>show starts airing
>it has a manga that nobody ever read
>first episode airs
>people discussing the show in a thread
>6 trillion anons go and read the manga
>second episode airs
>everyone talking about the manga and not the show
>every subsequent thread about the show becomes a manga thread
>spoilers every fucking where
>never go in the threads again
I only like discussing anime originals with /a/ that are currently airing. I can't put myself through lurking or posting in a thread with an ongoing show that has a manga
I hate you people.
This. Fucking this. We need to seperate the two.
Maybe you should actually read manga like any sane person would.
If the anime is worth a damn, spoilers don't matter
Wouldn't it be a lot more interesting for everyone if that guy didn't spoil Pupipo for everyone just before the twist happened?
Uh... Yes they do?
Would you watch a show like Code Geass, if some fucking retard kept saying what was going to happen next?
People who can read moon runes spoiling untranslated shit is annoying.
>If the anime is worth a damn
Greentexting instead of writing like a normal human being is a good way to send your thread to the bottom of page 10. Next time, turn those meme arrows into commas and periods.
Would you watch a show like [anime that is worth a damn], if some fucking retard kept saying what was going to happen next?
That really doesn't happen so much.
What if I like hacky tweests that are ruined if you know them ahead of time?
So now the anime is almost worthless?
/a/ is shit since nobody respect the rules.
>Please never post again
Spoilers are clearly a rule here.
It's called the quotation inclusion function.
Fucking hell, you go it OP. I can never end up talking about just the anime most of the time.
Go fuck yourself.
So who is OP quoting?
I was speaking a language he could understand. Besides, you do notice that he wasn't quoting anyone.
You mean like in Madoka Rebellion where Homura betrays everyone and becomes a demon at the end?
people like you are called "secondaries"
He's quoting events/actions
Depends. I can't say I have a lot of faith in adaptations. But yeah, it's nice to see some things animated. An anime is often just an ad for the manga or source..
Kind of like that, except then I knew I don't need to ever watch that, so it was actually helpful
There are people who prefer discovering a manga by watching its anime adaptation.
Yes please, input more buzzword into /a/ instead of clearly expressing yourself.
Fuck you. Leave.
No they are referred to as "faggots"
Don't worry OP, even the anime originals aren't safe anymore. Before the Christmas break some fag was posting spoilers for the next two episodes of Samurai Flamenco each week that he got from pre-screenings.
Try reading the manga like the rest of the board then. That's what I'm doing for Witch Craft Works, and it's fucking fantastic. I'm still following the anime, but I don't want to wait a week between episodes when I need more Tanpopo and Imouto.
I'm glad he did, otherwise I wouldn't have dropped the shit as fast as I could.
I fine it ironic you bash him for the way he types his posts when you say shit like "meme arrows."
If you go to /a/ for something with pre existing material and don't expect spoilers you are fucking retarded.
>Purposeful spoiling of a series may result in post deletion and temporary ban.
Remember when this rule was actually enforced?
>Complaining about spoilers
Stop being a faggot.
It's going to happen in an Anon community. There's no way to fight that. If you split threads or boards, spoilers will still get posted.
I was tired of avoiding my madoka threads so I went ahead and watched the shitty camrip of the new movie, and that's okay. I don't expect /a/ to change for me.
Meh, people don't usually spoil untranslated manga except when its a very popular show, and if it is translated is your own fault for not reading it.
Now, shows adapted from LN, those really are problem cause people spoil shit they haven't even read themselves, just summaries they read on the internet.
But don't you know, spoiling things untagged, even when the source material is in moon and/or impossible to obtain, is epic for the win! Why won't you post like like a /b/rother, HUH?
And Eva 4.0 is going to be even worse for this.
But luckily it'll probably be such a clusterfuck that no few lines could possibly spoil all the shit that happens in it.
If you're being spoiled like this, it says a lot about what you watch or read.
>>first episode airs
>>people discussing the show in a thread
>>6 trillion anons go and read the manga
>>second episode airs
>>everyone talking about the manga and not the show
This is honestly one of my favorite things about /a/. It makes me want to go out and read more manga. And as we all know
Reading > Watching
It's impossible for you to think that.
People not using spoilers properly is the legitimate number 1 problem with /a/. Not invasions from wherever, not any form of generic shitposting, not whatever else you might think the problem with /a/ is. Not using spoilers properly ruins the show for someone who hasn't seen it and I can't think of anything worse for a board meant for fans of anime and manga. It's bad enough when people do it unintentionally, but the worst fucking thing I have ever seen on 4chan, the thing that pisses me off more than some of the most depraved shit I've seen on /b/, is when someone intentionally spoils a series for someone becuase they said they just started watching it.
This happened to me an a Gundam thread a couple years ago. I mentioned that I just started watching LotGH and thought it had shitty space battles compared to the gundam series, but was looking forward to the character interactions and thought they were already shaping up to be better than most of the gundam characters. First reply was someone spoiling everything that happens in the latter half of the series. I still haven't been able to watch the rest. Dropped it at episode 7 because I didn't care anymore.
Fuck people who spoil series. Fuck them long and hard.
>Reading > Watching
That's so wrong, it's ONLY true if the adaptation is really shitty or unfaithful. Adding a soundtrack alone improves it dramatically.
It's because there's nothing in the background that I actually enjoy reading manga. Only a god-tier OST changes that.
soundtrack also covers voice overs too, which is also nice, it's easier to cover their emotions. Though honestly, I really like a little music, effects and voices to something, it gives it more character.
>show starts airing
>Its an LN adaptation
>everyone goes and reads the LN
>they all develop superiority complexes as if reading at a 3rd grave reading level is impressive
Seriously, LNfags are the absolute worst.
It doesn't help that LN translations tend to suck too. So if you don't speak nip you're stuck between two shitty choices. Not that I blame the translators, translation can be a real pain in the ass, manga translators have it EASY in comparison.
OP fuck you and people like you
look at the god damn catalog 95%+ anime 5% manga.
1 fucking thing on /a/ where anime babies know how it feels and they bitch and moan.
board separation when
Why are you fags so asspained about being spoiled? If the writing's any good, then how it happens is much more important than what happens itself.
>1 fucking thing on /a/ where anime babies know how it feels
When has an anime thread ever spoiled a series for a manga fan?
I mean actually being able to discuss a manga after an anime is out.
It's always the 5 people on /a/ who read manga with exceptions to the super popular series we have our little threads then an anime is announced and when it starts any discussion will be flooded by the masses of anime watchers
And a cooked meal tastes a lot better than all the individual ingredients, but it's not going to taste as good if someone spills flour all over it.
All the time.
Ok, but the OP is complaining about being spoiled. Plain and simple, just use spoiler tags properly. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that you add two keystrokes to your post if it contains plot spoilers. I also don't think it's asking to much to not add those two keystrokes to the punchline of all your jokes on /a/. Am I wrong?
From watching the SnK thing happen, it was actually a bunch of butthurt animefags which spoiled everyone.
I don't care if it's mangafags or animefags doing it. Anyone spoiling a series for someone else is a flaming piece of shit, plain and simple.
Yeah I know. Ee has to fucking deal his kind has this entire board
the very small minority of manga readers have to deal with much much worse we can't even discuss anything we read beyond 5 posts because no one /a/ has the attention span to read a picture book
Are you seriously saying that having a small inactive thread about what your reading is worse than having a series spoiled? I feel like you're seriously defending the practice of intentionally spoiling a series for someone, but that can't be right.
Anime is nice but god I hate Manga
I'm sorry that is not what I meant spoiling anything when someone doesn't want to be spoiled is just being a faggot.
What I'm saying is he can actually discuss what he wants on this board because its what the overwhelmingly large majority of threads are about anime. Manga readers can't discuss manga at all besides the insanely popular series.
I'd much rather be able to actually have a discussion and get spoiled once in a while then not being able to discuss anything at all
