What does /a/ think about Starship Operators?
What does /a/ think about... what?
supposedly shit, which is why i haven't watched it yet...so i'd like to know too
i watched sky girls, i haven't seen rocket girls, but think space girls would be great
I've watched two episodes of it. It's not *bad*, but it's not *great* either.
i'd let them operate my starship, if you know what i mean
Spaceship stuff good, character stuff not so much.
Hey, let's give the supposedly main character a romantic interest in the second half of the show that we never ever saw in the first half, in such a way that he is obviously going to die in two or so episodes, and she will totally forget about him.
If you liked planetes you'll like this. I thought it was great.
You have a starship?
>>10047102 doesnt know what the fuck he's saying.
Altho an ok anime, it's nowhere near planetes' level
what? no, i'm trying to suggest se-... oh forget it
Starship Operators: original premise (realistic space battles + reality TV) ruined by poor execution
though it's still worth watching if you like space battles and stuff
not saying its as good as planetes, but its in the same kind of vein
Nice basic idea that wasn't ruined by adding mechs, strange superpowers or moeblobs. Still nothing breathtaking, but a good watch.
this was boring, but some reason i watched it all.
It kinda reminded me of Star Trek without the self-righteousness.
takai was pretty cool
A group of cadets make a contract with a galactic TV network to buy out a highly-advanced warship and fight to liberate their homeworld in exchange for turning their lives into a reality TV show.
And this is played STRAIGHT.
What the fuck?
