Does anon know of a good tutorial for the raster shading method that is used in most manga?

As far as I can tell they are still doing it manually but it must be some sort of quick process and precise enough so they can use it all the time.

No, they're just really skilled at cutting the raster paper. It does require a lot of practice.
Though I guess most artists use computers these day.
