Remember when /a/ used to love HnG?
Now it has been at least a year and half since I last read it.
While Ruka was great, doujin arc was lame.
It should have ended years ago, imho. It used to be interesting, but last time I read it, I felt like reading a generic harem, which is a shame.
Doujin arc killed it
Ruka a shit.
I hope the new arc saves the manga and I get back to loving my glorious waifu soon
Doesn't help that the recent anime for it has been complete shit.
>dat new chapter
Welp. I-It's not like I enjoy reading this for the story or anything.
The doujin arc was pretty painful, amplified by the fact that you either lobe or hate Ruka, but knew she was going to lose regardless.
Honestly for me the comedy is pretty played out at this point, I'm glad that there seems to be at least a hint of plot movement again, but Hata has to figure out where he wants to go with this.
I came here to laugh at you. Both Ruka and the doujin arc were the worst part of the manga by far and I'm so fucking glad it's finally over.
Fuck you Hata and fuck you Mikado. Fuck you for doing all this shit to Hayate. You lied, he hasn't gotten the last laugh at all ;_;
I haven't read the newest chapter. Is it any good?>>100364302
Hata is a dick. He's introduced plot all the time and just gone "lol nope". The new chapter I haven't read better have something on Hayate's bro or this new arc better explain something that should have been explained fucking 200 chapters ago.
again, this guy gets it.
They're both huge dicks. Come on, /a/non.
More best girl to take the rage away from the drivel this manga has become because of the last arc.
I miss you guys
If only the 3rd season and 4th season were any good.
(Although I fucking loved the Hina date in S3)
S3 and S4 make Hina sad.
I still like it and I'm buying the volumes.
S3 was good and I hate /a/ for hating it.
I am sorry, /a/non. The last one was a reaction. The 1st was simply to show best girl and 2nd I felt was necessary because we needed best girl to take away our shared butthurt.
I'm half and half. I hated the last chapter and there'd better be some actual plot now. Although
will eventually come around again and Ruka will come back and fuck more shit up like the bitch she is.
But we're now looking in the past from a different point of view, we might get to see how A-tan got in the garden, aren't you exited?
Because the first season was a decent comedy.
The Manga and the rest of the Anime is never-ending shipping drivel.
It wasn't good and the only good thing about Cuties was the great OP. Even the annoying bitch kid ruined the glorious Hina date somewhat.
The best season was easily S2 though.
I never said Cuties was good. Cuties really is irredeemable shit. I'm talking about S3
no, I mean to say, S3 wasn't good and as well as that neither was S4 and that it only has a good opening. S3 had nothing of merit except the one episode.
I think we can all agree that Nagi is worst girl though, right?
No, because Ruka is.
You want to fight, bub?
S3 should have been a complete focus on the second half about the actual plot with Nagi's dad.
This shit was so rushed that they didn't even get to exchange a line with each other.
Ruka is easily the worst girl and there's nothing that will ever change that. She completely ruined the manga and stuck around for far longer that she should have. For a whole year, the manga was shit because of her and the only reason to keep reading was in hopes of the next chapter finally showing that she would leave soon.
Season 3 has a great opening, it actually developed real canon back story for Nagi and the last few episodes were great.
>My feelings and opinions are the absolute truth
Most of the Hayate fanbase agrees, anon. You're actually pretty rare.
this guy >>100366810 is right. You are indeed rare, /a/non.
Yeah it might have developed canon backstory, but the premise of the series was just really shitty anyway, imo. Not to mention they wasted a good deal of episodes on harem-y activities when it could have made the season a lot better by giving the story more episodes.
Remember when HnG was good?
Hina's birthday arc. Man, that was 8 years ago.
that arc was when I found my waifu. Great times were had.
still like to re-read that shit
Why would you be interested in a series when you hate the heroine? You're setting yourself up to get shit on by the story and the fans alike.
Back when foolz were good.
You can still watch it for the other girls.
Not that guy but I didn't think anyone really liked Nagi. I mean like I don't hate her, but she's just... There? She'll never win the Hayate I just kinda think she's there as acting the heroine part and for plot purposes. She's not really a prominent character in my opinion.
Can't they just give me a Sakura Trick revolving around Hina/Ayumu?
Can't they just give me a Sakura Trick revolving around Hina/Ayumu?
Now with less image switching, thanks Moot.
Why do people think Cuties is shit if it adapts the manga nearly panel by panel? It didn't have a shit load of QUALITY like S3 either. Nothing satisfies you guys.
I personally liked Cuties, it was random but it was a nice extra.
The entire fucking doujin arc was practically her character arc. Are you fucking stupid? Also, plenty of people like Nagi. /a/ needs to stop this shit with "this is how I see it so it must be like this."
I said my opinion are you that fucking retarded that you only read to half of what I said? And see you explained my point for me. The doujin arc was fucking WANK.
well, you're in the minority. I didn't really like it, but I thought it was better than S3
Well Season 1 and 2 was my favorite but i was mad as fuck when they skipped A-tan's arc just because majority of the content was stepping in the line of being shounen and less of being funny. eversince then, i stopped giving a fuck about HnG.
I liked qts
So cute and pure.
why is she such a slut?
She was born that way
this looks shopped
actually it's not.
still remember picking up the first season because of her
was left slightly disappointed
my waifu top tier. Not a shit.
Fucking priest. I was so mad.
She's slightly mentally damaged
>That last chapter
Man sometimes you forget how depressing hayate's life way and how fucked up his parents were.
you're the only one here that called her a shit tho...
Hayate better get a good ending.
And by good ending I mean filthy rich and all the bitches as his maids.
He deserve it.
Just believe. Believe that Hayate, who his whole life has worked hard and earnestly, will surely have the last laugh.
But its a crime
Hina a definite best.
Manglobe butchered the anime. Ruka wasn't bad, the arc was complete shit though.
But only the first and second season is good
My love for Hina is pure. I don't want to have sex with her, I just want to cherish her and hold her hands and go on dates. And one day we will marry and then, and only then will we have sex and have a child.
what is this
But I still love HnG, even if it's not as good as it used to be.
Hayate covered in bitches.
Me too. It's just a shame the 3rd and 4th seasons weren't any good and the last arc in the manga was shit. It's still got really good sales I think. So it won't end yet
In other news, did any /a/nons buy the last volume with the cards? I thought they were an excellent idea and wanted to buy the volume for the cards. (Sorry for blogshit, I just like getting together with friends to play poker)
The last chapter is important for the plot.
You can read it alone, without reading the previous ones.
YES! PLOT. I'll have to dl it now, /a/non. Thanks for this
This last chapter was depressing as fuck.
Why is she so perfect?
Now she devolved into a kick and fly soonduhray.
Actually, all of them.
What did happen to my delicious sluts?
One of the few decent harem.
kick and fly soonduhray?
Also this chapter is making me well up. Hold me, /a/
Tsundere sending the guy flying with a kick.
To be honest I quite like Hina as a tsundere too, I just really like her flirty side. She has had that taken away a lot though.
Also the first great chapter in a year and a half or something stupid. I want more!
Athena is best girl
>Athena is best girl
maybe in another show, son. But this is Hayate we're talking about
Do someone with a memory better than mine remember this Omamori somewhere before?
Hayate thinks Athena is best girl.
Can't argue with that.
Yes, it's this one.
he doesn't now, /a/non.
Hata is better to give us some Ikusa chapters next
your best girl a shit.
Hina is going to have to rape Hayate to show him how much she loves him.
This was 170 chapters ago, time sure go fast.
11/10 would read.
I wouldn't. I couldn't bare that happening to anyone but me. ;_;
Asides from a little of the Ruka bits, I pretty much dropped it like years and years ago. I'm surprised anyone even cares anymore.
ruka was only recent /a/non.
Pick it back up from about 3 chapters ago. It looks to be picking back up
Hata loves to do shit like this.
>statues in Royal Garden when Hayate's brother went to save Athena had the same mark as Himegami's mask in the anime (implying that really counts for anything and Himegami will probably never show up in the manga not that anyone would remember him)
>Vol 26 or 29 insert artwork has Yukiji looking at the ring Athena gave Hayate after he left the Royal Garden as a kid inside a pawn shop
Little things like that.
I can't. It was starting to go to shit when Athena showed up and that was ages ago. Sadly, I'm not the least bit invested in the story or my favorite characters anymore.
Yeah, he really puts attention to little things.
It's just my opinion but I think you're making a mistake. I really enjoyed the bits Athena was in with the Royal Garden and it looks to be going that way again. But to each his own.
Do they fuck?
Didn't Hinagiku get like, almost the same amount of votes as the next three other ones, combined?
This chapter. This is why I started reading Hayate.
I always hated Mikado with a passion because of the Santa thing. I don't know how to feel now.
Another thing, anyone who is getting back on the bandwagon should also read chapter 433. My comment on this chapter: isn't Mikado an old name for the Japanese emperors, in a time when they were figureheads? There's also the famous Sanzen'in temple, this can't be a coincidence. Plot is starting to move again.
The first part of the Athena arc was pretty cool I vaguely remember the ending being a drop in quality though.
I also found it pretty silly that she came back as a kid instead of her real age. It makes no real sense to me except to avoid conflict with Nagi
Well, Hayate is in a life long work contract like all good salarymen, receiving some money every month for personal expenses, while living under the same roof - yep, they are married.
>I also found it pretty silly that she came back as a kid instead of her real age.
It's not her choice
I'm still waiting for the A-Tan is Hayate's fiance bombshell to drop. Hopefully it's as hilarious as I wish it will be.
Silly that the writer did that.
It reminds me of that scene in The Nanny where Fran is asked of her situation. "Are you having sex with him?" "No!" "Yes, you are married."
>Silly that the writer did that.
To show that there's a hidden enemy out there, possibly final boss?
I'm still here though. Still patiently awaiting a End of the World movie.
There are a million ways to do that. The whole thing just reeks of wanting to add a loli to the harem while making sure A-tan doesn't completely wipe the competition thanks to her inherent advantage.
You are remembering that page where this is lampshaded, girls of all ages are shown and there is a comment on why Hayate doesn't attempt anything.
A movie wouldn't do the EotW justice. A movie however, would have no problem adapting all 166 chapters of Doujin Namek, that's how draggy that shit was.
Like what? There's also the plot point that she must not remember any of the events regarding the garden, and that Hayate must not let anyone aware of his knowledge on it or a similar fate may bestow on him. It's also to show that it's no mere memory wipe, her time was regressed to the period just before she "knew too much", even losing the catalyst for why she ended up in the garden (her parents). And Hayate's brother could have been a key to prevent this from happening.
There are too many plot relevancy regarding the loli change than for it to be just some fanservice.
That's me with the knife and the weaboo speak.
Also to hide identity from possible pursuers like Yozora
I want an ending in which Hayate finds his parents and beats the shit out of them.
3 cours of EotW arc starting from Izumi's cellphone arc, then adapt the plot relevant bits during the house change (Alice's addition to the household, the coffin arc, any part Yozora was involved with etc). Do a movie of Doujin Namek. Continue the series starting from ch433
Basically the entire Athena arc (EotW + Golden Week).
Easily the best arcs of all of Hayate.
I've taken a break from reading Hayate since Ruka got turned down. I wasn't expecting her to win, but she was the only hope since she was the most direct with Hayate thus far. Now I can only hope for character development with some other girl or it'll be a Nagi end.
Ruka's lost has already been spoiled by S3, and Nagi will not win since she was never in the competition to begin with.
Remember how good it was before Hinagiku came around and was just a Nagi-repeat character and a bunch of mouth breathers decided the show should be around her even though she was only a side character and then Hhata realized if he could introduce one girl and get this much of a fandom he could just introduce more and more regardless of how shitty or overlapping on the current characters they were to the point he accidentally designed the same fucking character twice again and no one even noticed (even himself) and then he decided to introduce a third tsundere-type character for Hayate to have romance with and people thought this was somehow a new idea and for some reason ate that shit up too and now we're like getting close to a decade in and he still hasn't resolved Nagi and Hayate's relationship and he's just kind of hoped we've all forgotten about it? Anyone?
This better be copypasta.
>and Nagi will not win since she was never in the competition to begin with.
How bad does thinking hurt for you?
Ruka losing got spoiled in the movie.
why couldn't they make a long-running Hayate anime series like those other long-runners that are lasting 200+ episodes?
Sooo... anyone waiting on Girgiri Nijiiro's next doujin?
it's gonna have A-tan in it
What do you mean? You are saying it can only be a Nagi end if no one else comes into the picture, and I'm saying that's impossible.
I thought S3 was anime original?
Oh right I forgot about Ch. 400, it's been so long I thought they were joking about the movie covering ahead of the manga. I figured they were just up to there usual antics. Hmm guess I'll start reading again. The slow ride never ends
S3 is canon. It takes place after Doujin Namek.
It's one of the many reasons why that arc was terrible, since its ending had already been spoiled by the anime.
Which is S3, cuties?
>I thought S3 was anime original?
It's based on 800 pages worth of storyboard that Hata wrote for the anime
>implying they aren't actually the final villains
Well shit I must have gotten lazy reading into things in Hayate, all the chapters after EoTW just feel like a blur looking back. I thought they announced the author was going to help with the anime and the 800 pages of storyboard was Hayata helping write anime original script.
Now it looks like I might need to reread part of the manga.
You're assuming I was referring to the full extended EotW arc. I only want it to adapt Hayate's past. That particular arc hit me like a jackhammer to the balls. I can confidently say it's one of the most well thought out of arcs, in any series, fit for a movie.
In my opinion of course.
I forgot my other paragraph.
The leadup introduction, Hayate's monologue, and the same ending monologue, was what cemented the arc in my memory.
The last 2 chapters wouldn't have as strong of an impact without the whole golden week part hyping it up with the mysteries.
>You're assuming I was referring to the full extended EotW arc. I only want it to adapt Hayate's past.
There's no "extended" EoTW arc. The EoTW is just the flashback in Royal Garden.
The other "part" is the Golden Week arc, also know as just the Greece arc.
