Well, what are you reading tonight /a/?

i personally enjoy unzipping files more than reading manga. sometimes i download manga just to unzip it
>>
>>100275122
Unzip this!
*zips up dick*
>>
>>100275122

How about you unzip my pants.
>>
Some of the Jojo parts I downloaded were like that, took a little while to organize Part 3 onwards, Part 1 and 2 were organized totally fine though.
>>
Eyeshield 21 is terrible in this regard. Doesn't help that a ton of different groups did different parts.
>>
Mangatraders isn't that bad, but damn if the unorganized filenames and those FUCKING user identifiers at the beginning of every file don't make it hard to find the next chapter.
>>
>>100277371
Mangatraders is only good for repacking volumes. I wrote a batch script to just remove the starting number and it works pretty well.
>>
>>100277452
>I wrote a batch script to just remove the starting number and it works pretty well.
You'd still have to deal with the title formatting/translations not matching up, but that's at least one hurdle taken care of.
>>

>>
>>100277534
I don't generally find that many problems. If I did, I'd probably just write another script.
>>
My manga pet peeves:
>large gaps between translations
>there'd be chapters 1-37 available, then skips right ahead to 67 onwards, with 38-66 nowhere to be found

>Japanese-to-Chinese-to-English translations

>Japanese-to-Tagalog-to-English translations

>kanji mistranlations
>rarely happens, but when it does, it completely throws you off
>one group might translate a character's name a certain way, then another group might translate it a completely different way
>or the same group realizes they fucked up, and embed a giant TL-note explaining their errors and a lengthy apology

>words with appropriate English equivalents not being translated
>eg. "Hougu" is left as-is instead of translating it to "Noble Phantasm"

Reading manga is suffering.
>>
I delete the group scanlation group's chapter, donation, recruitment, and credit page if It doesn't include part of the source tank's cover.
this is why I like utopia.
>>
>>100278995
宝具 as Noble Phantasm is really a Nasu-only thing.

The established translation is Treasure Tool in Shakugan no Shana, for example.

http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/宝具
Weblio has it as "noble weapon".

I'm not even entirely sure where the "noble phantasm" thing came from or how it became standard in Nasu-context.

I was going to catch up on SnO earlier but exactly what you just described happened and now I feel annoyed again thinking about it.

Holy fuck, this
>>
>>100278995
>five pages of fancolors and deviantart-tier redraws after each chapter
catching up on bleach was suffering
>>
>>100275058
I re-read the three chapters of Boku Girl that are out. I need more, dammit.

Just spent the entire day at my dad's place trying to fix his shitty house phone and got nowhere. Then as I was eating dinner I ate something crunchy then saw I had several ants on my plate. They'd fallen out of the ceiling.

Not my blog, but goddamn, I need something fun to read to fix the amount of butthurt I'm going through.

Gray, or, even worse, pastel, text used for anything in the manga itself.

Rozen Maiden. Holy shit it's ending next week and I can't wait.

it's been fun so far

Well yesterday I marathoned Akame ga Kill! and just a minute ago I read all the current chapters of Spirit Circle
>>
>>100280241
Thanks man, appreciate it.

Still better than watching the anime though.

I want to slap whoever did that to her.

God, Eyeshield 21

It's a football manga, I mean I don't hate football, but I don't really have an interest in it. But I ADORE ES21. I could re-read is happily well until the world tourney arc, then it kind of falls off in interest I mean right now just thinking about it I wanna read it again

WHY IS IT SO GREAT

>>100280391
Why, he's not getting hurt, he's just surprised

Then he gets cookies, then hes happy.

God, I remember reading Ichinensei (or anything "translated" by Taruby by that matter) was such a cringeworthy experience.

If you use Batoto, Mangastream.to, or StarKana it seems like they usually use the exact same images you'd get from MangaTraders/BBT/whatever. Also usually at least one of those will be complete and without some retarded duplication or misordering when viewed on my tablet from Manga Watcher, lately I only even bother to download shit when one of those 3 sources is inadequate for some reason, which isn't all that particularly often, otherwise reading online has the major convenience of having new stuff automatically added/notified which is nice, and just makes it simpler to add a new series in general.
