ITT: anime that taught you a thing or two about life
If you're going to do something grandiose you better surround yourself with other competent people.
FIGHT DA POWAH
Was actually going to post this
>being inspired by Gurren Lagann
Kill yourselves, people.
Expanding more on it: yeah, it's a ridiculous story. But it showed me how far persistence and determination takes a person.
Is that something you really needed to be taught, thou?
Just do whatever you think is right, do your best and fate will take care of itself.
Yang did shit about that though.
for you? no
for my ambitions? yes
Wasn't one of the main message that there is no good system and the best way to change the world is to change it yourself because everyone else is probably incompetent?
I don't think you understood that subtle mockery.
Let's all worship Lain!
>How can you love her if you can't even eat her poop?
>You'll never have the balls Kaiji had
Don't just do things you already know or you're forced to do. Break out from the routine, grab a few friends, have fun with them and live driven by your passions. Even if it seems like a waste of time and you think it's getting on your nerve, it's always better than staying at home.
>not being inspired by Gurren Lagann
No anon, you are the one who needs suiciding.
Life is suffering
It actually has some real message.
Better to die and keep the head up than to live and bowing.
There is no happiness in a world where Gen Urobuchi is God. Unless, of course, that happiness would lead to greater tragedy.
what exactly did you learn?
Oh, come on, just tell this motherfucker to get out of the way and everybody will live a normal life.
Are you supposed to watch Akagi before Kaiji? Or is it better just to watch Kaiji?
They're different series, you can start with either.
A lot of good life lessons in Gintama
Akagi is Mah-Jong, Kaiji is other games. You choose.
Personally, I'd take Liar Game. The games are much more entertaining.
Is Kaiji better than Akagi?
I mean, Akagi isn't bad but-
It's kind of boring.
I'm watching the dorama now, shit's cash.
Liar game is only good until the bank and interrogation thing. Then It's utter shit.
Why didn't the author continued with One Outs?
If I don't obsess over everything, it's harder for me to be affected by them
People will go to great lengths for glory. Even going as far as to hurt those closest to them.
Drama is fine, manga is better.
>not liking the musical chairs
>not liking bid poker
>not liking vaccin motherfucking game with the hijack at the end
you serious ?
Not to be a pussy, gotta get handle of this yet.
>Welcome to the NHK
The world is a dark place that only respects you for you can do for it, in short not to be a counterproductive ass.
Not to be let down by guilt, stay alive and be grateful for the good and simple things.
Just wanted to chime in to this one. Gurren Lagann taught me that confidence is just a mind set. Decide you can do something and stick with it. You'll be amazed at what you can do.
I enjoyed how that episode went from Oreki showing how his bullshit theories make no sense to them figuring out someone got caught for using counterfeit money from just hearing a school message.
Here's another one
It's possible for a manga to be superior to anime in every way
Hnnng I want to rape Chitanda.
Otaku no Video.
Yep, Lain and Kino are the biggest ones for me.
>ONANI MASTER KUROSAWA
Made me think about the past and just made things I didn't want to confront just click.
If I had a son, I'd make him read this once high school's over.
nobody has the right to take the life of another
don't half ass things, going balls deep on a mistake can sometimes lead to a better outcome than stopping halfway after you've made it
I find it cute how this many people are influenced by TTGL.
I learned from Akagi that Mahjong is fucking confusing and to hard for me.
Are you kidding me? Akagi was a lunatic bordering suicidal, you can't seriously pretend to go on around life with his mindset unless you have a death wish.
Why would it be cute ? A lot of people are apathetic, lack motivation and dreams.
TTGL responds precisely to these needs. Even a lot of grown-up men would gain something if they watched it.
One Outs is one of the few manga I consider to be "complete"; there was no reason to keep it running. Like Ajimu says, "Series that run longer than 10 volumes are just coasting on their success." And that's what Medaka Box taught me.
Just saying that said lack of confidence is cute. It's common in 20-ish yo college students that haven't been slapped in the face by real life yet.
>One Outs is one of the few manga I consider to be "complete"
I wanted to see more baseball hijinks and Tokuchi going to the major leagues.
>And that's what Medaka Box taught me.
Medaka Box was a fucking novel with drawings. An example of why Nisio should never write manga.
Fucking this. I can't play videogames any other way than as a moralfag, and I fucking love it. Playing Bastion, when you're given the choice to leave or save Zulf, I heard his voice in my head and I knew what I had to do
Is he really a genius? Or is he just a guy who always takes the riskier route and ends up getting lucky? I don't understand mahjong very well, but it doesn't seem like there's a lot of strategy involved
So ... yes, not everyone on /a/ is 25-30, that's normal. Actually, most of /a/ members are escapists and people who don't get shit done. A lot of people watched Gurren Lagann before they achieved perfect confidence in themselves (that is, if they achieved it), therefore it's not a surprise it inspired them. And everyone needs a boost sometimes.
To be fair, the musical chairs was brilliant but the conclusion was a bit meh.
The pandemic game was gold though.
To attain happiness, you must accept yourself.
He's a genius, but he also takes crazy risks and gets lucky. Most of his strategies involved coincidence.
He was in the major leagues the whole series though
Solidarity and Fatso save the day.
youre a good one, bro
No, he was in the japanese baseball league not THE major league.
>mfw imagining Tokuchi making A-Rod mad with his psychological speech
Personally I thought "Congratulations, fatty" was a glorious finish
You can reach everything if your friends believe in you.
Most people usually related to the character and feel like shit and want to kill themselves after this show. But Sato taught me there is no point shutting yourself away and being miserable, the best way to conquer your anxiety is to throw yourself in the deep end even if Sato never willingly did it. I left my room and experienced all that normalfag shit like clubbing and I learned something, I was happy shut away by myself watching anime and browsing /a/ and that is what matters but at least I know I am not missing anything and I can stroll down to the shop and buy milk without spending half an hour shitting my pants and worry about having to interact with he person with the register.
This show inspired me to grow some balls
>/a/ has no friends
I'm your friend anon and I believe in you.
Nah. We don't need friends to believe in us.
We need to believe in us who believe in us.
I believe in you anon!
What is a friend?
A miserable pile of personal satisfaction!
Looks like you read Higurashi.
Why don't you post what happens 2 min after she said that, aka friendship power ?
Gurren Lagann continues to inspire me.
Friends accomplish some pretty amazing things for friends.
Pic not related
What if OPM anime? Would that be the ultimate anime?
>Implying pic isn't related
They're bros. Or sis if you prefer. Or maybe lovers. Whatever they share a strong bond.
Obligatory. I mean, come on.
If you decide to trust anyone, trust them until the very end
Even though Chiyu a shit
Oh, I know anon. In another anime, Kyouko would have saved Sayaka instead of drowning with her.
>normalfag shit like clubbing
I've got sum bad newz
I learned its okay to be open about my feelings for my sister.
How did that worked out for you?
>I can stroll down to the shop and buy milk without spending half an hour shitting my pants and worry about having to interact with he person with the register
Jesus, how pathetic can a person get.
Yeah, she would do this instead
But seriously, what do you mean by
> In another anime
what could you possibly learn?
punching and screaming makes you stronger?
it's okay as long as you still have one cell left?
hilarious misconceptions of how much time a planet takes to blow up?
that it doesn't matter that one time when you killed everyone in the world and tried to destroy the universe, you could still reincarnate as a good guy?
I learned that life is full of suffering and there's nothing we can do about it
The life of many is more important than the life of one.
Then you have to watch more happy animu
Okay one question, which one you prefer
> You're waifu
> The rest of the world
That's what loli is for.
He's damn near a fucking wizard to do what he does.
No doubt about that
I am a pedophile.
I did the same thing but with having a normal college life but I soon realized I'm not missing shit and prefer to be alone if the stupidity that is outside my wall is the norm then within my walls I will gladly stay.
Life is cruel and merciless. However, if only we look out for one another, we can make life joyful.
pic didnt go through
NHK taught me that no cute girl (or anyone, for that matter) is every gonna come and make my life better, or try to help me. If you want to see a change in your life, it is 100% up to you to take the first step.
That's madoka in a nuttshell
Get over yourself.
If you join a Karateclub, everybody will forget that you raped at least one guy from every club in the school.
ur a faggot
How? Madoka rewrites reality, she obviously can (and did) do something about it.
I once received a job proposal when I was just sitting around in my house playing games and watching anime, guess I'm lucky then. And I met my girlfriend on a normal day in college. not a party or shit like that.
I'm an audiofle!
Whathehell anime is this?
I'm cringing so hard at 90% of the shit you people are posting. What is this, Reddit?
>Not teaching you that you can achieve good even if you know society will be against you
I didn't watch the third movie so. by the ending of the anime. despite all her effort. and despite the incubators and the mahou shoujo's relation were kinda better, everything was pretty much the same. there were still bad things lurking in the world and there were still some good girls to fight them (homura) as far as what happens in the last movie i still don't know so I'm basing myself only before that.
I honestly don't see what a normal guy like you could even get out of that series. Did you watch it just to laugh at how pathetic he was?
Sometimes it's also important to learn something from what we watch anon
Karate whatever Minoru
I didn't watched it yet. but is on my list. I like these kind of themes. and no, i don't think I'm normal at all. at least not where I live xp
EoE always makes me feel like getting shit done and stop being such a bitch.
Fuck this shit. I'll kill as many people as I can.
Hard work can overcome being different.
And it's okay to cry sometimes.
I'm currently watching the anime and dam i feel bad for the blonde girl
Nen koro, nen koro, nen koro ni
Same thing happened to me. It worked out poorly but I'm glad I was able to come to terms with myself.
This post is gay.
Don't be stupid, we learned this lesson already. It would end up just like the Eyeshield 21 anime, painfully and astonishingly outclassed by its manga predecessor. Unless Murata himself was animating it all having an anime it would do is emphasize how good Murata's manga was, and how bad the animator is.
You could've learned that from Code Geass
code geass? glory? lelouch died to protect a world he wanted nunnaly to live in, he didn't get any glory, it's right the opposite, he died being hated by the world, the only glory he got was from the fans who could see how beautiful that was
Lucky Star, sheeeeet.
NO onizuka? It is a life lesson per chapter,
No it's not. It's like that for maybe the first half, being generous. Then it pretty much is just a comedy, with a few inspirational moments interspersed.
Normalfag please go.
