What's the consensus on Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing?
For there to be a consensus, there must be people to have watched it first.
I heard the kawaii loli from the first series looks like shit in this one
I never did watch this past episode five.
Had a ton of potential, but really bad pacing problems hurt it. I suspect most people will just say "cute girl, me hate!"
Battles lacked sense of size and scale.
MC too genki.
Still don't know why last MC was crippled or if he and Lavi fuck. The manga didn't explain shit either.
It was pretty shit and not because they went with cute girls. The only worthwhile things to come out of it was Gise, moe Dio and the soundtrack.
Dio shot Klaus in a random moment of crazy. It was in the Fam extra material. It was just as fucking stupid as having him injured in the first place.
Good up till halfway, then the recaps drag it out, and the conflict in the second half has an unsatisfying climax.
real letdown after Last Exile
the only good thing that group of clowns ever produced
Maaya Sakamoto's in it/10
Best girl/plot device
The battles definitely lacked in the latter half of the show towards the conclusion, but the one in the second episode was one of the best I've seen. I wish the show had carried that episode's tone throughout, this kind of serious and melancholic outlook.
This was a disappointment. I mean, watch it if you want gratuitous airship porn (why else would you watch Last Exile in the first place?), but be prepared for generally unlikable characters whose actions make no sense at all. The original was better by far.
The wiki explains it so much better than you.
"Fam, the Silver wing - Aerial Log, documents Claus in the time between Travelers from the Hourglass, and Fam, the Silver Wing. Claus sustained serious injuries in a one on one confrontation with an amnesiac Dio, when the latter arrived on Earth tracing his faint memories. While his resulting injuries have confined him to a wheelchair, Claus has forgiven the recovered, and deeply resmorseful Dio. Claus' confident promise to heal and find his way back to the skies has comforted Dio. In return, this allowed Dio to find a renewed purpose to make sure the skies will be there to welcome Claus back."
As for Fam, I personally loved it. It retained a lot of the sense of adventure and world building that I loved in the first series and added new worthwhile characters. I didn't find Fam too genki as she was balanced out by some of the other, more down to earth characters (Milia and Giselle) Also, it was much better to view it at my own pace a second time, rather than as it was airing the first time. I feel like it was easy to miss a lot of the subtleties of the plot and character motivations when watched on a weekly basis among other shows.
That's not much better than my summary you know.
It was a pathetic and shallow move to write him out of the story and was rather indicative of the overall writing quality of Fam.
At least the not-Russians were cool.
A disappointing successor
the main characters where annoying , the main bad guys grand plot was retarded, the battles where nice but made no sense with the shows main theme. "we have no resources to spare but can afford to make thousands of giant carrier sized war ships.
>fucking show trying to make me and Russia girl sorry for shooting her sister
no, fuck you you don't get play the "sadness of war, poor her" card on someone who purposely choose to wipe out an entire country, shit doesn't work that way. bitch deserved to die.
Moeshit trash. The only good part was Dio. Dropped halfway through.
I can see why they did this otaku pandering shit though. Obviously they want moefags attention.
First half with it's "steal ship in most silly way", absurd cosplay scene was bad, but after battle with russians I even start to like this show.
I take solace in the fact that fam only came in third place in the race she's been creaming her bloomers over since she was a toddler.
>I suspect most people will just say "cute girl, me hate!"
There are plenty of reasons to hate it before that even enters the pictures. Fam was an annoying little shit, and had nothing to do with being cute. "Muh grand race!"
I watched it all the way through hoping something, anything would come along, take the few bits of potential the series had, and do something interesting with them, but no. In the end it was a pile of crushing mediocrity and a horribly disappointing sequel.
Skip it, OP. there's nothing of worth unless you really, really need to see Dio again (in which case I'd advise re-watching the original).
>otaku pandering shit
Kitamura Eri was Best Girl.
That alone saved the show for me.
Could be better.
Fam was annoying.
It's the worst sequel I've ever seen in my life. I go out of my way to try and keep people from watching it on accident.
Why is she in a washing machine?
Big disappointment. Fuck you Gonzo!
Caught between doing it little character driven in big world hidden fortress style and doing it grand political drama style.
So it dances between both and does a shit job of it.
Also the first shot is of her cunt. Come on.
Needed more Dio.
Entertaining, but nowhere near as good the original LE series.
Bringing Dio back to life was the biggest "WTF are they doing?" moment of Silver Wing.
>Watch I watched:
>What I expected:
Vanships and Vespas kicking tail
>What I got:
A girl bungee jumping in her underwear.
I liked it.
Also, the Guild were awesome in that area.
Gisey was kind.
Fam and the little princess was kind of "MY FREINDSHIT IS MAGIC MUST SURVIFVE TO TEL FRRENDX" but many of the other elements made up for it imo.
The overall visual quality was improved aswell, so I'm happy.
They could've managed without the fanservice though.
It also had my favourite ED to this day.
Amazing first 2 episodes.
All down hill after that. Goes a little to SoL and drags. Somehow there's only enough politics and war for 21 episodes, so there's 3 recap.
<What I think of this series.
I forgot to add, that the whiny little Millia shit didn't help in the beginning, not fond of the whole 'I can't accept the fact we got ravaged by super tech' etc. It's not unwatchable, just not that good 5/10.
I think the biggest problem i had with this series is that it was too brightly colored. had they given it that grungy darker mated scheme from the 1st series, it would have at LEAST looked good.
I've been on the fence for a long time as I loved the first series but keep reading comment along the line of "Don't watch if you liked the original."
It was career ruiningly bad.
>someone who purposely choose to wipe out an entire country,
She did it for a good cause.
It was complete shit
They could've made some SoL OVA episodes of LE with Dio, Immelman, Alvis and others.
Shit would be glorious.
And remake last episodes so it won't feel rushed as fuck.
Maybe some Hourglass OVA series.
Drunk Claus - hnnng!
it was if some chris chan dude combined K-on and A bit of last exile.
FAMU FAMU FANFAMUFAMU FAN FAN?!
shit. needed more battles and space russians.
I don't get the hate it gets. Last Exile's a show you mainly watch for the world-building, OST & designs and Fam kept all of that.
Plus I actually liked the characters, and it had more based Dio.
Though I have to admit I stalled on it, but that wasn't because I didn't like it, I just usually stall on 2 cour anime.
Fam is hidden gem
if you would read the damn thread no one is complaining about the ships and designs. We're complaining that the characters and story were shit.
My point was that Fam kept the things which made Last Exile what it was.
If you watched the original Last Exile because someone said it had a great plot, you'd probably come out a little disappointed. So why do people hate Fam for having the same failing?
You just need more CHAINSAW WINGS in your life.
So it was generally that most found the characters unlikeable?
LE did have it's faults, but I ended up loving many of the characters.
I haven't touched this because I keep thinking that it will shit over my watch for the first, but with this being a new cast, was it not separate enough?
What did it lack or do wrong to the world that would ruin someone's memory of LE?
>What did it lack or do wrong to the world that would ruin someone's memory of LE?
The original Last Exile had 2 great serious Main Characters in Ravy and Claus.
SW's main characters were one air headed sleepwalker and one whinny good for nothing forgettable character in Fam and what's her name.see, FORGETTABLE!
Then SW brought back to life Dio who had been killed at the end of the original series. That was seriously messed up. Alvis was in it but didn't play that much of a role. (in and out in like 2 episodes)
The plot itself was rather bad. With it being a 3-4 way war, you really couldn't get the felling of the war from any one side enough; Besides maybe Turan and it's younger princess Millia. Who BTW was another whinny forgettable character had she not been thrust in our faces every 2 seconds wanting to win her country back.
Then there was the color scheme. the original had a grungy dark look to it that made it look Steam punkish. Silver Wing didn't have that and it lost that steam punk feeling becasue of it.
Anyway there's just too much to go into about how bad this series was compared to the original, but those are pretty much the main reasons. I'm not saying the show was an epic fail, I'm saying it there was too much wrong with it for it to be good.
It's just boring.
There may be some amount of world building, but it's not very interesting. There's characters, but I ended up not giving a fuck about any of them after the first few episodes. It's plenty separate - it brought back nothing I wanted to see from the first (before someone mentions it, I love Dio, but I thought he was dead) and plenty of stuff I didn't care much about (was anyone REALLY desperate to see chainsaw guy again)?
The ships were mostly boring, the villain was mostly boring the factions were super boring (they managed to make sky pirates boring!) - looking back on it, I can't remember anything ACTUALLY interesting about the show. There were a few times I got hyped, but in hindsight I feel like I was forcing myself to get hyped because it was Last Exile and I wanted it to be good.
It's not the sort of thing that retroactively ruined the first season, it was just a serious disappointment as a sequel. I guess Claus got fucked up, but whatever, he has so little presence that I barely even noticed. Watch it if you want to, because you have some obsessive need to see all the LE stuff, but it's not very entertaining. The original Last Exile was an adventure; Fam is a chore.
Double standards seem to apply to Fam. It gets criticised for poor plot when the LE plot wasn't the best.
It gets criticised for annoying characters, when LE had, for instance, Lavie, who was an over-anxious cry baby. Character motivations for me are about the same; the villains in fact are more in depth than "We're simply better than everybody and therefore must oppress them." Not that that's a poor motivation as such, it's just in Fam the bad guys motivation's are a but more complex.
Oh, I will say re:factions that the Not-Russians and their neat fighter planes were okay.
But it's a testemant to the story's shittiness that I can barely remember what they did.
I dropped it and all I remember now is that Tatiana is a serious cutie
You seem to be confusing 'complex' with 'good'. LE's story was fine - it admittedly drags in a couple spots but was enjoyable on the whole. It was just simple.
Fam's story was fucking boring. And it's villain's motives may have been more complex, but they certainly weren't remotely interesting.
I dropped it too and all I remember is that Gilly or whatever her name is was pretty cute.
On, and as far as annoying characters, Lavy (and Claus) could be a little annoying every once in a while, but they felt like humans swept up into events beyond their control. Fam felt like a fucking cardboard cutout with no conception of what might be important at any given moment. Lavie could be annoying, but she wasn't a fucking sorry excuse for a character.
Gise (I think that was her name?) was probably the least obnoxious new character.
Mostly that famufamufanfanfamu was blatant moe pandering, especially compared to the femc's in LE.
inb4 moefags are butthurt
It was, but that wasn't what made it bad. You can have that sort of stuff in good shows.
Saying its bad because of pandering really understates how bad it is.
At least you remembered such crucial fact.
Remind me, what was the point of Hitrer's desire to kill all.
He hadn't much to revenge over.
He was just asspained that people who left the Earth to regenerate, dare to come back later and reclaim their territories from people who were left behind.
That is hardly excuse for genocide.
Sounds like LE nostalgia.
Actually, it is.
>Only one has anything resembling actual character development
Also, how Fam addressed the whole point Luscinia was trying to get across with the Grand Exile thing was weak. Now that I think about it, for all the touble he cause Luscinia's point was pretty damn weak as well.
Oh, and I was hoping people would make more Delphine porn but that never came to pass.
I dunno, the upheavals caused by a sudden massive population influx of people who thought they still had a claim to land they abandoned centuries ago is a pretty good thing to get mad about.
And that happened what, 4 times as the Exiles returned?
Thank you. This is exactly what I had been wanting to know.
Every time someone mentions Fam, I think Last Exile and the whole feeling of the first keeps coming back. I loved the balance of the cast and development for multiple characters on multiple sides along with Claus and Lavie.
How great was the Silvana crew? What about that little peek into other fleets through Mullin and Dunya? Backstory between Alex, Vincent, and Sophia.
And then there was Dio and Luciola.
But if you guys are saying that the character intimacy for the new cast is gone on top of a different world atmosphere, then it probably is best to not watch it.
Lavie got to me a few times.
One point I remember disliking was the jealousy when Claus and Tatiana returned. But besides that, she had reason and they brought her back nicely. Lavie had to grow.
Though I do see your point about a Villain having greater motive. But it was terribly wonderful for Delphine to rule as she did simply because she could. She was pretty much an embodiment of the deadly sins -- A egotistical picture of excessiveness in every way.
It was awful to watch her.
So was Dio shown alive on that book years ago because they decided to leave it open for a possible sequel or were they not able to fit it into the origin series? Does that explain the heard "Ascending!"?
Cute lesbians, boring show
Not enough sky piracy
Show ruined everyone's careers. School Food Punishment split up shortly after.
Yeah, that post didn't really make clear that I understand why Lavie had the responses she did.
She was a 15 year old caught up on the frontlines of a global revolution and her childhood friend was potentially involved with someone who had been arrogant as fuck towards her. I get her reactions, it just didn't stop them from being annoying on screen.
Dio had no business in being alive. Him and Luciola were the best part of the original.
>they canonized her as a straight shotacon wannabe ntring whore
Damnit. So much for best girl.
neither did that rifleman, but he ends up being alive in the wheatfield which was bullshit
everything was so rushed in the second half of the first season. It's such a pity that it never got popular or else it'd have gotten the two seasons it needed to pace the story properly.
I was down with Mullin surviving. I kinda thought the setup with Dunya was so she would eventually betray/kill the dude. He's a regularfag that got by with his litany against fear.
It's one thing for him to survive through the story, I liked him. However, the way they did it was just retarded, they set him up with a proper death scene, but then suddenly come out at the ending with a SURPRISE HE WAS OKAY. I hate that bullshit. I wanted my bittersweet ending.
I suppose they may have handled it better if they had more episodes to work with so I can't really blame them. I'm still a bit asspained that one of my favorite settings in an anime had such a compromised plot towards its end.
On the subject of Dio, at least his "death" was ambiguous, especially when they have superhuman genes or a suit that's potentially a parachute/glider. And quite frankly, he was the only reason I kept watching S2 because he was too cute.
What the fuck are you about?!
Knock yourself out.
He was also the muscle against Luscinia and his merry band of genetically modified dudes.
Guild really is bunch of easily corrupted fellows. I wonder where their creators went wrong.
by not genetically modifying the behaviour of everyone to be loyal to their authority and a set of ideals
>set him up with a proper death scene, but then suddenly come out at the ending with a SURPRISE HE WAS OKAY. I hate that bullshit. I wanted my bittersweet ending.
You do realize he could have just been badly wounded and had passed out on the lever right?
>Fam, The Silver Wing
It has some good moments. Plot, politics, character motivations are often kiddy-level simplified though.
I think I lost a few IQ points by the end of the series.
While that's true, it really does seem like he dies in the show. I don't blame anon for expecting him to be dead.
>by not genetically modifying the behaviour of everyone to be loyal to their authority and a set of ideals
As exemplified by the Abh, who blew up their creators? At least they had the decency to be freaked out by the act.
bumping with superior heroine.
She sure was more interesting character than Fam, but she also had her annoying moments.
unlike Fam who was annoying 24/7
Who survived Tomo will deal with anything.
is that supposed to be two sentences?
I just want to say that Lavie is olev and the lot of you are faggots.
Except you, you're alright.
I agree. Lavie is wonderful.
>Except you, you're alright.
why thank you!
That's not what kept me watching.
What kept me with the original is the balls on these guys to line up as block infantry on flipping airships.
Why you ask? For enough Chuckee Cheeze tickets to get out of the damn infantry killboxes.
That's metal and ridiculous in equal measure.
Guild on Prester was lead by "Maestro" of decadence and embodiment of deadly sins.
She likely came with these rules of engagement for her own entertainment.
As shown in aforementioned manga, Guild in general got high and mighty in their head.
Lavie is BEST GIRL
Best girl for Claus? Sure.
Best Girl in Last Exile?! Not Really.
Tatiana, Alister and Sophia are more worthy of the title.
Was that supposed to be witty remark?
Dio's got a pleasant view.
Dio is interested only in Immelman.
Wake up, anon.
The first last exile wass ass as well. No idea why it has a following on /a/. What could have been an anime about flying machines became some fucking inter dimensional magic bullshit in the last 3 episodes.
No anon, Dio's best girl.
Have you considered the fact that in a 24 episode anime people considered more than the last 3 episodes?
There wasn't much going on before that either. The only thing I remember were the races which were interesting. It was so forgettable, what exactly was the main plot again?
There was plenty going on; airships and adventure and wonder and world building. The plot was just a device to carry those things, not something which had to stand up on its own.
Is Alex Rowe gonna have to choke a bitch?!
Guild after Alvis, Dio after Immelman, Silvana and her crew. Mullin Shetland. Chainsaw wings.
Dio is best catgirl.
>some fucking inter dimensional magic bullshit in the last 3 episodes
It was a space colony. This was clearly shown in the anime. You're stupid.
Is it possible for a 3D male to pull off that side braid thing?
Fams OP was shit.
It's hard to top BAGPIPES.
But I still like first ending the most.
Cloud Age Symphony is still one of my favorite OPs of all time
It's quite memorable OP.
And to me it's also reminder of German OP for Escaflowne.
Wow. Did you guys have long running live threads?
Must have been nice to get to discuss LE.
I wanted to ask about that. How was the OST for Fam?
It happens from time to time.
Strange thing is that BAGPIPES make Fam op quite nice.
just mute fam op.
The OP and ED really depend on personal taste but none of them were as stand out as Cloud Age Symphony.
The actual OST had the same composer as the original, so it was pretty good.
>Wow. Did you guys have long running live threads?
While Fam was running? Yeah, we had nice big speculation threads. They moved at that nice pace where they don't die but also don't fill up quickly.
It was fine. I personally liked the original's a bit more, but that's just opinion.
Fair and square. Over The Sky also holds special place in my heart, topped maybe only by Yakusoku Wa Iranai and Starry Sky.
Did Fam bomb?
Luscinia was right.
It was neither here nor there really. It wasn't a blockbuster seller or anything but it was no C3-bu either. ~2.5k across all volumes.
I was expecting this to be about Kartoffel being bombed.
It is about Millia failing at making potato pancakes.
There are two great things about this illustration
1 Klaus is unphased by all the undergarmented whores and ecstatic at the sight of Dio
2 Imagining Dio is about to knee-cap Klaus in his amnesia
Lucciola had the best life.
And Mullin is checking Alvis' ass. What a true lolibro.
This pretty much sums up Last Exile in its entirety
its a shit show wherein the only good thing was the original air race in the first episode and maybe the OST for the series
His waifu is also amazed by the superior guild butt.
>claus in a wheelchair
His hips moved on their own.
Prolly busted his hips fucking all the bitches swoonig over his shota ass.
Isn't he like 15/16 on LE?
Impressive... Now give us example of similar show that you won't consider shit. You anime expert.
He's 16 if I remember correctly.
KlausxEmpress still counts as straight shota.
Empress wasn't even twenty in Last Exile and Princess was seventeen.
You 'muricans are hilarious at times.
I don't give a shit about official anime ages, it still looked like an adult kissing a boy.
My dick does not care what arbitrary numbers they've been assigned.
Neither do I give a damn, that Sophia decided to hide her youth under facade of strict governess.
Every time I listen to this track I want to go on adventures.
Fuck I need a vanship...
Hang on a second.
will a vespa do?
She is like 2 years older than Claus.
And still she was canonized already in the artbooks as part of Claus' harem. And her girlfriend too. Such life on the man-made moons, the males are scarce.
it was extremely disappointing. Started off good/decent, but by the break, it just turned to shit. Also Liliana a shit.
He was actually more of Maximillian von Britannia.
After all, it serves as exception to the rule that Sawashiro is always Best Girl.
Gisey is love, outside of that and the Godly OP its pretty bad. The pacing absolutely ruined it.
>Gisey is love
that's pushing it. she was pretty annoying in her own right.
I liked her for the most part
Except when she was being emo in her washing machine, that was just annoying
When she wasn't being invisible, which was most of the show, she could be annoying or cute.
From this thread, it seems it's just me who liked Millia though. She was the only character that managed to make me care for her at least a bit.
Please tell me you're not serious....
I am. At least she had some development and a reasonable motivation. The not-russian girls were alright too, but I can't even remember their names.
Using cute girls didn't ruin it, the bad plot and characters did. LE wasn't perfect but the world building was coupled with a good story and some great mysteries, plus you actually gave a shit about Claus and his friends, especially the people at that ship.
FAM had no one and the whole plight to restore a race was fucking boring. Couple that with shitty villains and a weak world and you got yourself a pretty disappointing sequel that not even Dio could save.
Fuck your opinions, the villain was great, the characters were good, if underexlored, the world is the same.
All you niggers hated Fam from day one.
>I am. At least she had some development and a reasonable motivation
Motivation yes, but the rest of her personality was excruciating to watch. Only Fam was worse.
How about another Ravy pic.
Fam was cute. The series is almost in DTB S2 levels.
It can't hurt.
What the actual fuck. Why does horrible shit always happen to true end ships when there's a timeskip? This is why I dropped the Eureka Seven sequel.
What's next? FMA timeskip where it turns out Winry died from the same disease as Edward's mother? Another HnK timeskip where Bat died in a fight and Lin got taken by bandits, raped and mindbroken? Golden Time timeskip where Linda somehow isn't a shit?
>The series is almost in DTB S2 levels.
So basically, horrible end for S1 MC? Fucking Japan.
i can see why they might have wanted to go in that direction but i agree, going from washed out industrial Europe to vomiting rainbow chinky color schemes took a little while to get used to.
What is Alvis doing down there?
At least you can just not watch this and pretend there was a happy end. Nothing's worse than worst girl actually winning. See Kannazuki no Miko.
Dio was alive in the first series, you could hear him chanting in some ship i don't remember and what not; i'm too tired, cold and with a bad case of stomachache to think clearly right now.
So if someone remember better than me then help me.
>mfw 3 recap episodes
I didn't even think they actually did recap episodes anymore, or at least not with that kind of frequency
On that note, remember episode 2? God that was an amazing episode.
Most scary thing is, that I recall it to be actually OVA, despite the issues with QUALITY.
Having THREE recap episodes in OVA that isn't even full length, and felt rushed however we look at it, is rather inexcusable.
>remember episode 2?
only good episode of the entire series. It actually screamed Last Exile battle. the rest of the series is a a total mess.
Got you covered.
Was there actually anyone in Fam that they didn't try and redeem? At least Delphine died like the retarded bitch she was and they didn't try and shove some half assed bullshit about how she was good all along down your throat.
Needs more brown or it isn't Last Exile enough.
Really, don't bother watching it, the way they degraded EVERYONE from S1 except for Vincent(who was badass because he no longer had to contend with Alex).
If you stilllove S1, don't watch S2, because it'll just ruin the series for you as a whole. S2 is also the final proof that Last Exile as a whole was inspired from FFIX, since while Last Exile has a similar plot as the first half of FFIX, LE2's is heavily similar to FFIX' 2nd half.
I see that you have conveniently forgot about Best Girls.
Let me fix that mistake of yours.
LE2 ruined them
To no one's surprise, I won't share your sentiment.
Tatiana and Alister made Silver Wing actually interesting to watch and they alone were its redeeming value.
Why is adult Alister always so high?
Always busy plotting something for her amusement. I rather liked that malicious side of her.
I have to disagree with you. I don't think SW ruined them the manga did that much better but they were a shallow shadow of themselves throughout the entire show. Except maybe the very beginning. Same as Dio.
She grew into a very lonely woman.
I hate to say it but wasn't the "grungy" look of the 1st series caused by all the constant cloud cover cause by the Guild and Lady Delphine's Grand Stream? After the Guild was defeated and the Grand stream dissipated the skies cleared and brightened.
>shallow shadow of themselves throughout the entire show.
Except Vincent, again, he actually got better.
Both Tatiana and Alister had a thing for Claus, and yet their reactions weren't seen in the final episode when Claus did appear.
Just like what you said, they feel like shadows, LE2 as a whole felt like it was from another dimension.
>Except Vincent, again, he actually got better.
Vincent really didn't suffer as much as a character as the others carried over from S1, but mostly because he was never a forefront character in the first place. Even then, the lack of Alex as a rival did hurt his charm a bit.
i was hoping for an ova or something where clause gets better and the rest of them just pod race for 40 minutes but apparently gonzo got rid of their cgi department, if some anon is to be believed.
Fam is set on Earth, not on the hourglass planet.
And the main faction is based on colorful persia, as opposed to poor prussia.
People complaining about lack of brown are a bit retarded.
>Fam is set on Earth, not on the hourglass planet.
Wut? WTF are you talking about? They've been on Earth the entire time. the "hour glass" planet was the mother ship that was supposed to take Humanity into space but was never used.
You seems to be still mad, that Alister plotted the whole "meating", just so uncle would have his try on chewing out Claus, and Tatiana would be all embarrassed around him.
But shy Tatiana was miracle of the universe, and mischievous Alister was entertaining on its own. REGARDLESS of the consequences.
The have Tatiana.
But that's wrong, retard. Read the extra materials for the first season. Last Exile is set on the Prester (the hour glass thing) in space and the Exile is supposed to return them to Earth. Fam is set after the Exile has returned them to Earth. How the fuck can you sit through all of Fam without realizing that? It's was fundamental to the plot, retarded as it was.
Don't you dare insult my Navigatorfu! She thought she was getting replaced, don't tell me you wouldn't act the same way if you were in her shoes.
>You seems to be still mad
You are assuming I'm the dude who complained about Tatiana and SS. You are wrong. I just thought the manga in general was a disservice to the original series. Allister plot was actually one of the few things I did like and was very in-character, I'll give you that.
Holy shit nigga how can you watch Last Exile and miss the fact that the two faction live on opposite ends of the hourglass, with the guild and the grand stream in the middle. Even failing to understand the russians coming down from beyond the clouds and loosing ships in the winds, they have fucking hourglass shaped maps of the wind streams!
The Exiles (spaceships) come in many shapes, but not hourglass afaik.
Not really, just that you mentioned manga of all things. But it can't be helped.
Tatiana is one of my most favorite characters ever. Nothing can change that.
I love her in S1. Not my favorite, but I think she's great. I just think neither the manga nor SW anime made her justice.
Ending was utter, utter shit.
>I am EVIL BAD GUY for 20+ episodes
>"stop doing bad things!"
God I regret watching this garbage.
That's alright. I don't expect my devotion from the others. I'm just around as proof it exists.
OMG are you guys really falling for the misunderstood timeline that has since been repeatedly corrected by series creator and director Koichi Chigira?
The Prester was a Gigantic space ship that was the Mother ship to the Exiles. The Exiles were transport ships that were supposed to transport the Human population from Earth to the Prester which would then go out into space. However the colonization never happened. Koichi himself has said that Prester was NEVER boarded until the end of the 1st Last Exile when the Exile from the 1st series took people to see the Prester. They then laded BACK ON EARTH WHERE THEY HAD STARTED.
The Guild had been using Weather control technology that had separated the two countries with the Grand Stream. After the Guild was defeated and the weather technology was deactivated/destroyed they were finally able to travel to the other countries on the Earth which included the countries from Silver Wing. This is why the two countries from the 1st series look so massive against the smaller countries from SW on a map.
I'm 12 and what is this?
Jesus fucking christ you're retarded. They boarded the EXILE at the end of the first series. THE EXILE.
They were on the Prester the entire time. Dissith and Antoray were two mini-planets at each end of the hourglass shaped Prester. The Grand Stream was turbulence in the middle contraction, which is why it was directionally upwards for both countries. If they were on Earth how was it upwards?
There is nothing to misunderstand about that timeline. It is directly from the additional materials that came with the first series. It perfectly explains everything that occurs from in the series.
Instead of sperging bullshit out of your ass that makes no sense, how about you try posting a source. But you wont because you wont find one. Your "explanation" is fucking bullshit you've pulled out of your ass and explains nothing. Compared to the real, thoroughly documented explanation that explains everything right down to Antoray's water shortage.
Stupid or just flamebaiting? Who knows. But I'll give you 2/10 for typing all of that.
Posting Empress Sophia, because it's meant to be so.
Please tell me people are not this stupid enough to still be reading the incorrect timeline. Anon >>100456142 is correct. Director Chigira cleared it up a couple of years ago.
