when is there gonna be another train wreck of Guilty Crown proportions? I miss loving to hate it with /a/.
You must have missed Master of Martial Hearts
I think I did, fortunately.
>nobunaga the fool
Did you not watch Valvrave?
I'm so happy I watched that stream yesterday. The entire show is a 10/10 trainwreck.
Valvrave kind of fits the bill.
I hope someone else streams it on a weekend, yesterday's stream was at such a terrible time.
backlog, i know it was bad but I didn't think it was quite as universally despised
Except it is trash and doesn't even have the entertainment value of other shows.
It's bad, but not universally despised. It's a fun watch.
It's called "Sword Art Online".
>capcha: mprgedc correct
its no fun if the threads are full of kids who think the show is actually good
I don't understand why people look forward to a show being a trainwreck
Actually, I understand it, but I don't understand why they want it constantly. Wouldn't it be better to get something that turned out good?
so they are animating the second part, so this includes famale kirito and shit.
prepare to cry.
occasionally there are trainwrecks so bad, they come back around to being exquisite, or at least the threads on /a/ are
Trainwrecks bring us together.
Watching guilty crown on my own would have sucked. But the threads on /a/ were so much fun. I have a folder of 300+ guilty crown images and I didn't even save half of them.
No I get that, because Guilty Crown was great to watch with /a/. I'm just saying it's like every season people want the next new thing to be a trainwreck
because everyone has different likes, and we fight about them, but when all of /a/ hates something, magic happens
I usually don't go that far, but another guilty crown trainwreck in general would be kind of nice.
I feel like /a/ hasn't been as fun for a while, that was a great year for anime (or at least anime on /a/ anyway).
I watched it on my own and if it weren't for the Nazi bit I wouldn't have understood why anyone cared
Lawyer Gai is best Gai.
All I know is the discussions were really enjoyable.
I think images with smei-creative text in Impact font was a lot more popular then. I feel like I don't see that as much anymore.
damn, now i wanna watch this wreck again, but I think it would only be good if there was a stream for us all to hate it all over again
Dumping some Party Gai
>I feel like I don't see that as much anymore.
/a/ whips out the Impact when it's having fun. It hasn't had as much fun as it had with GC in a while so it hasn't used Impact as much.
Why is there so little porn for GC? I get that it was a shit show, but damn Tsumugi had that ass, Inori had the best slut clothing, Ayase had some good breasts, and Hare was best girl.
Come on Japan!
GC was the last time I had fun with /a/
You should've joined us for Retarded Dragon Girls. /a/ actually has fun pretty much every season, it's just never on the scale of GC. You've gotta look for the right threads.
Did you not watch Psychop-Ass with us?
>Hare was best girl.
But Ayase was best girl.
Isn't every series made by Sunrise a train wreck of Guilty Crown proportions? Wasn't Production I.G. just infiltrated by their shitters and sabotaged?
That's funny Anon. Ayase doesn't even have a leg to stand on. She's nothing compared to Hare.
but you both are wrong
All of you are wrong, Shoe is best girl.
Guilty Crown had so much potential though. Character designs were good, OST was good, animation was decent, and some of the plot lines would've been great if they had just settled down and followed through with one, instead of the convoluted mess we ended up with.
>when is there gonna be another train wreck of Guilty Crown proportions?
that's just the next Kawamori, nobody expected it to be good.
ah, the good times that were had
>no dancing Snoops
>Isn't every series made by Sunrise a train wreck of Guilty Crown proportions?
They say that about original Sunrise anime that isn't a Gundam series.
>Wasn't Production I.G. just infiltrated by their shitters and sabotaged?
No they were just hacks in general. Along with Tetsuro Araki.
fuck it, downloading shitty BD re-encodes so I don't bottom out my toaster on this of all things
I miss dropping that shit every week.
yeah it was fun.
I marathoned through it with no stop. It was quite a chore with the second part.
>9/10 art, animation and designs
>decent voice acting
>amazing OPs and OST
>literally the worst writing and shittiest plot ever conceived by man
I'd be pretty pissed if I worked at I.G. on the show.
>literally the worst writing and shittiest plot ever conceived by man
>look at me, I've watched a total of 3 anime in my entire life
Not >>100280062, but the GC script really was a whole new level of terribad.
It's still bad you buttmuncher.
GC was so fucking bad it managed to outdo even my abysmally low standards after the first episode. I'm not even limiting that comment to the scope of anime. It's so unbelievably shit I could have picked any random person off the street to write the story and they would have left me less bitter.
I thought the consensus for the worst anime ever made was Master of Martial Hearts.
GC is still better than garbage like valvrave and samurai flamenco and those two have vocal circlejerk around here, Maybe it is time to stop being such entitled double standard hipsters.
Or not, you retards are irrelevant anyway. GC was a success.
GC was one of my favourite anime of the year.
The script was mostly fine, it was just the loose ends, weird handling of characters who should have been more front-and-center than they actually were, and the unintentional hilarity of a lot of the scenes that made GC what it was.
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. That or you're being excessive in an attempt to fit in with the whole trainwreck mindset.
>The script was mostly fine, it was just the loose ends
Nah, it just was an incohesive clusterfuck of ideas and plotlines, many of them taken from other shows. And the characters being cliché, shallow and inconsistent as fuck didn't help either
>many of them taken from other shows.
The same can be said about pretty much every other show. Idiot.
I feel like way too many people try to speak seriously on GC when the only time they ever watched it was while it was airing. Let's get one thing straight: while the threads were golden, GC really isn't a show meant to be watched week to week.
When you sit down and watch it over a much shorter time frame, it's pretty much an entirely different series. That's not to say it's without its flaws, because believe me, I could make a pretty comprehensive list of dropped storylines and convoluted metaphors that the show could have done without, but it's by no means "the worst writing and shittiest plot ever conceived by man" as the drama monger up there was trying to tout.
Not really, or not to the extent of GC at least, which just kept throwing random plotlines every episode or two just to keep the show going.
Can you give an example of this?
Honestly, pretty much everything after ep 10.
Are you going to give me an example of this or not?
In a normal year GC would have gotten all the porn but just look at 2011.
I'm not going to sit and speed-rewatch the whole series and make a detailed list of all the asspulls and plotlines that come out of nowhere and go absolutely nowhere just to try to convince a fanboy that will dismiss it anyway.
So 3 episodes? I felt those were the most straightforward ones. And half of one was just a clip recap. You're the guy who was in that thread yesterday right?
It definitely has lots of flaws, but I really loved what it tried to do, and thought it mostly did a good job at it. I wish to watch it soon in one go to see how different it is. And S2 should be better managed going into it, too,
Every single popular anime is a frankenstein of other stuff: Madoka, Code Geass, Fate, Evangelion. And "GC did it worse hurr" No, it didnt.
So you're just whining, then. Never mind.
wait, season 2?
when the fuck did that happen?
Probably that new Bones original that is upcoming.
Yeah, it's getting a S2
The anime was originally just made as promotional material for the live action Gatchaman movie they made, but it ended up more popular and better received than that crappy thing, so it was a pretty surprising turn of events.
So that's a no?
>just to try to convince a fanboy that will dismiss it anyway.
Really, anon? I can name more abandoned plotlines than you can from the looks of it. For example, Shu's face not showing up on Daryl's monitor.
Oh my god I am a fucking moron please ignore my posts
No, I mean literally everything after that point, the Instrumentalization, the flashback about the sister he somehow forgot and continently remembered out of nowhere, the shift to post-apocalyptic survival, the random culture festival, the King of the school, the whole Shürer arc, Gai coming back from the death as a bad guy, the other retarded flashback that turns Shuu into Jesus and the whole "I was just pretending to be the bad guy because reasons" final fight.
> GC will be 2 years old soon.
Time does fly
> the Instrumentalization
I'm tired as fuck and not sure what you're talking about with this. Do you mean the whole thing with Mana's song vs Inori's song?
> the flashback about the sister he somehow forgot and continently remembered out of nowhere
Shoe had been traumatized by the event and made himself forget to cope. He remembered thanks to being in close proximity with both Mana and Gai again.
> the shift to post-apocalyptic survival
How was this a "random plotline"? The city had been ravaged by the Apocalypse Virus again following Mana's partial resurrection; Shu explains in episode 13 that after Gai's death, Tokyo had been placed under a blockade that had yet to let up.
>the random culture festival
Having a culture festival at that time was bizarre, I agree, but remember that this was the basis for introducing the genomic resonance gauge. It wasn't without its purpose.
>the King of the school, the whole Shürer arc,
Both of these in turn arose as a result of the discovery of the genomic resonance gauge and served to show the audience the risk behind using Voids as weapons. Again, these aren't random plotlines to keep the show going, they had an overarching purpose.
>the other retarded flashback that turns Shuu into Jesus
Diary episode? That was probably the most important episode in the entire series, it brought Keido's and Kurosu's story full-circle using Gai and Shoe.
>and the whole "I was just pretending to be the bad guy because reasons" final fight.
I dislike the final fight for many reasons, but Gai was not "pretending to be the bad guy". His entire role in the show was devoted to showing that he is a person who will do anything no matter how heinous to achieve his goals. If Gai ever pretended to be anything, it was when he presented himself as someone interested in Japan's future.
When Keido resurrected him, he learned that his objective had not been cleared as he thought it had been in his dying moments. He carried on being the exact same person he was in the first half of the show: somebody obsessed with his goals to the point where he'd tread on anyone and anything to get what he wanted.
Yeah, you shouldn't pay that much attention to the direction and how the show presents itself unless you want some laughs.
Araki can't direct for shit but people love it.
Yeah, he really fucked up with GC and SnK.
>GC was shit
>the script was shit?
>it just is
I think there are a total of 10 people on /a/ who actually know how to deliver meaningful critique. "It was [negative fluff word goes here]" isn't a fucking argument, it's the basis for which you must deliver an argument by providing examples and detailed reasoning.
Bandwagon effect. /a/nons were just seeking popular opinions and spewing them forever.
The mythical NTR scene is just one of them.
Give Ayase the chocolate.
I will never get what Shoe is trying to do here.
Works better with this picture here:
"Scrooge, please take these girls away from me. I'm too weak."
You missed Vulvashit.
What will it be this season? Buddy Complex is Sunrise mecha, but it's actually decent.
Spoiler: Blondi is Shu's real mother after GHQ turned her into a void weapon
Oh, did you play Lost Christmas? How was it? What's the context of Scrooge and Present making out?
It also gets barely threads because it isn't going full retard
Was fun but short. Only like 4 hours long.
Pretty good action scenes for a visual novel and the Guilty Crown OST really helps.
I played it without any translation and read the summary on different blogs but the VN obviously answers some questions regarding the anime.
Ah, I see.
Man, I really wish it'd get translated. The OVA had a really neat mood to it and the script was impressive.
I already mail'd the group who claimed that they want to do it but i got no answer.
And no other group will pick it up if there is already one who claims to have interest.
It wouldn't even take long with that short lenght.
Let's see how WIT does that here.
>Find a summary of Lost Christmas
>Carol gives the truth about herself. While Scrooge thinks she is another pursuer, Yet to Come (similar nickname as Ghost of Christmas Present), Carol says that Yet to Come is their (Scrooge & Carol) unborn child. That’s why, Carol didn’t die even after so many Void broken (Kurosu said that a Void break=the owner’s death). The one who died is the unborn baby from Carol’s tummy, which can’t live nor die after it has crystalized. And it’s true that the baby monster from earlier is the form of their child. Now that Scrooge has known the truth, Carol gives Scrooge freedom to choose what to do.
Did they fuck or is this a metaphor or some sort?
MC is worse than Shu.
The baby is real.
It are even twins.
No idea if they had sex or if it was GHQ impregnating her with Scrooge semen.
I'm starting to think they might've fucked
Either way, I'm fapping.
I have absolutely no clue but I wish I did. I'm so fucking curious now, I really wonder if they had sex.
I hope they did, they're cute together.
>at the end it was all Gai's fault
Didn't she die in anime?
>Her true identity was revealed to be the vegetative-state Saeko Shijou, the presumed-dead ex-wife of Kurosu and the true mother of Shu and Mana. Upon Mana's frenzy during Lost Christmas, she was seen to be protecting Shu and Gai over the collapsing church, explaining their survival of Lost Christmas. The reason why she joined Da'ath is unclear, but it is thought that it is for the sake of protecting her daughter Mana.
Holy shit. This story is full of sluts.
She was a slut before.
Was it ever explained why Mana was monster and Shu wasn't?
Mana touched the crystal space-stone.
She dyied hair?
More like new-body.
Her real one got fucked by crystals.
How would you fix the script?
> Have Dan Eagleman appear in every episode
I dropped it at episode 8. I couldn't take it anymore which made it strange navigating the GC threads without having seen the actual show but I feel that I got the best of both worlds by doing so.
Well, that was easy.
The show was too popular
GGO is the best arc, and it's actually somewhat decent by LN standards.
I remember watching guilty crown while constantly smoking weed and drinking.
I still have no idea what the fuck was going on during that entire show.
>You couldn't protect his smile
oh man I remember that thread, it was amazing
Wrong, Shu's mom is this robot: http://www.nitroplus.co.jp/game/lost_x/character/past/
Her body turned to mostly crystals and her mind degenerated to a near childlike state after giving birth to Mana, but Daath took the body and used it to to power multiple different destructive robots and gave her the new identity "Past". However, her motherly love and instincts remain, hence she goes berserk after the Apocalypse Virus outbreak and attacks Scrooge and Carol because they attempt to stop/harm Mana in order to save the city.
Present, the blonde girl, is a failed Void Genome experiment, similar to Scrooge, but her power is to control and manipulate Apocalypse crystals rather than instantly crystallize whoever comes into touch contact with her right hand. She can also crystallize people, but how she's able to do that isnt explicitly explained but she is able to do so without direct contact. Also the experiments performed on her caused some weird malformation of her secondary sex characteristics, which are also crystallized, so she also has a case of gender dysphoria. She attacks Scrooge out of jealousy (as well as on orders) because Scrooge has a partner in Carol and she has nobody.
Guilty Crown really doesn't give its characters a break.
>Guilty Crown really doesn't give the Ouma family a break.
Season 2 after WIT does Beatless Dystopia.
Good that Eoten S2 will take some years because no material
When was this?
VVV,GC and EVOL are of higher artistic value than that. SAO is just bad.
SAO is light novel adaptation. Everyone know what to expect. Unlike anime original.
Inori a cute
lost christmas adaption when
The VN is actually quite good and it would work well as a movie.
I prefer a terrible second season with lots of plotholes but with Inori in it.
I liked Scrooge as an MC a lot more than I liked Shoe, I think he has potential
Need to find an asspull to bring her back in that case.
Because he is a grown up and not your typical highschool MC.
He reminds me of Light
The characterdesign makes him look like Light.
Characterwise he is just the typical guy who has amnesia with a mix of brutality.
I didn't even know what this was until just now, watched the OVA, it was ok.
I'm guessing this is a prequel, but Scrooge looks like a lot like an older Shoe
Yeah a lot of people thought that Scrooge was future Shu.
Mainly because of the hair and that Proto-Carol had pink hair.
Why is Inori so worst girl of worst girls?
Why do you have shit taste?
You didn't watch KnK then?
KnK was never that popular and it lacked twists.
There are plenty girls worse than her.
It was of a lesser proportion it's true, but it was enjoyable before it went to complete shit.
KnK wasn't really earnest in the same way GC was. All of the idol stuff, for example, was just embarrassing to watch. It was bad, but not bad in the good kind of way.
Go away homo
Why isn't there a NTR doujin with Inori and Soda?
Nobody likes Soda.
Not even NTRfags.
Getting NTRd by Soda is a fate nobody wishes you - Not even your worst enemy.
People want to forget him. Even the staff did at the end.
Inori was worst than Soda though.
You don't get bored do you?
There was one just last season.
Can anyone explain what's up with the crystal bullshit?
Why don't you watch Guilty Crown?
Alien crystals landed on earth randomly.
Mana was there because wrong place and wrong time.
She became something like the crystal Eve/Queen thanks to that
Crystals in her brain want that she mates in order to make everything crystals
I didn't get it and I'll not sit through it again.
Then deal with that and move on to other shows.
If Shoe went blind at the end, why didn't he just get cybenetic eyes along with his arm?
dat pink ass
But it just bothers me how everything feels half explained and doesn't make any sense to me.
Also was it ever foreshadowed that Gai was Shu's childhood friend?
Yes. Now get out.
Gai knows who Shu is form the start.
Why would he know who a random highschool boy is if he doesn't know him personally?
He watched half of the series together with /a/ just to socially troll it. Why even bother explaining such thing.
What about Another? Those threads were hella fun
I also smoked a bowl before watching every episode, that might be slightly related to it.
That and Psycho-Pass were so much fun to watch with /a/.
List out please.
Wow, still getting fanarts
Inori is getting a decent new artwork every few days.
EGOIST is still very relevant.
Where the Segai fanart at?
It is mostly yaoi .
But there is also some good stuff
Don't open the Pandora's Box.
I guess I should have known.
Haha there is a massive Segaifag on pixiv.
>after the first episode
Dude, the first episode was awesome. All of /a/ was very much hyped at it. Stop trying so hard to fit in.
You have excellent tastes, anon.
>wake up in your room
Inori lives while Shu gets the jesus ending.
>Inori being alone
>not vanilla end with babies
Inori would end up with Soda
Nobody ends up with Soda because Soda being happy is not what GC wants.
-Lick her face
-Try to get rid of that red dress
-Fill her womb with my thick semen
-Put her in a cage
-Rape her again daily till i can confirm that she is pregnant
-After that i release her far away from humanity somewhere in the woods and let her rot there
People enjoying watching shows (GC for example) and then calling them bad are just cancerous. If you enjoy it, then it's apparently good, unless you openly admit enjoying eating shit.
GC was genuinely not appealing, unlikeable characters and lame premise. I think I dropped it at ep 4 or 5. VVV was actually very very fun, scratch the last 3-4 episodes and it deserves 7/10 or 8/10.
Segai gets the last void genome and achieves main character status.
I liked both.
Good, as long as you don't claim they're shit despite liking it.
It's like watching Plan 9 From Outer Space, man. It's an awful, poorly constructed mess, but fun because of that.
Nisekoi is a horrible adaption of an even more horrible source.
Shu doesn't end up blind. That was completely unnecessary.
Inori is for those who want diabetis vanilla sex with handholding and sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation
Ayase is for those who want to cuddle her and care about her.
Tsugumi is for those who are either pedo or into kinky stuff
Hare is for all-arounders
Kanon is for those who are too beta to choose a more important character
Arisa is for those who want to rape and abuse her
Nah it was definitely that shitty writer they hired that truly made this shit what it was. It looked good and had talented people on board. But that shitty writing is what nailed it.
I.G needs to get Kamiyama back in the picture. he's just off marketing and making adds for I.G.
It's a gamble.
With enough luck she will give birth to a girl that will come after me because revenge and then i can rape and impregnate her as well just like her mother.
And if it's a son i can get a death fight.
Of course there is also the case that she dies in the woods or nothing happens.
I kind of wonder if maybe he kept the blindness just to have something that was Inori's.
Post the one where Shoe looks really good with that shirt.
You know the one.
This is one of my favorite official arts ever just for Shoe in that shirt. Stay handsome and well-dressed, Shoe.
I think I saw a Levis shirt that looked exactly just like that the other day.
Shoe is a sharp dresser.
I think the funniest thing about Guilty Crown is the fact that Segai had his mechanical eye thing, mecha are flying around engaging in combat, Funell exists, and Shoe had a robo arm at the end of the series, yet Ayase did not have an electric wheelchair.
>so much capslock cancer
Apart from the ending, it wasn't too bad. There are way worse series out there.
I love that Segaifag. They're so devoted.
Husbando loyality at its finest.
Oh god you know me well.
Why does this thread still exist?
Because Inori is a miracle of the universe and people like nostalgia and rape fantasies.
Because if mods started deleting shitty threads they wouldn't have time to sleep
And if they don't sleep there can't be K-ON th-
This explains a lot, doesn't it?
Yeah, you can clearly see a pattern.
>mfw currently watching gulity downs
>mfw I see all these pictures for the first time
Where can I watch anime with /a/
Livestreams when shows air.
Check out mahou or anime countdown dot th
>you will never hold her
>you will never kiss her
>you will never fill her womb with semen on a dangerous day and impregnate her
I don't get it.
I found mahou but can't see any livestream links
I've seen some livestream threads where the links have been posted, but other than that, nothing. I've been here fore over 2 years now.
Also, how am I supposed to find out where to get the links if no one ever mentions it.
We have an archive
For one thing, that list is incomplete a bit inaccurate as well. See ANN or even Wikipedia for more information.
For another, it explains that I liked most of his original work (Overman King Gainer, Code Geass), save for Valvrave and even less so Guilty Crown ( which was Yoshino's baby anyway, but he collaborated with him). Most of his individual episodic scripts are fine though, as well as some of his adaptations.

Admittedly, the guy needs to take a break from another crazy mecha show though and try something else lately.
