Does /a/ endorse Ghost in the Shell 2.0 or the original version?
The only thing different in 2.0 is shitty CG.
man just when I was hoping for a ghost in the Shell thread, is it even possible to get subs for this franchise save for arise? All footage I've ever seen of the first movie has been the dub and im p sure nyaa doesn't have it or it has 0 seeds.
Original. CGI was shit in 2.0
might be dual audio on bakabt
Why the fuck would anyone endorse George Lucas-ing GitS with crap CGI?
why doesn't GITS get more attention?
What's it like being a drooling retard?
that XDCC or baka, New to private trackers
nigga u dum
Nah, the Original Blu Ray remaster is so fucking good.
:( cut this spook a break it's almost 1230 and I'm on a phone
Except the original had crap CGI. They just didn't put them over the traditionally animated scenes.
ghost in the shell (the original) is one of the greatest movies ever made imo
Because people think that Star Wars and Her are science fiction.
SAC >= Innocence > 1st movie > 2nd gig > SSS > Arise
Prove me wrong
>Innocence > anything
SAC2 >= SAC > SSS >= Arise > GitS
Innocence doesn't deserve to be on the same list as the others.
>better than anything
Nigga you dumb as hell.
Innocence was alright after a few watches, but it's not better than the first.
Why the hate for Arise?
It's just not as good as all the others so far. You could definitely argue Arise>SSS though.
I'm really excited to see togusa in the next one though.
Innocence is great
It just takes a few watches to appreciate
mah nigga right here.
just because you faggots cannot into reading comprehension or get bored without an action scene every 5 seconds doesnt make it a bad movie.
And whats wrong with the cgi? i thought some of them looked pretty decent, like the parade.
CGI before the 2000's sucks ass. Stick with the original. However I think the Blu-Ray release of 2.0 comes with the original film on a separate disc
I'm pretty sure the 'original as an extra' is some crappy LD rip. There IS a BD of the original version of the movie, but it's $$$, it was probably limited or something.
SSS was better than Arise, it just suffered from being compressed. Optimally SSS would have been 3rd Gig, with the mainline plot far better fleshed out, the Major absent until Ep18 or so, and all of the movie's music. Because goddamn, SSS has the best soundtrack of all the SAC-continuity stuff.
>It just suffered from being compressed.
that's exactly how I feel about it, I only saw it once and had a slim idea of what happened. The whole thing was a little convoluted. I mean it's taken at least two watches to fully get both SAC and 2nd gig so I can imagine how hard I'll have to pay attention to get SSS.
The media format of kings.
>two watches to fully get both SAC and 2nd gig
Lucky. I'm on eight and I still miss things. Unless you're just talking about mainplot.
Just the main plot.
And just the main bits of the main plot
Politics are HARD.
Here's the plot of innocence: Gangsters kidnap little girls to download their brains into robots. Botou shoots them. The end. There's no complicated mystery, there's nothing philosophical, there aren't even interesting characters. The movie is really just a sequence of very pretty unrelated short movies stitched together. You could cut out half of them without effecting the story or character development.
But that's wrong.
the plot is little girls are having their ghosts dubbed into sex bots which then went crazy and killed people so batou investigates and then he shoots gangsters for reasons I'm not quite sure of, something to do with a murder of some guy and his organs were put in jars, and then he goes to this industrial place, and then he fucks around in a simulation, and then he assaults a ship and then frees the girls but is pissed about it because he's sad about the people the girls killed or something.
Still need to watch it a few more times.
I think it took me four for 1st Gig's mainplot, 6 for 2nd, and I'm still catching details.
>I thought 2nd Gig was sad as fuck
>then I connected all the dots of Kuze's backstory
Wait it's not sad?
It's still sad(I was in bitch tears for that entire scene, each time), but until you really get Kuze's backstory and realise just how much it influences every single episode(even before he's intorduced), it's just sad. Linking it all made it heartwarming, /somehow/.
Personally, I find the tachikoma death in the 1st gig to be more sad for some reason.
Maybe it's because they cried too.
And the whole anticlimactic dud was killer, but they never gave up; even in the face of certain death they fought. ;_;
I like a lot of their characterisation in 2nd Gig more, and it helps that they're actually somewhat trusted, which just makes it worse since S9 is actually there this time to feel it, not just Batou and the Major.
And that's why 3rd Gig MUST be made, and made well.
That's true, but I've got a real soft sport for batou, even though he rarely shows it he cares so much about people and even AIs. I feel so bad for him having to watch them sacrifice themselves for him. I don't even think he can cry with his eyes, that must be horrible. to want to cry but not be able to.
I wish I could hug him.
Kuze gets money for the refugees by stealing the remainder of a Rin (cent) every time rounding down occurs in a financial transaction. This is the same scheme used in Superman 3, Hackers, and Office Space. I couldn't stop laughing.
Who cares? The anime is superior.
It's a real thing.
Can't take that name seriously.
Some of the sounds are better in 2.0, but it really isn't worth watching because they exchanged some parts with CG and it simply does not fit.
I liked innocence but no way it's on the same level as everything. It's just a sidestory, really.
lol really? search G.A.T.S for japanese versions
This guy gets it.
