What do you guys think about this?
It's pretty good. Didn't like the ending though
I really liked it, besides the last 2 minutes.
Ein is cute, and the second ED is god-tier. Also, people kept scars from every time they were shot. I love that shit.
I just wish the original VN's English version wasn't so terrible.
Made me do this at the end.
fucking bee train
I'd Cal's Cals.
It had some really nice threads back in the day.
Was the ending anime-original or something? Or was it just badly handled? I haven't heard much one way or the other about the VN, just that the anime's ending is shit. I've been meaning to check it out since I liked Saya no Uta and other urobuchi works.
Think it was one of the many game endings.
The anime's ending was awesome, imo.
It's just that it was a Bad Ending.
dropped it when it went into a school setting
So it sounds like I should just read the VN.
...Or maybe not?
The VN refuses to run on most players. It only really worked on one (powerdvd or something, I forget). Once you get it working, you have to deal with the dvd format it uses being terrible, even by VN standards, and the translation being shit. I loved the show, but couldn't make it through the VN. If you want the story, and those problems won't bother you, give it a try.
has a good waifu
Make sure to not skip the recap episodes if you watch the anime.
Thanks for the advice then, anons.
All I could think of
she drank allot of milk and ate her veggies
I loved the ending too. Zwei's lines about there being no real redemption for himactually mean something and he doesn't get to BS his way out of what he's done for a happily ever after.
It's not like they were setting up for a happy ending. The Japan arc already showed that they couldn't live a normal life anymore. The problem is that there's no setup for the ending. Everything points towards them accepting that Ein will never really recover her past, and trying to piece their lives back together. Inferno hunting them had been disastrous, so it would be reasonable to assume they'd just cut their losses at some point, since Ein and Zwei obviously weren't going to actively oppose them. Then, when the two best assassins in the world are finally starting to find some peace, Lelouch just appears in the middle of nowhere and kills one of them. If they'd so much as indicated beforehand that Inferno was still actively hunting them, or that Ein and Zwei had some reason for their ridiculous assassin instincts to decline, or that they were looking for death, I would have been fine with the ending.
I don't have a problem with downer endings, but I do have a problem with ones that just appear out of nowhere. It was just a clumsy attempt to add more tragedy to an already tragic story.
Was that the fucked up show with the sepia filter where you had no idea what's going on?
No. It's the one with assassins where pretty much everyone with a name dies.
Oh yes, I meant Boogiepop Phantom. One day I will finish it.
Cal was best girl. Should have adapted the Dusty Desert Trails ending. Other than that it was pretty much perfect.
