is there even a single anime that hasn't gotten considerably worse after its first season?
The whole "monogatari" series
If anything Nisemonogatari was better than Bakemonogatari.
Working, Gintama, Arakawa Under the Bridge, SZS, Honey & Clover, Korean Zombie Desk Car, Mitsudomoe, Ika Musume, Index, Yuru Yuri, Hidamari.
These are all series that I've enjoyed the second season just as much if not more of.
SYD. It's the exact same thing.
I see a pattern here, most of these are comedies without much plot that are just more of the same.
I don't see the problem here.
Clannad: After Story.
You're kidding right?
What is Birdy Decode
Natsume Yuujinchou, Yuru Yuri, Nichijou.
1 > 4 > 3 > 2
Also Haruhi, Spice and Wolf, Ika Musume
I didn't really enjoy the first season much. It was one of those things I slowly grew to love. Much like SZS.
>Haruhi, Spice and Wolf
Don't get me wrong, the second season was still very enjoyable, but I consider it inferior to the first season.
>Dat fucking time travel episode
Na, the second season was to dragged out and Hell Pachinko was boring.
Same for me, but after rewatching them you start noticing that some of the magic disappears after the first season. That's how it felt to me at least. Season 2 is easily the weakest though.
How can it worse? Half of second season is prequel if I remember
>Spice and Wolf
>Implying endless eight isn't the greatest anime masterpiece of all time.
>implying the Haruhi movie doesn't blow season 1 out of the water
Yep. Not many shows can still leave me wanting more after four seasons.
Aria, Hidamari Sketch, Natsume Yuujinchou
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
Yakitate! Ja-Pan second season was much better than the first, but everything after that falls apart.
Oh, good. I can watch S2 without any fear of being let down.
If you ask me, Aria got better with each new season.
Date A Live will be an example soon.
>movie lower than anything
dog shit tastes detected
Symphogear not yet mentioned
Gundam AGE? At least the second arc was much better than the first. Of course, its also sorta the peak of the series so...
>not liking G
masterpiece of trolling and shitfail, i'd have to agree.
Do you know what you're talking about?
Because G is fucking shit.
Reading is hard.
Looks like someone hasn't watched The World God Only Knows. Megami-hen was AOTY 2013.
You shut your whore mouth.
Get some taste.
Horizon in the Middle of nowhere
If having taste means not enjoying things, then I'm fine with not having any.
Having taste means enjoying things that aren't complete garbage, like Symphogear G.
Then I don't want to have any taste.
>stop liking things I don't like
/a/'s definition is used as "something I don't like". He has justification.
You can like it, but don't pretend that rushed piece of shit is good.
Excuse me sir, but we're doing taste inspections today. I'm going to need you to step over h--oh. Oh, I'm so sorry. It seems you quite clearly have excellent taste. Please, carry on.
I am probably the only person that unironically thinks that the Endless Eight was a brilliant and incredibly risky gamble that didn't pay off, but is still fascinating to watch.
Conceptually Haruhi season 2 was better than season 1. Artistically season2 is better than season 1. Storywise Season 2 is a nightmare that claws at your soul for seven episodes.
The thing that gets me every time though, is the fact people will shit on the endless eight as being bad anime, when it is technically superior to most of season 1.
fuck off, that was miserable until Fuko showed up
>but is still fascinating to watch.
Crest/Banner of the Stars
No, just no.
They could have easily accomplished what they wanted to do with endless eight in 2 episodes. Conceptually it was a fucking utter disaster that any creator with half a brain should have seen coming. Artistically it was an interesting concept that was WASTED because of the execution.
I can only imagine people who honestly enjoy endless eight are masochists who hate the fanbase so much they're glad it actually happened.
In fact, that's probably the worst thing I could wish upon any animes fanbase, aside from cancellation, a rehashed endless eight.
>Artistically season2 is better than season 1
S2 is when they started drawing those typical KyoAni faces on characters. I cringe every time I see that shit.
never got into haruhi
whats endless 8 and why does it make people so mad?
Watching it and trying to see exactly where everything is different. When the last episode aired I couldn't really believe what they had done, so I immediately rewatched all eight in a row. Then I watched it again, trying to notice and appreciate how each episode was different.
Yu Yu Hakusho
It is one episode that had to be experienced to be understood.
Don't ask stupid questions; Lurk More.
Watch it yourself.
Full Metal Panic. Just a reminder that we'll never see Kyoani actually make decent use of their budget and talent again.
Pokemon is better now than it has ever been, but there were bad seasons in between.
>NTR: The season
naruto, srsly it never lets you down and damm it was glorious from de beginning
i stopped watching pokemon as a kid
I remember every single episode being the exact same thing but slightly different circumstances.
You fucking lazy newfag piece of shit, go watch it.
Basically it's the same episode 8 times. The cast is 'trapped' a time loop, because Miss Bitchtits McGee doesn't her enjoyable summer to end. Each episode is animated differently with slight changes to the script, but they mostly follow the same sequence of events, with the exception of the first (setting up the sequence to be repeated minus the revelation) and last (when the timeloop is broken because reasons). It lasted all summer, and the threads were pretty funny.
He isn't wrong. This season is actually really good. the animation is the best it has ever been, the stories have more depth, Ash's annual trap episode was very fappable.
I really want to stress the animation part. I don't know what they did to the budget, but it looks really really good this season.
I know this word gets thrown around a lot, but that is just your autism at work.
who the fuck cares what they did differently? it doesn't have any significance. showing a different perspective or angle doesn't fucking add anything to the series you slobbering autist.
so its like the episode "Trilogy of Error" in the Simpsons?
GTFO filthy dumb /co/ scum
>watching non chinese cartoons
>playing non chinese games
Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Endless Eight is just tedious. It's a poor man's Groundhog Day. At least in Groundhog Day he actually did different things every day. The eight days are way too similar to each other. Nagato even talked about how they did all sorts of different things (jobs, etc.), and yet we're forced to watch them do the same shit over and over again.
And don't even try to say that that was the point, that we're supposed to sympathize with Nagato or something. Having a stupid message is not worth boring the viewer THAT much. You can get messages across while still being entertaining (again, Groundhog Day).
Damn OP, maybe you should try watching some good anime some time.
Whoa dude! control that /a/utism.
I quite liked the second season of GITS.
Also I'm hoping new season of Mushishi is good. I'm quite optimistic they won't fuck it up, it's a pretty simple format.
>watching good anime
Best K-on song?
I used all the insert songs, excluding the nursery rhyme ones, and I included Heart Goes Boom!! because Mio technically sang it during the marathon episode and to have an even 20.
So far best song is in the lead.
Techincally this isn't a second season, but a series of OVAs.
...That said, they are off to a really really good start. the only thing wrong with it is how long we have to wait for the next one.
...You're right. Back to rewatching the first two episodes of Sakura Trick then?
Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
I kid~ But seriously, this story had the courtesy and good sense to end after just HALF a season. There's only so much unhappiness a person can take.
Birdy the Mighty
The 2nd season was way better than the first
