How could Shirou effectively monetize his magic? or is he doomed to work as an appliances repairman forever?
You lost me OP.
Only Rin can think of monetizing his ability.
Shirou actually prefers to support himself by doing jobs.
Well it's alright for him, his magecraft doesn't cost a small fortune to maintain.
Shirou from Heaven's Feel could sell several Jewel Swords for really HUGE price every rich mage in the world would buy, but he would probably ending up kulled by Zelretch himself.
According with Rin what he does is sorcery, something beyond magecraft.
His projections do seem to last even when he's not maintaining them, so yes, he could make loads a money. What sorcerer wouldn't pay through the nose for their own Rule Breaker or Jewel Sword?
Even if he doesn't want to deal with mages, he could just be a really good repairman.
What are the limits of his projects? Can he project iphones?
I'm pretty sure he can only project swords effectively. Part of that whole being made out of swords thing.
Then again archer projected a bow that one time.
Greatest bootlegger ever
Shirou's studying to be a lawyer, which doesn't need magic, unless those prosecutors are secretly using their mystic eyes to brainwash people
Monetizing is for dirty jews, and Shirou is a ginger.
Do you even Shirou? He won't get a job, he will travel the world saving people.
Why can sword be a root when it's a human-made thing? How does nasuverse even work?
Chinese dudes can project iPhones more effectively then Shirou.
Do people die when they are killed?
You mean an origin?
He only gets to be sword thanks to Avalon. I don't think it matters that it's a human concept when you're a human after all, though. I mean, Azaka's origin was "taboo."
Just like how Shiki can kill concept of giving a fuck.
>Why can sword be a root when it's a human-made thing? How does nasuverse even work?
You mean origin? Because, I guess. He had the scabard to one of the most significant and conceptually potent swords in history inside his body for at least ten years (presumably all his life in every route apart from Fate), it was bound to influence his nature one way or the other.
>Have sex with KING ARTHUR
>Show her your sword of promised victory today!
>100000 yen a go
This is the only way I could see this going.
He'll be rich
Archer is only Mind-of-Steel version of Shirou.
He could just sell his semen.
Why the fuck does Shirou want to live so honestly when his dad was a merc/killer? Maybe papa just left him fat stacks and he has no concept of money?
Is that the reason why she wants her brother's dick?
Given the mansion he lives in, either the Einsberns bankrolled his house and just never bothered to take it back, or as a contract killer Kerry was rich as fuck.
I'd guess Kerry probably did have fat stacks.
He has Taiga's money too, and her family is rich as fuc.
Seeing as Ilya has a complex towards Shirou, both may be possible.
>Implying being a mercenary isn't an honest way of making a living?
And the flower shield
Berserker Ajax when ?
Mind of Steel is Kerry, not Archer.
Does Taiga-sensei died in the VN?
Appliance repairman and secret superhero until Archer
Professional IRON Chef
He can properly become engineer or inventor with help of his magic
I kind of want to see what Shirou could pull off with modifying and reinforcing a Toyota Hillux and putting Saber behind the wheel.
Fuck motorbikes, put some reinforced steel bumpers on the front and they've got a tank. Shirou could even stand on the back and use his bow as a "cannon".
Why a hillux? Top fucking Gear, that's why.
He can project other stuff too, it's just swords are way easier for him. He does it to fix stuff, sometimes.
iPhones are probably pushing it, though.
>Top gear in a F/SN thread
this takes me back to the good old days
I need to redownload Top Gear, anime hasn't interested my in a while.
Makes one wonder why Rin is a poorfag when she could just use her magic to cheat money from everywhere. She's probably too proud or something.
Rin's magic costs money. All those gems.
Fuck yeah, Cooking!
It's not gems are the only magic she can use.
She simply needs to make more money than she spends.
She's too decent a person to just hypnotize people to give up money. Though she does say that Tohsaka's generally start out after having finished their education with getting rich one.
The Tohsaka's apparantly have a bunch of magical patents, too. Though her current monetary situation is Kotomine's fault, since the fucker went and sold all of their holdings and land.
Well he had to keep his wine cellar stocked SOMEHOW.
Can you imagine the devastation if Gil didn't have booze on hand all the time between the two wars?
The fifth war wouldn't have HAPPENED. Fuyuki would have been levelled long before.
Still. That son of a bitch.
When's the ufotable announcement?
Two weeks, iirc.
He used the church donations.
What does that have to do with anything?
Why can't Shirou create copies of himself?
READ THE VN
Because he is not a swo-
Well shit. Why doesn't he?
Can Shirou create Shichika?
Shouldn't create stuff from nothing make the universe shit itself? Or does the universe send demonbane after you if you start being a total munchkin with your powers, doing shit like trying to create a singularity out of infinite quarterstaves?
Doesn't Gaia smite Shirou's projections after he leaves them out for an extended period of time?
Seems like it wouldn't be a useful money maker.
Gaia slowly erodes the projections, and reality marbles.
what if shiroe goes to the universe were cave johnson is the planet?
Except for internal reality marbles, like Nrvnqsr's.
Projection in general doesn't last, and since the cost is so high most don't make use of it.
Shirou gets neat discounts and his RM makes it so they stay around unless Gaia is paying specific attention.
Normal shit, like machine parts and mundane swords could exist for practically forever.
I believe because he keeps is within his body his body protects it from Gaia.
Would his body be under constant strain or Gaia or is it not even trying to erode it?
I don't think it even tries to erode it. Their bodies are their own, Gaia doesn't care if you mutilate them.
Secretive Saber is secretive
>His form is owed to his Reality Marble, the Lair of the Beast King (獣王の巣, ?), which allows him to absorb and merge his existence with the lives of other creatures and manipulate them in the form of chaos. It is different from normal Reality Marbles that are superimposed upon the world, as he only deploys it within his own body. The corrective impulses of the world don't see this usage as a contradiction, so the cost of maintaining it is much lower than normal.
Is Imagine Breaker like having Gaia inside of your right hand?
Doesn't this apply to Shirou, too?
In Fate and in HF, the internal blade armor mesh doesn't get eroded for example.
That would be a true sorcery, and isn't what Shirou does. He has to form Prana into stuff to make it. Which is a naturally occurring form of energy.
We had this thread yesterday. I think for the most part it was decided that they are the same concept expect IB works almost instantly but on a much smaller scale instead of planet wide.
He's manifesting a small piece of his reality marble outside of his body, its the same as iskander summoning one of his friends outside of IH.
Gaia continuously try's to correct the error (which is why reality marbles break after a time)
He doesn't create stuff from nothing. Projections come from within UBW (where all the resources needed to craft them lie). When Shirou projects, he follows a set of steps that basically involve reconstructing the weapon (legend and all) from the ground up. The extra effort he (innately) adds to the projection magecraft makes it so precise that even Gaea has a hard time telling the difference. That's why the only one capable of destroying the copies is Shirou; when he believes the projection has shifted from the real thing he unconsciously denies it, causing the nearly perfect replica to shatter.
Dude, what if, Shirou could destroy sword noble phantasms by creating a fake that is more real than the real thing, then Gaia destroys the original instead of his projection.
His fakes can't surpass the original in quality, so no.
Doesn't mean he can't surpass them through superior application.
He already destroyed Gilgamesh's originals by clashing against them using UBW's copies, he doesn't need no prissy planet to help crush the originals. The rank down from projection isn't even a weakness of UBW but of Shirou's structural analysis, and he could probably get rid of it if he got his hands on some alchemic techniques, making the copies just as strong as the actual NPs.
Are the ones in a deployed UBW of higher quality than the ones he projects?
I believe the only difference is they're nearly free in UBW.
If the limitation of the quality of the weapon was in bringing it out of his marble, then it would be higher quality in UBW, but not otherwise.
> The rank down from projection isn't even a weakness of UBW but of Shirou's structural analysis
Actually, it's an inherent weakness to even Archer's projections.
At least read the VN before you spread misinformation
Part of his training was to project jars, they were around for days. Maybe he could project money and travel around.
Is there some reason Archer can't make the same structural analysis mistakes Shirou makes? Their being the same person and all.
I don't think it's a mistake Shirou and Archer that causes the rank down, but rather a lack of information which they simply have to guesswork around.
I mean, Archer's Kanshou & Bakuya are listed as C-, which sort of implies he can whittle the difference down with enough practice on specific weapons.
He got the originals destroyed because he overloaded the fakes with magic, so each sword was a one-use grenade.
Yes and no. When working out off UBW, Shirou usually works by creating a "blueprint" of the weapon he wants to project beforehand. The better laid out the blueprint is the higher the quality of the projection and vice versa. It's a big point in UBW since his swords quality keeps eroding during his battle with Archer, till he stops using his fucking brain and just wills the nearly faded Kanshou(?) to manifest.
The rank down from projection is a limitation on the information that can be attained from mere eyesight. That's why projected Avalon is a perfect copy of the original (and the only perfect copy he can pull off), since it was inside him for some 10 years. I actually read the VN you stupid faggot. Go heed your own damn advice...
That's called broken phantasm bro. The swords tend to blow up when that happens (which kinda makes them useless as melee weapons). He also lacks the magical capacity to pull off an actual BP...
Actually some of archer and Shirou projections are better than original counterparts, just some of alien weapons gets downgraded.
Actually he can make weapons feature with god level amount of prana while using little prana to project it, what he does is very close if not true sorcery.
>I actually read the VN you stupid faggot. Go heed your own damn advice...
Why? You just agreed with me that the rank down is inherent to projections. You literally can't get the same rank unless it's a part of you, like Avalon was. Stop being retarded anon.
Better as in different abilities. In terms of rank, they are all degraded. Sorry.
Rin says several times about Shiro being able of doing sorcery or something very close, things like excalibur and other of his noble phantasm projections have more prana into it than Shiro himself possesses, UBW is nothing but true sorcery, it is only destroyed by gaia itself.
>Better as in different abilities. In terms of rank, they are all degraded.
RMs aren't true sorcery.
UBW is a reality marble, which makes it near sorcery but still not.
After all, most Dead Apostles seem to get one with age, so it's not something that can't be created regardless of time or effort.
You first on your original claim.
>The majority of the weapons persevered in the reality marble are Noble Phantasms of Heroic Spirits copied through projection sorcery, each possessing deadly powers. Although the majority of the weapons are swords, the Noble Phantasm that provides absolute defence against projectiles, “Rho Aias”, is also said to be copied and stored in the reality marble. Also, the ability of the replicated Noble Phantasm suffers one rank down compared to the original.
This is common knowledge anon. Shirou himself says it at one point in UBW.
Can we just take a timeout for a second to think about how inherently cool the whole idea of UBW is for a power?
He's not Zelretch
ok, but your source also confirms it as being sorcery
The term sorcery in this case refers to magecraft.
It's not an issue of being a part of Shirou, but of him lacking the required information to get it to it's full rank. As I said, it's an issue with how he gains that information (structural analysis) and is why I made the comment about alchemy, since they specialize in that very same field.
Kanshou and Bakuya are a good example of this, as Archer gets them to near perfect and they suffer a lower degradation when compared to other projections. Another example would be Excalibur which Archer/Shirou shouldn't be able to replicate (due to divine components in it's construction) but still can due to reasoning out the missing parts (possibly borrowed from Caliburn at that). There's also Caliburn and the Jewel Sword which are also seemingly perfect replicas and the quality of which is due to borrowed memories.
I didn't mean to personally have anon, I meant Nasu thinking it up and using it on a character, and an MC no less. Obviously I don't want swords bursting from my body either
That's a long post and roundabout way of admitting that the degradation is a weakness of the process.
Why can't you just admit you're wrong?
>There's also Caliburn
Nah, True Magic is "魔法"
The guy is already rich, just a bit anyway
He has ties to the mafia as he does favors for Taiga's family often as they're a little too generous with him because they like him along with them promising to pay for Kiritsugu's house for as long as his son was still living there, he works a part time job as they give him some bonuses every now and then as well since he's an honest hard worker, and the guy has zero hobbies to spend all this money he keeps getting in except on cooking.
Think about it, he must be just putting it in the bank each time without really considering it very much since he's not really into material possessions. He must have a lot saved up by now from odd jobs if he can afford shit like Tuna and whatever else every morning yet still remains frugal. At worst a lot of it will go to his gun collection later on in life, but he just has more than enough money to live comfortably these days since his bills are taken care every month by Taiga's family yet he still chooses to work simply "Because it's good to work".
As in true sorcery?
Because it doesn't.
Mind of Steel is one of the only Shirou's who can't be Archer, since Archer is still a real soft type underneath it all. However MoS Shirou will kill all of his friends without a second thought anymore.
Shirou should be able to make a shitty version of Excalibur by replacing some parts, since it's a plot point in HF.
Nasu comments about it a bit in CCC, but he seems firm about Shirou not being able to make Excalibur normally which is why it's odd that such a crucial moment revolved around him doing so, and we even saw it flash on screen at the time. What is possible with wrought iron is greater in Mooncell so he can make a slightly passable version of Excalibur there, but it's still noted to be much greater in degradation than his normal shit.
Shirou's magic is considered by Rin to be a degraded version of the first true magic, [denial of nothingness]. Even if it's a watered down version it's still incomparable to the real thing since the stuff he's pulling out is coming from somewhere, but at the same time it's still far beyond what any other magus can do in that area since it's a magic that only he can do.
One of the reveals in UBW is that Shirou cannot use projection in the first place, he cannot use any magic saved for one in truth. Things like projection are really just him using his RM in very small parts to do something near impossible. They call it "Projection" to avoid confusion in a way, but actual "Projection" means taking something similar to the object you want to create and casting a fake layer of reality over it to look or act like that object, where as the way he does it is closer to pulling shit out of thin air. Because it's not actually projection it suffers none of the real limitations that actual projection would, like disappearing within the hour. However because he's not actually using any known magic he can't actually get any real help in regards to being taught how to use it, as someone like Tohsaka who clings to logic will only be baffled.
It's not the process, as the information is already stored in the Reality Marble. If he was able to analyze the weapons with more than just sight their quality would end up increasing by default. As for Caliburn, there's the whole thing about the one he wields with Saber basically warping reality which lead to the OHK it dealt to Berserker. That thing only happens because the sword that shouldn't exist anymore was reunited with it's wielder. Another good example would likely be Archer's bow since it is likely Emiya wielded the original for long enough that he got a good grasp on it.
Again, the reason Shirou can't create perfect replicas is a limitation caused by his own inability to analyze them effectively. Having the damn things inside of him has no bearing whatsoever on the quality as if that were the case he could literally just project any of the Servan't melee weapons perfectly. Avalon is the perfect example since even without structural analysis his body naturally became accustomed to it to the point he understood it perfectly.
It's funny cause Archer even threatens to Excaliblast everyone to death if Saber tries to fight him, and Nasu's comment basically makes it so he was bullshiting even more than normal during that scene.
>It's funny cause Archer even threatens to Excaliblast everyone to death if Saber tries to fight him, and Nasu's comment basically makes it so he was bullshiting even more than normal during that scene.
If we look at the game itself rather than Nasu's comments then Archer can obviously do it, or something close to it at least. But it's like he has something in his mind here in regards to how this works that he's just not really explaining.
Someone really needs to ask him about that shit
>and we even saw it flash on screen at the time.
They cut it out in Realta nua.
>"May this light reach the king who never can be reached. Can you withstand this fragment of a true holy sword?"
It's a good line
With cases like these, I take the original work as of greater weight than the authors word.
Retcons just piss me off.
It's just Nasu's way of stopping the potential fanwank (and inevitable retcons) of Shirou/Archer murderstomping most characters in the Nasuverse via "lol Excaliblast, gg"... helps to keep the rule of "Shirou can't actually beat any Servant but Gilgamesh on his own" true, as well.
I hated how badly Archer was nerfed in CCC.
His strength gets shot to hell, he gets luck and Excalibur exists to balance the damage output and hide the fact that Caladbolg was nerfed.
The combat is shit anyhow, let me at least break it.
A powerful weapon in the hands of a faker is still not worth too much. Lancer with Gae Bolg vs Shirou with Gae Bolg will still come up Lancer every time, because even if Shirou copies the skill it's still a farcry from true understanding or mastery. Since copying the skill just means the blade remembers what it used to do and is moving on it's own to mimic what it's done in the past. While a real master can create ways to overcome that easily.
It's like Homu vs Mordred in Apocrypha, Homu may have had Seigfreed's power but he still made a foolish move at the end in the way he attacked which was about to cost him.
>magic, the most useless stat is made Archer highest stat
>luck eating up stat growths
>raising Defense higher than C
It's about the user and master thing from UBW; Gilgamesh or Shirou, if they wielded a sword against a real sword master then either could probably lose in a battle of skills there. Shirou and Gilgamesh are both users, and their style is to overwhelm with outstanding versatility to hide their weakness.
It's not that because Archer do have some sword that can be use like Excaliblast but he can't unless he overload his circuits. So at best he could get mutual death
It's not quite the same since Shirou is also a user of Minds Eye (true). Even then, Shirou would still lose to Lance because Lancer knows all of his own moves, AND has better physical abilities. If it came to a NP quickdraw though, it would be a hilarious double KO since neither can escape Gae Bolg due to their shit luck.
I've played Extra twice with Archer. First I did a primary Strength secondary Agility, who was fucking murder. Raising Endurance beyond C wasn't necessary since Agility handled it.
Could kill Gawain in three rounds etc.
On my second run, I went for his canon stats, though with the caveat that I'd raise it as high as that stat allowed. So I had almost borderline C strength, with Magic as his highest stat. It was fucking terrible, the only advantage I noticed was that Hrunting maybe might have had an easier time causing a stat down. Took me something like 20 minutes to kill Gawain and I was 2 levels higher than the previous build.
Archer/Shirou just can't make Excalibur like other weapons, instead they make "Excalibur" (Excalibur Image), a similarly-shaped knockoff that's more expensive and less damaging because he can't imitate the construction methods used to make a Last Phantasm.
Mind's Eye just allows him to keep a clear mind in battle and understand if there's even a 1% chance at victory, while increasing the chance of that 1% if it exists.
>project high quality non-magical sword
>sell to antique collector
>project high quality magical sword
>sell to magus
projection scamming for all.
I still don't know why you're typing so much since it's all irrelevant to my post. Read it again before you start typing up a wall of text.
>As for Caliburn,
As for Caliburn nothing. You claim that it's seemingly perfect, but nowhere does it say that. Furthermore, the entire OHK is never explained, you are fanwanking at best, being factitious at worst.
If Shirou tried making magic swords for Magi I'm pretty sure he'd get a Sealing Designation in a week
He just needs to claim he made it out of ether and that it will fade away with time as a preventive measure to keep rivals from finding out his crafting secrets.
Magical patenting. He's not selling swords, renting them!
He wouldn't tell them they're projections. Or noble phantasms. Or be passing out Durandals left and right.
The concept of a "sword" exists even if it was first made by humans, as such Akasha has the concept of "Sword" in its records. Thus a soul emerging from the Root can have the concept of "Sword" imprinted on it.
"Hey man, you wanna buy this Excalipoor 3000? Totally not a knock off or reproduction!"
>The concept of a "sword" exists even if it was first made by humans
does the same apply to "moe"?
>Shouldn't create stuff from nothing make the universe shit itself?
Yup that's pretty much against the laws of physics.
At least in our universe.
You have to realize that Reality Marbles are basically a personal pocket universe created by a person's soul. The laws of physics in the tiny universe called Unlimited Blade Works are different enough to allow swords to be created from infinite materials.
Akasha is a hikkikomori NEET, what do you think?
What exactly is a Sealing Designation? I know that in the HF True epilogue, Rin talks about how the person who made Shirou's new body had one, which was making it had for them to completely fix him.
Officially it's the Mage Association protecting people with rare and unique talents to help further the art of magic.
In reality it's the Association seeing anybody with an interesting ability, capturing them, and using them as Guinea pigs for the first of their life.
>does the same apply to "moe"?
Why don't you ask void Shiki aka I really don't give a fuck and want to laze about all day. I mean if the concept of being a NEET can be imprinted on someone then why not moe?
Marked by the Magus Association for lockdown and "protection" (read: permanently captured for their unique talents and to be used in reserve when a situation requiring those talents is required). Magi are forbidden to continue their research, and generally go on the run.
So, why doesn't Shirou just project Gil's Key to use Gate of Babylon?
People who have unique abilities are brought in for study and are detained at the clock tower. If you're a high ranking magi from before, this might just mean they give you a sealed apartment and you continue on as normal for the most part but can't leave.
In most cases they just study and dissect you.
Fuck the Mage's Association, seriously.
I think it would just make him his own vault. Which probably resets once the key disappears.
Though it'd be great for smuggling shit. Speaking of which...
Just if the key is a sword
It's a sword.
It's specifically called a key sword.
Speaking of Apocrypha
>still no new translated chapters
Feels bad, man.
Supposedly, male magi can sell their semen for a fair price.
Tohsaka said that, I do believe.
I doubt fair means that it's lucrative. It's specifically the poor magi who are known for selling it.
Reminder that Prototype Gil is much better than Gil.
No, you're imagining things.
He should use his money to train orphans into super heroes.
Reminder that you're wrong.
I'm pretty sure that I'm not.
>better Gate of Babylon
I didn't think people could be THIS wrong.
You learn something new everyday, huh.
I like that he can actually fight
I really dislike that part about him.
Gil makes everything look so effortlessly, whereas proto-gil actually does stuff.
Where exactly was Avalon inside Shirou? I mean, it's not like the human body has a lot of spare pockets to just put scabbards in. Was it in his ass or something?
I also disagree. I found Prototype Gil's personality completely unmemorable. The orbital tsunami of Utnapishtim was cool, the swordbow less so.
Generic shoujo badguy who wants to rape femc
He doesn't even have a Gate of Babylon.
Which Gil still has, in CCC. Prototype Archer must have gotten it after Gil died.
It dispersed and fused with every cell in his body.
>He doesn't even have a Gate of Babylon.
Conceptual weapons I ain't gotta explain shit.
Hey GUYS. I've been thinking, who's stronger - Gilgamesh or EMIYA?
I'm pretty cure cells don't work like that either. Where are you going to put that little bit of leather, under the mitochondria?
Gil isn't really better in that regard.
>Generic shoujo badguy who wants to rape femc
Better than generic shounen badguy who wants to NTR the mc.
>He doesn't even have a Gate of Babylon.
Bab-Ilu does the same thing and looks more interesting.
It's literally inside his body and it heals every injury it causes by just being inside him.
EMIYA. Gil is too retarded and stuck-up to use Ea. Especially against EMIYA.
Avalon is Saber/Arturia's, right? Why didn't she use it to heal her arm when Lancer fucked it up?
I'm pretty sure leather doesn't open up a doorway to an unreachable utopia realm.
Archer is the true heroine of FSN, so he has plot armor and thus wins.
>Gil str B
>Emiya str D
Gil is obviously stronger
Gilgamesh is easily more powerful overall. He just matches up badly against Archer in particular.
Again, if its a "thing" in the sense of having matter, I don't see a way of putting it in him without it either killing him or causing a massive infection at least. Wouldn't his immune system be fighting the foreign entity in his body 24/7?
Because she had it, right?
Besides, that golden spear is all CRAAAAAWLIIIIIIING IIIIIIIN MY SKIIIIIIIN
Well what is it made of then?
you would think but people do have implants IRL
It's magically healing Shirou, that's not a problem.
One of Avalons abilities is to heal the owner.
Gil is KINGU, his personality is flawless.
Hey now, he's not that one dimensional. He also wants to destroy the world.
Bab-ilu is limited to ten "machine guns".
I think my favorite part of Fate is how Sumerians were apparently blonde dudes
Does Gilgamesh have a nuke in his treasury? Current gen nukes are about as deadly as anything I've seen in the Nasuverse. If he wants powerful weapons, why not the most powerful.
Even if it was physically shoved inside of him, he'd suffer no ill effects because it would heal them.
I'll give you the armor's design but I'll never concede personality.
It's made out of hopes and dreams, all your questions are irrelevant!
Not King Arthur is a girl?
At least we agree that Gil is more stylish in casual wear, right?
Nah, but every Seibah being a Historical ruler who was actually a cute girl in disguise is weird
>Bab-ilu is limited to ten "machine guns".
We don't know.
Maybe he can get additional rings of it.
I prefer plain rape over rape+NTR.
Besides, he wants to marry FeMC, not rape her.
Gilgamesh ended up closer to how Alexander should have looked like.
and Alexander ended up closer to what Gilgamesh should have looked like.
>has the best of everything in his treasury
Obviously he's also going to excel at wearing shit.
Well, they were. Before the brown people came and raped them all.
It's because his armor looks stupid.
Gil's armor has a fine design, except for the awkward knee-wing-flaps.
He actually does own nuclear warheads. They were on the Vimana.
Afaik his CM says 10 in Complete Material II.
The funny thing is that Arthur is still wrong
They are not actual nuclear warheads, though.
Did anyone even read the VN? Shirou won't get a job until he retires from being a superhero, assuming he doesn't die in the process. In every route other than HF he still goes down the SEIGI NO MIKATA route and heroes it up for a while, he doesn't immediately jump to be a construction worker.
That said, he could easily become a master swordsmith in Japan by reinforcement/transformation magic on some shitty old sword and then say he made it.
It's his Monty Python design, right? Close enough to be true.
Hey kid, wanna buy a sword?
Reality marble is an extremely rare and powerful magic right? I guess there'd be some magic researchers will to pay him lots of money to experiment on him.
Oh, that's even better than some savage
S-Shirou, I didn't think you'd get into prostitution... ;_;
If by "experiment" you mean "dissect his brain", at least.
What makes you say that?
Nope. Straight up kidnapping and detainment.
Magi are assholes.
will they at least put him back together when they are done?
Gilgamesh is weak.
>Couldn't save the only person he ever gave a shit about, Enkidu
>Couldn't stay awake for 10 days like the immortal sage asked him
>Couldn't hold on to the plant that gives immortality and let a snake eat it
He can compensate by adding a bunch of meaningless crap, but the things he really wanted to do he always failed at.
Watch Fate/zero? It's like a ghost inside of him.
Nah, like Caster, they'll probably take his magic circuits and turn them into "projection" Mystic Codes.
They're complete assholes.
He's still pure anon. Swords clashing with swords doesn't count...
Guys, I've been playing a Caster run of F/E recently, I realised (maybe it's playing it alongside AC4) that Rider is a pretty cool character potentionally, more to the point though, anyone think her NP if fully realised and properly animated into an absolute clusterfuck of Cannon fire from a fleet appearing out of a GOB-esque wall that spans for miles edgewise would look awesome?
Could she bomb the shit out of F/Z Rider's Ionian Hetairoi NP with it?
Potentially it's one of the most devastating NP in the series isn't it?
A-are you sure?
Phew, I thought I might have been gay there for a second.
what about the rest of him?
But he did end up getting the herb.
Considering that any of the three servants you can choose from can tank it, I don't really think so.
It's probably one of the best for continued wide-area bombardment, though.
Dead? Turned into reagents? Depends, really. The best Shirou could hope for is getting drafted into the Enforcers.
Come on anon, you saw all the sword clashing he did in F/SN. For a sword like him, being able to clash with the greatest swords in legend must be a dream come true.
When? He's dead or he couldn't have been summoned by the Grail.
Didn't Gilgamesh of the legends rise to become king of the babylonian gods?
Fate/Extra CCC confirms he went back to get another dose, but declined to use it. Just to own it as a treasure, same as the rest of them.
It's only gay if the hilts touch.
That's completely contrary to how he's written in the myth. But then again, Nasu's Gilgamesh has about as much to do with the mythical Gilgamesh as Saber has to do with the legendary Arthur (i.e. almost nothing).
Isn't that a gameplay thing though? Anyone remember what Rank the Ships are?
I don't believe so, but i don't know enough to assert anything
>Retconning the oldest written tale for fun and profit!
No, he died like a bitch. That's the moral of the story actually. "All humans will die like faggots so just accept it and stop trying to be immortal."
Arturia is a lot like mythical King Arthur, the hell are you on about?
Gilgamesh at the end of his myth gave up on immortality, same as Nasu Gil. Nasu Gil just has another edge of greed in regards to rare and precious things.
Really, it's pretty accurate to the legend.
>the oldest written tale
Is it though?
Golden Wild Hunt: The Night of the Golden Hind and the Storm
Range: 20 ~ 40
Maximum number of targets: 20 ships forward deployment
It could be worst.
He could make the next new Seibah Alulim
The oldest known written story at least.
Written is the key word here.
The Epic of Gilgamesh actually refers to older traditions that can be assumed to exist, but were either not written down or have not been discovered
Pretty sure that's just a gameplay thing and doesn't accurately represent what it would do.
Such as when Archer uses Excalibur Image and Gil uses Ea. Normally the blast would envelop the entire dungeon and probably blow a chunk or two off the moon cell. Instead it's a tiny blast that just drops random enemies.
Gameplay is not an accurate representation of what it'd actually be like. If gameplay were, then standard non-god mode Tamamo is canonically stronger than Gawain and Savior.
Could look pretty sweet animated imo, and it's actually classed as 'Anti-Army' too so I guess it might be able to absolutely decimate Ionian Hetairoi, depending on whether the Heroes in their get to really fight in the way they never did in F/Z.
Annoying how we're probably not going to get CCC, it makes F/E sound like a fucking tech demo.
You could take it as the Moon Cell deliberately holding things back to keep from having to rebuild everything
Remember that Shirou's origin was forcefully changed to "sword" due to Avalon.
Gawain didn't have his Triple hax(which I still think is bullshit in general) and Savior was was half-assing it.
I'm remember there being arguments over whether it was his affinity or his origin or both. We need someone who knows moonrunes to check the CM out to confirm it.
CM3 page 132-133.
>(which I still think is bullshit in general)
The amount of broken and OP Noble Phantasms pretty much outnumber the fair ones by a shit ton.
I think in F/SN, only Rider had the non BS ones.
And Kybele is fucking overpowered. It let her go toe-to-toe with a much more powerful servant (Black Saber).
I originally thought the + modifier in his strength was for the triplicate boost, but it turns out its not.
So at his peak, he can without using his NP supposedly dish out A++ rank NP attacks.
Didn't she need Shirou's help there? It's been a while since I read the VN but I can't even remember why Black Excalibur didn't completely destroy the cave they were in and collapse the entire thing on everyone's head.
I want to see Rider send a volley of cannon fire at Saber to the point where her iron balls will block out the sun 200-style. Then as they're falling towards her she excaliblasts, and the shot blows away the incoming projectiles and cuts through the fleet.
My dick. I like Excalibur.
Shirou did jack shit until the noble phantasms were drawn.
Rider was able to force Black Saber to the defensive with her own skills and Kybele alone. Unable to overwhelm her, but they were mostly goading her to use Excalibur so the combination could take her down through it.
And the cave was sturdy enough to take it? Repeated use would have killed everyone, but it seems one wasn't enough.
So what if he thought Lancelot using Arondight? (like he probably would want to if they're sticking to the story)
Although, tbh, I'm still a bit annoyed at how they made Gae Bolg sound OP as fuck and then immediately jobbed it, which if I think about it pretty much set the stage for the cop outs used to overcome OP Noble Phantasms later on.
She didn't do it alone. She needed Shirou's raw anus to actually match Black Excalibur, and even then according to Shirou only 10% of the damage actually managed to go through. Shirou and her both used their trump cards and all it did was get Saber Alter to hit her head badly enough for Shirou to finish her.
It wasn't defensive as much as she was just zoning the shit out of Saber.
Shirou can support, though it really isn't necessary.
Anyway, no one can beat having "Worthlessness" as origin. Poor not-shirou.
Before Noble Phantasms were taken out, she had kept up with Black Saber without getting scratched despite being a servant ill-fit for straight combat. Kybele was what closed that distance.
I just want to see it chip away and ultimately destroy a large target with a shitload of Cannons and explosives, like Caster's Lovecraft monster or Rider's Army.
All the while she's at the Wheel of her own Ship, completely enveloped by all the smoke from the attacks, as is most of the Fleet, while she laughs like a Madman.
Why doesn't Shioru just project high end computer parts and graphic cards he can auction off to neckbeards online?
Shirou's projections last a long ass time too and even should the projected computer parts start disappearing years later, the average neckbeard upgrades his battle station every 5 years or so so they won't care if these computer parts they bought fro Shriou start breaking down 5 years later since these parts will be considered "outdated" by then.
It's not that broken, it's just a big speed debuff.
>she was just zoning the shit out of Saber.
>Shirou can support, though it really isn't necessary.
Sounds like they went full Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Saber alter.
That's still shit when compared to Tamamo who was only at one eight her actual strength. Caster at full power is stupid broken as far as power levels are concerned, what with being the goddess of the fucking sun and all that.
What if your Origin is impotence?
>Nvidia is my blood
Which is massively crippling in a servant battle, especially when combined with her absurd speed.
To anyone with a low Prana rank, it's an instant kill. (See: 4th Rider)
Shirou's magical alignment and origin are swords, so he can sword very well.
You know if Shirou wasn't such a good guy.
Wouldn't his reality marble allow him to become an illegal weapons dealer quite easily?
He would make a lot of profit selling traced guns and knives and other military equipment.
After all, Shirou can easily trace tool shed and gym equipment which was why he was loved by the student council so much since they kept sending Shirou to fix stuff around the school and we saw Archer tracing a fishing pole just from looking at a magazine in F/HA so tracing guns isn't exactly impossible for Shirou.
Anything not made for melee weapon is hollow and empty shapes. Only structures. Guns and shit with moving internal parts cannot be made.
Doesn't that depend on who she's fighting? Or at least, I don't think she can do shit to Beserker (Here's a thought, shouldn't Caster, Rider and Berserker instantly recognise each other?), Bellerophon will take one life and then what can she do?
I guess I need more reasons to respect her weapons and fighting prowess, she kinda' gets shafted in F/SN if you ask me, even Assassin and Caster did amazing things, if it wasn't for HF she'd have nothing.
I think Nasu gave some bs about not being able to trace firearms, but I could totally see Shirou making an AK-47 or a Colt 1911 since they're mostly simple steel parts.
Why doesn't Shirou visit every museum and auction house in the world and start selling projected high quality artwork and objects on the black market?
So he traces the parts individually. An AK isn't very complex, you know.
>And we saw Archer tracing a fishing pole just from looking at a magazine
>Archer/Shirou casually using tracing
I've wanted to see this for so long.
>"Shit, I lost the cooking pan. Oh well."
>Projects a pan in a second
Life would be a hundred times easier if you could spontaneously create objects with your mind.
Herakles is a special case, and yes Medea recognized him which is why she knew she needed Saber to deal with the mad giant.
Very few people can kill Herakles 12 times apart from Gil. Even Saber's was just a cop-out that Nasu admitted he had written himself into a corner.
That blanket in the deen anime was awesome. I want a blanket made out of swords.
>if you could spontaneously create objects with your mind.
Could I create my waifu?
His raw anus isn't a melee weapon yet still keeps all its abilities. It's not just a copy of appearance alone.
Which I never did get. I know it costs more prana, but why can he trace a shield? I thought it was only melee shit, not defensive NPs too. He should just trace Gil's armor.
Shields are a melee weapon.
>armament can be created at 2-3 prana cost
Though what annoyed me, was that Shirou didn't just create Enkidu to further fuck with Gil.
That actually was great. Literally the only thing they added that I really liked. It was cool seeing tracing used so easily, it showed Shirou actually knew some shit by the very end. And it was a sweet moment, especially how he said "trace, on" so gently considering the situation. Then that little look at Illya's sleeping face.
Maybe he didn't have a solid enough picture of him in his mind? On another note, regular captchas are back, yay!
>yes Medea recognized him which is why she knew she needed Saber to deal with the mad giant.
I thought she was just savvy to how Berserker is always the counter pick to Casters? I don't remember her realising his true identity?
Attempting to use a hero's own noble phantasm against them is generally a very poor idea as they will know EVERY weakness about it.
(before you bring it up: Black Berserker was blind and oblivious.)
Archer already has magic armor, and tracing Gil's armor would result in an inferior copy.
Uhh concidering Medea knew Hercules personally it would be silly if she didn't recognize him.
I can think of a hundred ways tracing Enkidu would have saved the entire cast in FSN.
Just imagine if he'd traced it during the Berserker fight. Berserker wasn't in full KILL GIL mode there so he probably couldn't have broken out nearly as easily.
Did Sakura realize that Basaka would actually get weaker after being mud'd?
>the stronger their divinity, the stronger it restrains them
>Gil has B(A+) divinity
Seems like such an obvious thing to do.
She doesn't care?
The snake still took his shit the first time around, the meaning is still the same, but he realized after the snake ate his plant and shed it's skin that "Ha.. yeah this really wasn't possible to begin with" as he realized even if he got that sort of immortality it would not be the kind he truly desired. He truly laughed at his own foolish and humbled self that day just like in the original, but in the end he went back down for the plant again because "Well it's still good to have something like this" to which the MC could only say "That's bullshit, that just contradicted the entire deep lesson you just learned" and GIl is like "Whatever, pay it no mind, collecting shit is in my blood".
The meaning and lesson were the same, but Nasu changed around a few details. Gilgamesh was skeptical about the kind of immortality he could really get here after he saw that the sage was more plant than man anyway
Maybe. But it was also the only way she could make him hers, so it's not like she had a choice.
Sabers are the counter to Casters, Berserkers have no special gains against them except a general immunity to mind-affecting spells (which Medea does not rely on).
She recognized him as a threat she could not possibly deal with on her own or with Assassin.
Why doesn't Shirou visit every museum and auction house on earth and start selling projected high quality artwork and objects on the black market?
Or alternatively, why doesn't Shirou work for a auction house and help the auction house determine fakes from the real thing for a living?
I thought the only magic part of his gear was the sash he got from Ciel. Don't they say his armor is made of materials that don't exist on Earth yet? I thought his armor was just armor from the future, like super kevlar or some technology we don't have yet, considering he's, y'know, from the future.
It'd be inferior, if he can even trace it in the first place. Berserker would definitely have broken it.
Archer's armor is human-made. It's like a futuristic bullet-proof vest that we can't make yet, but apparently do in 10 years in the nasuverse.
Yes, logically she should but I'm not going to give Nasu the benefit of the doubt to incorporate that.
I'm not THAT clued up on Greek Mythology, how were Herc and Medea? Were they cool with each other?
Archer's black bow is also made of of an unknown material that doesn't exist on Earth yet.
Archer's armor is weird.
Sometimes it looks like a thick shirt, sometimes it looks like a very thin skintight undershirt and sometimes it looks like a hard cuirass when it's damaged and has cracks running through it.
I'm pretty sure they just spent a bit of time on the Argo together before Herc went off to do other things and Jason was basically a massive dick to her.
Well being a Divine Spirit is something far greater than a servant, especially when you're one of the top 3 divine spirits. It's flat stated that even sane and normally functioning Arcuied would only really have a chance against Amaterasu on the Moon, and even then a low chance. Also it's stated that Ammy is about as strong as a hundred heroic spirits in her full form. Arc in her sane mode with 1/6th modifier is one of the broken tier CCC characters, and she's the only one stated to be able to push Ammy down to a point when "It's possible to win" even if the chance is very low at that.
Didn't he drop out before the Argonauts got to Colchis?
He doesn't destroy the originals thats in the film only, his attacks deflect GOB projectiles
Gilko is my favorite, please post more
It's stated to be some futuristic Kevlar type vest that can block bullets up close
Shioru is the ultimate pirate.
No museum or arts collection or auction house is safe from Shirou's eyes.
No fancy sports car or bikes on the street is safe from Shirou's eyes.
No fancy dresses or purses worn by women on the streets is safe from Shirou's eyes.
No electronics store like Best Buy is safe from Shirou's eye.
(If Shirou somehow managed to get a tour of a nation's gold bullion vault, Shirou could change the global economy overnight.)
I'll repeat it again, Shirou is the ultimate pirate.
INB4 it's liner flesh
Speaking of F/E, how is the actual gameplay in regards to Caster? Does it show that she's one of the most broken character?
Herakles is pretty much the only person to show Medea any kindness in her entire life. She lived with him for awhile after absolving him of his sins, when he killed Iphitus in a blind rage (he keeps doing that). Only lasted a short while before the people of Thebes drove her out, Herc covered her escape from the city.
She was probably not happy about him being trapped in the same violent rage permanently, but a grail war is a grail war.
Hahah no. She's basically the hardest character to play. She's super fragile, and has terrible basic attacks. You have to rely on her spells to do anything.
She's by far the weakest, since she was summoned as the weakest facet of Ameratsu that only wished to serve someone honestly. She's one of the nicer personalities to summon, but she's purposefully weak as fuck most of the time.
She's hard mode
She's only good for spell casting, and refuses to use most of her broken abilities
Sometimes I wish F/E had actual gameplay. Melty was good, wasn't it? But then again, I'm awful at fighting games.
Tamamo-no-Mae at her fullest power is still only one tail of Amaterasu Ookami's nine, though.
>Projecting a high rank noble phantasm that that has very little blade component to it
The only reason Shirou is able to trace sword nps is that he gets a massive cost reduction due to his blade origin, tracing things beyond swords would fuck him up costwise.
Not to mention that enkidu ties opponents up by going in and out of GOB (thus binding the opponent at many angles somthing that shirou won't be able to do via projection)
Well yes, abilities wise perhaps, but the guy is so fucking daft that he couldn't see the possibilities even if someone had given him written instructions.
Yes, he does. Go watch this.
They break each other's swords pretty much every single time they clash. It's part of what makes the fight so dramatic.
Hell, it opens with Shirou destroying one of his swords and grabbing the next.
But what about when they disappear?
Yes, this pleases me
Every single one of their weapons shatters after a single swing/their swords hit each other in the air as they bladespam. Go reread the fight.
It's a damn shame you can't summon her in the regular Grail Wars. Murdering everyone due to godly stats, NP, and legendary fame in Japan is only half as good as being able to just enjoy her company...
The narration in the game pretty clearly states that Gil was being forced to destroy his swords along with Shirou's.
Technically, the cost down is on most bladed weapons. Defensive equipment is the one that takes a heavy blow since it costs 5 times as much.
At 2-3 times the cost, it's still going to be worth it. But if GoB is a requirement for to be used effectively it probably makes sense.
There's also this
The Caster that you summoned while still a god is a very weak piece of a god at present. In her full form she's a real monster, but you only summoned the Tamamo-no-mae that wants love among other things.
Still that one piece of a god in her power is able to work miracles when she's paired with a good master, as any of the four servants can. She's got EX rank witchcraft as an ability which she won't use, Transformation which she won't use, she was able to move faster than the speed of light across the universe at the end of CCC True End when your servant gets sent to the other side of the universe and gets back(In her case using the power of love, while Gil just used some NP that travels faster than light), and while it's stated by her directly she couldn't make it that far without you a servants worth is still in how you use them. She's a servant with a lot of potential, but she's the hardest to use in the game until you start ranking up your MAG stat.
>She was probably not happy about him being trapped in the same violent rage permanently, but a grail war is a grail war.
She was probably too poisoned by her hatred to care.
Am I a pervert and just imagining it, but didn't Caster sexually abuse Saber in UBW? If only lightly?
It quite clearly says 2-3, not 5. Where are you getting 5 from?
From shitty memory...
Full power Ammy is not a thing you want to summon typically, and you'd have no way of controlling it. The face you summoned was the most compatible one you could have chosen, even if she's a bit weak.
A bit of sexual harassment, making her aroused and putting her in a lewd dress to help erode her willpower against the command seal.
>Shirou and Gil are locked in melee, breaking swords and grabbing new ones with every swing as dozens of swords clash and shatter in the air around them
>They each draw one sword and just have a simple sword fight, then Shirou traces K&B when he could have easily just picked them up off the ground
Goddamn, they ruined such an epic fight. Hopefully ufotable gets it right if they do UBW.
>She wouldn't do anything as crude as taking her virginity
Or something like that, softcore S&M really.
Just a bit
She held her with her ass up and her skirt lifted past her waist, and the narration talked about how Caster wanted to make her a raging slut.
But she could have eroded her willpower another way, right? She thinks Saber is Kawaii.
All I remember is Saber being forced to stick her ass out and I recalled Caster rubbing her vulva.
Fucking mind break Medea.
I don't understand.
Shirou is calm, collected and confident. Concentrates on his breathing and 100% on overwhelming Saber, no distractions.
Shounen shouting, wild arm flailing as he talks, gets distracted when Saber disappears.
So in their fight they're both always shattering their weapons.
Gilgamesh's treasury is finite, he apparently has over a thousand weapons, but is still finite. So if Shirou somehow kept UBW going for an hour, couldn't he destroy Gil's entire treasury aside from stuff like Ea?
I'd love to see Gil's face when his beloved treasury goes from a thousand treasures to a handful.
The fuck am I smoking? He concentrates on overwhelming Saber in Fate, if you know what I mean.
Incidentally, Kiritsugu's dad had a sealing designation as well, which was why they were on the run.
Alas were stuck with the stat pages from the new books. Vlads base stats got a boost in order to match him up with the 'as strong as herc/arthur in their countries)
UBW probably wouldn't last that long, but yeah that mental pressure was what Shirou was riding on to make up for the difference in their physical ability.
>rubbing her vulva
This I do not recall. But I want to. For scientific reasons. Did that actually happen?
That's pretty much why he went to complete panic mode and tried to draw Ea.
Then he got his arm cut off and Gil was like "FUCK."
I don't think so from what I remember.
>Shirou calmly threatens Gilgamesh with his "here I come, King of Heroes. Do you have enough swords in stock?", totally confident and collected
>Roars it in generic shounen style
That's what I liked about the fight. Shirou went from "SHIT SHIT SHIT, FUCK FUCK FUCK, SWORD SWORD SWORD" to "Oh whoops, silly me. Haha, time for UBW!".
He broken phantasm'd her noble phantasm.
From this post >>100497136
It seems I was just engaging in wishful thinking.
I know this is my white hetero privilege scum mind that thinks all women are bisexuals talking here, but I wonder if Saber thought Caster was sexy enough that she started to get hot when Caster touched her private area and her ass.
Let's face it, Caster is pretty smoking, if Caster had lived much longer in UBW, Saber and her would have probably met for Round 2 at some point and the knowledge that they engaged in minor foreplay.
I meant regular Tamamo Caster. Probably faulty memory but I remember something about how she still wouldn't be able to be summoned to a regular grail war due to her nature. A shame too since Tamamo is easily the best Caster in terms of both ability and personality.
>666 targets NP
>Broken as fuck stats
>Second NP makes him dracula and raises his stats even MORE
Dear gods, you were fucking OP Vlad. Vampirism shenanigans or not, I still refuse to believe he gets taken out by fucking exorcism even though that shit is supposed to range from "virtually useless" to "slows down" at best against heroic spirits.
Avicebron's golem better be a goddamned rapemachine or Black team is just going to flat out lose this war.
It was, but it still died to beamu.
Oh, I managed to miss all the volume 3 spoilers.
Shit black team it was nice knowing you.
You're thinking about this all wrong
Black team currently has the edge because they are the underdog, they are in the hero zone, they have the moderator on their side, and generally are more likable for now. The underdog/hero side may seem weaker, but that's what makes people root for them in some ways. That's what gives them the edge here, because the underdog side has that certain glory while the other side that seems to hold all the cards only holds them so they can topple eventually.
That applies to humans trying it. Shiro was a Servant, not some measly human.
>I wonder if Saber thought Caster was sexy enough that she started to get hot when Caster touched her private area and her ass.
It's not really a question of how hot Caster was, but more of Saber's mindset towards romance and stuff in general. I feel like she would just see "getting turned on" as a way to make babies, and not really as for amusement.
Chiron and Astolfo still have to reveal their NPs for now, that's a decent trump card for now.
That Hippogriff seems to hold some power if they blanked out what it could do for the time being.
But isn't Mordred on red team? There's no way the Saber clone team can lose.
It was. It was a reproduction of ADAM and its effect was to terraform the area around it into eden. The handy side effect being that no violence can occur in eden, which renders it immune to all damage in areas its terraformed.
Took the combined blast of Clarent and Balmung to destroy it and it only worked because it hadn't terraformed the area yet.
Is it more humiliating for Saber to be forcefully kissed as passionately as possible by another Woman (Caster) or to fingered and rubbed all over her vagina by another Woman? (Caster)
Mordred's lost before.
She's currently at odds with the rest of Red team, and her master is the only one to avoid that brainwashing the rest of the red team got from SHIROU.
Last I checked at least
homu what the fuck are you doing.
I believe Gil has explained this more than once, Original > Reproduction.
Only to another Saber
Vlads even more OP than you think, the reason ruler commanded all the servants to gang up on Vlad was that he was releasing a vampiric mist that was draining prauna from all the servants in the area, if he wasn't stopped quickly all the servants (Including Achilles seeming as it wasn't damage) would have faded out due to lack of prauna.
Which Vlad is more canon, F/A or F/E Vlad?
Ah yes he's quite fond of le secrets
Servants are generally said to be on par with DAA in two different interviews, so to be a vampire of that level due to such fame that even servants seem weak in comparison means he must be High DAA tier at that level.
Moon Cell is an accurate representation of the person in life. Apocrypha is that person shoved into a Servant container and molded to the modern day legend (a little less rapey, a little more suave, a lot more vampire).
Two sides of a coin.
I'd give Astolfo a ride, if you know what I mean.
Getting killed it would seem
Reika Shoots him through the heart at the end of Volume 3
With a Thompson Contender Encore
>Q: Who'd win if the Servants and the 27 Ancestors fought each other? Also, who'd win in a fight between Bazett, a renowned powerhouse of the Association, and Ciel, top class in even the Association?
>A: Depends on compatibility, but basically Servants will have the slightly higher advantage. With Saber, Lancer, and Archer classes, we ought to be able to relax and see decent fights. In particular, Saber has THAT sort of Noble Phantasms so against guys like the 27 Ancestors that overwhelm by material quantity and alienness, she'd be REALLY tough.
>....Well, there are also some of those tough Ancestors that can withstand a direct hit from Excalibur-class attacks, but against those guys that just (emphasis on just; other stats don't match up) have wickedly high HP, Lancer-aniki'd be pretty tough.
>Oh, and regarding Bazett-san and Lady Ciel, Ciel'd still win at the point Bazett was in Hollow. Once Bazett awakens and masters Fragarach, it'll turn into a good match.
>Q: Who would be stronger if Servants fought the 27 Ancestors? Servant's also have superhuman battle ability, but the 27 Ancestors are also superhuman monsters... I got the impression that ORT, Primate Murder, Altrouge Brunestud, and so on were obviously stronger than Servants.
>A: All I can is they're both powerful... They're both beings that live in mystery, so the only thing that can be said is that it all depends on the situation the moment it comes down to "having the means of killing the other guy somehow". Among those, Earth rules won't even apply to ORT in the first place and Primate Murder has the super advantage against primates so they're in a league of their own, I suppose. Speaking of which, for one Primate Murder, seven Guardians would be the appropriate amount.
So I finished the Fate route two weeks and just can't stop thinking about the ending... Why does the route only have this fucking sad and unfair ending. Anyone knows some good fanfic or something which continues the story?
>Ruler class Servant from the 3rd War
>Conveniently chosen as master during current events
>Is in fact Shiro Amakusa and Kirei's brother
...this shit is even weirder than I expected it to be.
Don't you have RN?
Third route ending is far worse in that respect, but if you do all endings then a continuation of the first route ending becomes available.
No. Just finish the fucking story and get the LE patch.
Saber is waiting for you, chase after her you fuck.
Nasu continued the story himself. Do you have the Realta Nua patch? Read to the end of Fate/Stay Night if so.
Or apply the Realta Nua patch then read to the end of Fate/Stay Night.
I'd argue the oppisite to be honest. Vlad was a victim of a massive smear campaign from his enemies. The whole impaling people may be true, but it worked as a deterrent from enemy forces.
And to be fair to the lad, he managed to make somthing of his shithole of a country and survive attacks from overwhelming odds.
Whereas Extra vlads just a psycho.
Couldn't he just bottle it and sell it?
>Seven CG Archers required to bring down one giant puppy
Hot damn primate murder
Fear not anon, look up getting the 'True Ending' set in Avalon.
Personally, I like the goodbye between Shirou and Saber, I am really jealous that Shirou got to hear those words from a Girl he loves and know it's sincere.
mage/magic/true magician/true magic/mana
Isn't it all the same shit?
Not a psycho, just a religious zealot driven to extremes by his great ambition. However even in his character bio there it's stated plainly that he was betrayed by his own people like that, yet he did what he needed to in order to protect those around him, even if he was seen as a monster.
Thus he had the Innocent Monster skill in addition to Divine Aegis
He was clearly a pretty heavy-handed ruler no matter who's records you look at.
The odd sexual predator vibe he has in F/E definitely seems off, but that might just be influence from his crazy master rubbing off.
Magi and sorcerers/magicians are very, very different. So are thaumaturgy and magic.
But Ea is said to have existed before there was a concept of "sword". Therefore there was a time before "sword" existed. Hence "sword" cannot have been there from the beginning.
But the story does continue...all you have to do is 100% the game.
Even the universe agrees that Shirou doesn't need it's rules. Fuck that, he can to break the series' internal logic just to be with Saber.
Do you have any idea how long you've made her wait you asshole?
Go after her, she spent eternity waiting for you.
It's like magic circuits. Circuits are a component of the soul, not of the body. Unless you're like Shirou who uses his nerves as his magic circuits until Rin points out he's being a retard who does the equivalent of shoving a hot knife into his spine every time he uses magecraft.
Magus/Magecraft/Thaumaturgy = MAJUTSU
Sorcery/Magic/True Magic = MAHOU
MAJUTSU is doing funny stuff with mystic powers, but it's all stuff that "can still be done". You can spew fire from your hands, but so can somebody with a flamethrower. You can blast your foes with lightning with magecraft or a very overcharged battery.
MAHOU however is doing the impossible (reviving the dead, entering another world, truly creating something from nothing, time travel, and so on) that nobody else can do in any way.
Well Merlin said it was a miracle that could only be achieved if one searched forever and the other waited forever. So basically, Shirou and Saber told Gaia and Zeltrech they can go fuck themselves because
Get the fuck out other girls, you aren't his soulmate.
Gonna borrow this thread to ask a question:
I just finished watching the 25 episodes of Fate/Zero and the 6 Einzbern Consultation things.
What else should I watch from the series, and in what order?
He could always work in construction..
Except that using MirrorMoon terminology (the fourth set in >>100498537) instead of arai's terminology (the first set), majutsu is magic and mahou is sorcery.
Hence it's all the same shit. From the context it should have been obvious which terminology set was in use yet everybody spazzed out and went full thaumaturetard.
Continuing the theme of FATE one route at a time. Other heroines just can't compete.
Read the Fate/Stay Night VN.
Don't you dare fucking try to watch the anime I will gouge out your eyes.
Basically, having Avalon in his body for 10 years turned his body into Saber's perfect waifu.
It's like Saber had an unwitting Hikaru Genji plan.
Well, you were supposed to go through Fate/Stay Night first, but...
Read the original next, I guess. I strongly suggest against watching it. The anime adaptation received rather mixed reviews.
Fate Stay Night VN
Fate Extra CCC
I just want to hold him down and tear off his panties and tear apart his boypussy until he loves it
Mirror moon's terminology was fine. "Sorcery" sounds way cooler than just "magic" and magecraft sounds more like an obscure magical form of science, which is what majutsu is when you get down to it.
But Rin is a tsundere.
Doesn't that balance it out?
Hasubando, but yeah. I never thought of it like that.
Is it wrong to want to see what the infamous 'Forest of Impalement' would have looked like? Apparently it was something 20,000 Soldiers laid out, almost thick as trees (hence the name obviously) with some of them not even dead yet.
I have to say...that is one HELL of a scare tactic.
Jack a shit
>Jack the Ripper as a loli
>Overall great stats everywhere
...So is growing a pair of tits some kind of bizarre stat modifier or something?
It's close. Then at least we can agree that Sakura can't need not apply.
They weren't dead when the impaling began, but you can certainly bet they were dead by the time they get put up as a "tree".
It sort of goes through their entire body.
Something about Enkidu and the "truth" it contains, looking at it makes Shirou's mind go blank. So he can't trace it because he cant have it in his mind.
Uh, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Everybody complained "hur hur shirou can't magic" pretending that OP meant mahou, when it was obvious he was going by MirrorMoon and/or UTW and/or Aniplex terminology where magic means majutsu.
>four Cs and one E
>"great stats everywhere"
I mean, for an Assassin, maybe..?
Thats not great good sir, keep in mind she has E rank Madness enchant so her stats are boosted slightly.
You're thinking of Ea, that's never mentioned with Enkidu.
I've heard a story of Vlad eating dinner under an impaled Bishop or something like that who took three Days to die...
Also heard he impaled a man's wife because them an had a shabby shirt and she obviously didn't perform the adequate stitching on it, though he did give him another Wife so I guess he's not...so bad...
If this is a smear campaign, it's a pretty entertaining one.
He does somthing similar in the big ass battle between the red and Blacks.
He walks throught the battlefield and is supposed to have killed over 10,000 dragons teeth with his np.
That battle is one of the reasons i am so looking forward to an anime version.
At least some of it was played up by his own people to make Wallachia all the more fierce. And because they really, really hate Turks.
What's happening with Apocrypha translation anyway? Last I remember CanonRap just did the first chapter or so and Commie was stalled forever.
I don't have that CG and I've done UBW. When do you get that?
I just want commie to finish Mahoyo. Apparently they're actually at 100% according to what the TL posted in the comments, they're just too lazy to update the %.
The lads supposed to have been a bit heavy handed with the sentance, but he always followed the law, and judged people equally regardless of status.
surprisingly he's more likely to have killed a bishop of wrongdoing (doing anything to a memeber of the church at that stage was a massive nono) . Killing a woman because she made shitty clothes for her husband doesn't suit his image at all.
It's from Fate
It shows up all over the place when Shirou checks out his body whenever UBW saves him and he's like "huh. Pretty sure those swords aren't supposed to be there."
Enkidu the weapon is apparently somewhat sentient as he bros up with it in Ataraxia briefly from the sound of things, and it won't turn against him it seems. It might not literally be haunted by Enkidu, but there's obviously some reason he would name it as such.
Pops up a handful of times in every route, never added to the CG menu I think. It's technically a background?
It appears in literally every single route at least once, multiple times in bad ends.
Apparently you haven't been looking at the screen.
The CG is from Fate initially, but it's re-used liberally. It's in the Fate gallery, but that scene is one of the early nights in UBW when Shirou dreams about being in his reality marble.
Great for an Assassin I meant. She's not meant to be in direct combat but her stats are more than good enough she would survive if pushed into it. Keep in mind the average assassin is meant to have both D in strength and endurance, and only a B in agility.
It's kind of depressing and hilarious that his natural reaction is just to ignore them.
Goes on to just plain depressing in Heaven's Feel when the swords are actually there.
"My leg is making an odd noise like scraping metal, but I'm just going to continue on."
That one was Fate route after he gets cut in half by Gilgamesh, but it's from every route.
Seems you missed out on one of the truths of the game here; in that Shirou's blade poison is in every route, but we only see it out of control in the last route. His body turns into steel as a way of defense to protect him from damage at times, like when he fights Rider briefly in Fate route and she says her blade can no longer cut him and she just kicks him off the roof, but it's a very dangerous for the user mode of defense.
He literally could not bear to look down and see that, so he just kept choosing to look away at the end of Heaven's Feel.
Could this be it?
In>>100487709 he's dreaming and the moment he sees that he wakes up screaming to check if his body is alright.
Enkidu is literally the one weapon that won't betray Gil. In Prisma Ilya it's the one weapon that gets turned against Gil and just goes "fuck that" when used against him. Helps him get back a few of his stolen Noble Phantasms too...
And those ridiculous pauldrons.
And that leather strap between his legs that don't seem to serve any purpose.
Well he didn't look in HF because he didn't want to. He offhand mentions his body literally being made of blades after the Saber fight, but immediately looks away. In the narration he intentionally avoids looking at his own body a couple times. He just keeps walking and tries to ignore his joints fusing together and his bones turning into metal. It's like how you're not supposed to look down when you're on a bridge or whatever. Ignorance is bliss.
>Implying Prisma Illya can be used as evidence
>DEEN didn't have that dream sequence
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!! It was so good, too. Creepy as fuck and good foreshadowing.
1. nothing wrong with huge, imposing pauldrons. They don't redirect force at his vitals, so they're fine.
2. it would probably hold a sheath but he has no use for sheaths.
More proof that the anime is shit?
It might not be in the main CG gallery since it's used to often. Isn't there a separate gallery for the frequently reused images?
The strap is a keepsake from Enkidu, if you're to go by his design in Strange Fake. Lord knows Nasu is.
I think of WoW every time I see those ridiculously big shoulder turtles. Goddamn it looks stupid. Along with his spiky hair. His normal design is way better.
They just look stupid, although now that I think about it, an arrogant asshole having oversized pauldrons makes perfect sense.
It had the one, right after Archer nukes Berserker.
Yes, but there's still a shit ton of those that I don't have. It could be any of them.
I find it funny that only the route openings have so far done UBW any justice.
Don't forget LoliRipper's NP that makes people forget facts about her
considering she's a assassin class, so long as she leaves no physical evidence of her presence behind, she's basically going to continue to be a unknown factor. This means she has the best survivability if Assassin Class to date, minus Red Assassin of cource.
There is no rule saying that a fake can't surpass the original.
There is, but I can't seem to find the CG either. Although I don't have all the pictures either since I didn't play through on the RN patch.
The thing about pauldrons is that the shoulder is pretty much the perfect intersection of "need to be protected" and "easiest to protect" place you can get on your body. They're simple and you can make them super-heavy. So long as they don't obstruct your vision (I'm looking at you, space marines), the bigger and heavier is the more effective. Gil can clearly see over his shoulders, so they're good.
Now if only he had a helmet.
Helmets aren't heroic!
Your option is instead the weird face guards that Black Saber and Jeanne have.
No because its sealed as a concept inside the person
Mordred has a helmet...
not by choice, but still.
I'm imagining Gilgamesh wearing a fabulous golden facemask
An imitation can surpass the original, but in doing so it will no longer be a copy, rather it will become it's own truth.
It's like the rule of clones; Luke can surpass Ashe or Kaine Parker can surpass Peter Parker, but as soon as he separates from the original and becomes something else he'll no longer be just an imitation but will become his own person. Gae Bolg can surpass Gungnir, but at that point it can no longer be considered a clone considering it's already become it's own self and has branches off so much that it holds no similarity to it's origin.
Of course that's not typically how it works in nasu
You're all forgetting Shirou can also use Broken Phantasm. If you sacrifice the Noble Phantasm it gets a letter grade rank up in power. Since Shirou can just trace another, he potentially has one full power attack for each projection.
You can't separate from your origin in Type-Moon. Surpassing the prototype just makes you particularly awesome.
Origin is origin, it's still a big theme even in CCC. Where one character has fused with the power of the original god which humans sprang from, and thus she has dominion of all things of Earth. One cannot fight against her, one cannot even think about fighting against her if they are of Earth as she is the system of life itself. Still one can fight against such a thing by embuning themselves with an origin of equal power, the original genotype of humanity which is likened to the [root] by Archer.
Shit is crazy
Fucking give us CCC already, Japan! ;_;
I'm playing F/E right now and it feels empty in comparison to what I could be experiencing...
He should become an OSHA-Inspector.
BPs cost way too much prana to be used consistently.
He doesn't get a discount for that. So basically shirou needs to use the prauna to project the weapon, the prauna to activate its effect and then the prauna to go beyond that amount enough so that it breaks.Archer having B prauna explains why he can do it, but Shirou doesn't have nearly that amount.
He just need to jackhammer the bitch or wormslut for more juice.
Nothing is said about the prana cost in the game, it's just that they take awhile to charge up.
I doubt Sakura will share him with her sister.
1: It's also a metaphor calling back to his dream, and how despite the fact that his ideals are copied they can still match the original, Kerry's
2: He's taunting/threatening Gilgamesh
3: His victory is assured, he knows Gil's originals are about to get wrecked
You don't need to dig too deep into cool one-liners. It was a damn cool moment and he was just insulting Gilgamesh now that he'd finally lost his cool.
>You will never mock the "Servant Destroyer" and live to tell about it
It's mentioned that they must be charged beyond their capacity. This implies a heavy cost considering that the bolg (Something thats considered to be extremely cheap NP-wise) can be used 7 times by somone with C mana.
Holy shit, do you not understand how Shirou's magecraft works? Archer utilizes Alteration to make the NPs he traces into Broken Phantasms. That's why it takes time. He isn't just changing the shape of something, he's pumping it full of prana, altering it and preparing it for detonation.
They just take time to charge up, they never say they cost a shitload of mana.
The way I always imagined it was Archer more literally breaking apart the NP with his knowledge of its structure until he makes it fragile enough that it'll explode, along with the normal power behind it.
If Shirou can trace them with their normal capacity, I'd imagine that at the end of UBW when he actually knows how to do his shit, he could overcharge at least one NP. If he has the energy to make one standard kaladbolg II and put all of the rest of his energy into breaking it, I'm pretty sure he could use it. Just not very many times.
>Take time to charge up
But with what anon ?
It would take some pretty interesting circumstances but it is possible. Shirou's harem is nothing like Shiki's thankfully, and most of the girls get along well. It would even be possible to get the girls to agree to a 5p and get Rin to attempt uterus sex...
Couldn't Archer have snipe-nuked Caster from the City skyscrapers if he wanted to?
Er, do you even know how Noble Phantasms work? They take energy to be used and EMIYA is putting more than necessary into them so they explode.
Yeah, quite a few of us want it
But why would he?
In HF he makes one Caladbolg but its not BP its just a regular one he chucks at saber.
I can't remember an instance when shirou uses a BP.
Archer could have rekt literally everyone if he wasn't a retard.
Stand on skyscraper 4km away, fire caladbolg and some arrows (run if they survive for too long) and just repeat the process until enemies are dead, out of command spells or exhausted enough that you can finish them off. He wouldn't even need to use UBW
But Shirou does have nearly that amount, at least in human terms.
He can resist Medusa's eyes but only barely.
Why do magi practice thaumaturgy? Wouldn't it make more sense to call them thaumaturges, then?
Rin wouldn't let that happen though.
If Kerry was his master on the other hand, they'll just snipe nuking all day everyday especially Fast Wheel's place.
Thaumaturgy is a synonym for Magecraft.
In japanese words, it's Majutsu and they are Majutsushi.
>if he wasn't a retard
>implying he cares about winning
It's probably more complicated than just needing enough prana to pump into it. It might involve high level Alteration (more than just changing the shape of the sword) to make it not explode his hands or something. Magecraft is supposed to be a lifetime taking thing to learn, I wouldn't be surprised if using BPs with NPs that aren't yours would be difficult.
I suppose in the UBW he didn't care until she became part of 'the plan' but in Fate and HF why wouldn't he take out a dangerous opponent from complete safety?
Maybe if he cared about winning he would have.
If he did, and Kerry was his master, those two seriously would win the war in a day or two by playing like royal assholes.
Why would Rin care about him killing Servants? If you mean collateral, most Masters didn't stay in tightly (like an apartment or something) populated areas and a caladbolg explosion isn't /that/ big.
I know. If he did actually try, the plot wouldn't exist.
It's mentioned that the one he used against Berserker in the beginning was BP which is why he needed time to prepare, and in Ataraxia he fires off BP bullets with thirty second intervals at Saber
Still people often confuse Caldobolg(Portable Nuke) with Hrunting(Homing arrow) despite the usages being very different. When he wanted to level the entire graveyard at once it was Caldobolg, but for Hrunting to even reach a similar effect it has to fire off at least fives times or so previously, and even then the effect is less.
Caldobolg is also the one he fired off against Caster once that crippled her wings and almost took her out entirely with even an indirect hit, since it warps and cracks all space around it with it's massive power. It forcibly tears a hole in the air and space around it to cause massive indirect damage even if you manage to avoid the nuke.
It's also confirmed to be at least A rank
Because she's someone he can take out with relative ease and a reasonable chance of success on the first try.
Because he doesn't want to show off his abilities.
Because he doesn't care.
He ends up caring about winning in Extra. Even then he calls the Grail nothing more than a Monkey's Paw, but it says it would still be nice to have around.
Main Character power is hard to beat
I loved that fight
>Meh, I'll try to kill you once
>Proceeds to kick her ass like it's not even a challenge, misses his killshot intentionally
>Meh, I said I'd try once
This is why he turns men gay. That, and his and Shirou's ability is just fucking cool.
It's stated in the VN twice over why he let her live
She was still something he considered to be "of use" to him.
Given than Excalibur Galatine is A+ and that the two are the same sword model, I think it's pretty safe to assume Caladbolg is A+ as well.
I'm really salty that Caster's super duper advanced Magic came down to raining balls of energy from the sky at everyone, sure they're said to be a one hit kill if they hit (or something like that) but it's underwhelming.
And Rin even having a hope against her, I think Rin should have less chance of beating Caster in a magic duel than Shirou does at beating Saber in a deathmatch sword fight.
I like how she can buff humans to trans-Servant levels of strength (It was the Teacher dude who beat Rider to death right?), that makes you feel that her magic is actually good.
Shirou's powerlevel is nothing. Archer's powerlevel is bullshit. I love it.
Could Cu not have dones the same thing to the majority of servants ?
Rin didn't fight Caster in a magic duel.
She's not a combat specialist. She's just using the simplest means available to her, as she's a magi.
It's gonna attract attention if she lets ACHAA do that especially on a constant basis. It's harder to cover up compared to "gas leaks".
Don't get me started on Lancer, he has this attack that's so hard to escape because it's hit you before he even moves his arm...then he misses his mark completely.
I know Saber's luck affected it (Does Lancer have awful Luck on top of that) but it still completely fucking undermined Gae Bolg within minutes of introducing it.
Reasons Rin could stand up to her/win:
>She brought a shit ton of jewels with years upon years of prana in them to compensate for the huge difference in their abilities
>She's still a genius magus
>She took Caster completely by surprise with her kung-fu shit, the prana blasting was all just a ploy until Rin had a chance to kick the shit out of her
Her victory relied entirely upon her careful and over the top preparation and sneak attack. It's not like it was easy. Caster has zero close range abilities.
So how screwed would the F/SN cast be if Medea got F/Z Caster's book?
Giving it to someone who can use it the way it deserves in other words.
What difference would that make?
He can't throw his gay bulge nearly as far or as accurately as Archer's BNPs and he can't use gay bulge's insta-kill on a target kilometers away.
I liked his sleights of hand.
>look at my hands, I have swords
>look to your right, I just threw that kiddo
>now back to me, oh no I'm stuck
>now back to you, my swords are gone!
>look at me breaking free, have some sword!
Of course, because there's actually a small chance of Shirou beating Arthur with his accumulated technique of Crane Wing. However Rin who relies on logic and tends not to be able to pull shit out on the fly can't beat a magus who makes basically any other magus alive currently look like a joke. Rin just doesn't have that certain something that Shirou would have here even if she is stronger than him, that would allow her to triumph against something impossible by being more impossible.
Still Rin was smart enough to make the battle not a magic contest in the first place, which is why she almost won. Still it's not just her buffing that allowed Kuzuki to kill Rider, since even she was stated to be the most in shock after he almost killed Saber. The guy was just a trained assassin from birth who once he was buffed up to the level of a servant could usher in a skill that could take even the most seasoned of warriors by surprise as long as they had not seen it previously.
Nasu loves a good assassin, which is why even someone who had trained to the utmost in another area might not be able to compete against such a thing. The guy is actually very beatable if you've seen his shit before, but if you haven't then even Bazett could be taken down easily.
>Caster has zero close range abilities.
She's still a Servant though, she should theoretically be able kick Rin's ribs out through her back with little effort.
Judging by previous replies, I think we can safely say the layman's answer is "Swords from the swords dimension."
There's three ways to not be killed by Gae Bolg
She could command and defend the tentacle god.
Can't she use the book to do shit that makes Caster's Cthulu monster look like a joke?
but he is the sword dimension
Bitch please, maximum range is 40km. Even without heart pierce it's still a B+ attack with homing properties that JUST. WON'T. STOP.
This was fucking bullshit, I don't fucking care if she was reinforced (was she?can't remember). Caster might be weak as fuck and shit at fighting the way they were, but she's still a servant with 10 times the strength of a human, 20 times the END and 30 times the AGI.
Archer's fighting style was great in that scene, I wish we could've seen more of how he really fights. Berserker fight was cut out, he literally kicked True Assassin's ass really quick, and his battle against Lancer was just a time stall.
The book only does two things.
1. generate prana to summon the tentacle god.
2. summon the tentacle god.
The mini-tentacles are like the skin flakes of the big boss rather than independent beings.
Didn't his thrown gay bulge needs LOS at least to home in?
Magi can buff themselves as well to go over peak human power
>The Lance of Sure Hit vs The Shield of No Loss
At the very least, Nasu had cool names for his fight scenes.
Preventing him from using it is standard, but the Shield tech should only work if it's put up before he says the words, not afterwards which is what would almost certainly happen if it was animated.
Also, if you throw up the Shield, he can just...not use it.
So I feel that if he's using it it's because he knows he'll kill with it and there shouldn't be anything you can do...besides Luck BS. (What does that even mean? That he fucked up his lunge? Isn't he a Lance master?)
That I don't know, I just know that Lancer can throw it 40km.
>Bitch please, maximum range is 40km
I'm not sure the Range measurements of NPs are in kilometers.
I interpreted them as meters, really, since he springs thrown-bulge on Archer from under 50 meters despite leaping 100 meters away.
>Can't throw the bolg as far or as accurately as Archers BNPs
In H/A he says the farthest he's thrown it was 40 KM, not to mention rather than 'it always hits the heart' it carrys the effect that 'it will always hit the enemy even if its dodged'.
It can't miss.
I wish we'd seen more of his fight against Fake Assassin. Rather than the creating-false-openings-for-QTE style, he utilized a dancing swift style that had Shirou drooling.
>Look, up in the sky! It's a bird!
>It's a plane!
>No, it's... A lance?
Oh? I thought it was a really cool Magic tool and the Tentacle God only came from caster's sick mind but given flesh by the Book's power.
nah, it's just a prana furnace with a single function. That single function happens to be wildly broken, as you can summon the god in fragments for an unending tide of familiars or in full for a nearly invincible abomination.
However, a true magus could command the beast (Gilles was just going to let it run wild), so Medea would have that advantage.
No, no. KM.
Shirou thinks it could fly to the other side of the planet, Lancer comments that only two other can throw lancers further.
>It can't miss.
What happens if you grabbed it?
Would it explode on contact as your palms approach either side, or will you be thrown back from the force of the Lance throw until you hit a wall, the inertia of the Lance breaks your arms and finally hits you?
He could hit and kill a person in Wales from Ireland
I really don't recall that part.
>Complaining about reinforced Rin beating down Caster
>Caster reinforced Souchirou so he could do the same to Saber
Rin is an expert in reinforcement who knows Kung fu. Caster is a superhuman mage who's probably never even thrown a punch. Even if Rin's reinforcement isn't on the same level as Souchirou's, Caster stood no chance.
Too bad Luck isn't nearly as important in F/E where it's a stat you can actually increase, if that stat was more relevant we could have Lancer and Rider classes playable one day.
I don't think I've seen any RPG where Luck was anything more than a waste of points, in Fate it's practically a reality warper.
Enkidu's ability of transformation to match all weapons in creation which rivaled Gate of Babylon was neat.
>Fate/hollow ataraxia - 10/11 - Streets - Blue Panther vs Black Panther
>Lancelot grabs and steals it
>throws back to Cu
>Lancelot has B Luck
>Cu is fucked
Luck is crucial in F/E for surviving against Cu Cuchulain
That bitch is just auto-kill
...that would actually happen wouldn't it?
He'll just have to use his greatest Rune skill to block it, the one that can stop even greater phatasms
I'm on the Rani path atm so I think I face him instead of Vlad this time?
Are you saying I need to start boosting Luck?
>Not just blocking it with Archer
The fact that his Lance was grabbed mid flight and chucked back at him has to sting though...
Nah, who needs luck when you have a hail of exploding swords?
Shit, meant >>100505147.
She's "proficient" in reinforcement enough to allow her to run 100 meters in 7 seconds. Caster has 30 times the speed of the average human and 20 times the endurance. Caster could also reinforce herself. If you actually believe that should have been possible, let alone think that she stood no chance - you're a retard.
Well I have Caster, would Aphotic Cave suffice?
I actually wish I just picked Archer tbh, Caster isn't nearly as fun as I expected, though she's such a delight to have as a Servant otherwise.
Gae Bolg is literally luck based auto-kill
You either need enough luck or skill to know when he's going to use it to use Rho Aias, or just be very lucky. However the damage will be around 1500 to 3000 by average if you have shit luck. Trying to block it with Rho Aias may be the best bet a lot of the time, and it's the only way that won't net you a chance of dying, but it will cost some real mana.
Either that or take him out before he uses it by overloading STR
I mentioned earlier my "canon stats Archer" run. Yeah, well at about the time you face Lancer you have Archer's canon stats. The fight is fairly tough and will take a fair while.
So I had E-rank luck, not a single point put into it. I had to block Gae Bolg 3 times. Didn't even die and managed to win on my first try.
If anything, Lancer should be using Gae Bolg on Masters.
Every servant should be gunning for Master's on anyone that isn't Archer due to his Independent Action.
Especially Assassin, honestly, the fifth HGW looks like a kiddy tournament compared to the fourth.
CCC's Lancer fight really makes me laugh with Archer. If you block it, Lancer just goes "HOW!" and Kotomine just sighs and goes "Time and again, why does you lance never hit anyone?"
It's not just a matter of physical ability. The point was that Kuzuki was able to catch Saber off-guard much the same way Rin caught Caster. The difference being where Kuzuki had an unusual fighting style and some serious reinforcement, Rin just had the advantage that Caster has literally zero melee experience and was probably too shocked at the prospect of a mage wailing on her in melee to put up any sort of resistance.
She's a lot funner in CCC where you can enjoy her broken NP and explosive crotch kicks endlessly.
My main annoyance is that if I want to grind in the Arena, I'll run out of MP fast and be left with a shit attacker, she needed to have either way more MP or we should be able to buy MP recovery items.
Recover_Mp + 99 Curry Breads?
She gets an auto-recovery MP ability later on, and certain abilities can recover MP if used right. But as long as this is more than your first playthrough it should be doable enough to work as just an attack without even using magic most of the time even with Caster.
...But you can buy mp recovery items. Before you enter the arena anyways.
She's such a fucking qt.314. Please tell me there are non lewd doujins out there of her ears being stroked like she offers to the MC at one point?
And speaking of lewd, she's surprisingly sexual, she's barely able to hide the fact that she wants to jump the MC's bones, I giggled a little when she said the enemy Caster and her Master were 'trollops' who were 'eye humping you'.
