So how did you cope after it finished /a/
I moved on with my life and realize that it wasn't that good in the first place.
Downloaded the game.
Felt like ending myself.
I moved on with my life than watched the movie.
I was pretty disappointed with the ending and started watching something else
Listened to the OP while just kinda staring at the ceiling.
Is it any good, or is it roughly what you'd expect from the anime?
I played the game first, then watched the anime, then the movie. Now I am playing Chaos;Head and I keep getting pissed off at the MC being retarded.
I was disappointed and could not understand why some people on /a/ seem to like it that much.
It's basically just another waifusimulator with some very weak time travel scifi.
Fapped to Kurisu a couple of times then forgot about it.
I thought it was shit for simple minded mouthbreathers so I rewatched Primer.
>Listened to the OP while just kinda staring at the ceiling.
Op here, that doesn't sound half bad.
I am more amazed at the fact that there are anime-only fags out there.
Expected: Primer, By His Bootstraps
Got: Hurr durr which of these gurls (yeah, I know) du you want to fuck
And who said that everyone here is Anime-only. 11/10 made me post.
I was satisfied considering that they had a stable timeloop without any plotholes.
He didn't say that, though.
I celebrated the end of the gaia-tier threads.
That picture made me laugh.
I figure this is a good thread as any to ask.
What's up with the semi-colon in S;G, C;H, and R;N?
By touching myself to the characters.
It's a subtle hint that they're shit.
S;G has the shittiest plot ever. Why didn't Okabe just try sending a message like "Yo, past me. You know that Moeka bitch? Give her a smack".
Just japanese people thinking its cool. And it allows a common naming theme in the series.
But Moeka is moe
Second most annoying character.
Nigga, do you even Gamma world line?
People in this thread are trolling.
I didn't cope. I'm still depressed. I'm currently waiting for Reading Steiner to translater the 5th Anniversary Jubilee so I can see the Kurisu manga and the crossover novel.
this picture makes me feel bad. Maybe this is what its like to see porn that includes only one character in your OTP
>Fun, flexible college setting
>Next games in the series is just high school garbage
I got into the rest of the SciADV series, of course. Stinks that a lot of stuff is untranslated though.
>tfw you will never be as based as Hououin Kyouma
I liked the Chaos;Head/Steins;Gate crossover short story. Was amusing.
Chaos;Head was high school too, and Steins;Gate was barely a college setting.
It's okay Anon. We're all still dead inside.
Guess I'm not surprised.
Still a little disappointing. I was hoping that there'd be some sort of ART related bullshit explanation attached to it.
>college is mentioned like 3 times in the entire series
It was the originally cancer that's killing /a/ ever after.
Well the anime only really explored the kurisu and perfect ending routes, its well worth it to see all the other endings and routes you can take.
Apparently people HATE chaos;head, which I'm guessing has some relation to this series? I haven't watched it, why so much hate for it?
The main plot is the same. But the VN fleshes out the story a shitton more and provides more routes.
It's the same stupid bullshit, but with inferior waifus.
Jesus Christ, this. Anyone who wasn't fucking summer steered clear of anything to do with this cancerous show.
They fucked up the Anime. Play the VN, or Read the LN. Anything's better than watching it.
Madoka was airing at the same time so it didn't phase me so much.
They are not that related except being in the same universe and series. In Chaos;Head you take the role of an delusional otaku who is as worthless as it gets, complete with social phobia and all. He is not fun at all to follow.
Why deny yourselves of a decent Anime due to it's autistic fanbase.
>Madoka was airing at the same time
You just outed yourself, newfag.
Most loved S;G when it aired. Then it hit the normals. Then we "hate" it and pretend we never liked it. Now we're at the stage that people actually believe the previous never happened and we always hated it just because normals like it. Rinse and repeat with every show that get popular. SnK is an exception because of obvious reasons.
I didn't do much after the show itself except for wait for the OVA and movie but after the movie I tried going through all the spinoff material I could and plan on playing the official translation of the VN eventually.
>Dat jab at groundhog day
>Dat mental deterioration
Yes. This is what I want in Time travelling.
>i'm so mature I can't stand highschool garbage because i'm too mature for that shit
>even if there's no difference or actual relevance to the setting and they just do some shit and claim it to be science
Don't try so hard, kid.
I draw a line when the fanbase is filled with the combined forces of MAL, /jp/ and gaia.
You little shit. I am tired of highschool, Highschool uniforms, Insecure teenages and all that jazz.
While I believe that Kurisu is best SciADV, Chaos;Head has a number of great girls. Ayase, Kosu-pii, Nanami, and Sena are all great.
Plenty of people shitted on S;G while it was still airing. Personally, I only had enough reason to hate it after I saw the cancer that accompanied the last episode (Dr Pepper collage faggotry, for example).
>Fags spouting El psy congroo everywhere
>People roleplaying chuuni shit
>Dr pepper everywhere
Dear god it was horrible.
Mayuri being that hot feels very weird.
>i'm saw some titles
>now i'm gonna whine about my insecurities because it's such a shock for me
If you didn't overcome this you better find yourself new hobbie my newfriend.
I didn't because there was nothing for me to cope over. The anime was mediocre. And even if I did like it, it didn't end on a depressing note.
You are not even hiding what was mentioned in that post.
Just find a new hobby.
After finishing the VN/anime I began drinking Dr.Pepper despite me thinking it tastes like shit. Is this the ultimate form of product placement?
What the fuck are you even saying. The most common ass setting is high school, that gets tiring. Damn dipshits.
It's called being the ultimate gullible sheep.
No, it's just you being a gaiafag.
Look at this thread filled with cool guys. はいはいワロスワロス。
Get the VN now
Fleshes out and explains loads more stuff, and the other routes are good.
Even Kurisu gets lots of new dialogue.
Sending random D-mails could just make catastrophical changes that prevent Okabe from time leaping more. The safest bet was to be safe and undo the D-Mails he already sent. It was already a miracle that none of the D-mails he already sent did not remove the Microphone oven or his friends.
I had my first Dr. Pepper after playing Steins;Gate but that shit is delicious, I guess /a/nons are forever cursed to have shit taste(buds)
Not that person, but I watched Madoka, I liekd it and idgaf if /a/ hates it like the second coming of antichrist.
I saw this pic before the anime and couldn't help but keep imagining Mayoushi as a spurdo
Robotics;Notes was so bad.
He should probably wait for the official release, it's gonna be a lot better than what we have now.
It provides actual explanations about how the stuff actually works, and there is even an extra explanation for people like mayuri to undersrtand.
While not the best, I don't think it was that bad. And I hear that the VN is actually good, the anime was just a mediocre adaptation.
I wish it would be actually about Okarin being crazy MAD scientist and some crazy stuff he did on accident.
Like really, it's one of those things that got the best premise but the wrong direction, all this silly drama and time travel was boring and dissapointing, for such crazy premise it turns out to be so bland and boring, a shame.
>/a/ hates it like the second coming of antichrist.
You're a fucking idiot if you think the majority of /a/ hates Madoka. The people who do hate it weren't here for the airing and their opinion isn't worth shit.
You're a fucking idiot.
Poor Faris, she need a hug ;_;
For me, I'm gonna buy it when it releases. A wet dream of mine is that the SciAdv series becomes larger.
Am I the only one that liked Kai?
This from the Babel manga?
went and played a different VN. (Grisaia as far as I remember.)
I feel really good for watching it, but not really that satisfied. The same feeling after finished watching [C].
I even started to re-watch it on english dub, which was not that half bad considering english kurisu was decent and hack voice was less annoying.
Then I find out there was a movie and watch it.
I regret watching it and feel really disappointing even more. So disappointing I would send a D-Mail to myself to not watch it
What if the next game after Chaos;Child is about someone on the Commitee of 300?
Op here. Kai was pretty based. It's a shame the Anime was as great as i'd hoped. But i enjoyed it nonetheless.
Yeah, it has to get onto Steam and go mainstream so that I can be hipster about it!
Still, as cancerous as it may be, a Steam release would only help the series since it'll sell well without a doubt, and allow for untranslated stuff to be localized.
Coca Cola cherry>Dr.Pepper anyway
It's from Babel vol 3
Why do people rag on the movie so much? It was a nice closure.
Drowned my sorrows in Dr Pepper.
How the fuck are they stretching it out that much? The first volume covered over half of the drama CD!
Either due to waiting or hyping it up they had unreasonable expectations or they thought it was too short.
Nigga, I just want the whole series to be translated and released overseas. And that the creators get more budget with their future projects. If Vns as a whole got more popular then that would be cool as well.
More importantly, halfway into the anime why didn't Okabe just sent a d-mail to himself saying something along the lines of "don't let anyone but you use time travel under any circumstances or shit will hit the fan" after they lost the computer and a bunch of other stuff? It kept bugging me throughout the show. I haven't tried playing the VN yet though so maybe that explains more than the show did.
Coca cola Vanilla is superior.
Maybe it sold well, milking intensifies.
That's not how D-mails work. In the new world lines, they only get received, not sent.
Coca cola Vanilla is superior.
>Put fingers in my throat
>Puke in glass
>Free Vanilla Coke
Too bad its discontinued here.
Dr. Pepper Cherry>Coke Cherry>Dr. Pepper>Coke
Cherry make everything taste better!
D-mails just sends mails. It's no guarantee that the person in question will obey or follow the advice.
About to watch the S;G movie. Is it worth it, do i back out?
I obtained a fetish for sex through spanx, and fapped to the show for about a month, then moved on.
Do watch it if you need more character interaction. If not, then no.
I played the vn, watched all endings, watched the movie but have yet to finish the three last episodes of the anime.
Since then I changed my phone ringtone to Over the Sky, added a lot of the songs to my playlist so I can listen to them everyday, and I miss Suzuha so much why cant she be real?! ;_;
The relationship between Kurisu and Okabe is profound.
Okabe was really messed up in that ending. Really, thinking about raping Suzuha over Kurisu?
I played the VN.
Nothing weird there
Okabe has good taste on women
I told my brother to watch it because I thought he would like it. No coping necessary because I ain't a bitch.
I started doing stupid shit like emulating Kyoumas laugh, drinking dr.pepper, mimicking his chuuni bullshit.
I regret it.
You're right, he does.
By pic related.
The problem with VNs is that a lot of them are eroges, and that'll throw a bunch of people off. As good as it is, Saya no Uta is never gonna be big.
We never got to see her belly.
When is that coming out?
It doesn't have to be on steam. Though I do think it would be nice. I would want VNs to grow.
No set release date, but it should be within the next 2 months or so.
February 28th, I heard.
That was just a placeholder date by Rightstuf, JAST themselves never said anything.
I think it showed in the anime, but it was pretty average
In the vn Mister Braun comment made me think it was pretty muscular
Damn why is she explaining this to Kurisu?
>Saya no Uta will never get an anime
Makise Kurisu – “I-I’m not tsundere, you baka!” She is super tsundere for Okabe, which the writers try to play off as “Oh, haha, she knows what tsundere is, which makes her character unique!” No, it doesn’t. It just brings attention to her trite characterization.
Feyris – “Hey guys, I’m an otaku! I add ‘nyan’ to everything I say and I hardly appear in the series!” This dumb cunt sees Okabe as her personal prince for reasons unexplained. Also, Okabe killed her dad, so it’s like ~bitch, why you so stupid~
Mayuri – “Tuturu!” She is literally mentally handicapped. And not in a high-functioning way. It’s more like a “When is she start going to play tag with her friend Mr. Train?” which makes the arc where she constantly dies unintentionally hilarious.
Good, there's no way they could make an anime without censoring EVERYTHING.
Don't forget daddy problems for Kurisu.
When are they going to milk Faris's negative world line?
Yeah, besides that. I was just saying that JAST never announced a specific date.
The VN is far superior. I watched the anime while playing it to compare.
The art and voice acting to start with. Then how the anime shortened the story wasn't executed well, either. Atmosphere, suspense and music was also a lot better in the VN.
The only thing the anime had going for it were the animated comedy scenes that were obviously missing in the VN.
Literally everything else was better in the VN.
Hopefully soon, that could actually be interesting.
While I do overall agree with you, the anime had some nice original tracks like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU141DnPDqo
Also, some of the scenes that had more movement benefited from the anime, which was often restricted due to sprites.
Why do VNs have the voices deeper than their anime adapatations in general? Is it because they were recorded earlier or something.
Feyris saw that Kurisu was interested in Doctor Nakabachi and I forget the reason but she showed Kurisu an audio diary revealing that Kurisu's father and Feyris's father were close friends in college. Even better, they were both students of Suzuha.
Kurisu was already battling feelings of forlornness because Okabe told her she was going to die if he un-did the final D-Mail.
Early, a flashback shows that Kurisu, at age 11, refuted her father's time travel thesis and her father responded by saying he wish she was never born. The audio diary shows that Kurisu's father clung to Suzuha's concept of time travel and made it his dream.
Characteristically, Shouichi was a LOT like Okabe (leading Kurisu to remark she's a total fathercon) before the whole world took a shit on him. Kurisu now believes she deserves to die for robbing him of that dream. It really hits home when he says in the tape that he would love to witness Kurisu's birth again.
New place holder date is March 31, so never.
Mayuri was higher pitched in the VN.
Again, that's really just a placeholder date. JAST themselves still haven't said anything.
The relationships between all the characters were so badly done in the anime and most scenes weren't there at all, not to mention the alternative story routes and endings. I think anyone who enjoyed the anime should give the VN at least a try.
You're right, I should have said why do the voices in the VN version tend to sound different than their anime adaptions.
Holy shit, what the fuck. Suzuha ruined her family.
At least a part of it is different voice direction. Some scenes that line up have different acting. One example off the top of my head is in the epilogue when Okabe and Kurisu meat again. In the VN, Kurisu sounds happy while Okabe is nervous. In the anime, it's kind of the other was around.
They were recorded at different times. Which naturally leads to different performances. No VA can be 100% consistent.
JAST are the masters of delaying.
I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
i really liked the textured art style in the VN, it's kinda offputting to see everything so flat in the anime
other way around*
And actually, here are the scenes for comparison:
Skip to the end of the second one.
It was made by Huke, one of the illustrators of the Metal gear solid series after all.
>The audio diary shows that Kurisu's father clung to Suzuha's concept of time travel and made it his dream.
Well in the end it's his fault for sucking and being a horrible person after everything hit.
His main work on his own is actually Black Rock Shooter. Great art, but the OVA/anime weren't too good...
Nakabachi is supposed to be a victim of circumstance. While yes, he shouldn't be excused for his actions, people can only go through so much before they break.
If Chaos;Child's MC is some Takumi v2 then I am gonna cry. Takumi was so shit.
>people can only go through so much before they break.
He was pretty delicate, unlike Okabe.
Takumi was great.
But anyway, it sounds like the protag isn't gonna be socially anxious since he diligently goes to school and is the president of a club.
Okabe was able to get a happy ending in the end, and even then he suffered from PTSD.
>Takumi was great.
I am at the beginning of the VN and I just cringe so much at the shit he does.
But he still went through some insane shit.
I'd say the difference was that Okabe had the Phone Microwave so he was able to keep hope, while Nakabachi just had life shitting on him and there wasn't much he could do about it.
Also, Okabe had Kurisu and the others helping and supporting him along the way, while Nakabachi's friends died.
>while Nakabachi's friends died.
I..What? He was ridiculed by his fellow scientists sure, but his friends killed?
I liked the VN version better for that scene voice acting wise.
I get what you mean. It takes some getting used to, but it really is charming. They've shown in one of the OPs they were able to imitate it as well.
His friends in Alpha were Faris' dad and Hashida Suzu.
His comrades in making a time machine were >>100492195, and they both died leaving him all alone. Then, when he finally got somewhere, Kurisu came and proved him wrong, getting him ridiculed by the community for being outsmarted by a kid, even though she was a prodigy, along with crushing his dreams at the same time.
I just want Okabe and Kurisu to be happy.
Changing timelines does not kill anyone. It works like the riddle of "If a tree falls in a forest and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?" It all depends if there is an observer or not.
What are you talking about? Those two died to begin with.
Nevermind, I misread.
What the fuck.
Alright. And with that riddle, the tree makes a sound no matter what, it doesn't matter if there's an observer or not.
I would cream that Christmas cake if you know what i mean.
Suzuha became a professor? What the fuck...
What manga is this?
A physics professor, of course.
Forgot the exact name, but it's an adaptation of the first drama CD.
You will never know whether it makes a sound or not unless someone is there to witness it. It's the same principle of schrodingers cat. If somebody witnesses something, then it becomes real.
We do know through science. And schrodingers cat was made to ridicule the principle.
Babel of the Grieved Maze.
That is how Reading Steiner works.
To a certain extent. Kurisu points out that it would pretty much make Okabe a God if it was completely true, and Okabe doesn't have to be alive for things to keep going.
>Okabe doesn't have to be alive for things to keep going.
But the point is that Okabe can observe the changes. Whereas the other can not. Which is the the key here.
The others can at least notice something is different though. And it's not only if Okabe tries to remind them or anything.
played blazblue, mained tsubaki, listened to her moan every day, fapped hard after every loss.
other things? rape men? what else is there besides raping women?
This image was the reasonI watched this show. I was not disappoint.
Doesn't have to be with women. How fun would it be to go out and blow shit up?
By moving on to another anime.
but you can get caught or killed blowing stuff up or going on killing sprees before you can get to your magic microwave telephone.
You can also be reported to the police about raping someone beforehand.
I killed myself
I ordered Kurisu figures.
I liked her too bad she doesn't get any romantic build up in her route.
They notice through vague deja vu or dreams. Not nearly the same as okabe. The point is that just by being able to observe the changes, okabe becomes a god.
I myself now have the Koto scale, the nendo, and the figma.
Well his power does have a huge drawback, he can't remember what he did on different world lines.
>Fapping to Kurisu
He is perfectly aware of what he did in the past worldlines. Did you read the VN?
How could you not?
What he means is that when Okabe goes to a new worldline, he doesn't know about the past of that one.
So did you guys actually see cancerous people being faggots about this show, or any other one for that matter, in real life? I've never seen a sperglord full on weebing the fuck out in public like that.
Bumping with HNNNG
And the last page.
Holy shit man, this crap almost gave me a heart attack fuck you.
What do you mean?
How about another comic?
Daru looks way to thin. When he tones done, he's still bear mode
Noted its shitty time travel mechanics, poor character choices and motivations, realized it was a big shaggy dog story with irrelevant characters, and wondered why all the retards got it backwards as usual and said the second half was better when the first half was far superior before people started undoing what little development there was.
The only reason this show is treated as better than C;H is because Okabe is such a fun protag.
And last page.
>shaggy dog story
Stopped reading there.
Yeah, shaggy dog stories are never worth reading. Well done, anon.
I finished it literally 5 minutes ago. I'm happy how it ended. Now I can sleep in peace.
>I regret it.
You fucking should faggot
Jesus christ, were you fifteen three years ago?
Why the fuck
That's funny Kurisu becomes his pet.
You`re beyond salvation I`m afraid.
Reported your faggot ass for hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng-inducing image. Enjoy your ban, faggot.
Anything>Shit>>>>>Coca Cola Cherry
Seriously, that shit is disgusting.
So what did people think of the movie? I liked all the goofy shenanigans, but hated the actual plot. Just felt like it trivialized everything Okabe did throughout the main story and felt too tacked on for me to enjoy it.
No because those people don't actually exist.
Words like "fanbase", or "irc" are just an imaginary boogeyman for sperglords to get upset about.
How do you feel it trivialized things?
>you will never age as gracefully as Okabe and Daru
>you will never attract teenage girls, past, present or future
>you will never marry a cute neuroscientist who still remains cute at age 40 and spontaneously grows cat ears and tail
Yeah, I would have preferred an hour and a half of everyday shenanigans of Okabe and friends (with Kurisu flying over to Japan to join them of course) to what we got.
Also, why the FUCK wasn't Alpaca Man included here?
You don't know the true story of Alpacaman?
Because Okabe worked his ass off to get his happy ending while throwing away everyone elses happiness in the process. To then go on and say "nah, he didn't suffer enough." after all that just to make him disappear and return 30 minutes later felt tacked on as fuck to me.
Some people actually thought the series had too happy of an ending.
Alpaca man is from alpha world line.
Honestly, I just went and watched something else. Maybe it's just because I've seen time travel in action multiple times before but the whole show was a bit underwhelming.
Also, while the story was never translated, "Holy Day of Scourge", which was published in 2010, showed that Okabe was suffering from PTSD several months after the events of the visual novel.
That's perfectly fine to me. Having him disappear from existence because LOLREADINGSTEINER was just stupid.
I don't get how that worked either.
Moved along to a new one.
Time travel is impossible in the first place, so its not completely crazy at that point to have him change timelines simply based on his memories shifting due to him thinking about events that transpired in the other timelines. He basically becomes a slider instead of a time traveler. Think of it like Kyon from Haruhi.
In universe it doesn't make any sense though. All of the changes Okabe ever made to the world lines was through physical changes, not through him having memories of other world lines.
I lived happily ever after with my waifu.
Fapped to Christina doujins.
You mean Zombie?
I don't like how Daru got treated like a broken spare wheel.
That's exactly how it is in the VN, actually.
I actually thought that the movie was about Kurisu leaping back in time in order to prevent Okabe from suiciding due to PTSD.
I still don't like that. This sunohara-syndrome needs to stop.
read future honey then.
I hope the R;N game comes to the West someday.
I'm looking forward to the day /a/ can experience Phenogram.
Terror everywhere, shots fired, people killing themselves over canon.
REAL spoilers ahead
He learned sewing to cope with Mayuri's death, sewed the Alpacaman himself, and had delusions of Mayuri telling him to save the world. She was actually dead all the time, but the VN doesn't tell you.
I guess I should just learn moonrunes at this fucking point. No more shall be a slave to the benevolent translators.
as one of these benevolent translators I give you a heads up, do it man, the less people I have to please the more I can indulge in gaming.
R;N VN is coming in the mail any time soon, so I need 52 hours somehow. And those other Phenogram routes don't play themselves.
Takumi > Okashit
Takumi is awful though. Certainly entertaining, but Okabe is both a better character and more entertaining protagonist.
Takumi is a real man who does not abide by standards of society.
Daru's dick is NOT that big.
How do you know? Yuki did say she likes 'em big.
Best imouto, I hope we get more of her in the future. Hopefully in Chaos;Child...
The OVA was so fucking shit, why the hell did they make that crap?
Because people would be too sad if they animated Holy Day of Scourge.
Which year does Chaos;head take place?
2009, one year before Steins;Gate.
I didn't watch it.
It was what, 2009 C;H>2010 S;G>2015 R;N, right?
Robotics;Notes was 2019-2020. Chaos;Child is gonna be 2015, filling in the gap between Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes.
I wonder what the theme of C;C will be. Mysterious tatoos? Will it be horror?
Yes, it's gonna be horror like Chaos;Head, and mysterious sumo seals are showing up all around Shibuya.
Note that these were actually put all around in Shibuya by someone back in 2009.
It's noids. Noids everywhere.
Is the atmosphere going to complete shit on itself midway through like Chaos; Head too?
Only one way to find out! And I liked the part right after Takumi found out the truth and he went all suicidal, that was pretty well done.
I still don't understand why people keep saying it devolves into shounenshit. There's like that one scene where he finally gets his Di-Sword and gains the right to be badass. Then after that it goes right back into insane delusional stuff for the leadup to the final confrontation. My opinion may be somewhat tainted from playing Route B most recently, though.
Route B was depressing as hell. And I would also love to read the heroine routes from Noah one day, I hear they really add a lot...
There was this and the Seira thing (although that one was more creepyish than shonenshit). And even the final battle had that fucking impalement scene and Taku going nuts (maybe) an stripping Rimi.
That part I didn't really mind, because, I agree, he definitely deserved to wreck those three people hard after what he suffered. The final confrontation on the other hand was so silly. The delusion attacks from Norose were good, but him turning into some kind of jelly blob of human through delusions was so bananas crazy. I didn't hate it, but you have to admit it was out of nowhere.
Also, this >>100522755 The Suwa and Seira thing was kind of silly, too.
What do you mean? All Taku did was turn Norose's jelly delusion against him. And turning off his sense of pain was pretty smart.
Also, I don't mind >>100522755 so much because fuck Suwa. Seriously, fuck him.
can someone summarize this anime, i watched a few random episodes and was very bored
does it do anything out of the ordinary with time travel or is it same old x character is y thing
Whose eyes are those eyes
I want to touch Feyris's hair.
Sono me, dare no me?
watched more anime
There's never going to be an updated patch for Chaos; Head that fixes the various bugs and save issues, is there?
I want to __fuck__ Faris and hear her whisper into my ear with her cute voice.
Sure seems rough being delusional
I love Faris, cause I played the VN and I kinda liked her there.
Probably not. Pray that Steins;Gate will sell well and we'll get Chaos;Head Noah.
Still, from all the rules of delusions they'd set forth at that point, it was just so weird. I realize Taku is basically half god, but still. He was getting beasted by a bunch of Seiras one scene before.
Yeah, I totally got the idea in my head that he was Adachi pretty early on, but hoped he wasn't. Ban was a good guy, I really liked his character.
You're not alone.
I want to take a picture with Kozu-pii...
Ban was fucking great. And it was the jelly delusion that gave him the idea.
I'm tempted to buy it for the dumb bonus shit like the pins, but I'm really scared that Jast is going to fuck it up by localizing shit even more than the fan translation already does. The shit Funi did in the anime was already bad enough.
But he's an otaku! His waifu is his biggest weakness.
filters on the character art looks stupid
Funny thing is Chaos;Head actually came out 3 months before Persona 4.
It's the same team that did the fan translation. It's still Black Winkel, Reading Steiner, and the others. It also helps that there's the tips, which allows for more obscure stuff.
For me it was the other way around, since I played Chaos;Head before going through Persona 4. I guessed Adachi pretty early on because of that.
Even with the issues with tips in the fan version some of the translation choices were just odd to me. The biggest one being the localization of "chuuni" to "pretentious hipster bullshit" while leaving in a bunch of Japanese terms anyway.
That was always just a placeholder, I believe they're making it "childish delusions" or something.
Ban really was great. Of all the characters to send to the Planet Made of Cake and they choose him. Also, I guess that makes sense, but still.
Halfway through, it didn't even seem like he minded though. He was getting rocked, too. You do have a point though.
What are you talking about? This is Huke's art style. Or are you talking about something else?
That's pretty hilarious how they both had the same kind of character archetypes for cop partners.
While Ban was a great character, when you look back, he was pretty much 100% exposition and he had a very minimal effect on the plot.
there is digital filter / grain / something applied to the art after it is finished
it looks stupid
Adachi and Suwa weren't exactly the same. Adachi acted like an idiot for most of the game while Suwa acted like a normal upstanding person.
Reposting pastebin for those that are interested: http://pastebin.com/DAzu9MaK
Suwa did still give off that "ignorant" vibe, though.
Yeah, I was going to include in my post that I was upset about that, but I got rid of it. He really didn't do anything, except possibly change Momose's reaction in the end scenes of the story, but even that wasn't that important. It's actually really upsetting that he was that minor since half the game, you're watching what he's doing. Maybe 1/4 is closer.
Are we talking about Huke's artstyle? I'm a bit biased on this, because I love his artstyle, so I can't really see where the hate is coming from. Although, I do hate a few artstyles myself for arbitrary reasons, not that yours is arbitrary.
Well, I didn't say they were the exact same, but yeah they're both different from each other. Dojima is more fatherly and kind of a drunk while Ban is more on top of his case and won't back down until it's done and doesn't have a wife in the Planet Made of Cake. Still funny that they were both released around the same time.
At the very least, it's because of Ban that Takumi figured out Suwa's identity, since he "saw" when Ban was killed. That's still a pretty weak justification, I suppose.
Momose... read the Chaos;Head Noah route summaries: http://pastebin.com/8XbzsBtv
I want to but I'm still holding out for a full translation... BELIEVE
I'm not the one you quoted, by the way
Hey! I already posted it twice in this thread!
Also, I was thinking of adding a bit of a guide to this pastebin, like a short description on what each thing is (like Noah is a director's cut of Chaos;Head and so on). You guys think it would be something worthwhile?
It's rough, mang. I thought the reveal that he'd been watching everything that's been going on was awesome. I'd been thinking why the narrator of all of that when a character wasn't speaking was strangely like Takumi, but why would it be Takumi if he isn't the one thinking it?
Sounds like a plan for tomorrow. Thank you for this, though, I definitely had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to read up on the route summaries, but couldn't even remember where to get them.
The more info the pastebin has, the better. That might just be me though.
I love how it ends up making Chaos;Head completely first person, which is the norm for visual novels. Bit of a bait and switch there.
Oh, another thing I was going to type then completely forgot while writing up that post was how I thought it was also really cool when it's revealed Takumi created Taku and so his early comments when he's playing Ensue and thinks about if there's a player controlling him and such were actually pretty much reality.
Definitely worth the read for a lot of the things they put into Chaos;Head. Although, I kind of wish they spaced out the delusion triggers so as to make someone not realize fully what they do. The first few times I did the delusion triggers, I had absolutely no idea what they did and had no idea what was going on and I think if I still had no idea what was going on at chapter 7 or 9 or somewhere later, it would've made it that much more terrifying to read. Can't be helped, I guess. Maybe I'm in the minority of people that didn't figure out what it was doing for awhile though, I don't know.
So do you think the way Suwa's identity was revealed was a bit of a cop-out? Pun intended. Should Takumi have found out first-hand?
Then again, that could have ended up like Route B... not sure how I feel about that.
>his early comments when he's playing Ensue and thinks about if there's a player controlling him and such were actually pretty much reality.
You could also say it's pretty meta, since he's the main character of a visual novel.
That's not lampshaded as much as that early scene in Steins;Gate, though.
YOU, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MONITOR
I haven't read route B.
Honestly, at that point, Suwa had no reason to not try and outright kill the Gigalomaniacs and just forget his facade entirely. He probably could've gotten a free kill on Takumi if he did though, if Takumi didn't have overpowered abilities.
We're getting a little too deep here.
I'm pretty sure after the first part, Takumi does directly speak to the player or the gaze. I was ignorant back then, so it might've been the "gaze", but I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be the player.
It's hard to go back to the anime after getting used to Huke's style. I'm glad that so many of the figures used Huke's style over the White Fox's.
Suwa was still trying to get Taku's CODE sample at that point.
I love it so much, mang. I do have a problem with some of his off-model portraits in the VN though. It's just me being picky for the most part, but some of the portraits or CGs are a bit hard to look at. He's definitely improved since the original VN though, which is good. Pic related is something that's good, but her face looks kind of weird. I dunno, I'm just really picky with stuff.
I forgot about that, but then why would he going full on Dio on him? Also, the amount of knives in him as well as being bashed by the head by Seira's mace/club was a bit much. I can usually forgive some overly harmful attacks, but those two were pushing it a bit. Surviving either of those just seemed silly. Taku is pretty overpowered though.
This was the worst I've seen so far. I'm at the start of chapter 10 now and I'd like to finish it tonight. I only have 5ish hours left, right?
Have you been using a guide to get the true ending?
Probably around there, unless you get the true end. (You probably won't, unless you have a guide.) That scene actually doesn't make me upset, funny enough. Okay, maybe Kurisu does a little bit. Some scenes are just so off-model it hurts.
Did Kurisu eat too much WacTikald's? Too much King Burger? What happened?
I don't care, she could stand to gain some weight.
By the way, I know she's supposed to be bent over and looking at Okabe/Daru/Mayuri in this scene, but it's just done so poorly.
Even 8-bit conversion doesn't help!
Where is that from?
It was in 8-bit? I don't remember seeing it. Where exactly was it in the game?
It was in the sound test. After you beat the game, on the title screen you can type "sound mode" (among other things) to access it.
This one picture I have of her has her drawn slightly chubby and it's not too bad. She is pretty skinny, yeah, could put on a few pounds, but the picture is just so horribly off-model.
Actually, that looks a lot nicer to me. Looks like she's waving though, which is kind of funny.
No no, it's a different VN. Different story, plays like an old adventure game, too, where you enter things like "look Kurisu" or "talk Mayuri" and such. Haven't played it myself, but I hear it's good stuff.
I'm really not a fan of using guides, unless you're practically forced to(fuck you Kara no Shoujo), so I'm just going blind for now. I'll probably go back and use one to get True End afterwards.
Yeah, I already played and beat 8-bit. It was hilarious, especially Suzuha's situation. I actually fell out of my chair at that part...
Oh yeah, you're getting the default ending for sure. That'll only be another 2-3 hours from where you are.
Yeah, sorry, I misread your comment and then realized after the guy replied to you that I'm dumb.
You're practically forced. One of Chaos;Head's endings is even more crazy to get.
I went and marathoned Terminator and Back to the Future.
Yeah, the B ending was crazy, but at least all the delusions have a theme and you can get it through some trial and error. Still, the true ending can be somewhat annoying too, since there's always one of those questions that trips people up.
I did use a guide for Chaos; Head. Was it just the one where Takumi doesn't die? I really can't remember much about the endings aside from being really underwhelmed by them.
It's kind of interesting, I'm pretty sure there's also some music in the sound test that never shows up anywhere else in the game. (Mainly cell phone ringtones, I guess.)
At least the way you can get Chaos;Head's B ending can be summarized in a single sentence. A phrase, even.
There's an alternate ending that you unlock after you beat the game the first time. You get it by seeing all the Whose Eyes Are Those Eyes Delusions, and then the last hour or so is an alternate ending that mainly reveals new stuff about New Gen and then makes you feel like shit in the best way possible.
The movie was utter shit.
Who wants to bet they're gonna make the events important in future SciADV titles?
Pretty much the only lasting thing that happened in the movie was character development. And that's being generous.
I take that back, there was also the whole deja vu theory, which I could see them reusing.
And the existence of the R world line.
Maybe Suzuha is wrong and it's not actually a real world line.
The show was bad.
I still played the game for an unknown reason and it also was bad.
I'm pretty sure I answered one thing wrong at the ending of Chaos;Head and got worst ending. It was a bit upsetting. I'm pretty sure it was the "I am you" question. Actually, "I'm a delusionary existence" one sounds like one you'd want to answer no to, but you answer yes??
Speaking of choices, do the choices you make at the beginning with the swimsuit thing affect that one cutscene with Ayase where there are two of her?
Yeah, Ayase can be in a swimsuit or her lingerie. And the glasses on affects the nurse. And the "I'm a delusionary existence" is what I was referring to that trips people up, it was supposed to be Taku accepting himself while most people think that he's more than just that.
Oh, you haven't seen the worst ending. Not by a long shot.
And yes, the swimsuit question affects that scene. And the glasses question affects whether the nurse wears glasses or not. [spoilers]Which totally makes sense considering the identity of Grim. Just think about it.[/spoiler:lit]
I also like how the VN pretty much goes "That's your fetish? WELL HERE IT FUCKING IS, HAPPY NOW?"
At least, that's what I thought the writers were going for.
He is more than that, though. He's our Taku, he's us. Also, I didn't know the glasses thing affect the nurse, strange. Who didn't choose glasses though.
Oh. Not so strange anymore. And, yeah, I still need to read the other two endings. One day.
That part was so out of left field for me. I knew the nurse was some kind of working for the bad guy, but then it's just describing the New Gen cases in detail with this CG up. I just wasn't expecting ahegao from a SciAdv VN.
Even though I got all the girl route endings (since you probably watch the anime before reading the VN, it's kinda easy to figure out that the Suzu ending is the first one to appear and then it comes the Fairis one and so on), I was actually really lost at first while trying to get the Kurisu ending, thinking it was the last ending I needed to finalise the game. pretty much the only hint the VN gave me was the achievement for making friends with Kurisu via e-mail, so probably to trigger the flags of the Kurisu route I needed more e-mails from Kurisu... I managed to get the Kurisu ending, but of course after the conclusion of it, I knew it wasn't the last one... and in all honesty I ended up using a guide, because the 2 or 3 combinations I tried to use didn't change the outcome at all.
I kinda felt worried at some point before and while reading the true ending though, because while searching for guides and other info, I came in a lot of posts of people who got crashes at pretty much the last lines of the true ending or that didn't got the necessary flag e-mails from Kurisu even though they replied correctly, I really regretted that I didn't give this a chance while it aired, but in the end the anime isn't in any way as enjoyable as the VN wa for me, so I'm glad that I watched it recently and read the entire VN without any problems besides the true ending triggering.
Yeah, I think they were going for dissonance there. They took something that would normally be fap material and put it in something disgusting and horrifying.
>They took something that would normally be fap material and put it in something fap worthy.
So, you like guro with fetuses then? Whatever floats your boat I suppose...
I got a few crashes, nothing game-breaking, and a few times where no text would even show up and had to go through the backlog to see what the characters were saying. I asked Blick about that one and he said that should be fixed with the next text and everything. Good job on getting the Kurisu ending without a guide though.
I completely forgot about the fetus removal thing. I was only thinking of the brain removal. Man, that was something.
Probably one of the things that blew my mind the most in Chaos;Head was later in the story when sometimes choosing a delusion trigger you wouldn't get the usual delusion-entering animation... and sometimes the "delusion" you get isn't a delusion at all. So great.
Darling VN is actually more entertaining, I'd like to see it translated before phenogram.
Completely agree. When Rimi appeared, I was actually half terrified that she was just suddenly in the room and half upset that this delusion was really long. But then it wasn't a delusion. This was the point at which there were an overflowing amount of questions and an immense lack of answers.
Yeah, I love how they mixed up delusion and reality. Really fitting too, if you ask me.
I think JAST fairly recently announced localization of a fandisk for one of their eroge that sold well. It's really too bad Darling isn't on PC though, I can't see them giving it the same treatment for that reason alone.
Yeah, Steins;Gate is the only one that's on PC. (Chaos;Head doesn't count since Noah is out). Maybe Nagato has the skills to make a PC port...
The real question is whether 5pb. would accept that. Though I'd prefer a fan translation over nothing, of course.
If Steins;Gate sells well, I can't see them turning it down, especially if we make the port, since that's less money for them to spend.
I played the game
Maybe. I just know they've been heavily opposed to making PC versions of their games ever since the buggy Steins;Gate port. (I guess with the exception of Octet, which wasn't a port anyway.)
That's probably because it didn't do so well since it was, well, buggy, and they probably lost money (at least at first).
I understand that console versions are hard but would it be possible to patch android version of Noah?
I'd still take a Vita version if it comes to that. (Of course, main Steins;Gate for Vita comes first. I can dream!)
Probably, there's already a iOS patch for the main route (but not the side routes, which is the important stuff for us).
>few times where no text would even show up and had to go through the backlog to see what the characters were saying.
Yeah, I got issues like that while changing from full-screen to windowed, specifically talking, they were in the backlog, because no text would appear from time to time and since sometimes I clicked twice while reading or the auto-mode scrolled faster than expected or just to re-read something I didn't get at all it happened fairly often, so I tried to read it always in full-screen.
To be honest the kurisu ending is not THAT difficult to get, I mean, I was checking the achievements before I went for a cup of tea and while pouring the tea the description of the Kurisu achievement was still stuck on my head, so I thought getting it might really do something about the supposed last route I haven't completed at that time. Something more difficult would be stuff like the music songs and the frog / upa wallpapers or the Rainet scripts, I pretty much didn't get most of them (I didn't know you needed to click twice for some of them either, heh). And of course the anime adaptation helped me really good, the best example would be ignoring Shining Finger's e-mails; (thought I don't know if this is really crucial) if something, the anime made me understand that everything was triggered through the cellphone and when the VN started I already knew that, it would have been a different and probably unsatisfaying experience if I read the VN before the anime.
Ignoring Moeka's D-mails doesn't actually do anything except for some minor differences in dialogue then and there.
Yo mean e-mails, right? Since Moeka is the one that ignores D-mails.
I suppose it's also related directly with the achievements, right?
Well, at least the russian-jap guide that I used was focused on getting everything on the VN so I thought it was that, and since it was something recurring in the anime that is supposed to adapt the true route, I just tried to ignore them if I could.
do you get to play the video game within the video game
What's up with 8-bit manga, first chapter was over half year ago.
Time to heat things up in here.
Going for Kurisu/True ends now. Is there any way to speed up the text skip speed, because the default is still really damn slow.
OP here. Been waiting for this for half the thread now.
I wonder how long they can continue this series. I wish that there was something more prevalent in the series that linked it all togeher except for the commitee of 300.
As long as people pay for it.
Inb4 something;something featuring Noah12 in 2035.
Robotics;Notes is where things started to get tied together, but most of the stuff was left out of the anime. Also the Noah technology that Taku looked up in Chaos;Head reappeared in Steins;Gate since Kurisu used it to make the time leap machine.
Is Chaos;head noah a lot different than the regular Chaos;Head?
I hope you never get a time leap machine.
Adds route for each of the heroines that give each of them a lot more characterization. You also find out new plot stuff. See >>100524144
Oh, poor me, I'll never live out my fetish...
Now why would you want to do that?
The characters were so fun that I got really depressed that it was over. What the fuck. This empy void is too much.
I wonder if the author has an ultimate endgame in mind. One that involves elements from all the games so far.
I assume so, since they've all been building upon each other, and Robotics;Notes revealed that there is an organized resistance.
Fucking this. Horribly depressing.
Are you me?
If in case you are me from the past, do not watch the chaos;head anime, and robotic;notes aren't any good either.
Not him, but I don't think Robotics;Notes was that bad. Kai was based as fuck.
I listened to a loop of "Juicy Karaage Numbah One, Waow!"
Here you go.
Somehow I knew that was coming as soon as I saw >>100542670
your ban is soft and squishy
But Ban was never a jellyman...
How do you know?
Because they only do experiments with live test subjects. Duh.
Op here. Can't believe the thread is still going.
You're not the only ones. The feeling when you will never be able Tuturuu~ with Mayuri-Chan.
I cracked open a bottle of Dr. Pepper and conducted some mad science.
I don't even.

What you don't like autotune Sister Centipede?
Can't even watch these because burgerland only.
Went on with my life and bought more stuff inluding these three while I was at comiket this winter.
This must be Kurisu's fault somehow. Just like everything else.
Did you get the calendar too?
Why does nobody blame the Committee, they're the ones stealing the research and using it to kill people and shit!
No, I didn't feel the need of it. And I had to skip some stuff if it were to fit in the bag on my trip home. I mean, I was there for three weeks. Bought stuff tends to increase without you even knowing it since everything was so cheap compared to sweden. Even food was and soda was cheap. But those fucking maid cafés was expensive as hell. Guess I'm way too normal fag to enjoy those places. I was at maidream for one.
Blaming the Committee is what they want you to do.
What about Maho?
What is it, anon?
Okabe's ability, however, was to REMEMBER the changes he made. This ability then overwhelmed okabe's current time line; to the point where, to a casual observer, his existence stops, as do the memories of said existence. Your point is valid, however. There were no physical changes. Mayuri, for example, still buys Dr. Pepper, even though she doesn't drink it. The physical remained the same, it was only the memories that changed.
Me again. Here is a picture of the girl selling me the dolls.
She looks so happy
