STANDING HERE I REALIZE
>Rin's battle with Sakura will be short and anticlimactic
>Shirou and Kirei will talk for hours before even throwing a punch
>Sakura and Rider marries me
YOU WERE JUST LIKE ME
I doubt Ufotable can do the scene justice. They'll probably have lots of CG and and they'll keep cutting away from the scene to something boring
But in the end it has to be this way. ;_;
Kirei was the hero we deserved
MGR fags have gotten way worse ever since it became available on Steam.
kirei route when
Kirei Prime vs Armstrong.
Who would win?
A DESOLATE PLACE
WITHOUT ANY TRACE
IT'S ONLY COLD WIND THAT I FEEEL
IT'S ME THAT I SPITE
AS I STAND UP AND FIGHT
THE ONLY THING I KNOW FOR REEAAL
FAMILIAR BLOOD FLOWS THROUGH THE HEART OF TIN
There will be blood-shed
The man in the mirror nods his head
The only one left
Will ride upon the dragon’s back
Because the mountains don’t give back what they take
There will be blood-shed
It’s the only thing I’ve ever known
Someone needs to drawfag Shirou as Raiden.
Shirou vs Kirei: Pointless fight
Raiden vs Armstrong : Pointless fight
Sounds about right.
Can Shirou trace swords with HF properties?
Shirou vs Kirei was just there to be the final battle. Because obviously 2 girls fighting would be anticlimactic.
Hikari to Yami is still the best song in all of Fate.
It wasn't pointless faggot.
Too bad it only plays for 5 seconds in one scene and isn't even on youtube.
I fucking deadlift to this shit.
[spoilers]RULES OF NATURE[/spoilers]
RULES OF NATURE
Superior fucking taste.
What is the deal with Fate and MGR? Did I miss something?
I think the MGR fans are just so excited they're spilling everywhere.
Though "muh sword of justice" does kind oh fit Shirou, but not really.
The muh swords of justice was such bullshit.
I hated the story of MGR, I just loved it for the cuhrazy boss battles.
Time for Jack to let 'er RIP!
Mighty Wind superior.
>Shirou vs Kirei: Pointless fight
Not when you know what was exactly that dagger that killed Kirei. But I'm sure even that resulted in YUETSU for him.
This song needs a rework for Fate. It needs an Emiya version as Kotomine and Emiya are about to fight, then a gentle, acoustic or instrumental version that plays from the end of the battle til the end of the grail.
The HF fight, anon. The one where Kotomine goes "We're two madmen, engaging in a useless folly."
Don't worry, MGS V will be another overly melodramatic military soap opera that continues to paint Big >I will take war orphans and raise them to become perfect soldiers and then send them to continue the global war, I also stole the scientist that developed Oilix and all nuclear warheads in the world Boss as a misunderstood revolutionary.
Of course they can't end that route with just Sakura and Rin fighting.
They needed two manly men to do the final battle. And it was pretty cool. Shirou was turning into swords. Swords were coming out from inside him
Kirei can't get through his skin, so I'm going with the senator.
>Shirou was turning into swords. Swords were coming out from inside him
And it was pretty fucking cool.
The fight determined the fate of the human race by deciding if the literally god of evil would be born into the world.
It was a METAPHORICALLY pointless battle because it was a battle between broken people clinging to a last remnant of their dreams with full knowledge that they would never get any resolution or satisfaction no matter if they won or lost. But LITERALLY it was a super important battle.
I always love the people who say Kotomine never lies.
What if swords came out of Shirou's eye sockets? ouch. Or what about his butthole.
What would Sakura do then
TRIED TO MAKE HISTORY
It had some pretty great scenes
We've always known that Shirou is a tsundere.
Fuck, i forgot about that. I guess it depends on how well Armstrong's nanomachines can heal him.
And if he has EXCELSUS, then Kirei is fucked.
Back to /v/ with you.
>But LITERALLY it was a super important battle.
This. I hate how people always parrot the game like retards without actually thinking about what it meant.
I got something Saber can marry, know what I mean fellas ;D
>But I'm sure even that resulted in YUETSU for him.
I have to wonder, if in that split second before being blown LITERALLY apart, he realized the irony of it all and if he got erect.
These three MADE the last route.
Got that 4koma about Shirou imitating Archer?
Do you people read those Ilya doujins where Shirou makes really stupid faces?
Bitch, I've got two.
Or does it count as three when this one is a double?
Err, gonna have to be more specific there buddy.
Kotomine is great, but Archer is even better.
You words say no, but your imitation flatters more than you can know.
To be fair, I doubt anyone can really do it justice, we just have to hope it comes close
Same thing she would do normally, figure it out or deal with it somehow.
That was the best thing in HF, she at least thought about alternative ways of helping Shirou, despite her condition, she even muses on ways to fix the GARm, says her magic isn't suited to fix it, and says she'll ask Rider about it. Then when Shirou tells her to stay home when he went to the forest she sends Rider and watches over him with remote vision, which ends up saving everyone. Then she figured out ways to mitigate the problems with the doll body in HF True.
Girl is resourceful, I like that.
15 more days until the big reveal.
You know what annoys me more than some unpleasable neckbeard on /a/ talking about how no studio can do his favorite scene justice?
I'm sure the scenes in this new Fate show will be just as good as Fate/Zero, and if your opinion of Fate/Zero was "didn't do justice," you're an idiot.
Big reveal, I can give you a preview:
>implying he wasn't diamonds throughout the entire battle
One thing that I always thought was neat in Heaven's Feel was how Sakura kind of clung to her identity as a magus of the Matou clan. Even though they never really taught her anything and made her miserable, she still thought of herself as the scion of that family when Rin and Illya turned up at the Emiya household.
When they mentioned that she'd sold all the Matou books and whatnot in the HF Good End I was kind of disappointed. It was probably better for her and Shirou, but it still bummed me out.
To be fair, in a sense he's right.
When you have that kind of opinion the nostalgia for the old scene simply won't be in the adaptation even if it's objectively better (implying objective quality is a thing) than the original was
Except Sakura was never a magi and never will be. She's the same as Shirou, a magic user.
Wait what's the difference between a magi and a magic user if coming from a bloodline of magi doesn't make you one? Is this the whole personality of a magi argument again?
> Is this the whole personality of a magi argument again?
Sakura is a proper magus. She's had actual training in the techniques of a magic family with a long lineage. She just doesn't actually know anything about magic or even how to use the spells her body knows at will because the worm room was "training that beat the spells into the body." That's why she was a badass as soon as she was so consumed by evil that she couldn't think properly. Magical muscle memory took over.
I'd like if Nasu's next story focused on the church.
Tsukihime 2's outline suggested it had a lot more stuff about the Church and the Clock Tower.
Hold onto hope I guess.
If that means focus on Kirei I'd be all for it
I want to see if the protestants, orthodoxes and muslims have their own brand of executors
Most boring shit of all
You'd best be being contrary, I'll bet you like Ciel too
I like Ciel, but Kotomine bores me to no end.
She told Shirou she hates the Matou magic, mainly because there is no use for it besides "taking away from others". So she never said she was proud of it. She just got mad when people would look down on her for being associated with the Matou.
And Zouken never gave her the actual crest, so she already knew the heir thing was a sham from the get-go. The worms are a pet project Zouken made that effectively ruined the family.
No, it was that for the first time in her life she could actually use the power she was supposed to have all along, but got busted up for eleven years by someone's experiments. As the Avenger thing was more of an accident and AM became super effective primarily because of her talent, it just goes to show that Zouken was wasting her gifts even more than was already apparent.
Caster says she has super potential in Hollow as well.
Since it's heavily implied that the Holy Church is in fact The Catholics in Nasuverse, I often wonder how the actual history of the Catholic church has changed them over time. How did they deal with Pope Borgia? Was there more to that split between East and West than history recorded? What about the struggle between Catholicism and Protestantism, especially since Francis Drake aka Queen Elizabeth is a Heroic Spirit. And speaking of Heroic Spirits, what were the Executors up to during the Crusades, when the 19 Hassans and the Assassin's Order were yucking it up in the middle east? What kind of power does the Church have in the USA, where Catholicism is a relative minority faith in most of the country compared to various other Christian branches?
I wonder why I knew that was coming? Sakura too I suppose?
I don't like Sakura.
Not him, but I've actually found that a lot of people who like Kotomine (or at least, people who actually like him as a character and not for superficial reasons) like Sakura too. I know I like both of them.
Probably a bunch of people will respond and prove me wrong, though.
Was the UBW movie any good?
I said I DOUBT, not saying they can't do it. But from the way Fate/Zero went (cutting from a great scene to something more boring then cutting again to the great scene, also with lots of CG) you can't really blame me.
I'd rather be honest than a butthurt Ufotable fanboy.
It sucked, sex scene was dolphins. Everything was crammed into an hour. Fight scene animation was decent. Soundtrack was decent.
Overall it was okay, I give it a 3/10.
Sakura and Kotomine are great characters and not just because they're beautiful.
It was like holding Ctrl through the entire route.
It's okay if you've already read UBW route.
At first he reminded me of Sayaka. Then he reminded me of Sayaka even harder.
I nearly pissed myself laughing when
> Jack .... IS BACK
>animation was decent
I haven't got it on me, but you know the picture im talking about. And the soundtrack is all f/sn stuff anyway. All the deen f/sn stuff is -2/10 compare your anime to mine and kill yourself tier
RULES OF NATURE
Alright, I guess I'll have to give the movie a shot then.
Any announcements regarding Heaven's Feel?
It's as good as DEEN's FSN adaptation.
I did that right after I finished the UBW route.
My disappointment could cover an entire city.
Yeah, Zouken really wasted everything he got with her, and has the nerve to say he didn't expect much from her. No dumbass, when you take an excellent bird and then clip their wings and give them drugs to weaken them, of course they seem like weaksauce.
Maybe if you stop tossing people who have any sort of magical potential into the glue factory and hand over your real crest for once, things might change. Not accepting any apprentices for a century didn't help either.
Is that so? I've often found the opposite (though I didn't go and check each time "Hello do you like Kirei for shallow or deep reasons?" ) As you can probably guess I'm the opposite as well, disliking both for the non superficial reasons. It's not because she's a wormslut, stealing away a route/Shirou nor because her voice annoys me to no end, it's all the putting her eggs in one basket (single mindedness on Shirou), complaining deserved or not, self excusing, and victimizing she does.
Regardless as was probably obvious I was simply going through the list of "Generally agreed upon/stereotypically labelled as shit tier on /a/" characters
just noticing it isn't obvious that by both I meant Ciel and Sakura not Kotomine and Sakura
It actually was justified in the context of that route.
>complaining deserved or not
If you knew Sakura's whole backstory + all the shit that happens to her through the route both physically and mentally I wouldn't even call it victimizing. I would call it "being human". Anyone would have a big reaction to being treated the way she was not just during her time with Shirou, but her whole life. She's not a Mary Sue perfect angel waifu, she will eventually snap. Although it did take her a while, so I guess she's pretty strong in that regard.
As an overall character Sakura is on par if not better than the other two heroines.
As for Kirei, he doesn't have the "Muahahahaha I am so evil and strong! You weaklings will bow before me!" kind of vibe. He's a lot more subtle. For his character it's more like "actions speak louder than words"
Well, I don't know for sure. I don't really go around asking people that either. It's just something I've sort of noticed from personal experience with fans outside of /a/. Which is in no way proof of anything, I realize. It also seems like a decent amount of artists on pixiv and drawr who draw one of them also draw the other a lot. Again, though, that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
And I think those are pretty good reasons to dislike Sakura. Even at her best, she's a pretty flawed character (that's something I rather enjoy about her, to be honest). As for Ciel, I want to like her, but I've never really liked how Nasu handled her characterization in Tsukihime. I think she could become a character I'm quite fond of if the remake improves on this, but for now I'm kind of on the fence.
There's a reason I said deserved or not, it's just something I dislike in a character and person, in one moment offhand perhaps, or a breaking confession sometimes, but it happened way to damn often with Sakura.
Victimizing isn't really dependent on if stuff's actually happened to you, yes I know shit has happened to her, some of my favorite characters have had all sorts of shit happen to them, the big difference is they usually play it off in one manner or another rather than tell people about it and use it as an excuse for their actions
I suppose that's one way to decide, after all if you don't like a character you're unlikely to spend however long it takes to draw them, I'll just call it a lot of time. Ciel I don't even know how her route was supposed to go to be honest, it all felt like it was pretty much Arc's route if Shiki also happened to like Ciel, but still liked Arc about as much.
Just reread HF a few weeks ago. Sakura's manner of dealing with all the shit actually did make sense, and she could have done more than what she did. If what you're saying is "I don't like the way she tells people about it" then that has nothing to do with how good/bad the character is and is about your perception of how she should have done it in the way you wanted it.
Imagine being a kid, crying and thrown into a wormpit. You get ravaged by worms, by men, tortured in every way. Then growing up, still having to deal with your evil grandfather and brother, having your sister steal the one person you love away from you. (too lazy to type the whole story) Honestly, everything Sakura did fit the situation.
Because she's flawed. She's human. She's going to get mad, she's going to get jealous. She's going to have conflicting feelings and all kinds of mental trauma to deal with. The fact that she's also doing a lot of things she didn't want to and constantly getting shitted on by everyone around her doesn't help the situation.
Rin and Shirou eventually realize this and that's why they tried to save Sakura. Because Sakura was pretty much put in that position against her will. The whole Angra Mainyu thing needs no explanation. Imagine having to deal with that. A few excuses or whatever is pretty much justified. End of discussion.
It's nice that you're putting this much thought into it and all, but I should probably let you know you're not exactly going to debate me into liking her
Just because I can understand her actions doesn't mean I have to like them. We can have a character go trough horrible things and then proceed to become a killer. I could understand why the character turned out like that, but that doesn't mean I approve of the character's actions, nor does it mean I must like the character.
Sakura is like that. Sure, she might be "realistic" but that doesn't justify her.
WHEN THE WIND IS SLOW AND THE FIRE'S HOT
Why don't you fuck off, anime only fag?
Ufotable are filled with more CGI staff than actual animators and Ufotable can't even animate 9 Lives right, so they already show they cut corners when actually showing off a Servant's NP.
is that Mordred or dark saber?
It really should be obvious but it's Mordred
I'm not familiar with anything in that particular fate novel, I just know that Mordred more or less looks like Saber
She has both different armor and a different sword than Saber Alter for one, so that should have been a tip off
again, unfamiliar, that's why I asked, because the armor looked different.
that scene and rins fight and the evil church song had me so hype
I stil don't get why shirou is the body of his sword whatever happened to avalon
>yfw she dies in a ridiculing, demeaning way.
Another good scene was when Rin actually managed to physically beat the shit out of a servant with her kung fu
That was good but for servant beating it had to be either Shirou surpassing Saber in Sparks Liner or Kirei more or less nailing Assassin to a tree
that's why she's the best girl
>shirou mind broken while the world goes to hell and saber watches and rin gets raped eternally
That was a nightmare fuel bad end
When in doubt, remember each Saber's color
Well perhaps when you put it that way, but the fight was certainly cool which is really all "Rin beating the shit out of Caster" was getting at
Fate / Zero the anime was probably better than the some of the source material, but I don't think it at all rises to the level of something like Kara no Kyoukai. It was very good, but
It was much more successful than the Fate Stay / Night (anime).
However, we don't even have a really good translation of Fate / Zero so it's hard to judge from the text presented whether or not the series pulls off / manages to convey some of the literary tricks or the setup of certain scenes. The translation reads really poorly, so either it's not well-written or it's been mistranslated.
that fight was like ten seconds before the real kungfu master kicked her cunt
which reminds me of how much a dead end that teacher was. We never found out his story.
He was very likely an assassin or a hitman before he became a teacher.
Nigger I wasn't even talking about that fight just mentioning that all I was talking about was Sparks Liner being cool, go quote>>100346312
Maybe I WILL
I SAID BACK THE FUCK OFF!!??
Since we know she is a really hard worker, it'll end up fine in the end. Even in HF Normal, guilt-ridden and melancholic as she was, she ends up teaching herself and becoming the newest Tohsaka head's, Rin's granddaughter's, master. I'd say she'll be okay, she's resilient.
Why didnt Archer try to kill Shirou in the other routes?
