So I went ahead and decided to give this a shot.
You know, aside from all the Yamakan bashing and what not, I for one was pleasantly surprised at, not only the show itself, but the characters as well.
I honestly think this might just work.
It was good.
Everyone who isn't a buttblasted IM@S fan found it passable. Definitely giving it a shot.
I hope it turns into something too.
Idol shows usually do characters well, and that one song they had can compete with the best of the competition.
Hopefully it isn't just the Movie that's good. But the movie was good.
The characters are great but Yamakan is making them do lewd stuff so early.
The show is a metaphor for Yamakan's existence.
And what if I hate idolshit in general and didn't find this any different from any other moe idolshit out there? Am I still a buttblasted IM@S fan?
For whatever strange reason I agree with the phillipino trip with the shitty taste.
WHY ARE NONE OF THEIR HAIRS HANGING DOWN
That is some intense case of sameface.
I wouldn't call it 'intense'
There's not a single anime out there that has a sameface issue this bad. The designs just plain out suck. Then again, you can't really complain considering that the animators can't even cope up with this shit as they are doing now since they are being slave driven, imagine if those designs were actually complicated and good just gonna leave this here as an example of what I'm talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqMCYf1FibU then the animators would most likely end up doing sudoku.
Well, to each is own I guess. I kinda like the character designs but I can see where your complaint is coming from.
No, you just don'l like "idol shows" hence you shouldn't be in this thread to begin with.
Because it a fucking Chinese cartoon.
Actually it's magic and all of the girls are truly magical!
I have the same problem with the series. I'm wiling to give it a shot but the character designs (or lack thereof) are putting me of.
>making them do lewd stuff so early.
I like the approach he's taking, faglouch. A taste of harsh reality sometimes comes off better than all the lovey dovey shit that other shows pass on.
Honestly, as good as having ideals and all that shit is, at the end of the day it's not with friendship and optimism that you can pull through when you're faced with bills to pay and you need to eat in order to stay alive after wasting your youth away.
It's a bold approach, but this is what I'm enjoying about it so far.
I feel that the character design is one of the strong points of the show I really like them. To each his own, I guess.
muh dick tells me what shows to watch......its telling me that this one is gonna be a winner
you do realize that the girls in that PV look much worse (moe uguu kawaii desu ne) than WUP ?
>There's not a single anime out there that has a sameface issue this bad.
other anime just don't have so many girls so it doesn't stand out so much
I love idomaster and I like this, step up, comrade.
Don't be so harsh. Don't forget we are here for escapism. Even if Yamakan-sama attempts some sort of "saving" on us, it's still an idol show.
At least I expect it to be for the most part.
It would be great to see the girls slammed down by the reals of the sho business but I doubt Yamakan has the guts and skills to take us there.
Your dick already won.
I feel sorry for you.
Me too. So far there is Zero incompatibility between the shown.
I believe it will change soon, though.
Miyuu best idol.
I never liked idolshit but i like this.
Does this mean I like idolshit?
Yamakan is going there. I hope Matsuda and the girls make the right decision.
There's no gravity in 2D
She is half-retarded and very adorable.
Haruka looks so much more believable in that scene.
But, at the same time, find the "flat", "poor" voice acting of WUG seiyuus strangely attractive and fitting.
>cookie-cutter character personalities
>deliberate stupid panty-shots
The only thing entertaining about this shit was the old asshole boss, and she's gone now.
>Don't forget we are here for escapism
Obviously, but more or so, I believe that it is important to have something that we also can relate too.
Having this said, I feel that the harsh reality aspects that the show portraits deliver this; even though none of us are actually idols trying to make it through the industry obviously.
The question here is not about saving or not saving, since most bullshit around that term doesn't even come into matter here.
The main point is to bring to notice something of more realistic value to the viewer, something that this can relate too in his daily life struggles, something that proves that life isn't all sunshine, willpower driven by friendship and flowers, something that at the end of the day might not even turn out for the best.
That's just how things are; even if we are here for escapism, it's important not to forget this.
I hate that girl with the mole on her face. I won't watch because of it. In the presence of such sameface, that mole is hilariously misplaced.
I don't know, you tell me.
If you are using the word "idolshit" seriously you are probably in for a ride.
Anyhow, try to enjoy the show with us, that's the whole point. Otherwise, just drop it.
What the fuck is this idolm@ster light?
Get this Miki-less shit out of here.
I'm with this guy.
I also love iM@S and I'm enjoying this show thus far.
Minami is best girl
You, I like you!
Try harder next time little troll.
2/10 for making me reply.
I have never worked in the Japanese entertainment industry (but I did work for a small talent agency, have done recording and live performance engineering and session musicianship), but this show is striking me as rather realistic.
I've met this Sado-san guy, I wanted to punch him so bad.
If anything, iM@S was a lot more lighter than this is.
At the end of the day, iM@S never really showed the girls going through such harsh struggles and all of their personalities felt somewhat unreal, with the exception of Chihaya.
WUG so far captures the reality of the business a lot better than iM@S did, in a much more depressive tone.
Now I'm not saying that one is better than the other, to each, each one's opinion; it's just, at the end of the day iM@S had a much more lighter tone and this currently has, and it's not the other way around.
I hope you know that isn't Miyu
>hating the best girl.
I'll say it, idolmaster is better than this shit and that's not debatable
Fuck off Verty
This is anime, moles only should be seen on christmas cake and ryomou shimei. everything else is disgusting and a mark of low talent
Its one episode in faggot.
I mostly agree.
Also I did put the word "saving" in quotes.
There I did it again.
The thing about life and anime is a complicated one as the medium is broad enough to encompass some really twisted stuff and it can not, as a whole, be easily accused for the lack of "reality".
However, "reality" in an idol show is a risky business as target audience already has a set of expectations.
We well see. I, for one will stick with the series...I'm intrigued.
The "flat" acting probably stems from the fact that none of the seiyuu are really actors. There are some, like Kaya or Chihaya-looking girl that have nice speaking voices, but I would not be surprised if this show ends up being the only show that these girls get their voices in.
I want to see how well she can take a big penis.
Normally I'm not an idolfag, but I want this show to do well. If I didn't know this was by Yamakan, I'd feel that even more.
Ok, you got me. Here, have some real Miyuu.
That's your opinion, man.
I like idolm@ster a lot as well, but I feel that this is passing off as a more realistic idol show.
One movie and a episode.
And so far I felt a more harsh reality tone on everything, including the characters, than I did on idolm@ster.
As good as the iM@S girls are, face it, most of them are completely unreal.
Aside from Chihaya, who had a massive build-up throughout several episodes for her story, iM@S did little to nothing to make the other girls "believable".
Now I say this even though I like all of them very much.
It's just, in a real world view, it doesn't happen, it just doesn't.
You get stuff like what this guy on >>100318585
Sado-san guy's and people stealing money left & right.
At the bottom line, it's all about the money.
These girls literally look like dogshit compared to the girls from other idol shows like AKB0048 and Idolmaster. Worth idol character design I am aware of.
That's what's realistic about it.
Go and watch some pictures of real life idols when they were starting their career and then now after a ton of face lifting, make-up and photo-shop.
You'll be surprised.
IM@S was never meant to be "real", it's meant to be entertaining and it was.
As for WUG... we don't really know yet but we'll find out soon enough...
If I wanted realism I wouldn't be sitting inside all day watching chinese cartoons
more best pics
I think they have a similar design to the anime art for idolmaster, with the bulbous heads and the facial features.
They aren't that bad I think they're pretty cute but they are rough around the edges.
it's at least something different from the generic moe uguu style
You can't use escapism forever.
>/thread-ing your own post
That style is the best style and it's the reason these girls are kawaii and the WUG girls are blegh
I completely and wholeheartedly agree.
But to be fair, we have to give some time to the girls to develop.
Minami completely won me over as far as first episode goes, hands down.
Fuck off already
I've already been through every other interesting thread all that's left is to shitpost
I know. ;_;
>these girls are kawaii
Can you please stop with the trolling. It's beyond obvious now that you do not wish to contribute anything of value to the thread.
iDOLM@STER is a good show, there is no need to compare the two.
WUG is trying to do something different than iM@S.
No, you should be more careful when making "samefag" accusations. You might offend someone.
ignore and report
At least now you are honest. Still, stop it please.
I agree with this guy.
There are some clear similarities on the designs.
Mole girl looks a lot like Haruka, the leader girl looks a lot like Chihaya, the spoiled brat kind of looks like Iori.
I don't get why people are calling the designs shit.
If anything I'd be pissed that they are similar to others.
>the spoiled brat kind of looks like Iori
What? Isn't Ramen-chan the Iori lookalike?
Not even close.
Miyuu warms my heart whenever she's on screen. Fucking idols, how do they work?
The whole concert scene came out pretty nice.
I for one hope they still have budget for the rest of the show..
Maybe because of the forehead. Personality wise it's definitely Nanami (the spoiled brat).
Cute girls singing and dancing bro.
It's not a foreign concept.
All those pantsu
I wasn't expecting to like the song. It's pretty alright.
Even in magazine promo art, the linework still looks like shit.
this is the best art I saw for this show
In mysterious ways /a/non.
I don't know man, I like it.
It would be great to have a second season of this show with much more budget.
Even the words actually make sense.
I was pleasantly surprised too.
>compared to the girls from other idol shows like AKB0048 and Idolmaster
MUH COLORFUL ANIMUS
Fuck off retard. This isn't that kind of show
I would be content if they have enough budget to make it through this season alone without any problems.
How are the pre-orders doing by the way, does anyone know?
The film is having a lot of success, even above kyoani.
The show is doing meh, around 200 and 300, but I'm sure it will go up after the second episode.
It's one of the most popular shows in nipland this season, if not the most. So I'm guessing it'll sell pretty well.
I'm also surprised how civil and nice this thread is.
I hope most of WUG threads will be decent discussions about the (aspects of the) show and not "wug fuq" and other shitposting crap.
>if not the most
It's doing better than expected, but that sounds kind of delusional.
>The film is having a lot of success
>It's one of the most popular shows in nipland this season
Is this for real?
That's pretty cool, man.
I don't honestly care if it's because of Yamakan. I'm just glad that a actual good show is being well received for once.
Hopefully the show will take a more realistic route, and we might have a little more to discuss.
The second volume is going to bomb like fuck. The first one is only hanging ~300 because of the extras it has with it.
As long as it isn't all doom and gloom, I'd be ok with that.
Well, i'd say right now is only behind Chuu2-Ren and Nisekoi in popularity. Sekai Seifuku is also really popular, and I'm loving it
I honestly have a question for the guy that posted on >>100318585 , if he's still around..
Having worked on a small talent agency, if you were in the producer's shoes and happened to have the problems as WUG is showing, how would you go about and fix them?
Would you close the agency, resort to taking Sado-san's path and whore up the girls, or is there any possible way out of the debt hole?
There was even a thread about this earlier. It's by far the most talked about show on 2ch with 18k something posts in the past month. Of course, that's not always indicative of popularity, but it's garnering a lot of attention for sure.
The threads have been pretty cool. There has been some 'wich wug wud u wug', but it has not degenerated into arguing.
Here is a blog post from the last thread, showing photos of locations in Sendai that have been used:
No it's not. Chuu2, Super Sonico, ImoCho are stomping all over it.
Let's be honest here. Wake up girls will be the best selling winter anime only behind chuuni and, maybe, Nisekoi.
Oh, and stop shitposting already.
Super Sonico and Imocho won't be up there the whole season. Chuu2 and Nisekoi will. And I'm pretty sure Wug too.
Screencapped just so I could laugh at your faces in the end of the season.
>WUG for Winter followed by LL for Spring.
It sure is great to be an idol fan right about now.
>>>100318585 (You) here.
I wouldn't whore them up at all. I'm really wondering about the ownership of the agency. Does Tenge own it? If not, who does? How is it still running?
I'd have more shows, even the sidewalk/back of grocery store shows. Steady gigging is great practice for a band, and it is more exposure. The more an audience is aware of the group, the more they might talk about it.
I'd probably push Shimada Mayu's name a bit more, and promote WUG as a 'new generation returning to old values'.
A fire-sale on the CDs might recoup part of their cost, but it would be very important to get a recording done that has Mayu singing with the group.
I'd be careful not to over-expose Mayu at the expense of the other girls, but it is a thin line to walk. Her history and past controversy is an instant boost to recognition, and I'd want to capitalize on that.
Sado's sponsorship could help a lot (but also destroy the image, turning into another MacDonalds not-AKB48). Perhaps there are other sponsors, like local businesses, who would put up money to rent concert venues in exchange for advertising.
If it works anything in Japan like it works here, Matsuda needs to spend way more time on the phone, making contacts and proposals.
That's pretty cool, man.
It's as if the entire city was captured there.
I take it it's being well received by the people from the city as well?
If you keep responding to sales faggotry, the trolls will keep coming back for more. Can we try not doing that?
Not him, but that could be a good discussion for the thread. Well, if I were in his shoes, first of all I would try to find all kind of alternatives to not to have to resort to whoring up the girls, because this way they could hurt their reputation too early in the game. Alternatives? They could volunteer and do some kind of social work, and meanwhile singing and dancing. I don't know. They are in Sendai, a devastated city, so they could "play" this role for a bit and gain the trust of its inhabitants (and popularity). Better than prostitute your idols for sure.
I would be very pleased if the guy in the CD/DVD shop is based on one of his real-life counterparts.
The noodle shop guy probably wouldn't be flattered, but the folks who run the bakery might.
>I'm really wondering about the ownership of the agency. Does Tenge own it? If not, who does?
I'm actually wondering about this as well.
My biggest fear is that she comes back into the picture once they start to succeed and the money starts rolling in.
Since she's the president and the one who has the ownership rights to the entire group, this will fuck up everything.
Also, on your suggestions, putting WUG as a new generation returning to old values would for sure cement the relationship with the city, I would go for that approach as well, in hope that with this, some better form of sponsorship could surge by.
Giving in to Sado-san's sponsorship is a huge risk; but in all honesty, faced with that or closing the agency, I don't really think that Matsuda has any options..
One thing keeps brothering me though, Matsuda used to be in a Heavy Metal band, knows someone out there who made it through in the scene and still has contact with him/her and was able to get the concert gig set-up thanks to the Metal scene as well.
I wonder why doesn't he try and use more contacts in this area to help the agency; he probably has them.
>If it works anything in Japan like it works here, Matsuda needs to spend way more time on the phone, making contacts and proposals.
Is this the reality of the job?
You just sit in the office and take it up the ass making calls over and over in hope that some of the contacts you make actually shows genuine interest in being a part of what you're promoting? All the time with the best disposition and happy tone in your voice?
>Matsuda needs to spend way more time on the phone, making contacts and proposals.
This. He really isn't cut for this job and it shows. He recruited one girl while Tange recruited five. As soon as she left, he was still reluctant to assume responsibility for the group despite being the only adult (unless you count Kaya, but let's be real, 18 is no adult), and as soon as Sado showed up he jumped at the chance of being told what to do again instead of having to make decisions.
That said, this makes him a pretty interesting character with lots of room for development, which I hope happens at a steady pace.
>He really isn't cut for this job and it shows
How the hell does someone from a Metal band ends up ditching music and becomes a salary-man.
Japan is fucking bullshit. No wonder it has such a high suicide rate.
He has to be the one to put his foot down and say "stop sexualizing my girls."
The girls and the manager could end up helping each other. That could be a really good development and we could get to know the characters under a new light. The manager growing as a business man and the girls as artists, supporting each other under lots of pressure.
>The manager growing as a business man and the girls as artists, supporting each other under lots of pressure.
I thought about this as well..
But then it hit me, does this really happen in real life? Is this even possible?
I hate to say it, man... but I don't think it's going to happen.
This is an anime.
I don't think that being 100% realistic will bring it sales, and I think that Yamakan knows that.
The manager looks like a bro. He used to be a metalhead and a musician, so he knows what's up. I trust him. He won't sell the girls out and they will help him overcome all the pressure from contacts, money lenders and shit.
>Kaya says it's fine to show a little fanservice.
>She holds her skirt to prevent flashing.
>So does Airi.
>Yamakan knows that.
You're talking about the guy that tweeted after the earthquake about how Madoka Magica's final episodes should not be post-phoned and that it was at those very times that "we" need to be reminded of the harsh reality "we" live in.
I think the guy's on a mission or something.. so I wouldn't be surprised if the show ends up with a not-so-happy ending.
Aside from this though, it seems like the Japanese are taking well the reality aspects of the show, so.. maybe it can work after all?
That's exactly what I'm hoping for. For all the realism people keep talking about, this is still an idol show promoting a real idol group. I'm expecting so see some typically hamfisted criticism of the corporate exploitation of young girls that is the idol market, yes, and I also expect some down to earth, relatable drama involving the main characters, but at the end of the day the show will be about coming together and overcoming such challenges as a group and growing as individuals. And moe, of course.
Will we able to see another pantsu-fest, or was just a present yamakan gave to us for only one episode?
It depends on the course of how the show will go.
I personally think that the girls will have to work on some pretty shitty gigs before getting the entire act up together, so.. it's a huge possibility.
>you will never see Airi's pantsu
This isn't fair!
Who's panties did we actually see? Everyone was moving around and I couldn't really tell.
Everyone's panties except for Kaya's and Airi's. I already had my share of Minami's pants, so I don't care too much.
Fuck it! I want to see Kaya's pantsu!
But which panties belong to who?
This is a useful chart to unveil all these mysteries.
It's at times like these that I truly love you, /a/.
>No one gives a shit about Airi
Don't make me get out of this chair, nigga.
Do small Idol groups like WUG actually exist in Japan?
There are a shitton of idol agencies. But like everything in the gender, it's completely saturated and most groups like WUG end up disbanding, sorry, graduating before they even lift off.
Do you mean town based, not so popular idols? Of course they exist.
Remove Yoshino, add Kaya and we have a deal.
It is the age of warring idols after all.
Skirts are too long
>tfw cant tell who is who because of all the same face
The girls are pure in this show.
Yes, even Mayu.
captcha: asingq underskirt
Fucking google, man.
Why the panty shots? They added nothing.
>Wake up, Girls!
Is it bad that I can't see the title without thinking of a song from The Wiggles?
How exactly is this >>100319759 , same-face?
Are you blind?
They added a taste of reality.
>I'm dead inside.
YAMAKAN SAVES ANIME
can't see the kanji properly to try translating some parts...
Show's not bad but it'd be better without the creepy panty shots.
wake up moeblobs
also it costs nothing to show your panties
What are show off panties?
Has to be something generic as to not give away extra attention to a certain girl or insight of her private life/tastes.
>extremely rapeable but pls no)
Too late for that.
Can anyone rip these from the game too?
4chan reference? Yamakan confirmed for bro
There was a lot of shitposting going on in that board.
I wonder why it felt so familiar..
So, black shorts then?
That's pretty bland..
In a interview 5 days ago, he admitted he browsed boards from overseas. He did not say 4chan, but it was fairly obvious.
You've got to be shitting me..
Does he even know English?
He sometimes retweets shit in English, so I suppose he can, at least, read in it.
One must wonder how he reacts to all the "Yamakan saving anime" shit.
>Does he even know English?
Why is this a surprise?
So he has seen the banner with his picture in the fucking board, right?
I wonder what he thought about that..
He masturbates, or a at least I'll do that.
>cant read english
Nips are fairly competent in written and reading english. They suck at speech.
Japs can't into English.
refer to >>100327113
>The director of our aidoru anime masturbates to himself on our board on a regular basis
I like this.
The combination of the movie and first episode so far is a really good start. I think Yamakan might really save anime this time. Or at least his studio anyway.
>mfw he only browses /a/ to fap to im@s characters in the im@s thread
Except those that learn it, twat.
That kind of would explain why Airi looks so much like Haruka.
They learn it just to pass their exams, and then forget all about it after that. Those that do remember, can generally get the gist from reading, but are wholly unable to speak nor reproduce it in a readable manner.
but how do you know he wasn't referring to leddit?
Yeah, because that applies to every single one of them. Moron.
Because leddit doesn't even know what idols are.
At least I don't think they do.
They probably do but they simply label it as "creepy" and put it in the creepy section among other creepy things that are not the norm.
leader is best wug
Who are these two supposed to be?
I don't know what's worst. Reddit fags who use 4chan as a secondary board or 4channers who don't know how reddit really is but hate it because they're supposed to.
Every Idol Show must have Idol Drama.
Reddits UI is horrible though, at least allow some of us to hate Reddit for that
Miyu and... Mayu I think.
I usually hate idol related shows but I really like WUG.
Here's hoping some of you will grow to notice the miracle that is real idols.
I know the kind of people who go there. Don't need more info than that.
Aye, tis indeed them.
>Protip: Look at dat wug hair
Do their measurements match their 3D selves
Mayu has such a nice smile.
I can't for Sudo-san's sexual assaults.
Unless you have some technical skills, yes this is the reality of work.
I want Miyu to meet Nico and Hanayo so they can obsess over Idols while Nico feels inadequate next to two big-bosomed ladies.
Is anyone even playing the game?
I can't find any gameplay footage on the net.
I've tried it. It's heavy on animations and stuff.
When I volunteered to help out a Film Festival, that was pretty much what I did.
Try to find a bunch of entertainment-related businesses and hope they would be interested in promoting the local film festival.
What is it like compared to School Idol Festival?
Is it a rhythm game?
How exactly would technical skills help in this?
Isn't it all about connections and free lunches?
It's more like Cinderella Girls. A bit more restrictive on the heart points to roll normals though.
How many times have you watched the performance, /a/? I'm nearing my 30th time now.
The other day I had it repeating for an hour.
Mostly just for the song though.
I've been doing the same, but you don't have to go through the trouble, for an entrepreneuring youtube user upped the full song without encorebro's voice!
MY ONLY ONE
Cynical side is best side
>without encorebro's voice!
You say that like it's supposed to be a good thing
Well, it is when I want to get my moe on.
me too wtf
Well at least they're not oblivious sheep like some other idols.
Yoshino meets Umi and Chihaya (and Aoi, Rinne and Chieri)
They all sit around and grumble to themselves.
>Here's hoping some of you will grow to notice the miracle that is real idols.
A bit late. But IM@S and WUG fan encoru encoru tier.
Time to waste money on those mobages.
Not really. Just gonna download them all for free online.
I'll try and rip the assets as I play.
So, how does one access this mobile wug game?
probably close to impossible unless you were one of us who managed to sign up and get verified with DeNA back when they allowed overseas access.
I have an old mobage account that is linked to a real Japanese simcard.
Went through a lot of hoops to play mobamas and I'm not sure how restrictive they are to foreigners right now. As accounts that don't have a Japanese phone number associated with were pretty gimped when playing the game.
Well fuck. It's like they don't want our greasy gaijin money. =\
Well, at least I still haveKanColle
"Even though you've been raised as a human being, you are not one of them. They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason, above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son.
And if you want to do something to inspire these people, do anything but make an Idol anime."
I honestly think that this idol anime is working out pretty good for his rep.
found you fuckers

Mobage a shit.
I wish they'd host more games on GREE. It accepts non-japanese phone numbers and my filthy gajin money (paypal)
So do we all agree that Kaya-chan is the best and cutest idol?
The best, yes. But the cutest is either Minami or Airi.
Too old with cowtits. No way.
>Age of Warring Idols

Guy, what if tournament arc and they're from a new idol group?

1. 12 or 13 episodes.
Tournament Arc better be WUG competing in Love Live.

All of them, but Miyuu the most
The most hard-working and cutest of course.
Oh sweet, thanks anon.
This guy knows whats up.
All of them, but Nanami a little bit less.
I guess no one uploaded the dance on YT yet.
I thought like that until I saw her leg stretch....
They did, but it was taken down.
This is a lot better than any of the songs in Love Live.
So Tenge comes back in the third episode? That's a lot earlier than I expected. And it seems like there's not much drama regarding her abscondence, since she's already got a job for WUG.
What the fuck. I fucking hated that bitch.
I'm glad that it didn't become another Miss Monochrome in that regard.
>muh 19.3 billion
That's great and all, but did Yamakan get a new team figured out yet?
Well, that's good news. No force drama regarding the old hack.
I'm actually worried they might not get episode 2 or 3 out on time without sacrificing quality. It's a bit sad, actually.
She's the kind of girl you'd want to marry and have children with. The others are cute, but Kaya's already a real woman.
>miyuu doesn't exist and you will never meet anyone like her
Aren't all the idols modelled after their VA's?
Another example of show-off panties are like these from AKB48 (some variety show). They're basically frilly short shorts that idols wear under their skirts. They're panties allowed to be shown off, hence the name.
Their looks are. I'm curious as to if their personalities were written to fit the real life counterparts.
That's not a 4chan reference. It's a 2ch reference.
>implying that an accurate 2D counterpart of someone 3D is the same as that someone
these are called bloomers
Yeah, bloomers whatever. My English is lacking. Basically idols don't wear everdaywear panties under their skirts, is what I'm saying.
>some variety show
I think it was from a 24 hour TV charity special where all Japanese celebs participate.
>mfw just finish watching the movie
I wasn't expecting much from an idol show but that was pretty good.
I liked the debut song and the ending was pretty heartwarming.
What do you think of the president?
I think she just left for tension for the group to rise up to. Knowing fully well that when she returns, she returns with the money to save the day whether the girls achieved something or not. It was a gamble, but it payed off.
I certainly hope that's the case, or else it'll be a pretty dicky move.
Personally I think she just needed cash for one of those terminally ill relative cliche.
First pure idol anime I liked, I'm hyped (AKB0048 was idol/mecha hybrid).
Anyone of them, except Nanashit.
So, what was the reason the president asked if they're still virgins or not?
Do you even know what idols are?
> - sings in public
How could you like this but not iM@S?
I looked through the archive and got an answer.
You seem to be too afraid to just reply, "what"
I would have gladly told you about it. Damn.
I-I'm sorry, I wouldn't mind listening to your explanation as well, go ahead.
Quit fucking faux spoilering you faggot fuck
Seriously what the fuck, at least throw it somewhere where they can't see.
I hope you faggots don't throw pamphlets infront of the person giving it to you as well, that shit is heart breaking.
Idols are supposed to be an ideal to be strived for.
Something you can never reach and is a culmination of excellence in specific properties.
In this case, great dancers, singers with great looks and attitude to boot.
If they are not virgins, that means someone attained them. Thus they are not idols anymore.
But I wouldn't if it was a little girl like that.
That sounds logical, which explains the bald idol incident some time ago as well. So being an idol is like deliberately having your freedom robbed away in exchange for fame? How horrible.
He used a garbage bin like a responsible person instead of just throwing it on the ground.
Like I said before, idol is just a buzzword to identify any non-hag celebrity who also has some sort of personal charisma. The term, therefore, is used also for AV idols, gravure idols and variety show idols.
Don't look too much into the semantics because most of the wasei eigo used by Japs has no deep meaning and sometimes is even used improperly.
He could just return it to her, you know.
Let me put it this way.
It's a job. You also willingly put away some of your time and freedom to be a plumber to fix a pipe.
For them they dance and sing and act and socialize as well as be celibate in exchange for loads of money.
Now, after they graduate from being an idol, they are free to do what ever they wish. They can even get boyfriends or get married by this point.
And seeing that many idols retire by 30 something. It's not all bad.
Even more so when you look at the average marriage age of women in japan.
Kill yourself. Its brazzilian deviant art level shit. Wug designs are realistic and girls are really easy to recognize, all with fleshed out characters. In fact, Yamakan specifically demanded designs not to be to flashy so that people would focus on personality, not appearance (or hair color). And it works.
You have never experienced how annoying it is to receive useless ass flyers constantly in your daily life, have you?
I do, but I just reject them and say "no thanks".
yamakan looking over the goods
*41位/*40位 ★ (**1,068 pt) [*,*20予約] 14/02/28 劇場版「Wake Up Girls! 七人のアイドル」 初回限定版[Blu-ray+CD]
Movie BD is doing good. Box Office however really meh, only 10 million yen in 4 days. Than again, it was shown only in laughtable number of theatres, and calculating the ticket costs most screengs sold well. It not a proper movie to compete with others, but basicaly episode 0 promotion screening.
TV still at somewhat decent position, but obviously people wait for episode 2, most buy the movie instead. The TV BD 1 is more like vol 2 in this case.
***,336位/***,296位 ★ (***,169 pt) [*,**5予約] 2014/03/28 Wake Up Girls! 1 初回生産限定版 [Blu-ray]
Both 2ch and 2chan.
Why is she wearing a school uniform if she is 18 and not even in school?
Noodle shop is in on WUG. They are offering Kaya style ramen.
So are lot of other locations in Sendai showing WUG advertisement and selling merchandise.
>My biggest fear is that she comes back into the picture once they start to succeed and the money starts rolling in.
We know she comes back in episode 3 and they continue working normally with her. It seems she indeed had reasons to disappear, though it still was not a pleasant move.
>Is this the reality of the job?
No, Matsuda is runing boy. The actual things were done by Director, which had a lot of contacts in industry. Its mafia like thing - you know a person that knows a person that owes to a person that owes you that knows a person that you can blackmail a person that that person once slept with that knows a person that you assisted in politics that...
Nah, thats Kaya`s role. Officially too - she is responsible for controlling girls "sex appeal"
It's probably her old uniform.
bay|NDK|Yamakan> And the one path that anime has been avoiding is to look at reality face on
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> For example, in the live action genre, this genre has been bold in confronting reality. There have been plenty of movies about vietman and i'm sure there will be lots of about 9/11
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> And for japanese live action, there was a lot of live action movies about (missed)
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> And you can say that anime may have been avoiding confrontation with reality, but for something that's supposed to be representative of popculuture, it's lacking
18:19:00 <bay|NDK|Yamakan> And this would be a long story to tell, but if you look at the history of japanese animtion, it's not that long, it's a relatively young genre, and if you look at the oldest one.. but it only goes back to 100 years ago(missed?), and the first feature length is the legend of the white snake which was made 50 years ago
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> so you can say the history of japanes animation goes back 50 years
ay|NDK|Yamakan> And the history of japanese animation only started after the war in the pacific, after it was after, and it's post dated after the zenkyoto student movement, sothe japanese animation hasn't been in existsence with a large social movement, it's always been a peaceful existence.
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> So as a result. It's been nuturing an enviroment where it's been free to be diverse (para)
<bay|NDK|Yamakan> But just as all other forms of art, such as music have done, confronting reality, i think it's time for the genre for japanese animation has come to a turning point, and i think it has to do that, i think just as it was coming to that point to maturity, the great earthquake happened this year.
It'd only be realistic if they actually make the girls look pretty later on, which I doubt.
I wish to be the little WUG.
Now you can too.
Actuall its based on
i want to give her the dick
>8:36:43 <bay|NDK|Yamakan> but recently, i've started to use the internet to gain fan reaction overseas, and i've come to see that the reactions that japanese fans show and overseas fans show tend to be similar
That said, its 2chan there. (not 2ch since different color scheme). Also shows that he actually hates 2chan`ers (Black chan)
But I want to wear a cute seifuku instead.
Which school do you want to represent?
Another best WUG
I'm torn between Mayu and Airi's tried and true design, against Nanami's cute tie and skirt.
dat random-ass merchandise. The promotion for this show is truly bizarre.
Where's the 6 minute video some anon last threads talking about?
Did the video got taken down?
I was looking for it.
>how could you like Sora no Woto but not K-ON?!
[Horrible] was indeed HORRIBLE !!!
the color banding is just PURE bonkers in episode 1
Can anyone recommend me which group I should download from so I can enjoy WuG videophile quality?
Idol whoring shit.
Dropped in 5 minutes.
Hell, Wug realy seems ot have big marketing/merchandize campaign.
Those are just the workout clothes that the 3DPD idols wear on their Niconico broadcast. It also tells the customers not to touch that shit.
yup taken down. I wonder what this scene would be part of? BD special?
I missed it since im late to the concert
I'm pretty sure putting a couple jerseys on exhibit inside an anime store costs nothing.
>big marketing/merchandize campaign.
Could be one of the reasons why (word on the streets is that...) this franchise has problems with budgeting future episodes... the mostly blew it all on said above!r
Def should be more like Coppelion.
>problems with budgeting
It's a staff problem, not a budget one.
Watched Episode 1 just now and deleted it off my hard drive. The story is alright I guess, but at times there's absolutely no animation. The fast food delivery scene was just bad. Hopefully the staffing problem will be resolved ASAP. I have to say though the new VAs are doing a great job.
There is no problems with budgeting. There is problem with schedule, since they tried to finish movie and first ep at once. Same as SnK. Money is not a problem.
For millionth time - watch movie first.
And yeah, ep 1 was pretty meh since they could not finish it at time properly.
>All those wugs
So I had this dream about Yamakan right after watching the WUG Movie. I think it's an omen that he will save us.
I was in a Special Taskforce led by Captain Yamakan given a mission to clear out an area of Xenomorphs.
Our squad made landfall on a planet and proceeded to exterminate the Xenomorphs with extreme prejudice. But there was just too many of them.
As the Xenomorphs continued to attack, half our squad was killed and the rest sustained severe injuries.
Our taskforce was steadily forced back until we reached a hangar. We barricaded the door and prepared for the worst. As the Aliens screeched and banged the door, we said our prayers as we loaded our rifles for one final stand.
Captain Yamakan looked us in the eye and told us 'Take all the injured men and retreat back to the landing zone. I will handle the Aliens'
Realising what he planned to do, I looked at him and begged him to reconsider 'But sir, there are too many of them! You'll die if you face them alone! We can't leave without you'
But Yamakan stood his ground, against both me and the impending Alien swarm "It doesn't matter. Just go!"
Understanding that Yamakan would not leave with us, I ordered our men to take all the injured and retreat back to the spaceship.
As the last to board, I looked back at Captain Yamakan for one last time. Dual-wielding two rifles he fired at the aliens like a man possessed. Not caring for his own welfare but only for that of his men.
I turned away and ran onto the ship. With the precious minutes our Captain had brought us, we escaped the planet into the darkness of space as Captain Yamakan went down fending off a swarm of Aliens.
who did you download it from?
horriblesubs had shitty color banding
I did watch the movie first. I loved it. Which is why this first episode made me sad.
I downloaded Leopard Raws because I know moon. No problems.
Have we cracked whether this is a boy or a girl yet?
Well fuck you anon, now you've made me sad.
What a dream
That was an incredible tale anon. I wish I could have dreams in which Yamakan would save me.
In the end, success of the Idol show no matter the approach still depends on the music. We heard to little of WUG so far to judge - the first song is decent, but not outstanding.
So far Love Live leads far ahead of other idol shows in this aspect. Lets see if WUG will have resources to catch up.
Tachiagare's better than Wonder Zone at least.
I liked Wonder Zone.
And I think Bokura wa Ima and Bokura no Live are better then Tachiagare.
The Mayu song deserves a full version at least.
Being saddled with Yamakan sealed its fate. Lets hope this doesn't (further) negatively impact Sendai.
The only reason Fractale failed was Sendai Earthquake.
The only thing that can stop Yamakans advance is another act of divine fury.
I didn't watch Love Live but seeing how much /a/ hypes it I bet it's just boring shit.
Its K-On! but with music. And actually decent one.
Also, its WUG thread.
I don't think WUG targets exactly the same kind of people as LL or IM@S.
I think you can find something you'll like in it even if you don't usually watch other idols shows.
Looking forward to Goro.
>don't even like idolshit
>Yamakan directing WUG
>decided to watch it for shit and giggles
>"oh boy this is going to be shit"
>that debut song
>all those panty shots
Well, that wasn't so bad.
The hate Yamakan gets has nothing to do with his skill as a director so I don't see why his involvement would mean the show itself is shit.
I don't understand, shouldn't they be wanting their content to be plastered over everything it can be?
I hated Love Live but am liking WUG.
Based Yamakan will even save your dreams.
I dropped IM@S halfway since it was boring.
I loved Love Live.
I hated AKB.
I love WUG.
There is really no rule.
IM@S got better in the secong half - consider finishing it.
Love Live was ok.
AKB was shit.
WUG is excellent so far.
There is a rule you see - great minds think alike.
Wow, this thread went places.
Well, I'm glad to see that.
New ep eta 22h 49m!
Hiro Shimono as encore bro was great.
I never saw IM@S but I should give it a try.
Dropped Love Live two or three episodes in, the characters were dull except for a couple of secondaries and the CG was ugly.
AKB was fun and I really liked some of the songs. CG was terrible though.
And I'm also loving WUG.
So I think there's really no rule.
idolfapfags will lap up anything thrown their way, no surprise here
I hope all the seiyuu get married before the show is over
>HanaKana as Anna
Wait what, who?
That's a legal impossibility.
You didn't notice? She doesn't do many characters with that voice. She's pink.
From the movie, she was in for at least a minute or two IIRC because my ears immediately had an orgasm.
Oh fuck, I feel ashamed now for not catching that.
She was doing a deeper voice than normal, it took me a few seconds to notice.
I noticed immediately. I fucking love her voice.
We all do anon.
Who's still virgin? It's very important for me.
Everyone. Director made sure to check their hymen during audition. Did you not watch the movie?
Almost everyone wasn't probably a virgin, so...
Everyone but the slut maid.
Cool meme bro.
Slut sympathizer pls.
Idols can't be sluts or they'd lose their magic idol powers.
Miyuu a best idol.
Apparently only 3 episodes are made still, and even that not sure..
His latest tweet was "God damnit!" without referring what he means. Guess we`ll learn soon enougth.
Please don't tell me that new episodes will stop coming in the future ;_;
The one time he makes something remotely successful
If only they'd been a little smarter and tried airing just the movie now and the show next season.
The controversy and delays and QUALITY will just make it more popular. The show has the potential to break 20k BDs if the story ends up being decent just because of all the publicity it's getting from the drama.
I'm not sure you think that will happen
Seriously i'm even surprised it's episode 3 not 2
I need to use this image.
Damn, don't cancel muh idol show now Yamakan, you already got me into it.
The dream was too big, bad end for Yamakan.
But that's /v/ shit tier...
>Recap episode after 3 to gain time
I don't think Yamakan is very inclined to begging filthy gaijins for money.
Kickstarter has already helped save anime once. It can do it again.
Wait, there's people fall in shitposting news like this?
The tweet "God damn!" from Yamakan is the only real thing i've seen so far.
Jesus christ if yamakan actual have serious issue he will find his alliance to help
Or just go find A-1 pictures
And the fact that earlier he was asking the public to come to the studio to help animate the show?
That's pretty fucking desperate.
Ah, i just saw that one. Yep, quite sad.
>the seiyuus are going to debut in the porn industry this year because Yamakan couldn't save them with this anime
It's not really rare
This time mostly because Tatsunoko sucks even Tatsunoko won't admit that
It's like WUG! really happening. Realistic as fuck.
He's not coming to the "public" he's asking animators who are available to work/help out on it. The director for Shingeki no Kyojin did the same thing.
Oh i forget to say, remember Gatchmen crowds?Tatsunoko fucked up this even it's their own anime, not surprise they keep fucked up for others
Wait, so Tatsunoko is involving in the production of WuG?
Well that explains a lot of things.
>Yamakan finally saving anime
Fucking faggots. They could make a break one week or recap episode as some anon said.
Didn't they do that with GirlzUndPanzers?
They probably don't have money. Such is life as animator in Japan.
It was Tatsunoko animator tweeting, and he did not really state he quits.
On other hand, after calling for help, Yamakan specified he calls people to Ordet, not Tatsunoko
Tatsunoko basically in charge of WUG,even animators get the money from ordet
Wow, this thread is still alive.
Respectful bump with best girl.
Hacking right into my heart.
Where are you guys getting this much art like this >>100375728
And yes she's the best indeed my nigga
It's all in the archives already.
Many were posted in just that one thread.
here you go anon
Kinda reminds me of kyary pamyu pamyu.
Thank you kind sir. They are all beautiful indeed!
jesus chris that's a lot
No wonder their animators are exhausted
What was the image limit?
This thread deserved to bump limit.
Actually they are missing quite a few frames but still... it looks decent animation wise. Character designs are, on the other hand, glorious.
Long life, health and prosperity.
Two more and I'm done.
Holy fuck nearly all the girls are perfect, like seriously.
Don't fuck this up Yamakan this shit is glorious
Have a good night /a/.
10 posts to bump limit... ugh, my ocd is vibrating!
All girls are best girl.
Yamakan has a great responsibility!
God, are these new girls the I-1 girls (or what was their name)?
It could be THE trainwreck of this season
Production issues.... they just finish ep 3[cititation needed]
Wait, wasn't image limit 150?
Not for Yamakan idols it seems.
This could be THE trainwreck of this season.
Production issues... they just finished ep 3.
Image limit is 250 iirc
Yamakan will find a way.
We must believe!
Wow, that's a lot!
Well, a bump limit is fine too.
new ep eta 17h 9m
One last bump for the audience!
>new ep eta 17h 9m
Shit, I'm excited
..Yamakan's staff probably aren't.
God help them.
this was real, they are probably still finishing the ep.3
a1 has their own idol anime, im@s
DEM IDOL boobs
