Did you enjoy it?
The mysteries they solve aren't interesting. A lot of them are obvious; others are just dumb. The shows defenders will always say that it isn't about the plot--it's about the characters. These kinds of pretty looking KyoAni shows with no overarching plot appeal to some people, but I'm not really in that group.
It does look good and the characters are interesting. I just wish they would do interesting things.
just saw episode one
>the production value is off the charts
The arcs were the best, the one-episode mysteries weren't as good.
I found the mysteries interesting once I got into the show, even if they're not about earth shattering events.
Was anyone actually able to guess the answers before Houtarou did? Most of the time my guesses were pretty off.
No. I dropped it after a few episodes when I felt no desire to continue watching.
Yes. It was fucking excellent. The pacing, soundtrack, animation, character design, DRAMA, and characterization were all off the charts. Mysteries were hit-or-miss, but they were just an excuse and not really a reason, so that's okay
Too pretentious in it's visual language.
Less would be better.
It is literally the epitome of school club based anime.
Hyouga got so much better after you realize that everything post-Hyouga by KyoAni was shit.
I couldn't bring myself to finish it once I found out it's like all other recent kyoani in that there is NO. FUCKING. ROMANCE.
>Was anyone actually able to guess the answers before Houtarou did? Most of the time my guesses were pretty off.
No surprise either it was the cheapest trick and it wasn't able to solve the mystery until the very last end because the show hides important information from you or it were asspulls.
I loved it. Fuck /a/'s opinion. Oreki is too based.
You might be clinically retarded.
at first i hated the concept of it. Whodunnit mysteries, but for trivial school problems? It was like making moe out of columbo
but it definitely won me over, even the Where's my cake episode, 8.6/10 had strong points
It's the best thing Kyoani have done, I fucking loved it.
Just because there's no kissing and fucking doesn't mean that there's no romance. Read less hentai doujins.
>no fucking romance
Comfy as fuck. Have it on hold at the moment but have enjoyed what i've seen.
Anyone who says this shit is boring must have a pretty small attention span.
Probably the prettiest animation and attention to detail which is also very tasty for my eye balls too
the show clearly doesn't obey Chandler's Laws.
I tried solving the mystery of the students' movie before they did, with just the movie itself but then boom additional info and cheap tricks.
I still like the mystery though
Why didn't Satoshi want to date Mayaka?
Mayaka was insanely hot
Eru body is tasty to my balls too.
Still on episode 4 for the past 5 moths
She's hysterical bitch.
He didn't want to focus on something particular like going out with one person.
He literally stated why. Are you serious right now?
Kyoani's prettiest character design?
Kyoani's prettiest character design.
But less is more. Just ask Shaft.
That's the problem with many anime series.
>I don't like it when things are good
Sure, that's how it works.
he needn't know
Godlike visuals. Rest, meh.
Well, I liked it and it was okay if they used the visuals to show the contrast betwee Oreki's mind and the world. But most of the mystery related visuals were over the top and the direction of the "real world" scenes was too much.
Yes and god dammit wheres the next season.
First 6~ episodes are boring. Movie gets interesting, and then school festival is FUCKIN' MASTERPIECE. Absolutely love the show to bits and I'm sad there will never be another season.
I think the moment you start enjoying it is when it finally clicks that it's a story about the characters with the mysteries as a way to move the plot forward, rather than a mystery animu.
That's the point, Chitanda is the character focused person always caring about the motivations rather than the mystery itself, just like the show does, and when she's missing due to a hangover you don't get all the information you need.
Why didn't she ask EBA? Get it now?
I don't even know what EBA means.
And no it doesn't make sense.
Just the festical arc.
I remember that one of the novel reader claimed that KyoAni cut down mystery related stuff.
It's a masterpiece.
I loved it
It was well worth watching
The mysteries were just excuses for Chitanda to find someone to give her babies so she won't disappoint her family
Equally interesting was watching the confused reactions from blockheaded Americans who can't into subtlety
>why won't they fuck yet???
heh... nothing was subtle in Hyouka.
your penis is subtle
Not while I'm watching Hyouka.
Please stop having lewd thoughts about underaged schoolchildren
It's not my fault they're so sexy
Here's how Chitanda knew Houtaro's solution was wrong, I'm using Mazui's script:
"I think Houngou-san knew the ending she wanted from the start.
Even if she fell ill, someone could have asked her. If it were so grave that she couldn't then..."
By questioning Eba's motivations, she can see something is off, this is the kind of things the show is about and what's Chitanda's role is.
ANONYMOUS claimed this post was a joke.
It was beautiful. 10/10
Would watch again, if I had time to rewatch things.
The ending could've used another alternative
I did, it was hard for me to get into it at the beginning. But I gave it a chance and I really enjoyed it from episode 7 or so onwards.
This sequence is so pretty. That... fucking... neck...
That... fucking... hairneedle
That blush on ear. I wanna bite it gently.
Control yourself, anons, she's not real and will never be
YOU are not real.
The greatest love story... almost told. Seriously that ending.. Kyoani can't into romantic endings. Then again I felt satisfied that Broeki finally gravitated towards Chitanda and expressed his interest to be around her.
It's like your knowledge of Kyoani shows doesn't go further than Hyouka's first episode.
Hamfisted as fuck.
Name a beter alternative then pal
School festival arc was transcendental
>Kyoani can't into romantic endings
But that's more or less what happened in the novels.
I missed this changing to a normal pendulum at first and I can't believe I did.
Well, at least you didn't complain about the forced animation.
Yesterdays thread just 404'd btw.
