ITT: Anime names you assumed described the series but you were dead wrong when you watched it.
For me the farthest off for me was Attack on Titan, I thought it was going to be a story about a few people attacking a giant floating city in the sky called Titan, with the ability to transform into Skinless God-like creatures.

Let's see here... I thought that Discipline - Record of a Crusade was a hentai about crusaders raping Muslim girls (which needs to be made if it hasn't already) and I thought pic related was either a mecha series or a Dragon Ball ripoff where they blasted planets with lasers.

Guilty crown. Expected a hardcore political sort of anime but got a supernatural shonen that transitioned into a political struggle. I would've been fine with the show ending at episode 12 honestly.
