God I'm gonna miss Gintama.
The anime will still continue
I started to get tired of Gintama's "serious" arcs. The comedy was always good, but the serious/battle stuff got way too samey for me. It made me sad that the last parts of the anime were just main arcs with none of the in-between stuff animated. The Gintoki fucking arc was the best out of them.
>there are people that don't think Tama is best girl
Tama is the best girl, Tsukuyo is the best girl for Gintoki.
are they parodying Aizen and Ichigo in that pic?
That sounds a bit farfetched looks like a very generic pose to me, I can see what you mean though.
>there are people that don't think Gin is best girl
With the way the Gintama anime has been, you should be expecting a new season.
I didn't really get the ending though
So future Gin was about to kill that hat wearing guy but he couldn't so then present (war Gin) came alongside him and helped him kill the enemy
Then like near the end you see 4 people on the hill/mountain look down in satisfaction
Were all those 4 people future Gins?
Didn't understand his part of looking down. Did he understand that was future people?
; ; mfw I will never have an asian qt gf who wears a kimono and uses a parcel
The biggest problem with recent serious arcs is that they try to build serious drama out of characters that were just being introduced. That, and Sorachi has a tendency to go overboard with dialogue.
what is the "Gintoki fucking arc"?
Those 4 people were Gintoki, Katsura, Takasugi and Sakamoto. I thought that was obvious.
I'm assuming it's the one where Gintoki wakes up from a New Years party and finds out he fucked every girl (and Madao) there.
The arc where Gin gives MADAO the dick.
>Were all those 4 people future Gins?
how can you be this retarded
Ah, literal fucking. I loved that arc, still have it on my hard drive just in case.
Just in case what anon? Crushing depression?
You now realise Gin bullied Tama enough to make her cry at the start of the movie.
It said the final chapter....but is it really the final chapter?
Nah, they'll make more episodes. The anime tends to troll the viewers about ending it quite often.
The one where Gin starts handing out the 'D' like it's candy
The Thorny arc was brilliant.
Wait, he gave Kagura the D too? Sick bastard.
What season was that arc?
For future reference
Season 4, episode 239 + 240
Thanks, I was sure I've watched season 4 when it aired, but I can't remember that arc at all.
Who is leftmost?
Is it bollocks.
>got way too samey
That's why the comedy arc battles were always different
Like I remember a
>Card fighting game
>Jojo-esque stand fight
>The various video game fights like Monkey hunter or the Owee one
Also just remember how awesome that boxing match was
Serious arcs are just there for character development and character backstory.
Kondo was a country bumpkin that was fighting against the Joi.
>he wasn't there for the manga revelation
You missed out bud
The phantom fifth member from the Miracle Generation of the Joui War.
He didn't have a beard
I want to go at Gin's dick like it's candy ;_;
Read the manga.
Was I the only one that thought the movie was pretty mediocre as 75% of it was filler showing hamfisted interaction between the different alternate future characters instead of actual plot?
I mean the show got really boring and stagnant because of it and yet they made a movie almost entirely composed by it
I guess Gintama isn't for you
It's just more Gintama.
>actually looking for plot in Gintama
The comedy arc battles can be hilarious, but apart from Taka-tin, I really hated the fanclub war arc. It's almost as long as Yoshiwara in the anime despite being much shorter in the manga and it just dragged on and on and on...
What are you talking about? 3/4 of the movie was Gintoki runing around trying to find out what happened to him, learning about the disease and searching for Gengai and that was the part of the 'actual plot'. Honestly, what kind of storytelling did you expect? Infodumps, tweeests, ancient evil awekening? Actually I think the movie could use a little less plot and more jokes, because for the most part it was depressing as hell.
Wait you mean the guy in the whole lets-celebrate-him-because-we think-he's-dead-but-is-actually-alive-and-watching-us-from-the-shadows arc?
I thought that dude was the one between gintoki and takasugi
>its just gintama
But thats not gintama, thats what they do when they can't come up with anything.
>? 3/4 of the movie was Gintoki runing around trying to find out what happened to him
no 3/4 part of the movie was meeting and interacting with everyone
So then the guy in that arc is the kondo double on the left? trippy
Probably not considering he has a beard and in the manga the 5th guy didn't
It's not him. It's a random Joui dude lucky enough to be included in the pic. It's been reused a lot. First time it was used, there were a bunch of other guys there as well.
Well people do change over time. I mean sakamoto doesn't look the same in the joui image.
I think the main problem is that all of the serious arcs follow the same formula.
Character introduced, character needs some sort of help, big bad introduced, big bad shits on Gintoki who barely survives, Gintoki comes back and shits on big bad the end. It's been like that for every serious arc but I dont mind too much since the comedy makes up for it.
No the main problem with serious arc is that there is nothing more going on other than gintoki + else fighting against a villain. Characters have no emotions and don't really think in anything
>no 3/4 part of the movie was meeting and interacting with everyone
How the fuck did he suppose to find out what happened? Read a local newspaper? You expected everyone to be dead in the future?
Eh, I can understand that.
I'll miss the show a lot if only because of the god-tier OP and EDs
Yeah Gintama had some incredible music in not only the OST's but the OP/ED's as well
no no, he must be a man, otherwise don´t make sense
Fuck you, I told you to post other pictures than the same 2 you post in every thread faggot.
The only man Gin gonna be with is Madao. Now get that out of here.
How can you miss something when there are no episodes left to broadcast?
There's the manga though and the return of the anime is inevitable.
>the return of the anime is inevitable
Thank god Sunrise doesn't hate money.
It's a crime that no one makes a doujin where he really fucks the girls.
I really can't fap to darling Tsukky being raped by random ugly men.
>Thank god Sunrise doesn't hate money
Does Gintama make a lot of money because the studio where they made Gintama looked liked one of the poorer Sunrise ones
Yeah when I searched Gintama doujins 80% at least were BL
[Keifu Subs] To Love Tsukuyo!! (Gintama) [Studio Tar (Kyouichirou)]
enjoy your fap and laught
you know the drill
It can't be compared to Gundam of course but it should be making decent money based on sales figures.
the dvds sell well.
That one's great, but fapping to that again and again gets boring.
And boring BL too. Need more GinxMadao.
That and the Yagyuu were the only good ones I remember
why is she so perfect, /a/?
What a shit taste
Why are you dumping an old chapter?
Hasegawa's the only man it'd make sense for Gin to be with. If he were into men that is.
I'm guessing he's doing it because >>100474300
She is so delicious.
>Jojo-esque stand fight
I don't remember this one ? What arc is this in ?
I'm gonna miss Cromartie.
Only two chapters left.
She isn't. None of the girls are. That's why they're so great. Also, she's 14.
No sexualising daughteru-tier girls
Well she's 19 in the movie...
But Gura san isn't daughteru-tier. She is more like waifu-tier.
Only in the future. Certainly not Gin's though.
Help me /a/. I really don't want to sexualise Gintama, but it's getting difficult.
Does Tama-quest count as a serious arc
I would think of it as a comedy arc like the stray cat arc
I don't ship her with anybody
Fuck, why is Sougo so perfect
I don't really either. That is the only possible person in the entire series she could legitimately be shipped wit though. They have more like a brother-sister relationship though
How can you even be alive with so much shit taste?
>treating villain like a joke character too
Looks like Gintama will gonna be dragged into a longer period than mangaka planned.
After watching the Santa arc where Gin dresses up as Santa for her it's hard to think of her as being anything but a daughter
That's the thing about Gintama, all of the regular characters are joke characters. Even the villains.
My boner is somehow pleased.
What the fuck happened in that body switch arc?
I could barely follow it in the end
I can only think of her as waifu tier in Gura san form. Anything else and she is definitely daughteru tier.
I' d that Otose
>OH SHIT KAGURA HAS THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS ME! IT'S LIKE SHE WAS MEANT TO BE MY WAI-
>3rd of November instead of 11th of March
Don't you know that the latest movie sold over 100K on top of huge ticket sales? Regular Gintama TV anime has been selling above 10k on average.
It is like an inverse birthday so its close enough right?
O-oh my, literally just finished the movie some minutes ago. Welp, guess a few minutes to go through the thread won't hurt. Though setting that aside, any news of a new season on the horizon?
>Any kind of sexual in any kind of timeline
Only a truy man can give truly pleasure to another man
But it's -not- him. Haven't you been paying attention? It's just a random Joui dude until we're told otherwise.
Nothing so far besides the fact that Gintama makes money and Sunrise loves all that cash.
I really want to watch the movie now, but I just restarted watching the series after getting halfway through it the first time I watched it.
Should I just watch it, or finish the rest of the series.
Finish the rest of the series first.
How many episodes in are you?
I'm 30 episodes into the rewatch, but I was at 150 before I stopped watching Gintama.
Then it should be fine as long as you've already got far enough into the series to know who Tsukky is
If Gintama returns, it won't be the Gintama we know since it sounds like the movie was the last work Sunrise will do for Gintama.
Wait, what? Citation needed.
>it sounds like the movie was the last work Sunrise will do for Gintama
Even voice actors don't believe that shit
Just because it was called the final chapter doesn't mean it would end
I mean I can't even remember how many 'final' episodes they did.
I've been rewatching gintama, and I wonder, how strong is Kondo exactly? I used to think he was a little above a foot soldier, but in the yagyu arc he beats Ayumu with relative ease (and only falls because he destroyed his anus with the sandpaper), and Ayumu himself said that he is levels above the 4 aces, one of which gave even Hijikata a hard time.
>Were all those 4 people future Gins?
How do you not know the three guys Gintoki was fighting with in the joui war?
Eh, she could be shipped with Sougo. Let the siscon be shipped with sis. Or potentially one of those girls that he's been paired with in the past, like the mailbuddy.
>hamfisted interaction between the different alternate future characters
The only hamfisted bits were Sacchan and she was always hamfisted.
Which manga chapters were skipped for season 6's "let's only animate arcs" thing? I feel like checking them out if only to see what was missed.
>implying lovehate isn't the best OTP
forgot my pic
>Eh, she could be shipped with Sougo
Based on their very limited interaction which consists entirely of glaring?
>10 minutes of rambling about piracy
>being so butthurt about camrips
Guess what, the guy with the camera doesn't give a shit and regular customers are just annoyed.
Dude, the joke. The joke!
It's part of the movie.
I think we can safely say that Sougo ≥ Hijikata > Kondo
And fighting and being the most powerful combo. So strong even fujoshi ship it.
Kondo is the head (or will be the head) of the dojo where Sogo and Toshiro studied so he's probably around their level at least.
384 and 385 are what come to mind off the top of my head. Can't remember the others.
I think Sorachi has stated that the three of them are roughly around the same level of swordsmanship, but on a technical level Sougo is the best.
But Gintama is an exception... I go with fujo routes in many manga but in Gintama you can't take that shit in a serious way, yaoi couples are meant to be drama, angst and anything that is not Gintama.
No they're meant to be two dudes who don't have any chemistry fucking each other because they're so good-looking.
Ha. It'll be back and Sunrise will work on it. I'm sure of it. Not only do they love the money, they seem to actually love working on it.
>implying comedy djs aren't the best djs
What are you, some kind of entry level fujo?
They love to pretend they don't work on it.
Indeed. But they can't fool us.
The problem is that the loanword フェミニスト doesn't quite mean what "feminist" does in English.
