Quick question, /a/
Samurai Champloo: sub or dub?
>considers watching dub
i prefer sub
Oh come on, there are several shows out there that were dubbed well, this being one of them.
Would you put it on the level of the Cowboy Bebop/Howl's dubs? The Ghibli ones I totally go for, but even the widely praised Bebop dub sounded just too off to me - though that might be because I watched all of the sub first before I heard about the alternative being realistic. Also I know a TINY bit of Japanese left over from a couple elective courses I did at uni a few years ago.
I have a massive hard on for Kazuya Nakai's manly smoker voice.
Do you also have to ask this question before watching foreign language live-action?
I only consider the question when it's been brought to my attention that the dub is an outlier of quality in its own right. It happens, albeit rarely.
Good thing we're talking about cartoons where most of those problems don't exist.
Go away Adachi
Samurai Champloo dub isn't as bad as most, but it's still not worth it over the sub.
Who are you quoting?
People like both, die hard weaboos tend to favor the sub, normal well adjusted people tend to favor the dub.
Sub all day.
>literally ever, except Ghost Stories
Space Dandy-era /v/-/co/-ites please go.
>where most of those problems don't exist
But that's wrong you fucking retard. The only difference is with the mouth flaps, and even then you either get poor synchronization or dialogue that's forced to be written a certain way.
You could have attempted to mention these problems that apparently disappear, but you were incapable of doing that.
French dubs. I'm serious.
