Why do you watch/read fighting anime/manga?

Because they allow me to vicariously live out my chuuni fantasies, of course

Cause i wanna fight for my own, but my personaliti is too weak for that. So, i can feel those EMOTIONS through manga.

Kaoru Niimi and Makoto Harada from Space Battleship Yamato 2199.

I enjoy action above all, though I do enjoy other genres, a series with action has always been preferable. Though fighting anime/manga can get dull, as a lot of authors rely on the same generic set up for battles and if they ever bring in something unique and interesting, they either let it go to waste or never push it to it's full potential.
