>Implying TFS Abridged isn't the best version of DBZ.
>Implying the Abridged series didn't start on /a/
Get out newfag
Nothing too interesting this episode.
Why are the power-levels so varying? She's not doing anything much different than Freezer did, heck, probably weaker, and Vegs is supah sayin.
Boy, this episode was bad.
Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I love DBZA. But this episode was just lackluster.
Because Toriyama didn't put much thought into power levels or thought that anyone would actually keep track of them.
They were just a way to say a character was powerful without having to actually show them doing something beforehand.
Probably the worst one period. Not a single laugh.
Sad for you got a smirk though.
>they actually got weeklytubeshow to play Android 16
Exactly what I was fucking hoping for. His 16 voice is perfect.
Friza, undisputed master of the entire galaxy is defeated only by the realization of an ancient legend that allows Son Goku to ascend damn near to godhood.
Meanwhile, on the lowly planet Earth, some washed up scientist from the Red Ribbon Army (obliterated by Goku as a CHILD) is creating androids capable of exceeding their power. Somehow.
Makes perfect sense.
I think the dishwasher joke got a chuckle out of me. It might have gotten more if it wasn't the 50th woman joke in a row.
18 calling 19 "Ann" after he was complaining was clever, tying into Vegeta's earlier insult, but it didn't work for the same reason.
16 has potential. I'm wondering where they'll go with him. I imagine they'll want to play his death out semi-seriously like they did with the previous deaths.
16 was great. His line "Acquiring bird" had me in hysterics.
Frieza was a being on the level of a super saiyan who was made into an android by the best scientists his galactic empire has to offer, with practically unlimited resources at hand.
Android 18 is a cyborg made from a teenage girl by a pre-space flight scientists working by himself in a cave.
Dr. Gero managed to create a perpetual energy system.
Frieza was put together with a bunch of scraps.
If Bulma's father can reverse-engineer an alien spacecraft in a week, why can't Dr. Gero build androids stronger than Freeza?
That's kind of the issue, isn't it?
Again, single pre-spaceflight scientist in a cave vs. all the scientists from the entire history of a galactic empire.
16 and his interactions with 17 made me chuckle. I think that was it, though.
Dr. Gero only built the Androids because he was so determined to destroy Goku. That's motivation.
Questioning the logic of dragon ball z.
You've done fucked up right there
They're not pre-spaceflight. Bulma's dad managed to create a ship that could make it to Namek in a day.
Also, necessity is the mother of invention. Gero didn't need to go to space. He needed to kill Goku.
My roommate was watching this earlier. He found it on the front page of a particular site.
>living with ledditors
you might as well be one yourself
IN A CAVE
WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS
They seem to be at their best when the story (tension?) is at its best. Can't wait for the Kami Piccolo fusion.
The ship was made with salvaged parts from the Saiyan pods, so no.
I stopped myself from making that reference when I realized it wasn't 2008 anymore.

Made me remember how much I enjoyed masturbating to 18 back in the day.
Time to refresh those happy memories.
Still better than their early works.
Their first version of Dead Zone Abridged was incredibly immature.
>LOOK, I'M A DOUCHEBAG
>Gohan's mentally retarded, LOL
>I'M A DOUCHEBAG
>What are you, some sort of Demon-God?
>Nah, more like Super Kami Slug Man.
We leddit now?
You guys do know that you have to be 18+ to be on 4chan, right?
Is anyone really surprised that a really popular parody based on a really popular TV show that is uploaded on a really popular video streaming site can be found linked to a really popular content aggregator?
Actually I think the majority of DBZA fans would be in their early 20s. Really young kids who never watched DBZ and really old faggots who think just because DBZ is a shit anime no one should enjoy it are probably the only guys who don't enjoy DBZA.
It's kind of a shame that Reddit became a popular website in the last four years and started liking TFS in the last three years. Now I have to retroactively hate the series and be a fag about it on 4chan.
If you stop liking something because another community likes it, that makes you a hipster.
And most Redditors are hipsters.
and read that out in Vegeta's Abridged voice.
I've watched so much of this that the abridged voices have replaced the funi voices
>Faggoty Andy and On-the-Raggedy Ann
Okay, rest of the episode was lackluster, but that line is gold.
I wonder how they'll do 18's romance with Krillin.
I don't even remember how it happened in the original
Seeing as she made fun of Vegeta for being a manlet this episode, I'm guessing that she will eventually develop a liking for them and end up with Krillin, the manletest of manlets.
>Krillin is the only one who doesn't attack them
>18 finds him kinda cute and kisses his cheek
>Krillin remembers this and has a hardon for her for the longest time
>when they make the wishes, 18 who was just revived overhears Krillin un-bomb her and she doesnt understand why he would
It's implied between then and when they next see they worked shit out.
I was disappointed that they didn't do cat loves food, yeah yeah yeah yeah this episode.
Am I back in 2007?
could have had that coming from the truck, but they've already done that.
>tfw I want to do my own abridged series
>some ideas have been already taken
>I don't have enough voice actors
>certain anime just can't be done (someone attempted SAO Abridged but it got C&D'd after 2 episodes)
What could have been ;_;
Chi-Chi could've been singing it while she was preparing dinner. Oh well.
The "sad for YOUUUUU" nod was a nice touch.
I watch Abridged for a nostalgic smile, not outright laughs, so this episode was still pretty good.
>sad for YOUUUUU
what was that a reference too?
Its a actual line from the original dub
