Just finished the newest season of Rozen Maiden and I have to say that it went pretty well, besides that ending of course. I had no clue what happened in the first episode, but I'm guessing its a recap of the important events that happened in Traumend and the original series.
What were your thoughts on this season compared to its previous seasons? Did it follow the manga properly? Is the manga worth picking up? What is the reason for the revised version of the first manga? Why do I want to start collecting antique dolls? Why was Kirakishou so lewd?
First episode was a character intro and world setup since the events in this one are different than the original manga and animes. Like the new manga didn't have the whole recap bit, it just went straight into unwound Jun territory.
The ending actually setup where they are now in the manga with Megu being a huge cunt
I question why the series is moving in that direction. It seems kind of risky for there to be 2 MCs that are actually the same person. It seems somewhat pointless for the older Jun to even appear after everything was finished.
Is there any speculation that older Jun is somehow related to the creator of the dolls? He seemed to have a knack for creating them.
I really disliked her for the short time she appeared.
Currently older Jun needs to save younger Jun again because bitch ain't ded and is using Megu now
The manga is a masterpiece, pick it up now so that you're ready for the ending that should arrive around Sunday.
How far have the scanlations gotten?
Unfortunately, we're only at Ch. 53, and Chinese scans for Tale 66, the final chapter, should come out in a few days.
I still like the series though. It seemed to be quite different than the series that have been recently coming out. I think it may be the atmosphere, characters, and the pacing; also a lack of fanservice which I am somewhat ok with.
Recently, it seems like things are so fast paced or random. It felt nice to just sit back and relax for once. Jun took 3 or 4 episodes just making a doll with little plot development and character development in between. Much better than the infodump episodes or fanservice episodes that don't have any meaning which appear in anime so often.
So the new Rozen Maiden manga seems to be focusing on older Jun instead of younger Jun, even though younger Jun is the original character for the dolls. It almost feels like they are replacing younger Jun, but you know that in the end older Jun is going to leave the dolls with younger Jun, so it seems kind of pointless to develop older Jun's character anymore.
Is it really ending so soon? Should I just read the Rozen Maiden II and revised version of Rozen Maiden? Or should I read all three?
Just read and watch everything Rozen Maiden related.
Why is Shinku so perfect?
That scene was so cute. Could she possibly be the best doll?
She is. Peach-Pit confirmed it.
She should be with Jum forever. But I'm afraid they'll end the series with him putting away childish things. ;_;
Oh, you're in for a surprise. A huge surprise about Jun.
>tfw translations won't get to that plot twist until around April
Care to do some spoiling?
Jun is Father.
Shinku becomes Alice.
Seriously? If thats a twist for you, you should watch MoMH.
But nvm,spoil more.
Wouldn't that make him a dick for not finishing suigintou and not even giving barasuishou body?
Do they finally explain what it means to become Alice? Do the other dolls get to keep their personhood at all?
Or for starting this whole Alice Game in the first place.
I thought the Alice game was a big misconception. None of the girls want to fight and even suigintou was wondering if fighting was really the right way to play.
Suigintou and Megu die after having passionate lesbian sex. I'll post the page with their love confessions if you want.
Kira's world is actually Rozen's castle.
Toriumi is a Father replacement created by Kirakishou. Not that big of a twist, but whatever.
There's more, but my Japanese isn't good enough to fully decipher the doll's flashback.
No, that's completely and utterly false.
>I'm not Alice.
Laplace's Demon was the one that started it. Rozen can't do shit about it. In Tale 62, Jun asks Rozen to stop the Alice Game, and he responds that he couldn't do that.
But the whole sentence is 私は貴方の望む娘では…アリスではない, which could also imply that she's already Alice, just not the Alice that Father wished for.
I interpreted that sentence as "I'm not the daughter you wished for...I'm not Alice." It kind of depends on what you define as "Alice" but I'm getting "The Embryo" vibes from this (if you've read Shugo Chara, you'll know what I mean).
I-It's okay right? S-Suigintou came back three times from the dead before... surely she will survive this, right?
Well the 2013 rozen maiden was pretty fine, was fun to watch and all and I liked the OP and ED.
The original was still better of course.
Rozen Maiden got screwed hard after they had to abruptly end the first story due to management.

holy bump for dolljoints
>tfw no magically animated doll to suck your dick
this will be my music while I read it:
I can't tell if she is cockteasing Jum.
Because she is best doll
Also what the hell is up with the posting delays for images now?
Favorite song out of this season's soundtrack. This one isn't too bad either
barasuishou wasn't the only one who was lewd.
I don't know how to feel about this.
What's going on in this thread?
