When exactly did Gantz jump the shark? When and how should it have ended?
Jumped the shark at the vampires.
Should have ended when he revived Tae.
fukin' vamps, m8
Italy, everything went downhill when they went meet Mario and Luigi.
I dropped it at the very beginning with dinosaur bullshit. I pity the fools who continued to read that wreck.
Osaka arc or the vampires(but I liked the vampires personally because Vampire Fight Club)
For me it was when people began getting revived. Totally ruined the whole concept and completely got rid of the reason why I kept reading- to see who would be strong enough to survive.
Eventually it became "oh, you're not powerful enough? No worries, the dragon balls will revive you next chapter!"
But what ever happened with the vampires? I read all of Gantz in a few weeks, but I don't remember much of them. Like, they showed up, and then... they vanished
Oku has a new series begining this year, I hope he is back to his mindless violence / romance / fanservice roots, much like Ogure Ito he thought he can make something that started rather simple into a "deep" and "thought provoking" work by making things insane.
>Like, they showed up, and then... they vanished
Yep, thats about it. Even the one on the team.
The fact people could get revived wasn't out of place though, the thing at the very begining with Kishimoto getting cloned due a failed suicide attempt.
Yeah, that actually pretty cool. Maybe not what people expected, but I marathoned the entire series after it was done, so my expectations never really settled before things went haywire.
Host and Kill Bill did jack shit in the Final Phase, Oku somehow rembered their exsitence in the very final chapter, with a small panel were they are blending into the crowd just watching Kurono becoming the Messiah.
