You wish you were as cool.

Protip; these units cost 10k to purchase- The single monocular versions are roughly the price she paid.

Shame on you, Kyoani for not knowing your NVGs.

Ironically, these units are barred from export out of the United States under ITAR. I.e. she just broke international trade regulations or the company she bought from did.
>>
What's so special about them that they cost so much and are prohibited trade items?
>>
she probably bought a replica.
>>
They're probably Chinese knockoffs.

>>100318969
Current gen NVGs are expensive and considered a matter of nation security because of their military applications. Older Russian ones are bulkier but also dirt cheap comparatively.
>>
>>100318969

A.) The company that produces these has no competition, and also, the government gets a heavily discounted rate, provided they buy a massive amount of the units.

B.) The technology in these was extremely sensitive at the time of it's introduction- China, Iran, and Russia probably have the equivalent. Hell, we probably sold them some under the table.

Ah, those are american military equipment. You can buy them everywhere outside the US.

If you are completely expendable cannon fodder, i.e. any named US military unit, you have a nerfed version anyways. National guard or navy seal, your job is to suck up bullets for e.g. SAS. The US learned from Vietnam and no longer bothers to train more than grunts, heck the Delta Force lost a competitive exercise against Sweden not many years ago.

Same intesifier, just a single monocular. Fucking sucks, but it's still an advantage over a towelhead. (too bad they have them as well)

And yes, that's true, you can get just about anything you want, provided you can afford it.

But can she defeat the power of quad-vision?

Also, it's probably a replica made for airsoft/cosplay

And hey, while /k/ is around, check out this guy's trigger discipline.

Every time a new season rolls around and I see a show with proper gun usage, I give them at least 2 extra episodes before I consider dropping.

Not as some arbitrary rule, but because I can't help but like a studio that knows how guns work.

It's that attention to detail. If they show they can do the little things like guns right then it shows that they put more effort and go a little further with their craft.

The white receiver stamp is actually another dead giveaway.
