Sup /a/. What's the best standalone animu movie? Mononoke? Akira, maybe?
I can't decide.
Ahh, how volatile my tastes are. Umi ga Kikoeru.
I loved mindgame
OP did not ask for your fucking taste. He asked for the best.
Anything miyazaki has ever touched.
Samurai X: Trust/Betrayal OVAs... those count?
My favorite is probably Millennium Actress.
Hard to say, there's a good number of awesome movies coming from many genres.
...eh. Awesome, yes. Undeniably.
ghost in the shell
girl who leaped through time
all good movies
ZERO OUT OF TEN.
Justify why your movies are best or gtfo.
Ghost in the Shell
at least use the fucking full title you faggot.
*Avoids making crap joke about Stand Alone and GitS: Stand Alone Complex: SSS*
that would make this entire thread tl;dr.
No, it's an OVA. Overrated, just like everything else anyway.
It's not like we had anything to confuse it with until they rolled out that shitty horror series last year.
The girl who lept through time
Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind (my fav Miyazaki film)
This is my opinion. You may freely persecute me for not being an artfag by doing none of these: searching for a 'hidden' narrative, appreciating animation, or themes.
I don't see anything inherently wrong with your crude drawing. The value for "Fucking stupid" can be replaced with "Unrealistic" which is what you actually meant.
But I would argue that if you're shooting for realism, then nothing will be better than live action, and you shouldn't be watching cartoons.
So do just that. Stop watching cartoons.
Your opinion sucks lol.
Tokyo Godfathers, Millennium actress or Mindgame IMO.
Remember X? Watch that if you haven't already. Not saying it's the best, but it was for its time
Ghost in the Shell
but Venus Wars and Genocyber are cool too, and A Wind called Amnesia... and maybe Jin Roh... jeez I guess most movies from 85-95 are good.
Paprika, there is nothing better.
Hidden narrative? GB2/SKOOL/
LISTEN TO THIS MAN
Totoro, of course
