apparently receiving a slap from him is a honor.
Which axed manga had most brilliant or satisfying ending?
>Not a single post for Hikaru no Go.
No one else read it? ;_;
It turned to shit but what the fuck Lim Dall-young
There wasn't even really an ending to begin with, just some long flashbacks.
Waited months and months for the final chapters, and then it pulls the coma ending.
they're all shit
all manga is shit
you're shit as well
Neon Genesis Evangelion
>"Sweet, we killed all the angels. Now let's turn ourselves into one giant brain."
>"By the way, enjoy the last 2 episodes. They're fucking nothing."
Like, fucking really?
Are those her pubes?
Because it came back
GE - Good Ending
I ended up hating Bakuman and stayed for the sake of reading the ending. Needless to say, it wasn't worth it. I don't know which one hurt the most, LO! or GE. Both had tons of potential and one ended too soon and one ended way too fucking late and horribly.
has he finished a single series ever that wasn't some crappy cop out
This is specifically about manga, and the Eva manga was not rushed in any way whatsoever.
fine ill make my own thread
>what the fuck did I just watch?
Don't forget the blackjack and hookers.
Ah, so you're including EoE?
Greentext doesn't even work there.
Trust me, I've tried.
Ooh, I had forgotten about that. There were like three different ploys being set up before it all got fucked up.
Also, No Bra. Not sure if it was actually rushed or the author was retarded but either way I'm still mad
>tfw marathon up until the point it was at at the time
>going towards the pyramid
>so excited for whats going to happen
>1 chapter a month
>nothing fucking happens
What the heck /a/, I thought it would be one of the first posts.
But the prelude to the ending. That was melodramatic to the max. Holy shit I really liked that manga, but it left an feeling so complicated that I couldn't really feel satisfied after seeing best girl win.
Kurogane got axed right?
The breaker had kind of a garbage ending but I guess the author needed a setup for new waves somewhere
Chaosic Rune anybody?
Wolf Guy. I was ready for 20 more chapters of gangrape, but nooo. MC-kun had to kill the bad guy with literally the power of friendship.
