French weeaboos love this show for some reason.

Explain that to me.

I've only watched it a couple of times when it aired where I lived and it seemed pretty cool. Reminded me of Fist of the North Star. Bloody parts, I remember some characters almost died in fights because of blood loss.
>>
anon of philadelphia, DO YOU GO TO NESHIMETY MALL? (i spelled that shit wrong but you should know what mall i'm talking about).
>>
PAR LES METEORES DE PEGASE !!

I can assure you that Mexico loves Saint Seiya a lot more than France. A comic/manga store in Mexico can't survive if it doesn't have Saint Seiya or Dragon Ball merchandise. Still, to this day, you can see a shitload of Saint Seiya merchandise in comic conventions and people claiming that it's the best anime ever. The reason for this is that like Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya is an anime many people grew up with, and everyfuckingbody knows it.

Ironically enough I live in Paris now, and I haven't seen Saint Seiya stuff anywhere. Though I don't have French weeaboo friends as of now.

This shit was all the rage in China when it was airing 15 years ago.

This is why I love Saint Seiya.

Only reason I brought this up is because when I did an engineering intern in Tokyo for three months, I stayed in an apartment with a French roommate, and he had these fucking 200 BAJILLION YEN Saint Seiya figurines and he fussed over them all day.

And it's pretty much all he talked about. I knew it was called "Knights of the Zodiac" in the USA. Didn't know why this particular Frenchman had such high regard of it.
>>
>>10027066
Yeah these figurines were extremely popular in France back in the days.
>>
>>10027011
I bet that if there's so much good French football players right now, it's thanks to Captain Tsubasa. Like everyone wanted to play volleyball after Attacker You.
>>
>>10027132
Wow, no.
>>
>>10027157
He's right. Thierry Henry himself said he began to play Football seriously because he was a fan of "Olive et Tom" aka Captain Tsubasa.

Inspiring anime is inspiring.
