Why is it so hard to find a romance show or manga targeted at men?
WHY ARE THEY ALL EITHER YAOI, REVERSE HAREMS OR BISHOUNEN-FILLED CRAP /a/?
WHY CANT WE SHED MANLY TEARS ANYMORE WITH ALL THIS FUJOSHIT/OTOME PANDERING? WHY /a/?
Harenshits are aimed at men, faggot ,and it's all romance drap.
There are a gazillion more haremshits than otomeshit/shoujoshit so stop whining.
Harems don't count as romance.
>There are a gazillion more haremshits than otomeshit/shoujoshit so stop whining.
You pout a reverse harem in your OP and you dare saying harem don't count as romance ?
Reverse harems are "romantic" because the MC grill has a relationship with the gay guys that focuses on the "emotional side".
Whereas most harems are just the MC fucking all the sluts.
Other than haremshit, name AT LEAST 10 romance manga or shows targeted at men.
Get the fuck out.
You're the fujoshit.
You're the one who's supposed to get out.
>fucking all the sluts
trying to trick /a/ into giving you a reading list. 2/10
Hello, this ended only a few weeks ago. Golden Time is still going on as well.
Never heard of it.
And Golden Time is meh.
>implying it isn't like that
You go tell yourself that.
Why do you hate bishounen? Don't you prefer everything to be eye candy?
I'll probably get called a troll, but Kimi Machi
gaia pls go
You aren't straight, are you?
The Pilot's Love Song looks pretty manly.
holy shit it's IRC at work
But anon, that's not targeted at men. That's targeted at boys.
>I joined /a/ a week ago.
Hell no. Most boring orientation.
Aw, that's cute. You're projecting.
I heard the male Yaoi fanbase is extremely small.
Do you mind fujoshit?
>Do you mind fujoshit?
I have enjoyed a few, but, like everything, most of it is shit.
Aren't like all romantic comedies that aren't aimed at girls (which is most of them) falling under this? I think you should just stop looking at shojo for everything romantic
I've tried but all the Seinen and Shounen titles I came across didn't have romance as the center point.
I tried to like Josei and Shoujo works but it's just... Ugh...
You lose, there are hundreds.
m8 last time I checked the manga department is flooded with Josei and Shoujo titles
>aimed at men
Those who like romance aren't a man
You are gay
Josei + romance = Pages (62)
Seinen + romance = Pages (29)
time to rewatch Emma
I want to see her new manga about the tribal peoples
Which josei and shoujos did you try to watch?
Anons, you don't seem to get it.
The problem is that the movie and novel markets are already dominated by females when it comes to romance titles.
Shoujo and Josei has been slowly creeping into domination in the anime and manga market in the romance genre.
Other than VNs and a few shows and manga titles I can't remember the last time I read/watched a romance title targeted at men.
29 pages of 25 entries each is hundreds.
Romance doesn't come to you; a real man goes out and looks for what he wants.
>creeping into domination in the anime and manga market in the romance genre
No fucking shit. Who likes romance the most, men or women?
If you want to enjoy romance all you have to do is find a good author. If they're good the demographics won't mean shit.
>Why is it so hard to find a romance show or manga targeted at men?
OP is an idiot. There are plenty of male-targeted romances that aren't harems.
It's just that they are all, without exception, suffering. Pic related: it's almost every oldbie's first experience at true blueballs.
That Maid-sama one.
And that other one with the chaotic piano playing grill and the organized conductor guy.
Ouran High School Host Club.
Usagi Drop (only one I actually liked until I finished the manga. That fucking ending.)
I've glanced at several other titles but they were all just "ugh" to me. The perfect male characters, in all their shirtless "glory", the boring MC grill (sometimes the MC isn't even a grill but another perfect bishounen), etc.
Usagi Drop was really the only title that was different. And I liked it. Until I saw the ending, of course.
>If they're good the demographics won't mean shit.
I know that.
But I can't stand yaoi and reverse harems. I don't like that shit. I just don't.
>Who likes romance the most, men or women?
who do you think made the feels meme?
Try some more recent ones, like Kamisama Hajimemashita and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun.
What do men what out of romance fiction? I've never thought of it and now that I do think of it, I can't think of anything I'd want out of a romance series. The only type of romance I like is if it's a subplot in an otherwise interesting story.
Then don't read/watch BL or reverse harems? I don't get what your problem is.
>who do you think made the feels meme?
Are you joking or something? Because that's fucking stupid and proves nothing.
Something like KS (without the retarded MC).
>Then don't read/watch BL or reverse harems? I don't get what your problem is.
The problem is that there aren't that many titles that aren't reverse harems or yaoi or bishounen.
Okay, I'll try those...
>there aren't that many titles
Anime titles? I guess not, but if you actually want to get into romance you shouldn't be looking for it in anime. You'll need to read manga. If you don't like that, then you're fucked.
And the amount of BL anime out there is practically non existent, so that really isn't an issue.
Alright, maybe I was exaggerating.
For every one shoujo anime there's a romance/harem for men.
>The problem is that there aren't that many titles that aren't reverse harems or yaoi or bishounen.
You're probably going to need to try manga just because there's going to be more variety. There should be plenty of romance manga that isn't reverse harem or BL. Like probably the majority of them. You'll probably have a hard time avoiding bishonen, but if the manga is good, why is that a problem?
>hard time avoiding bishonen AND reverse harems
But I guess you're right.
Maybe I should just give up on romance as a whole and go back to reading Gin no Saji...
Where are you finding all these reverse harems? Baka Updates has 133 pages of shoujo romance and 62 pages of josei romance, each with 50 entries per page, but only 11 pages with 25 entries each for manga tagged reverse harem and even less if you look for shoujo or josei tagged harem. With anime it might be a little more difficult because of all the recent otome game adaptations but if you're looking at manga you should be okay.
I don't understand why you're so scared of good looking dudes. Not liking reverse harems is one thing, but why do "bishounen anime" drive you away?
Kemonozume, faggot. Or Nana, or Lovely Complex.
OP is closet homo.
>People still feeding OP scum who can't search on his own and bumped his own thread after five minutes.
It's like you guys want this trash to stay here.
I have nothing really against "good looking dudes".
For example, Koizumi from Haruhi was one of my favorite characters.
Because he was interesting. His obvious fake smiling and hints at homolust was interesting because later in the LNs Koizumi says that the reason why he hints at homolust for Kyon is so Haruhi doesn't turn him gay. He also says that the reason why he's smiling all the time is so that he doesn't anger Haruhi. His suspicion of Mikuru and his theories, and in general his character, are likeable.
I liked Koizumi because I felt like he had a purpose. The problem with most manga/anime that have bishounens is that the bishounens are all boring faggots whose only purpose is to be fanservice fodder for screaming fangirls.
Neo-/a/ a shit.
>Whining about people bumping
>Bumps it anyway
Thinly veiled /r/ thread
Nice try OP.
Well, did you like any of the recommendations you got?
pls stop bully ;_;
