So /a/ what is the story of trigger? they are people that gainax kick out? gainax has some money problems?
All i know is that is a really new studio and that inferno cop and little witch academy are fantastic
Eva people = Khara
TTGL people = Trigger
also they weren't kicked out, they just up and left
more freedom to do what they want
didn't they already have that with Gainax?
I mean they did create the studio
why did they leave? also how is gainax now?
Gainax is royally fucked
Because the anime industry is the anime industry. Nobody wanted to greenlight original anime because it was safer to make adaptations since they already have an established consumer base.
it's true that they lost evangelion rigths or something like that?
(yes, i live under a rock)
Anno wanted to start making the Rebuild around the time Gainax had already greenlit production for TTGL. He wasn't going to take Imaishi's spotlight so he used his royalty money to start Khara.
I'm not sure why Imaishi and his gang left. They probably just wanted to have more creative freedom. All we know is that he took the rest of Gainax's creative talent with him.
Sometimes you gotta take the RISK
Do the math yourself. Gainax minus EVA staff minus TTGL staff equals...?
The answer is C3bu staff.
don't care for kill la kill
I'm waiting for LWA2 I gave them 500$
So that's why gainax did medaka? a shonen jump title was the safest move, now makes a lot of sense
Get a load of this chump
>adapting the least selling Jump title
It's a jump tittle shitty or not i will sell better that a lot of other crap
C3bu; A Comprehensive Guide on How To Shit the Bed by Gainax
The people who brought you Gunbuster, Eva, and Royal Space force came together in one studio just to rape Eva.
I think it's well deserved since nostalgiafags keep bitching about making remakes
Gainax as a company never owned the rights. Anno does.
They could still be great, but unfortunately they seem to lack structured leadership. All of their 'directors' for their last several shows are completely new and the shows utilize way too many different writers.
For instance, C3bu could've been something. Hell, it could've been many somethings. They had like several different narrative themes going on in a jumbled mess when they should've had one unified one--hell, even just two would've worked.
They took a yuri SoL series and threw in surrealism, introspection, and Eva-tier self-derision. But... none of these trees bear any fruit. Everything about C3bu gave me figurative blue balls. Rin has a stick up her ass in the beginning and just when you think her past is going to be important to the plot, suddenly she's perfectly fine and everything we suspected about her involvement with the sniper was a red herring.
Sonora is suspicious for the entirety of the series but she never fucking ACTS. She just stares broodingly out windows.
Rento was the only one with a consistent character.
C3bu would've been great if they didn't pussy out.
I'm pretty sure the only reason anyone finished watching that piece of trash was to see how it turned out for Rento and we hardly got that either.
It's sad how ignored this character was.
They prefered to make anime originals instead adaptation of LN and manga.
the market is saturated in adaptations
What's Gainax's outlook for this and next year?
I wasn't even interested in her at first, it was just that she was the only character with an established personality and I couldn't ignore that. Yura, Sonora, and Rin were sloppy characters and Karila/Tits/Sniperloli have no personality to speak of--they're just robots doing as their archetypes dictate.
>>Mahou Shoujo Taisen" is a project created from a variety show for the Otaku "2.5 Chigen TV" (2.5 Dimension TV). The characters are the mahou shoujo that represents each local town in Japan. The characters that won from the second illustration competitions that were held on pixiv will appear in the anime.
Aren't they making a mech original anime later this year?
Is this lower than DEEN tier?
You are doing God's work, anon.
One might even say that Gianax has lost its way
What about the Daikon thing? Are there even 1/4 of the original staff still at Gainax back from when they made this 30+ years ago?
Sadamoto's still around. But I think he's the only founder left.
And what the fuck happened to that Wings of Honneamise sequel? Been teasing me for over 20 fucking years with that shit. Get it together.
I didn't know this was a thing.
Are the founders estranged badly or are they just in different companies for all intents and purposes?
They all broke off at different intervals for different reasons. I think Wikipedia could answer that better than I.
They're dying and are trying to rekindle their flame by rehashing old shit.
It'd be much better if it never happened than if they tried to make it now just for money/the hell of it and produced something that tarnished the name of the original by association.
But they've been trying to make it since '91. That picture and this are from an artbook Sadamoto published in 1993. I'm just tired of this tease.
Good on you dude
God i didn't know gainax was this fuck
how long until they go Bankrupt?
if they continue this way they will be a low tier studio in 2 years
