Ok guys, I just finished Madoka (not the 3rd movie though) and I dont understand the hype about this anime. Sure its cool and all, I liked it, but I cant understand where the hype came from, its not THAT good. I'm not trolling or anything, just wanna know WHY ? Thanks.
>but I cant understand where the hype came from
Newfags who watched 10 series before getting into Madoka.
You probably haven't watched much anime before. If you had you'd realize what made it great. It's ok though. Also don't bother with the movie
Not at all, I watched more than 400 anime, and I liked madoka, but its just I cant understand why its so hyped, that's all.
Hype ruins anything. Remember that. Try to go into something blind.
it did nothing wrong. It absolutely excelled in every conceivable category. Its weakest elements are "merely" above average, and its strongest elements are 99th percentile material.
It didn't click with me emotionally, so to speak. It didn't make me cry or anything. It's also true that it didn't do anything outrageously unique (other than be a dark magical girl show, but everyone knows about that now). It's just impeccably constructed.
>You probably haven't watched much anime before. If you had you'd realize what made it great
What if one finds it great for different reasons? I hardly seen any (or possible not seen any at all) magical girl series yet I find the series great.
But that ending is a bit hard for me to swallow.
I went to see the movie and it made me cry in public then my dad disowned me.
