Loved the show.
The darkness inside character's personality is just breathtaking.
And the OSTs.
I found it far too predictable and the dialogue/characters boring as fuck.
I was laughing all the way through the 'dock' scene, before about then it was merely average
Way to ruin the VN for yourself.
I recently watched it too. I liked it as long as they were in the US, it wasn't great but pretty fun with a lot of homage to other movies/shows, but then it just got too stupid. There were a lot of details that were left unexplained or were outright stupid but the thing I really couldn't handle was the MCs inability to explain himself. He never even tried to defend himself as people accused him of all kind of bullshit (with the result of shit always spiraling out of control). The last "showdown" seemed like it could have completely averted if he had only told Cal what had actually happened.
it is a powerful warning against miscommunication
I enjoyed it myself. Fuck the naysayer hipsters.
Or against being a retard
>point out obvious flaws
You probably think SAO is a great as well
Just like every romcom ever?
Thought it was pretty crappy.
I watched 4 episodes of this then completely forgot it existed only to be reminded of it again just now.
Is it worth watching?
Cal's Eastwood reference was the whole point of the show
First opening was god tier, second one was complete shit.
You mean DeNiro?
The best part of the show was Zwei's hilarious theme song.
You have to realize that actions speak louder than words. Cal was so pissed and brainwashed for such a long time that no matter what he Zwei could've said it more than likely wouldn't change anything. It was that deeply cemented into her mind.
Yes, this is what the show tried to portrait but it failed miserably. If Cal would have had zero interaction before the showdown with him I could have bought it but since he was given several opportunities to explain himself it all felt (forgive me for using the word) forced. It was all made worse as she completely forgives him as soon as she is shot, it made everything feel meaningless in a way that wasn't intended.
This could primarily have been a problem with directing, at least that was what it felt like. It might work better as a VN
I think she just gave up after she was shot. There was no point in still acting like a child and having such a petty issue with him.
There is a VN but I don't know if that particular scenario was in a route.
Gen Urobuchi garbage
And that seems reasonable to you? She just changing her mind like flipping a switch? Doesn't that negate the previous thing you said about her being so brainwashed that trying to reason with her would be futile?
But he didn't reason with her for her to change her mind.
She came to the conclusion on her own once all was said and done and there's no point in continuing her little tantrum.
What show is this?
the ending was WTF tier. thankfully the remake VN on the PC players were able to avert that kill\em all ending. Pic related.
this is relevant, its the only thing i took out of this show
