In which we attempt to get people interesting in translating the LNs.

Old thread at >>100322620
>>
Which spoilers are real edition.
>>
>>100393773
So it's actually shit. Most of the interesting stuff in the spoilers turned out fake. The excitement I built these last few days went down the drain. Fuck this shit I'm out.
>>
>>100393970
Fuck that, I'm still hype. I want a LN about political intrigue and betrayal.
>>
>>100394041
Then you better hope the fake spoiler anons write one.
>>
>>100394088
You can read the manga and tell that's the general theme of the series.
>>
>>100394120
Then I'm glad it got axed. This is shit.
>>
>>100394041
>LN about political intrigue and betrayal
Off the top of my head, there's Outbreak Company (LN and not anime), 12 Kingdoms and Vanadis if you're into this.
>>
>>100394215
I do keep up with vanadis, haven't checked out outbreak company yet.
>>
>>100394215
They're still fucking kid's stuff. The (fake) spoilers made it seems closer to a hard western novel of intrigue.
>>
>>100394290
He mentioned LN, I answered with LN.
>>
>>100394349
Yeah you're right, I'm sorry. Too mad to read straight. Disappointed too.
>>
>>100394386
Still, you have to give it to the author to actually write something like this, it isn't the most popular genre when it comes to LN.
>>
>>100394386
Still can't say anything until actual read what the story.

Fucking really?
>>
>>100394730
>>100394386
Yeah. Honestly, we've been assailed with spoilers of different magnitudes and pretty different scenarios. The last anon who was giving out spoilers last thread was consistent and had images to back his claims up. He also dispelled that garbage rape spoiler. We really don't know anything until we've seen pages, they've got the novel up on jcafe for download. If we were so inclined someone could download them and confirm some of this shit. I know for a fact the beheading of Mahiro's father by Lunas and the proposal is true, it's been translated, confirmed by a couple of people, and the pages were put up.

>>100394811
It's understandable. We had some huge threads because of these hype spoilers and some people were bullshitting some of them.
>>
Why doesn't best girl use regular armor? Why must she march into battle in fancy anime-manga dressy regalia?

Really! It's almost like I'm reading a manga.

Dumping the translated chapter where it all came tumbling down.

As the horses inevitably tired, those horses were changed out, again and again. By the time Mahiro’s group’s carriage pulled into view of Mismarca castle, dawn was fast approaching.
Beneath the dark sky, below the castle’s walls, rising flames were [already] visible.
“N…, no…it can’t be. It’s already…!”
As [Sheena] pulled the carriage to a stop, Mahiro leaped out. As if being drawn by some invisible power he took several running steps foward before sudden realization drove him to his knees.
He saw the defensive gates were open. Beyond them he saw not the guards he knew so well by name, but a group of faceless, black helmeted knights. Above the gate’s watch tower, in the [char-rank] breeze, he could see the roaring lion of the Imperial Army Flag unfurled.
“…!”
[The castle] had fallen.
So overwhelming was the sight that no one spoke. There was nothing to do but stare as the shape of the burning Kingdom of Mismarca cast its red glow across the midnight blue sky.
It was then that “Kaze” marked Mahiro’s groups movements and position exactly, having known that the group would eventually have to come here. Even the black knights assigned watch could not have missed the oddity of the appearance of the lone carriage.
“Prince, stand up…!”
Pariel pulled on the arm of a dumbfounded Mahiro who was still slump on the ground. She could see a person’s shape moving towards them.
“Stand up! We need to escape.”
“…escape…, where to…?”
Pariel was in tears.
“It doesn’t matter where! We’ll escape! We have to escape…! Escape and fight! We have a Seal! You’re the descendant of the Mismarca dynasty! You’re the son of the head of the Alliance! We’ll form a resistance army, or a guerilla force and fight!!”
Several figures could be seen making there way unhurried towards them now.
>>
“Please…! I beg you, Prince!”
Pariel cried as she pleaded, but her resolve wavered and she collapsed against Mahiro’s shoulder and wept.
The approaching figures turned out to be four people.
The all wore the same thing. A light grey double coat and a beret.
Everyone of the four, a face the Mahiro and the rest knew. But with the backlight of the burning city behind them it made it an utterly strange scene.
Kaien. Shuraiban. Emilio. And.
“Welcome home, your highness.”
Mahiro blinked his eyes at the voice.
“…Edel…weiss…?”
“If it happens to be hard to understand then allow me to explain it to you. First Prince Mahiro [Yukirusneak] [Eadenfault]. Greetings. I am one of the Imperial Demon Generals, Fuushou (Wind General) Edelweiss.”
Speechless.
Save the weeping Pariel, the entire party had lost their voices.
“And now, a job well done in bring him back, Pariel. With this your mission is complete.”
As she cried, Pariel was still pulling on Mahiro’s arm trying to get him to stand.
Sheena spoke.
“Wait…, what is…, what is going on…!? Are you saying you betrayed us…!?”
>>
“No. From the start, as Head Maid, as Prime Minister, as General, as a friend to capture the Prince’s interest, and lastly as a bodyguard, all was for this purpose. I for the King. Kaien for the Government. Shuraiban for the army. Emilio for the castle town. Finally, Pariel for the Prince. All were spies placed for the express purpose of gaining information about the [Holy Grail].”
“No way…that far…, to go that far…!? You and General Shuraiban, its been decades…! …and yet, you still show such a calm face…!!”
“Yes. As long we upheld our mission to relay information about the [Holy Grail] back to the empire we were allowed to live as we pleased. Only it had to be as one of this country’s people.”
“If that’s the case, there should be a little, if for the city you’ve lived in, the people you’ve lived beside, even a little feeling of care…!”
“None.”
The woman’s cold, unwavering statement took Sheena’s breath away.
“…That’s why I told you, Pariel. Do not to get attached.”
Pariel cried.
“Forgive me…, please forgive me, Prince…! Everyone from Elkuseru, they’re all being held hostage…! But Prince, you said you’d free them…because you said you’d restore the country I believed you…! Prince…, please…, run away…! Let’s run away, Prince! I’m tired of doing what the Empire wants…Prince…!”
For all that Pariel shook him back and forth, Mahiro simply sat in a daze his shoulders slumped.
“Wa…it…. Edelweiss…? No matter…no matter the joke, this is…this is…”
Edelweiss let out a small sigh.
>>
>>100395710
>“Wait…, what is…, what is going on…!? Are you saying you betrayed us…!?”
pfffffft
>>
“I have already explained it to you, your highness. The absurd idea of taking the entire continent with words alone, just how far it would take you.”
“But…but, you were…my mother, my older sister, my teacher, everything I admired…!”
Half in place of words, Edelweiss grabbed Mahiro by the chin and forcefully raised his head gazing down at his face. Then for the first time, the woman of ice laughed. With eyes still full of ice, the thin line of her mouth broadened as a spine-chilling smile spread across her face.
“Your Highness. To deceive, that’s what you call this sort of thing.”
“…!”
“So, do you have some sort of plan? Do you have any words? Do you have any words to make me surrender? Any words to drive me away? Do you have any words to make me change sides to become your retainer?”
“…! …!”
Mahiro opened his mouth to say something, but his lips simply trembled, and instead of his voice, tears began to flow.
Seeing that, Edelweiss’s face, as if having lost interest resumed it usual stony-expression. Her hand the held his chin moved as if throwing something away.
“…After all, this is all you are capable of?”
The words were said as if in extreme disappointment.
She takes the white Seal from Mahiro’s coat, straitening and turning as a loud racket approaches.
>>
The Black Knight Brigade. To the right with naginata in hand, wearing the auspicious uniform of an Imperial Officer, ‘Gouken’. To the left with black sword in hand, the blond ‘Ryoken’. Between them, straddling a monstrous beast of a horse a warrior woman.
Before one could blink the Mahiro’s entire group was surrounded.
“You were surprised, right, Mahiro? I was also surprised. I thought for sure the Wind General had quit the empire and gone over to Mismarca. The last time I can she apparently hadn’t gotten any orders and remained disguised as a citizen of Mismarca. Weren’t you surprised, Mahiro?”
Then she dismounted.
“I was asked by father. A last request it seems.”
“Father…did…?”
With a heavy thump, she threw some thing to the ground and it rolled all the way to Mahiro’s knees.
As Parial and Sheena tried to suppress small screams, only Mahiro remained silent as he, with both hands, gently like handling something broken picked it up.
Reduced to a mere thing, his father’s head.
“…!”
Lunasu laughed as she spoke to Mahiro.
“That day I’m sure I told you, Mahiro. To ‘Become my hushand’. And that I didn’t mean it as a joke. So, I’ve come to get you husband. You’re my ‘war trophy’.”
“Ah…, a…, ahh…!”
Mahiro.
Carrying his father’s head, holding it to his chest.
“Aha.”
Laughed.
“Ha…, ahaha! Ahahaha ahaha! Aha! Ahyahyahyahahahahahahahahahahaha!!”
Laughed out loud. Wildly as tears flowed.
>>
“Ahahahahaha! Aha, fa, father! This! This…haha, this! Aha! Ahahaha! Ha, ha! Hahahahahahaha!”
Pariel shook his shoulder, hard.
“P…, Prince…!? Get a grip…! Please keep it together, Prince…! Prince!”
“Aha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Look, Pariel! It’s father! Father! Its that unmovable father! He is…! Hya, hya, hya, hya, hya!”
Seeing that Lunasu laughed. Her laugh in answer to Mahiro’s own, sounding extremely happy.
Edelweiss was already stonefaced.
The surrounding Black Knights in large part carried pitying expressions.
Jess alone without any emotion asked.
Leaning in on the opposite side of Mahiro from Pariel, trusting in a sliver of hope he asked in a voice only Mahiro could hear.
“What do we do?”
In an instant, the laughter stopped and Mahiro half turned.
And in a voice only Jess could hear he spoke.
“…Take Pariel and run. From here on it’s a battle for royalty.”
“…!”
>>
At the idiot-feigning Mahiro’s quiet whisper, Jesses hair stood on end.
Mahiro smiled.
Only in that instant, when his eyes held some sense of sanity did he smile. As if to devour a person, with those, those eyes of a snake.
Jess was understandably surprised. Rather than surprised, he was terrified.
“…”
Lighly patting Mahiro, who had once again resumed laughing, on the shoulder, Jess stood up.
“We’re going, Pariel.”
“But, Jess-k…”
At the same time that Parial turned around, Jess landed a blow that knocked her out and pulled her arm over his neck.
“Jess…!?”
“Sheena, we’re leaving. There’s nothing we can do here.”
Mahiro’s brief moment of sanity seemed a lie now as his maniacal laughter continued.
As Jess took a step forward, Sayaka and [Reinar] with the Black Knights blocked his way. “Reinar, this is our Princess. Are you coming along?”
Only a slight pause.
“…I had wondered, but that’s how it is.”
He turned around once.
“Princess.”
“What?”
“If you get in the way I will cut everything to pieces.”
Looking at Reinar with black sword in hand, Lunasu laughed once though her nose and ordered her men.
“Let them go.”
“Princess!?”
Sayaka spoke up in surprise.
“That…, easily! Is that really alright!?”
“We’ve already won. We have no need now of [heros], or a princess of a destroyed country. Or do you think you can stop him, Sayaka? That ‘Ryoken’?”
“…, That’s…!”
>>
“Even should you defeat that, on the other side is the hero who single-handedly saved my older sister from the Great Tsunami, the One Eyed Dragon (dokuganryuu). If he attacks its one thing, but I can’t very well cut down one who has received the medal of the Golden Lion.”
Without emotion or inflection, simply with the powerful, newfound resolution behind the blond swordsman’s killing intent, the members of the Black Knight who new his skill well, including Sayaka, slowly made way.
“Princess. Sorry. I’m in your debt.”
“Sure. Hurry up and go. And ‘One Eyed Dragon’…”
“Ha?”
“Pay my sister a visit once in a while. At least a letter.”
“Sure. If I feel like it.”
Lastly Sheena, as if her hair was caught on something behind her, called out.
“Prince…!”
Mahiro didn’t respond.
“Ha! Ahaha! Hahaha, ahahaha…!”
Staring back at the empty eyes of his deceased father, he simply kept on laughing.
He laughed.
The old, kind general who praised him more than anyone had been an enemy.
The miscellaneous goods dealer who was supposed to be closer to him than anyone else had been an enemy.
The woman of ice who was more reliable than anyone else had been an enemy.
Finally.
The father who he should have hated was the only one who had a great last parting gift.
The result was an utterly tragic defeat.
>>
With hands bound in cuffs and having already lost the white Seal Mahiro was placed in a carriage that set off for Mismarca castle.
Mahiro laughed.
Clutching the freshly severed head he laughed.
Sharing the carriage in order to watching over him to make sure he didn’t run or suicide, was Kaien who murmured with resignation.
Whether Mahiro could hear him or not, he muttered.
“…It was…an unfortunate situation.”
For the boy who had once dreamed of uniting the continent, [it was an utterly empty sentiment].
A Mahiro who suddenly stopped laughing asked.
“What was?”
So sudden was the question that Kaien’s eyes opened wide in surprise.
“…What was…, you ask…”

The result was an utterly tragic defeat?
“…Hey, hey, did you hear Kaien? Husband she said.”
Mahiro laughed. It was the same as the day that he appeared from behind the curtains, and won Kaien over, that expression. The same as when he laughed about taking over the entire continent, it was the very same expression.
“It’s fallen into my hands after all…the continent’s largest, strongest card named the ‘Imperial family’…!”
“……!?”
“Ha! Ha, ha! Aha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!”
Then it started again. Mahiro’s loud laughter resounded throughout the carriage. As the first light of dawn began to illuminate the castle town, the fool prince’s laughed echoed about. Cradling his dead father’s head, while he patted the skull, as blood trickled out to soak his lap, without stopping or tiring Mahiro continued to laugh, and Kaien could only watch and gulp down his own fear.

At that moment.
The Fallen Angel called the Prophet, shed tears as she rolled about laughing.

Here is where a great hero's story would end in tragedy.

This would be the 'Bad End' for a great legend's story.

But this is the story of a lone, young snake.

Skin his hide, tear his flesh, but the snake won't die.

In the toast of victory, as the lion sips, the poison doesn't die.

VOLUME 7 END.

Aww.. so Pariel really did love Mahiro and even tried to escape with him. A tad late in the decision though.

A bit confused though, if she was a spy for the empire, then why the hell is she on the opposite side as of the latest novel? Isn't Mahiro part of the empire now?

Post vol8 prologue.
>>
>>100396367
This place, once arrived, will never be lost.

That night, in the full glory of his body, a touch of dirt stained the throne.

Today, in this place which once again appears in front of their eyes, is not the arrogance of youth, but merely a pale, gaunt man. Wearing ornate armor and a sword inherited from a Dynasty, he stands.

Lady Lunas looked at this scenario and laughed. Her armor already tainted with a sea of blood, and she has long reveled in the fragrance of blood.

“His Majesty, King [Armando Rahil]!! First meeting, the Princess Lunas Victora Majestia!!”

The brave women of the Imperial Court tried to hide their shock at her bloodstained face, while the King in turn, his chuckle.

“Very fierce Lion Princess. I am unaware of the unauthorized actions.”

“Your son, your life, together with your country as reparations for me. So, how are you going to do it?”

“As you can see, with this.”

Rahil pulled out his sword, throwing the scabbard sideways, and then grasping the sword with both hands.

Lunas laughed again.

“Ha, ha, ha!! Ha, ha, ha, ha!! Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!! Indeed a ruler of a country does not bow so easily.”

Waving just slightly, the sword was stopped by blades of blood and then suddenly vanished into thin air. Lunas took another step closer to the terrace.

“Then, I’ll give you your-“

Flash, one record, casual twinkle.

Inherited from the old Dynasty, and crafted by the highest authority with beauty as the priority, this sword was forged. Enemies from across the world have pursued the beauty and practicality of this “Seven-Star Sword”, only to be broken.

The crossguard pierced the carpet, coming to a rest in the floor. Holding a sword, only half of Rahil’s throat cells were exposed to the air as Lunas pointed impatiently.
>>
>>100396311
She also went from trying to save his life to trying (emphasis on "trying") to murder him right now.

Poor girl is strapped on to a non-stop ride of suffering by Hayashi Tomoaki-sensei.
>>
>>100396402
[“So, Caesar, what do you intend to do?”] (I assume this is a reference to the Roman Emperor Caesar who was betrayed by his own Senators, as well as several of his closest friends).

“Well. What to do? Little girl, because of your impossible ways, you’ll lose my son.”

“…”

Lunas who was happily smiling, instantly turned cold with rage.

“Compared to having this conversation, what haven’t you just cut off my head, Lion Princess?”

“Give it up, you don’t have a chance.”

Rahil very casually threw his sword away.

“Do you still have time to talk? If so I think I have something that will please you.”

“…..What is it.”

“I hope you can cut my head off, and give it to my son Mahiro as a farewell gift.”

After living through this war right in the center of the storm, Lunas wondered if Rahil’s mind was still working.

Or maybe that the King is never allowed to insult anyone.

But to mention this as a relic… …no, a farewell present, is too confusing. Especially if the recipient was his own son.

Armando Rahil smirked evilly upwards. His eyes, no sense of dignity to speak of… …that’s right. On that night of danger, Mahiro looked exactly the same.

“I don’t have to think about it, I don’t have much time left anyways. Rather than dying in my bed or the like, hands like yours… …might bring some color to this boring life at the end.”

“…Fine.” Lunas replied, bringing her sword back up to Rahil’s throat.

“Though, the opponent is but a little girl. So it was a little sour too. How do you want to do this?”

“Dry.”
>>
>>100396460
For this simple answer, the Serpent King issued a very strange laughter.

“Hmm. It’s no wonder [Lumiere] would give it such a high level of evaluation.”

“Any last words?”

“Be careful. Mahiro… … he surpassed me, that child, but… …” Rahil smirked. “Exhausting my life energy was my proudest masterpiece.”

“Acknowledged.”

Lunas, blade in hand, swung that cross shaped weapon out in a straight line.

It seemed like an unneeded addition to a torturous relationship between the MC and Charlotte, that doesn't mean that the MC and Luna didn't consummate their own marriage though.

Is this mean Mahiro only act to please the enemy?

>“Be careful. Mahiro… … he surpassed me, that child, but… …”
What does he mean by this?
>>
>>100397041
There were some spoilers awhile back about Rahil experimenting on kids and their parents, he did something which killed the parent to beef up the kid somehow?

Long story short, after perfecting the process he did the same to Mahiro and himself, which is supposed to be part of the reason why Mahiro is a beast without his seal.
>>
>>100396870
He know about the spy and all the plot to betray him. (The one thing that was out of his prediction is the betrayal of edelweiss the head maid). But he doen't have enough strength to fight back. Rather than fight it, he rather choose to surrender and make that power (the empire) his own for the sake of his objective.
This is the conclusion that i reached when reading the spoiler when all people betray him.

The keyword was "Betrayal" so if you know your shit, then only that Spiral comes to mind.

If you haven't read it yet, go do it now. It's a good thriller series. A tad rambly with the philosophy at times, but a good read nonetheless. Though, If you get attached to certain characters (and chances are you will), the last 5 chapters will ruin you.

Read the translated chapter on this thread. Pariel clearly wanted out of the whole betraying deal and desperately tried to escape with Mahiro.

Though at this point, I'm pretty damn sure that Mahiro is concocting the ultimate Keiaku Doori that will fuck all his enemies over and get all the stuff he wants. So he might as well be lying to and fooling everyone at this stage.

You also forgot she already betrayed him from the start, basically followed all Edel's command before she actually fall for him. That's why Edelweiss said she was too attached to him.

>>100417242
People change when they fall in love anon.

Luna first wanted to murder the shit out of Mahiro, but then she doesn't.

Likewise, Pariel fully intended to stab Mahiro in the back and not give a fuck, but then she doesn't. Although right now, she is emotionally torn as to whether to kill Mahiro or not but we can thank this current conundrum to Edel being a lying manipulative bitch.
>>
>>100396311
Seconding on someone clarifying this. I'm a tad confused as well

> She was a spy for the empire
> Mahiro joins the empire
> He is fighting against her

What. Aren't they both on the empire's side?
>>
>>100417736
No, because Pariel fled and joined the resistance.
>>
>>100417736
After shit hit the fan, Pariel joined with the resistance.

Mahiro is sort of a hostage to the empire but he doesn't mind because he wants to poison and utterly fuck up the empire from within.

So he works as some sort of Military Advisor to the empire while juggling the three insane kawaii sisters. This puts him at odds at some of his old friends, but in order to keep his keikaku doori brewing, he fulfills his role of a man of an empire faithfully even if it puts him against his friends.

Then, Edel feeds Pariel some lies on how Mahiro orchestrated the murder of his father and ascension through the empire ranks from the very beginning out of selfish interest.

Add some volumes worth of extra political hoo-ha between characters, majin hijinks and douchebag gods and we arrive at the rather convoluted state of the story right now.

>Douchebag gods
How big of a role have the gods played in the story so far? I've heard that apparently, Edelweiss is doing this all on their orders, have they ever done anything directly themselves though?
>>

Has the Emperor been seen yet in the ln? How is he as a person?

Why so strung up anons?

Chances are, the next volume would be sometime during July AT EARLIEST.

Yes, he's a serious and kind person, also a stupid, overprotective dad. Beats Mahiro up the latter punched him back. It was for show but pretty goddamn funny.
>>
>>100419768
>Beats Mahiro up
How did that start? Also, is the Emperor a puppet, or is he actually the main one in control of the Empire?
>>
>>100419690
he is a good quite funny person. he's described as tolerant and gentle and he doesn't like useless blood shedding. he hates mahiro (in their first meeting at an imperial audience, he send mahiro lying to the ground as lunas introduces him as her fiancee) and is overprotective toward his daughters 8and his wives)
>>
>>100419892
The emperor comments "so... you're the one" and asks Mahiro to lift his head up from a kneeling position.

And then socked him in the face before the two's eyes even meet.

The truth is more complicated than that. As far as she knew, her job was just to monitor MC-kun. But in reality, the true nature of her job was to make MC-realize that his closest confidant and emotional crutch was a false identity. She really did develop some feelings for MC and genuinely felt bad upon realizing the true nature of her job to the point that she loathed her employer.

>Juggling three insane kawaii sisters
How is Mahiro's relationship with Lunas and Charlotte after the massive betrayal? Charlotte was the one who ordered the attack on Mismarca, correct?
>>
>>100420935

mahiro: "oh a declaration of war? bring it on! I'll make all the midland nations revolt at the same time. your great "rural" marcenal empire will
crumble in less than 3 months and 6 days. once it collapse i'll take your three daughter as concubine and make them wear very sexy clothes everyday.
I'll attach collars to their necks and take them for a scroll in front of the people of my country!"
neosis (emperor): "gghh I can't take this anymore. everybody prepare for war. we'll destroy every single person in the midlands and turn them into
eternal waste lands where no vegetation will ever grow again!"
mahiro: "ooh you did it! you shall diiiiie!! it will be war! it will be total waaaaaaaar!"
edelweiss: "we are in the palace"
at that, the palace fell into surreal silence
mahiro: "..ah, edelweiss, you were here?"
neosis: "so you were here, edelweiss?"
edelweiss: "I was here , but"
a slapstick (harisen) hold in one hand and hitting on her other one
edelweiss: "I cannot let a mere words quarrel easily turn into the start of a war. and your highness (referred to mahiro) was too influenced by pariel''s
character. have you become some kind of yakuza?"
mahiro: "no well.. I kinda understood how she could get in that mood"
neosis: "edelweiss, I heard that you were this person's mentor. what did you teach to this vulgar rural prince?"
edelweiss: I think I gave him the same upbringing as charlotte, yurika and lunas. perhaps you have any complaints?
neosis: "...."
mahiro: "...."

indeed she gave the order but yurika says that she was against that military operation until the very end. Yurika also says (in her thoughts) that it's neither charlotte or the emperor's will, it's the will of the empire,

Haha, pretty much this.

I'll read the LN still though, I don't get why the author can decapitate the MC's father though and have his head thrown in his lap and consider it PR, but a kiss is taboo. I seriously hope that at least -something- happens in the later LNs, or maybe the next one that comes out.
