So /a/, are you expecting Kill la Kill to end with galaxy sized Godrobes throwing big bangs at each other?
Will Trigger try to top TTGL ending in sheer ridiculousness?
Nope. Anyone who thinks that is a fucking moron who can't comprehend the tone of the show and just focus on "muh hotblooded robot show!" and think that just because a show shares it's staff with another that it's going to be exactly the same.
Probably the same dumb /v/cunts who thought mako would die on episode 8
B-But they said that it would top Gurren Laggan.
Powerlevels are growing at an insane rate though.
TTGL ended when Kamina died
it doesn't need to have higher power levels to do that
Ryuuko's power level just fell.
It ended when Simon beat the AntiSpirals in a fist fight.
This is why they offed Senketsu. They want to focus more on Ryuko's character development (and she's the character that needs it the most.
"I want to know" is about Satsuki. Calling it now.
But Gurren Laggan was actually good, and this is beyond average.
not bait, 100% trufax
kamina was the only reason to watch that show
well... that and the girl whose name i cant even remember right now because she wasnt kamina
The lyrics are obviously from Isshin's point of view, but it's definitely going to play when someone dies/Ryuko finds out what her father was trying to tell her.
I'm expecting it to go something like that while hoping it doesn't. Nakashima has said he doesn't want seem like he can only make TTGLs, so I'm holding onto that.
And it has, so far.
They're even. Just apply your tastes and preferences.
Is it too much to hope for restraint and a subtle ending not with ridiculous powerlevels? Probably.
I'm guessing they'll go metaphysical like higher dimensions and shit like that. Would make sense too.
